I enjoy cooking, let me make that clear. I have no problem making rice. However, when I tasted this at a friend, I did not know it was a microwave packet!
The flavour was really pleasant, not at all artificial which I always find with microwave food.
The grains were all separated from each other, not sticking together in clumps, and perfectly cooked.
It takes only 2 minutes to cook a packet in the microwave, after tearing open the top of the packet, which is quite easy to do. Each packet has one very large serving, which can easily feed two persons as a side dish.
There are several flavours, ranging from plain white basmati which is perfect with a curry to a really spicy mexican with beans and vegetables. My family and I have not been disappointed with any of them. The quality is consistent, and from experience, Uncle Ben's is a good quality brand.
The nutritional content is very clearly labelled, which is quite helpful.
They first retailed at £1.00 each, but now can commonly be found on offer at £4.00 for three at the larger supermarkets.
A very elegant looking car is how my neighbour described it.
With 3 doors, back seats which fold flat, and a special holder for skis, this is quite versatile. The seats are soft leather, and holds 4 persons only. The seats have 3 memorised presets located on the door panel, so if there are different people who drive the car, one only has to select the designated preset to position the seats exactly where you like it. This is available on both front seats.
The digitised panel not only shows the usual petrol, oil and mileage, but is able to pinpoint and display some malfunctions. You can also check the amount of fuel left in your tank, and how much further it will take you.
The reaction time is super quick, with the V8 engine and the 16 valves. I it just love the thrill of the roar when starting it up! I expected it to be quite thirsty, but honestly, with motorway driving it does quite well, compared to the Audi I had before.
It is a very smooth ride, and easily creeps up to the speed limit, so one has to be careful. It also has a cruise control, which I can honestly say I have never used, as I prefer to be in control.
Very wide boot opening is another plus.
A very elegant, comfortable car in my opinion.
This is packaged simply and elegantly, and such a unique uplifting, scent. It is quite soft, and not at all overpowering. It is definately one of my favourite fragrances. As the fragrance is clear,I find it does not stain or mark any of my white summer clothes like some others. The top fits the bottle quite well, and I have never had it spilt in my bag, which is a bonus. The bottle itself is beautiful. The fragrance lasts when you put it on, so the bottle goes a long, long way.
Although it is a floral scent, it is not sickly sweet as some others are. It is a very feminine, very delicate scent, and would suit a summers day as well as a sophisticated evening, as it is quite versatile. I think it would suit a wide age range, from a late teenager, to - hey, my mother!
The Apple Iphone 3GS is the most useful gadget I own. With the seeming endless amounts of applications, it has certainly helped me to streamline the contents of my handbag. With the calender app, I no longer need my filofax. I now access my Natwest accounts in seconds. I can speak to folks in the US via Skype without being in front of my computer. The calculator is easy to use, as well as the spendometer which helps me keep track of- my spending. The tubemap and Tom-Tom apps also lighten my load.
The standard camera is ok in ideal light conditions, but you may wish to download one of the paid apps to get really good quality photos in poor light. The ipod and solitaire keep me occupied when waiting for long periods. I cannot extol the virtues of the IPhone, I was not a tecchie pperson, but this has converted me. My very best birthday present. Ever.
