There are two (as far as i know, even though there maybe more) Fish Markets in Egypt, one in Cairo and one in Alexandria, and both are excellent. Firstly the one in Alexandria, it is an upset restaurant overlooking the sea and Kite Bay castle, such as beautiful surrounding and especially at sunset. Firsly the starters arrive which consists of freshly baked hot flat bread, and large variety of dip and salad. The extensive menu takes a while to form a decision however i ordered a freshly grilled snapper and a starter of fish soup of which was definately big enough for at least two people and would have most definately been enough for my starter and main. I did not have a desert as i was too full but my mother in law had some ice cream which looked lovely. Both the service and food were excellent and the price was also not too bad! would deinatley come back! The restaurant in Cairo is definatly of the same service standard however the surroundings are obviously not so beautiful and the restauant is slightly more cramped but i would have to go as far as saying the food is slightly better! Me and my partner had a very large selection of food including a few fish including something called a 'Diane', which was excellent and some seafood. They also provide you with many different soaps and mouthwashes to clean your fishy selff up!
When this film was first released i was totally unsure and to be perfectly honest i did not have any motivation to see it. Even though all my friends told me i had to see it it did not appeal. My other half told me it was one of the best films he had ever seen and after it winning lots of awards and of course being a British film with such popularity he put it on and made me watch it.
At first i found it slightly slow and i think overall it was quite a long film, however it is one of those films that after it has finished it is all you can think about.
The film is basically about a poor muslim Indian who has struggled his entire life to make enough money for survival for himself and his mother until she is murdered by racist attack in front of his own eyes as a young boy, leaving him on his own with his brother. That is until he meets his childhood sweetheart to be and makes it his mission to protect and look after her under all circumstances of which some very horrific tales are unvealed. His story is, however, not that simple as it replayed as flashbacks into how he wins the Indian version of "who wants to be a millionaire" showing how his life journey has shown him the answers to the questions. There is also a third quite sad story of how he is under arrest for suspision of cheating as the authorities beleive as he is just a slumdog he could not possibly be clever.
The story is very well put together and leaves a very long lasting impression. Its upseting to say the least but its also quite happy. It is definately emotional and quite cruel but definately worth a watch.
I started using this product approximately 6 years ago, it all started when my friend who has a darker skin tone than mine bought the wrong shade by mistake, as she had opened it and already applied the powder to the sponge, gave it to me and told me to try it...so i did.
Well the first thing i noticed about it, strangely enough was the smell. The product smells amazing. Not only that it is easy to apply, blends in reallly well and is excellent for covering blemishes. Even though it is a pressed powder when applied it feels light and almost like a loose powder.
The product comes in 7 different shades, including Rose, Sable, Vanille, Dore, Hale, Sienne and Rose Plaisir. The product also contains moisturing agents to keep skin hydrated which is an extra bonus, and is also oil free.
I think it lasts a real long time, therefore saves money as you do not need to keep buying it. The approx cost is £8.00 from Boots, but it is worth it.
As i have previously mentioned i am reasonably prone to spots especially around the chin area, and i am also very excited to try new products. I started using the witch stick about 3 years ago and now i wouldnt be without one. I buy a new one as soon as the old one is running out. Its easy to apply, smells nice and works well. The other good thing about it is that you can apply it as often as needed, not like some others which you can only apply four times a day.
It is best applied when blemishes just start to appear as it works more effectively. The witch stick works best on oily/combination skin, but it is suitable for all skin types. It works by helping to break down excess oils and fighting bacteria which cause spots.
I have tried a lot of products and i would say this is one of the best, however i always use it with something else as it does not really work on mature spots.
I am occasionally prone to a spot or two, but i am also prone to trying out all treatment gels available. I would say that this is one of the best. It is said by Clean and Clear to visibly reduce redness and spot size overnight. The formula is a spot fighting ingredient to unblock pores and by removing trapped dirt and dead skin. And honestly i would have to agree with them. it does work.
The size of the product is normally sold in 15ml bottles and is normally sold approximately between £4-£5 dependent on shop. It is sold in most normal retail shops such as Boots or Lloyds. The product bears the normal purple and white Clean & Clear sign and is in a purple and white bottle. The product is like a clear gel and is applied easily and does not show.
I think its a really good product and works well. I definately think it is worth a try.
Hamamelis Virginiana, Alcohol Denat, Alchohol, Aqua, Salicylic Acid, Hydroxythylcellucose, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cinnamommum Zeylanicum, Cedrus Atlantica, Portulaca Oleracea, Allantion, Bisabolol, Hexylene Glycol, Sarcosine, Sodium Citrate, Parfum.
I know most of the reviews of this film are that it is disappointing but in my opinion that description is quite harsh.
The main actor/actresses involve Gabriel Macht, Samuel L Jackson, Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson.
The main plot is rookie cop Denny Colt returns from the dead as the detective known only as the Spirit to fight crime!!! After he finds his nemesis, the Octopus, The Spirits ex lover Sand Saref discovers two chests She tries to flee with both chests, but the Octopus shoots at her, snapping the line connecting the two chests together. After a fight with the Spirit, Octopus takes the remaining chest left behind and escapes with one of his thugs. The Octopus wants the mystical Blood of Heracles in order to become immortal and Sand Saref wants the treasure of the Argonauts, but both people end up with the wrong chest. The spirit is fighting the world to put it to right, but there is also a love story, or two, involved.
Yes it is very scientific and unreal, however this is expected as it originates from a comic book! Similar to sin city!
In my honest opinion it is not bad...its interesting to watch but can in some places be a bit silly.
A new style for Kayne and i think it worked out well. As the title implies the album features the Roland TR - 808 drum machine, and the vocals rely on the voice audio processor technology of auto-tune.
there are some other famous artists featured on the album such as Lil' Wayne, Young Jeezy, Kid Cudi and Mr Hudson.
The most famous singles from the album include Love Lockdown, the first single to be released and Heartless (my personal favourite). The whole track list is as follows:
1 Say You Will
2 Welcome To Heartbreak featuring Kid Cudi
4 Amazing featuring Young Jeezy
5 Love Lockdown
6 Paranoid featuring Mr. Hudson
8 Street Lights
9 Bad News
10 See You In My Nightmares featuring Lil Wayne
11 Coldest Winter
In my opinion this is the best album produced by Kayne West, as it does slide away, however not dissappeared, from the usual rapping style of Kayne's previous.
Emotional nakedness is the main bloodline of the album, and according to Kayne is mostly about the breakup with one specific women. However one song 'coldest winter' was reserved for the memory of Kayne's mother.
I stayed at this Hotel in December 2008 with my boyfriend, we got a good rate i think we paid about £45 excluding breakfast for a saturday night.
The external appearance of the hotel is nice and is an oldish style building, and the location is excellent as it is on New Street its a few minutes walk from the main shopping centre the Bullring, and Victoria Square. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to Broad Street the major clubbing area of Birmingham, and about the 5 - 10 minutes to get to the Arcadian Centre and China Town.
The lobby is nice, the staff did seem like they just wanted to check you in and get rid of you as soon as possible but they were not rude, just not very pleasant. At check out stage we asked to leave our bags and they said no as the luggage room was full, which i think was very unhelpful. The room we had was quite small, and looked more like a house than a hotel, with the decor. It was quite floral and well...'homely'. The bed was not very comfortable to be honest and i did not get a very good nights sleep.
The bathroom was nice, probably the best part of the room, there was a bath, shower, toilet and sink and was quite big and was nice and clean.
I did not actually eat at the hotel so unfortunately i cannot comment on the food or beverage.
In my honest opinion, this is not the best hotel i have stayed in and i probably wouldnt stay here again as there are much better hotels in Birmingham for not much more.
All flavours of walkers crisps, in my opinion are great, however i feel that cheese and onion flavour are the best of them all.
Walkers crisps first started in 1945 when a Butcher from Leicester, called Henry Walker tried to increase his revenue when meat was starting to go scarce. they started as cooked slices of potato, and it was in 1954 the first flavour, cheese and onion, was born. Walkers became walkers in 1980 and is now the market leader.
A standard 25g bag of walkers contains 131 calories, 8.3g of fat and 0.3g of salt, whereas the 'big eat' is approximately 34.5g and contains 181 calories, 11.4g of fat and 0.4g of salt. Walkers have now reduced saturated fat by 70% and are now made with sunseed oil to make them that little bit healthier by making it naturally lower in saturates. Walkers also make the crisps from 100% british potatoes.
I love these crisps, perfect with a sandwich or as a snack! the only recommendation i have is to take a chewing gum if your planning on eating them at work or before a date!
Freddo the Frog, is a frog shaped solid cadburys chocolate bar. They are slightly smaller, approx 7cm in height, than the other chocolates produced by Cadburys therefore perfect for a midday snack, a treat, a sugar burst or for a child.
Cadburys originally launched the Freddo in 1973 and withdrew it in 1979, however they decided to realunch the product in 1994. I am, to be honest, happy that they did. I remember when i was younger at my dance class buying a freddo from the tuck shop every week.
Per frog the nutrition is as follows:
Energy 105 kcal, Protein 1.5g, Carbohydrate 11.3g, Fat 5.9g.
The ingredients are again as follow:
Milk, Sugar, Cocoa mass, Cocoa butter, Vegetable fat, Emulsifiers (E442, E476), Flavourings, and Cadburys do state that the frog may contain traces of nuts, wheat and soya so be careful any of you with allergies.
Australia also have a similar product called Caramello Koala, and is stereotypically a Koala Bear rather than a frog.
Cadburys first launched the flake in 1920...its main unique selling point is its texture of the crumble and flakiest chocolate bar. It was also made famous for the adverts, featuring the 'Flake girl' featuring ladies relaxing and enjoying a flake. These are quite iconic and very famous and are available on youtube.
The average standard flake, 32g bar contains 170 Kcal, with a total fat of 9.9g.
However there is not just one type of flake there is a whole range to try from:
Flake Noir - a dark chocolate flake bar, snow flake - a white chocolate flake bar dipped into milk chocolate. Flake Dipped - milk chocolate flake dipped into milk chocolate, and flake Praline - milk chocolate flake with praline
The whole range is as tasty as the original, however my personal favourites are the original, snowflake and praline, in that order.
Flakes are perfect for everyone, except they can be a bit messy...even for me let alone young children.
I assume pretty much everyone has eaten a flake...my advice keep enjoying them.
Even though i live in Birmingham, and work in Birmingham city centre, people will assume i shop at the Bullring or the Mailbox, however this is not always the case. I find the Fort to be more relaxed, less busy and with free car parking.
The Fort has approximatley 33 stores including BHS, Boots, River Island, Topshop/Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, WHSmiths, HMV, JD, Mothercare, Birthdays, New Look, Debenhams and Marks and Spencers. Therefore offering a variety of shops to suit all needs.
As well as this it has a newly opened food court which contains Nandos, Starbucks and Burger King. There is also a Scallywags which is an indoor play area for Children and Toddlers.
The main highlights have to be shopping without crowds, more times than not meaning you can normally find what your looking for and in your right size, and free parking. With the mix of shops and places to eat and drink it can be a full days shopping, a meeting place for lunch or a coffee, or a quick nip to the shops for something your desperate for.
there is one small problem that it is hard to reach, there is one bus, the 66 which goes from Birmingham City Centre and stops directly outside.
Click on the map to download a printable version...
The location of the Fort, by car, is off the M6 between Junctions 5 and 6 and on the Heartlands Spine Road
BEN AND JERRYS! Sorry the name needs to emphasised! Ben and Jerrys make the best ice cream in the world. and i have been to a lot of places and eaten a lot of ice cream!
Phish food was one of the first types of Ben and Jerrys i ate and it got me hooked! Its basic ingredients combine chocolate Ice Cream with Gooey Marshmallow, a Caramel Swirl & Fudge Fish. Its very chocolately and quite rich so not really suitable for anyone that likes lighter flavours.
More in depth for anyone that needs to watch for any specific ingredient, here you go: Cream, Water, Corn Syrup, Liquid Sugar, Skim Milk, Sugar, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Coconut Oil, Butter, Sweetened Condensed Skim Milk, Cocoa, Egg Whites, Natural Flavors, Vanilla Extract, Guar Gum, Egg Yolks, Salt, Pectin, Milkfat, Carrageenan, Soya Lecithin, Baking Soda.
And also Ben and Jerrys do state that the fish in the ice cream are made on equipment where nuts are also produced so be careful any one with a nut allergy.
I can recommend Ben and Jerrys, and i have to a lot of my friends globally who are now also in as much love as i am! There is a special way of eating it also...put it on a warm cookie, muffin, waffle or pancake and eat or adore!
Calvin Klein purfumes in my opinion have one of the longest lasting smells. Even after a whole 8 hours at work someone will still comment on my scent. Especially this one, Euphoria is strong but not too strong that you cant go near me for a few hours!
Its perfect for both day and evening wear as its slightly sweet for the daytime but it also has a seductive side and perfect for accompaning an evening gown.
the fragrance includes exotic fruits and seductive florals, for a rich, creamy even scent. Its smell includes pomegranate, Persimmon, Green Notes, Black Orchid, Lotus Blossom, Champacca Flower, Liquid Amber, Mahogany Wood, Black Violet, Cream Accord.
Calvin Klein believe that Euphoria 'speaks to the woman who has the urge to break free from everyday life - to provocatively be part of an exciting world filled with pleasure, surprise, and temptation.'
I cant say when i wear it i become a bond girl, however it definately makes you feel confident that you know your scent will be sweet all day long, plus it has come to my attention that men love it!!!
My boyfriend went on and on about watching this movie, however he could not explain to me too well what it was about. I kept putting it off but eventually he talked me into it.
Its directed by D.J.Caruso, Shia LaBeouf plays Jerry with Michelle Monaghan playing Rachel. Not anyone i have really ever heard of personally. however they acted really good and i was pleasently surprised.
the basic story line is as follows: Jerry and Rachel are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move.
I wont obviously tell you how it ends etc as that would just spoil the whole film. It is a very action packed film with some nice and some sad bits. Its very much worth a watch. If you like enemy of the state that kind of film then i recommend this.
