Dominos is one of the best known pizza companies on the high street and I felt it had a great reputation until yesterday but I'll talk about that part later in the review. The company offers mainly pizzas, but they now do sides like wedges and dips along with dessert and drinks. They also offer a make your own pizza where you can choose the topping however you have to pay an extra amount per ingredient after cheese and tomato. There pizzas are overall very tasty with a nice thick and chewy base which is generally cooked really well and not over done like some shops do. Plus they come with dips which are delicious. They're prices are quite expensive as a small pizza is about £7 or £8 and a large is £12. However they frequently send out vouchers for 2 for 1 deals and every Tuesday its 2 for Tuesdays where pizzas are buy one get one free which makes it better value as I would never pay full price there. Service is usually okay they often have a lot of foreign people working there and so communication can be a slight issue. After taking your order they make your pizza up and you can see them doing this which is good but it can take a while up to 20 minutes usually and they often get really busy. Sometimes it is a good idea to order before you go and collect this way you don't have to wait in the shop. Regarding my experience yesterday, well as I am at a university in Sheffield in which they were giving away free personal pizza vouchers out so everyone can get a free 4 slice pizza with the voucher. We learnt that it was quicker to get the upgrade for a £1 to a 6 slice and so this is what we wanted to do. Upon arrival there was a queue of at least 20 people outside the shop. We then got a member of staff saying it would be around 20 minutes wait for the pizza which at the time we thought wasn't too bad as they was really busy. However they said this numerous times and eventually we got to the front of the queue a whopping 2 HOURS later!! As our pizzas weren't as important as they higher paying customers we had to wait till someone was free to make them. After getting to the desk I asked if I still had to pay for the pizza as waited so long and was given a blunt response of yes! I thought this was terrible service as it was the least they could have done as the whole reason they were doing these vouchers was to get repeat custom and this just back flipped on them big style This review is also available on Ciao under the same username.
If you want a natural look then I would go for the boots natural collection, I find that the foundation does cover up any blemishes and you can't tell your wearing it. Unless say you go for a darker colour than your skin tone as I have really pale skin but I tried the darkest shade in it which does look really dark on. The price of this foundation is really good as it costs £1.99 or 3 for £5 and it does last me ages as I find that you don't have to put much on with it blending into your skin colour, although 40mls doesn't sound a lot you'll be surprised at how long it lasts. You can also mix and match the foundations with other Natural collection products which is very ideal and it comes in 4 or 5 different shades Although it does say its fragrance free I do feel I has a slight putty smell to it if you know what I mean but to me it smells does smell quite nice. It also have quite a thick texture which does make it slightly harder to apply then other foundations thay i have used but having siad this the tube does last quite awhile this could be because you don't need to apply as much because its a natural looking foundation. I do find that it doesn't last long on my face as it wears off quite quick so you can see any impurities on your skin that you tried to cover up, this is a bit of a disappointment as I hate having to keep reapplying make-up so one thing that I would suggest is mix it in with another foundation this is what I tend to do. I generally just put the natural collection foundation on if I'm just in the flat all day but if I'm off out I'll apply it with another. In my opinion this product is really easy to remove with a face wipe or water, which is good as i don't like spending a lot of time to remove make-up. Overall it is a good price maybe not the best of products to use on its own its definitely one you could put with a slightly more expensive foundation as with it being cheap it will make your dearer one stretch further, hope this helps. I am hopeless with straighteners as for some reason the past 5 pairs that I have had seemed to all have broken within about 8 months which really did annoy me as there not the cheapest of things. The BaByliss ones are amazing I got them last September as a present for going to university and they still work perfectly. ------Price & place------- My Dad let me chose them so I know that they cost at about nearly £100 from boots but I did see them on offer at Christmas time at half price so a good time to get them you can also get them from Amazon at £99.99 Sainsbury also sell them for £79.97 there are various other places that do sell these strengtheners they are a really good buy for how good they are. ----The Product----- The straighteners have 3 heat settings: 180, 200 and 230 degrees I have tried it on all these settings now I always go for 230degrees but it depends on your preference as I do find that they get really hot. Although this means that it does straighten your hair quicker which is for me best. When I do other peoples hair I do put it on 200 as I am really cautious and worried I might burn them I also find that this is best for really short hair. The strengtheners have a on and off button they flash red and go green when they're ready to use which takes 15 seconds. Another good thing about the product is that it does look nice and stylish with its metalic purple look. its really nice girly! With the hair straighteners you get a heat matt which is really useful as you can just put the straighteners down after using them or you can leave them on there whilst heating up its really ideal. The hairstraighteners come in a purple heat bag this is so you can put your straighteners in whilst they are hot and take them whereever you go which is ideal if your in a rush. -----What I Think---- I love them they do my hair better then my previous straightens, my hair never gets frizzy and they have lasted me longer than other straighteners now they are a little expensive at £100ish pounds but as I have mentioned you can get them on offer. I would recommend this product to anyone as they are really easy to use and it doesn't take long to get hair straight! (This review is also available on Ciao under the same username)
These Pumps are sold to be worn for Gynastics but so many people now wear them now out and about. They are great as men or women can wear them and are very versatile on when you can wear them. I have worn mine during the day time most but have also worn them on the beach as they are easy to walk in. On appearance they don't look too bad, they have a long Velcro stretchy part on the front which can when you get a brand new pair irritate the top of your foot for the first couple of wear but after that it soon wears off. They come in black and white in most sizes and in the smaller sizes and kids versions they come in purple, pink and blue. The shoes also have small grips on the white sole of the shoe which makes them stand out a bit more. They are sold in Decathlon which don't have all that many stores in the UK but they do have a website so can make the company more accessible. Price wise they are a very good price at only £4.99 which I think is really great for shoes and I have often bought a couple of pairs at once as whenever you go in store they are always selling really fast. When wearing these shoes you need to be careful not to walk over a lot of stones as they do have very thin bottoms and literally no padding in the shoes so you feel whatever you walk along. Having said that I can wear a pair all day and not complain about how my feet hurt which I think is impressive. They are very easy to slip on and off which is good if you're in a hurry and look great with skinny jeans or leggings. However I have also warn them with dresses in the day time and they don't go that great with these I must admit. I also find that putting an insole in the bottom of the shoe helps to relive your feet so I do this with these are they are quite thin bases. After wearing the pumps for about a month or slightly longer everyday they do start to smell if you wear them with bare feet and so I often stick them in the washer and they do come out okay although slightly lighter in colour but, once washed twice I do throw them away but at this price why not? Size wise I do find them slightly small fittings so I would go a size larger, but the good thing here is that they offer half sizes quite often which gives you the perfect fitting shoes. They are however listed in a European size guide E.G 44 instead of an 9 or 10 whatever it is. All in all a great shoe to wear in the day at a fantastic price just could do with being more comfy for long term usage.
This hairdryer is really good as it has 3 heat/cold settings which means that you can chose the temperature that suits you best I personally use the highest as I like to dry my hair quickly. I have to admit that it does get very hot so you do have to hold it a bit away from your head. It also has 3 speed settings so you can have it slow, medium or fast yet again I have it on the higher setting. It does make my hair feel nice and soft when it's dried and it doesn't make my hair frizzy even on the highest speed and temperature which I am surprised at as my hair is really fine. It is quite a big hairdryer but that doesn't bother me too much as it does my hair well and it does have a rubber grip on it so it doesn't slide out my hand. I bought this product from comet about 3 years ago so as you can see it has lasted a long time especially when threes 3 people in the house that use it, the cost of the hair dryer was between £15 and £20 as it was on offer definitely good for the price.
As i have said before i love nail polish and this own brand one from Superdrug is really good i can wear it for 5 days before it starts to chip which is really good as others can chip really easy. This one is quite small at only 6.2ml but even so i have had it used it a lot and i mean a lot as i really like the colour as its a cross between purple and pink i do feel that even though it is small it does last awhile. The price is amazing as it is only £1 from Superdrug and i can't think of any complaints about this product at all. I find that it is easy to apply to the nail it can be quite light on the first application but i always put two coats on with any nail polish all in all i have to admit it is my favorite nail varnish as i love the colour and i love the price! It only takes about a minute to dry which isn't long at all and its not too runny but its not too thick either which makes it easy to apply even my boyfriend manages to apply it to my toes without making a complete mess. This nail varnish also comes in a variety of different shades all togethers there 18 i'm not going to name them all but to name a few there are pinks, peaches, silver, blues etc which are all perfect for any type of occasion just choose the colour that suits you, definately a must buy for any nail polish lover!
Me and my boyfriend bought this laptop as our other one stopped working we looked around different shops that sell laptops but found that this was one of the better ones at a reasonable price. I can't remember mu h of what we had to do to set it up but I remember that the battery was easy to insert into the back and that it was really easy I remember having to set the time and date and what language you use. I also remember that it take a bit to boot up as it had to apply settings but there is a guide that comes with it which tells you how to set it up which is really useful and will help you if you have any difficulties. This laptop has a 15.6 inch screen which was a bit smaller than our previous laptop I did find it quite small at first but I got used to it after about a week. It has a 500 GB hard drive which is really good as this means that it has a lot of memory which means you can store a lot of information on the laptop such as music, games, pictures etc. This is really good as I like to play the odd games which do take up a lot of room on laptops especially ones with expansion packs and it's good for university work. I also like to take lots of photos every time I go out whether it's a night out or just a trip out shopping away from home so I need a lot of space to store the photos this and it is really easy to connect your camera or mobile phone up to the laptop and you can have them both in at the same time as it has 4 USB ports which is ideal when you want to multi task. It has 4gb RAM which again is also really good as the higher the RAM the quicker the laptop will perform, I have found that this laptop is quick when using applications and games I definitely prefer it to a laptop which only has 2/3 RAM as I can tell the difference between the performance. The laptop has a few games on it which are just standard ones that you get on many laptops such as solitaire, minesweeper, FreeCell etc all which are good just to pass a bit of time. It is also easy to connect to the internet whether it is by cable or by wireless both work really well. I have also watched DVDs on here and I find that the picture quality is really good I also like the sound quality as I find it a bit louder than the previous laptop we had although odd times it can has a slight echo sound to it but I don't find that a problem as I have found sometimes the sound on mobile phones are like this. One problem with this laptop is that it only has 3hours battery life so when I want to use wireless downstairs for a few hours as I do go on the laptop a lot I have to bring the electric cable down, it could be a problem for others if they want to go on long journeys but there again you can always plug it in like I do, one good thing though is you do get a warning 15minutes before it shuts down so it gives you an opportunity to save your work or plug it in I have to admit on lazier occasions I have let it shut down but it just resumes windows the next time you come to use the laptop which is another thing I like. I find that the laptop is fairly light I don't find it heavy at all which is good when you want to take it downstairs or when taking back to university. Another thing about this laptop is that it stays 25% cooler than body temperature and I have noticed that it is cooler than the previous 3 laptops that I have used but I'm not so sure that it is 25% cooler as it does get fairly warm but I don't find it uncomfortable. Another thing I'm not as keen on is the keypad as it is touch screen its bumpy so sometimes I find it's a bit slow to scroll so I do prefer a smooth touch pad you just need to press a bit harder with this laptop. The price of this laptop was around £329 on offer at Curry's it had about £120 discounted I thought this was a really good price for a laptop for how bit the hard drive and RAM it has as some are in excess of £500 this is not something I would have wanted to pay out as with being a student every penny is needed. I would definitely give this laptop a 4 out of 5 as the only things letting it down is the keypad which could be easier to scroll on the pad, it claims it is 25% cooler than body temperature but I think it does get warmer than that and the slight echo when watching anything on the laptop.
I decided to purchase the Argos value toaster as I didn't want to pay out a lot and this was one of the cheapest I could find. I only got the value one though because there was no toaster in the student accommodation where I was living with 5 other people which meant everyone would use it as it was a shared kitchen and I left it behind when I left as there wasn't enough room in the car for all my stuff. Now this toaster was really good as it does do its job I have cooked both muffins and toast in it and they always turn out well. You do have to watch the bread though just to make sure it doesn't burn if you have it on a high heat which is what I always have it on as I don't like waiting for bread toast so it only took just over a minute to toast whereas someone in the flat did always turn it down to 3 and I find that takes about 2 minutes to toast. The heat dial does go from one to 5 I would recommend to have it onto 5 but I do pop it up before it pops up itself it depends on how you like your toast done. One thing that i did find is the plastic that covers the metal bit underneath handle did come off but you could clip it back on which was a bit of a faff so i generally just pushed the metal bit down instead, the toaster still worked just as good. I will definitely buy this toaster again in a few weeks when I return to university as it was a really good buy which I didn't expect from the value range at under under £5. It is easy to clean as all you have to do is give it a slight shake and the crumbs that have not already fallen will fall out. The plastic outer layer doesn't really get dirty but if it does just wipe it with a slight damp cloth when the toaster is turned off. I have always loved cheese and crackers with a dollop of chutney on them, and when I found this on a trip to Morrison's I couldn't help but to give it a try. I was first attracted to this by the bright packaging that it comes in which instantly draws attention to it and so does the price. When I bought it, I paid just 60p for a large tub of it this compares to the leading brand which is priced at three times as much. Ok the leading brand is creamier but I still wouldn't pay that much more just for that. This soft cheese does taste quite cheesy but not overpoweringly so and has a slight creamy taste as you would expect. On first opening of the tub it looks pretty much exactly the same as the leading brand as its got the same thick white consistency. Its also very easy to spread like others and so you don't get clumps when spreading and can be done so quickly. The cheese goes really well with chutney or pickle or used in a cheesecake and when used in things like this you cannot tell the difference between the brands. I have noticed though after a few days of being open it does start to go a tad watery on the top which I haven't noticed so much with others so that's its only downside. However on the tub it does say to use within a few days to a week of opening. Also when you're using the soft cheese to make say a cheesecake you need to use it all and so the packaging although cheap its well designed as you can squeeze the sides of the tub together in order to get all the contents out. This is better than others as they have stronger tubs meaning you have to spoon everything out.
I really do love nail polish I can't go out without having my nails done unless at university I am in the kitchen in which I have to take it off which of course I don't like but it needs to be done for hygiene reasons. Anyway I was bought this nail varnish for Christmas and I do find that it is really good it does stay on my nails for about 5days that's when they start to chip but I guess it would depend on how much you use your hands and depends what you're doing. They come in a clear plastic container which is basically just to keep them together; this is good as it save having them loose you can just keep them in the container when you're not using them which are ideal. They are nice colours but I do find that they are a bit too light you definitely need 2 or 3 coats for them to be able to stand out but I do know that some people like a light nail varnish. They are a good price as they cost me £3 for a triple pack which I don't find dear at all as some can cost that for just one. I do find it a bit difficult to apply as with the colours being really light it is hard to get an even colour but it's not so bad when you apply more coats which in my opinion are needed if you want to see the colours properly. It smells like nail varnish smells thats all i can say about the smell. It is a good nail varnish especially for the price but could have a slightly bigger brush as it is quite small but I guess this is because the bottle is small this could also help as it would apply the varnish more evenly and I do find the price good defiantly a product I will purchase again.
Well I have only been to Pizza Express 3 times but each time I have ordered something different and have been more impressed each time. Pizza Express is a chain of restaurants that offer pizza, pasta, salad and chicken dishes. They also offer takeaways and also have their own branded range of pizzas and sauces in the supermarkets. I have only visited two branches in my life and both have been very nicely decorated to their own unique style with the local area in mind which stops them from looking like any other Italian chain restaurant. I also love the company as they always have deals which you can print off and take in for example I recently used 40% all main courses which I saved about £8 from. Most of their meals are priced fairly highly so it's well worth trying to get a voucher. For example the average price of a pizza costs around £8. Within their restaurant they offer many pasta dishes and usual dishes like lasagne. They are also well known for changing their menu frequently which makes the dining experience ore exciting. The quality of their ingredients used is very good as many of them are fresh for example they use fresh herbs on their pizza along with other oils etc which add flavour to the dishes. They are also very authentic looking rather than being overly processed which some restaurants will use mass produced ingredients to add taste. The staff in the restaurants are also very friendly and welcoming and will show you to your table and leave you to decide what you want without hassling you for time. Once ordered the food comes in a speedy service I think we had to wait around 10 minutes and this was at a peak time which I thought was very good. They are also very attentive as they will ask if you require any seasonings or cheese on your order. Staff also check back at your table to see how your meal is going which most restaurants do I believe. Overall a highly enjoyable meal with plenty of choice to eat and contemporary restaurants around the country.
I've had this printer for many years now and it's still going strong well sort of. It's got the function of scanner and can print pictures from your laptop and it does this at an average level of satisfaction. I say only average as it has been known to leave red lines across the paper which ruins the quality of the picture. It also sometimes can leave ink dots onto the page quite randomly which looks unprofessional. The printer has a large slot for paper which can be adjusted for the paper size which I have used as it can sometimes go in at an angle and for a long period of time it printed my work out at an angle or on a slant which looked terrible. It does print quite fast and when it does print good quality it really looks good and without any lines or ink droplets. The printer also has buttons on the front for when you want to scan something or if when the ink has run out it will flash which is good to know. It does have some other buttons on but to be honest I haven't found the need to use these. When first setting it up it seemed reasonably easy to set and install as it came with a disk and followed this step by step through and also easy to send any updates to the printer. When scanning an item you will often have to put it at the opposite angle you want it to print out at as it comes up on screen differently to how you laid it out under the scanner. But this part is dead easy to use even for me. One disadvantage is that I have had trouble with it for it saying that the ink cartridges are empty when there still is ink in them as I have shaken them up and heard it inside. When changing the cartridges they are easy to take out as you press a button and the ink cartridges holder moves across a few times until it reaches a certain point for which you can pull them out. When re inserting them you just click it back in place. Price wise it cost me around £40 - £50 although this was around 6 years ago and was on special offer. The cartridges are around £12 each which I think is quite pricey as they need to be Epsom ones but you can get them in packs of 4 for about £30.
Having recently returned back from a short break in Brighton I felt it necessary to talk about National express as this is what we used to return back home. Our journey began at Brighton coach station where we got onto the coach which was already there and waiting. The driver let us onto the coach about 3 minutes before departing and I must admit I did not expect to have to put my own luggage on board especially considering it was throwing it down with rain. Just before boarded everyone has to show the driver your reference number which you get when you book and you just print off the email. This method is very easy as you don't need to receive any tickets. Once on board I was very surprised how nice the coach was, for example the seats were incredibly comfort and were leather which made it more luxurious. Also I noticed that each passenger gets a brief information pack on safety guidelines which are good to know. The coach also had a toilet on board which a lot of people seemed to use. Having got a seat at the back I thought it would be a bad place as it was next to the toilet but I think they must have had an air freshener in there as it smelt really fresh and clean. There was also the usual air conditioning and heating facilities above your seats which was good as older coaches always seem to be really hot and stuffy and this was totally opposite. When we departed from Brighton we left dead on time which I was impressed by and then from there on we made numerous stops along the way including Gatwick airport which people boarded on and off fairly quickly and the driver kept us informed throughout through the coach sound system. During the journey it seemed smooth and was in comfort throughout. Upon arrival at Victoria we had to change coaches and we managed to do this but this could have been better sign posted to which stop we was getting on at. This also took off at about the time it should have done and boarding the coach was done easily. This next stage of our journey took the longest and was the least enjoyable. We did however have a stop for a walk and food halfway but then ran into very heavy traffic which made our journey time around an hour longer than it should have done. Price wise I couldn't have got a better deal to Brighton as it cost two of us £18 one way which is a bargain really, although this was a summer special offer. We booked it online through their website which was easy to do and simple to understand and we just printed our reservation number off.
This is a shop that I have visited on numerous occasions and love some of their clothing as its really fashionable and often a lot of their clothing and accessories look like a cheaper alternative to designer branded clothing. The shop offers men's, women's and kids clothes as well as having a website. They have stores across the UK in major towns and cities with some being classes as mega stores which are larger than normal. Moving onto their clothing it is always the latest trends at a fairly reasonable price although they are more expensive than other high street stores. They do make up for it in quality though as I believe they offer good quality clothing. One disadvantage could be the fact they do not offer student discount like some of their rivals which is a great shame as it would be very useful here. There sizes are generally I find quite small compared to other stores as I have bought garments from here in the past and had to go up a size. I have also bought clothes from here for my boyfriend and he has really liked them as they seem to have a great selection of men's wear. Moving onto their website they have a well laid out site which is easy to navigate and is frequently updated as River Island change their clothing regularly to keep their offering fresh. Their customer service has always seem to have been good as when in the changing the staff will generally help you find your right size or style or offer helpful advice. I have on many a time asked if they have my size and they have always checked rather than said like others do that they have what's out which is very frustrating. They also have good large changing rooms but I have noticed they always seem far too hot which is annoying when you're getting changed and you just want to get out. There is an up to date review available on Ciao of River Island under the same username. Thanks for reading.
Now i have had many leggings as its all i wear apart from if i go bare legged as i find them really comfortable, now because i wear them all the time after awhile they do wear so i decided to try the ones from matalan as they are really good priced at £6 and because i am a student i get 10% off so i get the for£5.40 which for that price you can keep buying them. I found that the Matalan Viscose leggings them easy to wear as you can pull them up so they go over my stomach which helps to pull it in a bit and i find that it holds the leggings up although these ones are very good as they stay in place which i haven't found with many that i have worn before. They are very stretchy which is ideal for me as i have very big thighs and they fit to your legs so they don't look baggy. Even after they've been washed they don't lose their shape or their colour and i have had mine for nearly about 9months. Although they have had a slight hole or two at the seams but they have been easy to stitch up and once that has been done its not noticable. They are a really good buy and i would reccomend them to anyone who likes leggings and doesn't want to spend a lot for them.
