This was brought for me in a selection of Umberto Gianni products, and initially I thought 'Oh dry hair shampoo, I'l add it to my others. (First of all let me just let you know that I get through an awful lot of dry hair shampoo bottles each month, ranging from batiste to own brands e.g. boots and superdrug, tresemme etc) and this was the first time I had been given this particular one.
The first thing that struck me about this glorious bottle was the style and look of it. It comes it in professional looking black bottle, with a silver top. Underneath this silver top (which is capsule looking) is another top protecting the nozzle, which is clear and quite small. This tinier top is quite flexible and good quality but easy to get lost because it isn't very big. To be honest it looks good and is a nice touch, but it isn't really needed! On the front is a image of a woman with some BIG hair! But it looks good and a nice touch, and this is drawn in black and white. Above this is the description of the product, which is in a white/grey writing and again looks professional (not cheap!).
There are a few things about this product that I love and also think put it above the others that I have used - Yes I do think this one is the best definitely!
Firstly, the smell of the spray is really nice, it smells like you've just washed your hair! I often get people asking me what I've washed it with, when I have just in fact sprayed this. It smells 'fresh' if that's a smell?! I can't really explain it, just refreshing and lovely!
Secondly, the spray itself is quite light and unlike the others dispenses in hair really easily. It doesn't leave any large white patches like the others seem to do. It creates a lovely feeling and texture of the hair, and lasts for hours! I can spray it in the morning and it lasts throughout the day, or if I spray it at night, it lasts at night as well as throughout the morning. So it's not a 1 hour jobby, lasts a long time.
I have quite greasy hair (I also have a fringe) and its perfect to keep it lightweight and feeling fresh. As the smell isn't off putting I use it frequently and am a raving fan! It works great for hair that is feeling lanky and lifeless too, really improving on how it looks and in turn how you feel.
As you can imagine, this particular brand is one of some expense and unlike the other brands (which can be between £2-3, this is more £5-6. However, it is completely worth it in my opinion and is worthy of that price tag. Often boots have 3 for 2 promotions on, so if you get through dry hair shampoo like I do you could stock up on 3 bottles, or treat yourself to 2 other products instead. Boots also have the advantage of points (and in fact Superdrug do to) so no excuses. This is for 200ml too, so used quite regularly would last a couple of months or more.
As the title of the product suggest 'morning after dry shampoo' it is best to use it on the day where you could wash it, but trust me you can get away with using this (often the day after washing!!) so it really does save time. I would recommend this product definitely, smells great, looks so professional and overall gives exactly what you want - clean hair without the time to wash. It also makes hair really easy to style too, causing no disruption.
A fabulous accessory for the mornings, afternoons and evenings to freshen up and I hope they bring a small one out for my handbag. An outstanding product.
As I have mentioned in previous reviews I do enjoy Imperial Leather products and feel like they are a brand I can trust. They are also updating their bottles which is great.
This particular hand wash is simply gorgeous! The bottle is shaped very nice, with a curve at the top of the bottle. The cream is white, not too thick and is very soft on the skin. It smells lovely and is very kind to skin as well. It is quite a modern looking bottle, with a pump dispenser. The text is lovely and soft too, which represents the product entirely. It contains cotton milk and oat extract, which simply makes the product smell amazing! I love it, and my hands always smell and feel nice after.
The handwash can be used by all of the family as it is hypo-allergenic. Cotton milk also helps to soften skin and well as keeping it soothed. The bottle can also be recycled after! This particular bottle is 300ml, which lasts a few weeks, possibly a few more depending on where it is and how many people use it. But it is great value for a brand you can trust.
I don't usually pay above a £1 for this product although I have seen it for between £1.50-£1.80 at places. I would recommend shopping around and looking at a range of places like supermarkets (tesco/asda) as well as boots (which sometimes have some brilliant offers on for 75p or less) and superdrug. Poundland and home bargains often sell these as well for good prices. I like to buy a few when I find a good offer, just to keep stacked up!
I was attracted to this particular Imperial Leather product for a few reasons.
Firstly, I often buy these products and have never had a problem with this brand and the cleanliness it provides. Secondly, they tend to be on offer in a range of places (and this includes rather large bottles!) which is fabulous. I recommend looking in a range of supermarkets e.g tesco, asda, sainsburys as well as superdrug, poundland *guess what - in here they are a £1!* and also boots (where sometimes they can be as little as 65p! Which is great. Thirdly, the colour of this bottle really intrigued me because I love this luscious velvet/purple colour, and thought it would smell as good as it looks.
However, despite the pretty packaging I wasn't as keen on this bottle as I have been on others one. I found that when I used it in the shower and also in the bath the smell was a bit masculine/strong, not feminine and girly like the other products. The colour is still gorgeous though! However, I ended up finishing the bottle off in a bath - which I must say did produce a tremendous amount of bubbles and I did feel very pampered. But I wouldn't buy this particular one again, simply because the smell was just to masculine and overpowering.
Prices - As above, prices really do differ everywhere. Sometimes it can be £1.80 and above, so I avoid buying at this cost. I always grab the offers, so 60-70p and no more than a pound. (Again check poundland out because it really does have imperial leather products at fantastic value).
So as much as I liked the colour of this, the price and the brand, this time it isn't for me and the smell just isn't as good as it has been before!
I didn't recognise the picture of the orange juice as the bottle is more modern now. It has photos of oranges all over, with a blue box on the front with the description 'Tesco Orange Juice from concentrate Smooth' (the writing is blue, white and orange) so as you can imagine it is a rather attractive and bright carton! It has a white plastic screw top (which is easy to close and open, not too hard) and the best before just above that. Right at the bottom of the carton is the nutritional informational, which is really easy to read.
On the back of the carton is plenty of information for those who want to read it. This contains freezing guidelines, defrost info, ingredients (believe it or not it is orange juice from concentrate!!), more nutrition facts, vits/mins and storage.
I usually open this carton and drink it within 2 to 3 days as this is the best time in which to drink it. (However, I must admit my boyfriend can drink it in a day! Although this is the 1 litre bottle). As long as it is refrigerated it can be drank for up to 5 days. It is a very refreshing orange juice and I do really enjoy it. It is from concentrate (which means the juice is concentrated from where it is picked, then shipped over for packaging where it is added to water). However, I don't feel like this takes away any taste, still very orangey(!) smooth and good to drink.
One of the main reasons I buy this drink is often due to the offers. For the 1 litre bottles they are often on the offer which is 3 bottles for £3, which will easily last a week to 10 days for 2 people which is fantastic value. Alone, a 1 litre is £1.10 and a larger bottle is £1.80.
I do really enjoy the taste of tropicana but when this is over double the price, tesco is just far better value. There are no artificial flavours or colours either which is great.
Definitely recommended if you want a healthy, refreshing, smooth and inexpensive fruit drink.
Oh wow. Well I have read some quite disappointed reviews about this hair dryer but I think it is fantastic! I am used to quite a small hairdryer which has little power but using this one has just shown how far hair dryers have come! It really is great.
These are the features:
· Advanced ionic technology controls frizz for a high shine finish
· 2200W high heat
· Long life professional AC motor generates powerful airflow
· 3 heats
· 2 speed settings
· Cold shot
· Slim nozzle
· 3m salon length cord
· 5 year guarantee
The hair dryer is a lovely silver grey colour and looks really stylish. Yes it is heavy but this reflects in the power it has behind it. It is still possible to dry with one hand so it isn't that heavy! Another disadvantage with this is that it is noisy, and for those of you who are after a quite dryer I do not recommend this because it is loud! However, as with the heaviness of the product it is due to the power in it.
I have found the best thing about this dryer is that it does dry my hair in half the time it takes for a standard dryer and it also dries it leaving it feeling very conditioned. This hair dryer contains ionic technology which causes smoothness and shineness that is expected from a dryer in a salon. A stream of ions to surround and condition each strand of hair, neutralising static, smoothing the outer layer of the hair cuticle and controlling frizz which is exactly what happens. I really enjoy drying my hair now with such a professional product. It really does leave my hair so smooth, so I don't need to even use my straighteners that much and I have such curly hair it's fab!
I think roughly it costs between £40-60 but it is worth it. The nozzle is also included which gives an extra helping hand to straighten and smooth and it just works great. It has 3 heats, cold, warm and hot! I often blast it with the hot as then my hair dries in minutes, but if I'm curling dry it with warm. It also has a cold shot at the front which is easy to use. Speed wise, it has 2 settings. Fast and Super speed! Again I love to use the super speed option cause it dries so well.
I can't really demonstrate how much I love using this product, but as a summary:
Disadvantages: Loud and heavy. So not the easiest product to pack if you're going away! Also the fact it is loud wakes me up in a morning, so I like this!
Advantages: Smooths, softens due to ionic technology, feels professional, great price!
I love it, fantastic quality.
I enjoy using products from the Nivea range, as it's a brand I trust and I like testing out their new products as well! They often have very good offers on in Superdrug, Asda and boots so it is worth checking it out.
First of all, let me just let you know that I do have sensitive skin, so obviously it is important for me to choose a cream that will be nourishing as well as keep calm. The bottle comes in a lovely shape, nice and smooth with a curve and is a great light blue colour. It is around £3.50 or less if you find a good offer and that is for 250ml, which does last for a long time. Around 3/4 months if it used quite often.
The body lotion is very soft and does smell good! It is a white cream and intensively moisturises the skin so at first it can seem a bit like it sits on top of the skin, but it just needs rubbing in well. It claims to give softness and moisture for up to 24 hours, but I didn't find it was quite this long. But definitely a good few hours and if done before bedtime you do still feel nice and soft in the morning. It feels lovely on legs and feet too.
It includes shea butter which smells lovely and this is the ingredient which gives the cream the softness is has. It also includes vitamin E.
It's a lovely product!
This is a fabulous little product that I love to carry round in my handbag with me.
Product: The product comes slightly different from the one pictured above, as it looks more modern now. However, the liquid is still clear and the packaging is still the blue colour.
What does it do? The best thing about this product is what it does! It is the original hand sanitizer, and is proved to kill over 99% of germs. It stops bacteria spreading on hands in seconds, and dries out very quickly too, literally in a matter of seconds!
When to use it? I enjoy using it after I've been shopping if I go out for dinner, or if I eat after I've been on the bus. It's great for those times that you don't feel like toilet sinks aren't clean enough in places such as train stations etc! So it's a great little back up product if you can't wash in warm water with soap.
Anything else? It smells gorgeous! The comparison I can make it of cucumber, but basically it's fresh and does smell clean! It comes in 3 handy travel sizes and the one I have is a pump motion. The sizes are 50ml (the one I've got with a pump), 100ml (pictured) and 250ml. It certainly isn't expensive and because of what it does it's worth buying one or two to carry around. Or perhaps keep in the car. It is also suitable for everyone which is great. The 50ml pump bottle is around £1, 100ml £1.50 and 250ml around £2. But the £1 bottle is best for dispensing the gel in my opinion and easy to store in bags.
I would totally recommend this product.
Wow. What a product this is for when you have a case of the sniffles! I would recommend this for when somebody is coming down with a cold. My reasons for this would be because of the ease to use it, it doesn't require taking medicine and also because it really does (depending on the stage of the cold) help to clear a blocked nose very quickly!
It certainly doesn't remove a cold, but it really does help to clear the nose and make it more comfortable to breathe through the nose. Because it is quite strong too it helps to clear a stuffy head.
The product has slightly changed now from the image above, it looks more modern, but generally it follows the same pattern of colours and is easy to spot in the bathroom cupboard.
It helps to provide relief from catarrh and blocked sinuses, not just a stuffy nose! I would recommend using this product alongside others, because it will help to add to the relief. I wouldn't just use this on it's own if I really wanted to budge a cold.
The olbus inhalers can be used in children if aged 6 or above. They are quite strong and powerful, so I really wouldn't overuse this product. The essential oils in it really blow your socks off!
I recently purchased a twin pack of these from Superdrug for £2.99, and find having a twin pack is handy because I usually always lose one (so it's good to have a back up!).
As brilliant little inhaler that really does help to clear you up! Highly recommend. However, if the cold has lasted a while, or if there are other symptoms to the cold please talk to a pharmacist or doctor first!
I am always buying wipes from a range of brands, usually to use as make up wipes, sometimes just to keep handy in the car/train or taking to a picnic. They really are handy to have. Usually when I see some on a good offer and know I am in need of a packet I tend to buy them.
As they are part of the baby range at boots, I do definitely trust the product and the name behind it (I am a big fan of boots). These come in quite an attractive packet, with a handy plastic dispenser, which allows for ease to pull out a wipe. Plus, with many other dispensers like this usually the whole pack of wipes come out, but these are just one at a time which saves hassle and messing around with pushing them back in! The packet is now a light baby blue colour, and there are 72 wipes in a packet, which is really good value.
I would definitely recommend these to people for a multitude of purposes, because they are very soft and because they are for babies are more than suitable for sensitive skin. They are gently fragrant, but it isn't anything harsh to skin just a scent which would probably cover up the most often use for these baby wipes. (nappy changing!). They contain a baby lotion within the cloth, but I didn't really notice this, just found it helped to cleanse my skin and keep it feeling moisturised.
As a substitute for make up removers, these wipes do do the trick, but sometimes depending on how stubborn mascara is, they take a bit of scrubbing. However, coming in at 98p, this isn't something I would grumble at.
All in all, a great wipe. Safe for you and safe for babies!
I used a friends MAC eyeliner, after losing mine somewhere! I had a benefit one, which I thought was fabulous and still do think it is one of the best out there. After using this too I also find this brilliant, and have now just purchased one.
This product retails around £15, which I think even though expensive, is worth it if you know you will be getting a professional product like this one.
It comes in a lovely box, with silver stylish writing on - very attractive like similar products in this category (benefit, urban decay, ysl)
One of my favourite selling points of this eyeliner is that is contains almost no ingredients that cause irritation. It is so soft to apply and literally glides on. The difference between cheaper versions and these is down to quality, and it just oozes out of MAC. Very comfortable to apply onto eyes, and contains 1.45g, which lasts for plenty of months. It defined my eyes really well too and just glided on.
Mine lasted all night from 9pm until 3am, and I didn't feel like I had to reapply, and it didn't go streaky or come off (even in a hot club). So overall I am very impressed with this product.
I do definably recommend this product, although would advise people to shop around and look for it cheaper, because offers are out there. MAC eyeliners also come in loads of different styles, so make sure you get the right one that suits you. But overall, brilliant product!
Now I do usually think nail varnish remover is just nail varnish remover and they are all the same, but I used this one recently and was very impressed with it!
The bottle is very professional looking similar to all of the range. It has a lovely logo and this is another good quality product. This comes in two sizes one is118ml and the other one is 473ml. One of the reasons I loved this particular nail varnish remover so much is because it is non-smear and non-oily. Some of the cheaper versions make my nails feel quite weak and brittle, but because this one is quite expensive it is really safe and effective on all kinds of nails. Which is brilliant if you suffer with weak nails, and even sensitive skin. It also contains an anti-fungal agent which has been specially formulated.
I often wear dark nail varnish and I found that when I took it off with this it came off much easier, and left my nails feeling really clean and all traces of varnish were off! Great!
This is a very gentle formula, again another plus point! It doesn't require loads of scrubbing off at the nails either, just a gentle scrub and off comes the varnish! It also does not dry the cuticles out.
The smaller size is around £7, and the larger one about £12. So it is a little bit pricey!
However, despite this I do recommend this product!
I recently went on holiday, and decided to have a jessica manicure - but ended up giving myself one due to expenses! I have a couple of the jessica nail polishes anyway, so thought I would give it a good go. I went on holiday for a week, and painted my nails (hands and feet) the night before. I was in water everyday, and still a week later there was very very little signs of wear on my nails, and my feet looked fab!
Usually with most bail varnishes there really is just a couple of days where they do look lovely and professional, and then the chips begin. However, with this for me (it was a bright red nail varnish by Jessica) there was no chips at all.
For you out there that are searching for a nail varnish that stays on and looks good I would definitely recommend this brand. It is more expensive that ones that can be picked up in boots and superdrug but for me it has been worth it.
**This is a quick guide of how I applied the varnish!**
I have decided to just give a quick write up of the application of the varnish and how I prepped my nails, because that could have had something to do with it stopping on.
First off all I filed my nails so there were no sharp bits on the ends (I usually bite them off later, causing the varnish to come off!). I then used a Jessica base coat on my nails. After applying one coat of varnish, I applied a second once dried. When this coat had dried I then added a polish coat on and THEN added quick dry onto to my nails. (which needed it after all those coats!).
Somehow my nails really did last a week and I was really glad!
Disadvantages.. One disadvantage with this is it does have an overpowering scent, but I guess this is quite common.
The cost.. this is a disadvantage! Purely because it is rather expensive at around £10 a bottle. However, it is the only one that has lasted so well for me.
Advantages.. Lasted a long time! Looked professional! Comes in a huge range of colours and there are also base coats and polish coats too!
I usually go for an expensive eye liner, because I like my eyes to stand out - and I also appreciate having it last longer than an hour! I asked for advice behind the counter at debenhams because I didn't just want to dive on in there as most of them are quite pricey! She advised me to try benefit because it is a brand that sometimes goes overlooked, but the quality is great.
Luckily, the lady was correct - and I really am so impressed with this eyeliner and wanted to share my view on here. It really does last hours and hours, doesn't smudge (unless you use the little foam end to purposely smudge it if you are going for that look) and defines eyes spectacularly!! The pencil ending is soft and glides onto eyes really well.
This particular one is also waterproof - and it really is! I went to a water park, and it was still on unsmudged after going on the slides.
This came in a lovely little box, and the pencil itself is black. One end is the pencil, and the other is an foam applicator which is black too. This has a clear plastic top, and the other end is a black plastic top. It has silver writing on it, and has a very professional look to it.
This cost £14, and I feel lasts for quite a long time because it is good quality. I completely recommend this eye liner! It is worth the money. Fantastic.
I recently brought this product to give my feet a little love and care! Being at work all day and often being in sandals my feet do get quite rough and I do feel like they need looking after a bit more. I decided to get this particular one because I have used Scholl products before and trust them!
The product comes in a white squeezable tube with a white top and blue on the top of it. The cream itself is white and quite thick, very rich in texture. It doesn't require a lot to cover your foot, so don't go overboard with it or it will take an hour for it to rub in!
I was also taken in by this product because of the promises it makes - and lives up to! For example:
One of the most advanced moisturising creams around for feet
24hour long moisture
Gives 80% increase in hydration
was promised with this product, and it doesn't fail at all!
I use the product about every 2 days (if I remember) and I used it yesterday, and still my feet feel soft and hydrated today. The only thing is, it does take a while for the cream to rub in - so the best thing to do in my opinion is before bed so it has all night to settle in. It can at first feel a little rich for skin, but once it is rubbed in it feels fine. If my feet are still a little wet from the cream then I find I pick up everything on the floor/carpet - so putting socks on is a good option too!
The cost --> For a product that is as effective and good as this one I would expect it to cost about £7-8, but it only costs in the region of £3, depending on where it is purchased from. I would recommend this if you have dry feet and are looking to treat them better!
Now these may be one of the most expensive products on the feet isle (if there is such thing) but I think they are absolutely fantastic and 100% worth that bit more.
The product --> These come in quite a modern packaging which is green, and has a little clasp to keep it shut tight. It isn't a very large packet, which is great because it fits nicely inside my handbag! The plasters themselves are clear, which means they don't look messy on my feet! They come in a vary of sizes, which tend to fit certain parts of your feet, such as back of the ankle and toes! Which is great, because they fit better.
I really like these more than plasters because they actually work! Its fab how they do it, and Im not quite sure how, but they do! They stay in place for hours, fit well, move with the skin (instead of being stuck down and hurting when you walk) and allow for my dancing shoes/sandals to go back on! They also work instantly, there is no cream required. They help to repel germs, bacteria and water (I've been in water withthese on before and they STAY fixed on) so its brilliant. The most I've got out of mine is probably 2-3 days, and that is just as a protection for a blister I got from sandals. I could still have a shower, it wasn't grotty - it really helped to clear it up.
They work by using 'hydro cure' which provides optimum conditions for healing!
Cost --> If you can get them on offer - great! They vary from £3-£6, but they can be got in different sized packs too. A pack of 5 medium are around £4.50 from places like boots.
