I'm pretty selective when it comes to films, but I've got to say that Taken was excellent.
I've watched it twice now, and have recommended it to friends and family. The film has a moral story behind it too which is great.
The Story (Rated 18)
I don't want to tell you everything that happens, so briefly:
A teenage girl wants to go on holiday with friends, but lies to her father and says she is going with her friend's cousins who are a lot older. The dad disagrees (he is a spy and knows the dangers of this world) but as the parents are divorced he has no power to make her stay back - the mother is far too leniant and allows her daughter to do as she pleases. While the girl is on holiday she is kidnapped..and only her Dad can help.
This story is amazing - a real eye opener with a twist.
I'll leave you to watch the film - hope you enjoyed this review!
My first bank account was with Nationwide - my mum took me to open an account when I was about 13 years old. I've been with Nationwide and Natwest ever since.
I got married recently so have really started thinking deeply about my savings for my future. I did quite a bit of research online, comparing current accounts from the major banks, and found that Halifax had a good deal going on!
They promise to pay £50 into your account if you transfer your wages into their account - I can confirm that I have received the £50 payment (only took a couple of days which is good). I am also receiving £5/month - just for getting my wages paid into my Halifax account! (minimum of £1000/month).
This really is a great deal. Another fantastic offer I cam across with Halifax is their ISA account - they're offering 3% interest on your savings, which is higher than the other banks! No catch either - unlimited withdrawals, etc.
I'm a massive fan of chocolate (which female isn't??) and after years of thought I came to the conclusion that Crunchie is my fave (followed by Maltesers). I just love the honeycomb, the thick chocolate, etc.
Anyway, I was doing my grocery shopping at Sainsbury's the other day during my lunch break and came across Crunchie Rocks - the first time I'd seen them, and guess what, they were on offer for £1!
Now, at first sight, the pack looked quite small and I didn't think there was much inside. I bought 2 packs to give it a go as I knew one wouldn't be enough (Crunchie fan that I am).
These Crunchie Rocks are too good. The pack says "share that Friday feeling" but honestly, these are WAY too good to share (and I'm generally not a greedy person). The honeycomb pieces are scattered in the clusters of thick milk chocolate, with cornflake pieces.
Halfway through the pack
I just keep eating and eating. I was surprised at how many rocks were in the pack - more than I initially thought there would be, which is brilliant!
I went back the next day and bought 10 more packs!!!
Crunchie fans and non-Crunchie fans, a piece of advice - TRY THESE OUT!
They are too good to miss out on!
I hope you enjoyed reading this and that my review helped =)
I am a total failure when it comes to applying liquid eyeliner - my younger sisters always tease me and tell me I never get it right, so they always end up putting on my eyeliner for me on special occassions.
I was in Boots one day (you can also purchase this from other stores such as Superdrug, or search for it online - even eBay have them!) and came across this sleek bottle. I've used Rimmel products in the past and have never been disappointed, so thought I'd give it a try, hoping I'd get it right and prove my sisters wrong.
I had a look at the tester for this and the first thing I noticed was how thin the brush is. This is excellent as it makes it so easy to apply the eyeliner without making a mess, and without going wrong! You can use the brush as if it's a pencil or a paintbrush, slowly gliding the ink onto your eyelids. If you want to make the line thicker you can do so.
I bought this a few months ago for arounf £5.29 - worth a buy, particularly if you have a Boots or Superdrug loyalty card - that way you can pick up points at the same time!
Rating this 4 stars and not 5 as the eyeliner tends to wear off after a few hours.
Thanks for reading - hope my review helped! =)
Thankfully my lashes are naturally quite thick and long, so the main reason I wear mascara is for the colour - I love my lashes looking black!
I bought this mascara from Boots (you can buy it from several other places including Superdrug, Asda, online companies, etc) as my friend had recommended it.
I didn't expect too much from it as I was only going for the jet black colour, however, I have got to tell you that I found this mascara to work wonders. I've tried many other mascaras - I'm addicted to mascaras and purchase one every month - and although this isn't as pricey compared to other excellent mascaras such as YSL, I've got to say that it is brilliant.
The brush is just right - not too small, and not too big to poke your eyes out!
The mascara gave my lashes even more volume and length and many of my work colleagues commented on how pretty my eyelashes were looking :)
It will really give your lashes colour and definition - without that horrible cloggy look.
Try it for yourself - I assure you, you have nothing to lose.
