Great Lenses, have used them for 3 years with no problems

I have used these lenses for about 3 years now and they are brilliant! I originally had them when they were called O2 Optix and they were recommended to me by my optician (Specsavers) because at the time I worked in a pub and they were better for wearing for long periods because of the increased breath ability for the eye and also, due to their increased water content they didn't dry out as much! I haven't needed to change since and although I don't work in pubs anymore I kept them as they are so good. I have been told they are licensed for 2 or maybe 3 days continuous wear but I'm not sure if this is true and wouldn't recommend it but if it is the case it is useful for certain situations! Having said that, on the couple of occasions I have done so, they were a bit dry and misty when first waking up.

The only thing that I have changed now is that I don't order from specsavers as it is cheaper to buy from Vision Direct and I then get my solutions from wherever is cheapest on the net!

      Highly recommended and very comfortable.

If you have the chance to get this phone, do, I did and don't regret it at all!

I love this phone. I've had it for 4 months now and I would recommend it to everyone. Starting with the look, it's sleek, good looking and simple. It has a feeling of good quality, even down to the fact that the battery cover on the rear is a proper metal cover rather than the often flimsy and tacky plastic. The phone is a little heavier than you would expect but this actually adds to the overall quality feel of the phone.

Functions wise, all the usual stuff is here, the camera is good (although I have to confess to never really using it) and the video function is useful. The radio is good quality and the car/radio receiver kit is of a good sound quality and comfortable to use, only downside being the microphone/volume control unit is a bit on the big side! The mp3 player is useful, but again I don't use it often as I have an ipod.

Mine (on the 3 network) came with lots of games but they are all short trial versions which you then have to purchase the full game if you want to keep playing. It also has a calendar, reminder/to do list (which I use all the time and are great), notes, alarm clock, calculator and stop watch/countdown timer.

The function that I really love about the phone is the maps section, basically it comes ready loaded with UK maps and you can then go to the Nokia website and download other continents for free! You can also get directions and plan routes and if you buy a GPS attachment can turn it into a 'by foot' or 'by car' sat-nav!

The only downsides I can mention are the finish of the phone body is very sleek and attracts grease, finger marks etc very easily. The other thing to mention is that battery life doesn't quite appear to live up to Nokia's claims and mine didn't come with the software needed to connect it to the computer, I contacted Nokia who told me I just needed to download Nokia Suite which I did and it worked perfectly!

Overall I would definitely recommend this phone; it's a lovely looking item, good size and packed with useful functions and some interesting extras!

I bought one almost 2 years ago and it's still going strong - Recommended

I should start by saying that this camera is really well made. It has a feel of quality about it, in the finish, buttons and weighting. The lense is good quality and produces lovely pictures. The camera is easy to use and has many functions. Uploading photos is easy (we don't even need to use the supplied CD software) and the charging cradle keeps the camera in a stable position, making it harder to knock it off the desk, unlike those that you just plug a cable straight in. The zoom is perfectly adequate for the type of photos you would expect to take although once you get into the digital zoom you will obviously loose a lot of quality.

Two things of note on the downside, firstly the Anti-shake DSP is not, in my opinion, the best but it does the job most of the time. Secondly is the rather poor quality and slightly over complicated menu, there are a lot of functions on the camera, mainly various different picture modes, but navigating the menu could have been easier.

The many different picture modes can be useful although it may be debatable as too how much difference you will find between some of them but some do improve picture quality in certain situations and it is fun trying them out!

In conclusion, I am a fan of the Casio Exilim's and would recommend this specific camera to anyone who wants a good camera to snap away with on holiday. There are plenty of functions and the photo quality is good. I think that the positives out way the negatives but one thing to bear in mind is that there are probably newer (although not necessarily better) models on the market as we have owned this for almost 2 years!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Good for the price but beware some of the poorer quality elements of the camera

I purchased this camera direct from Kodak from their 're-furbished' section as it was only about £60, this I certainly recommend to anyone as the camera has been returned and had a full check and new warranty applied by Kodak, in most instances the camera was returned for nothing more than it had been opened and then returned to the shop (for example Currys), as they can't resell it they return it to Kodak!!!! As for the camera itself it is good for a starter camera but nothing more. It is packed with various functions, a pretty good quality lense (remember the price!!!!) and is also very compact/lightweight for a superzoom along with the ease of transferring the photos to your computer.

On the down side though, I feel the screen is way to small and in bright light it is impossible to view your photos or to use it to frame up what you want to take! The viewfinder does work but this is very small and dingy making it fairly hard to make out what you are looking at! The other problem I find with mine is that it processes the photos slowly, say 3-4 seconds before you can take another photo!

All in all I would say that for the price the camera is a good buy, it is useful for longish range shots due to the optical zoom of the lense and the photo quality is pretty good, the negatives are out weighed by the price so if you want to get some good holiday photos or start out as an amateur then at this price you can't go far wrong!
