Just heard from my son in Arizona. His wife was walking their dog close to the edge of the desert where some people dump large household items like old beds and electrical goods. She heard a little noise and saw a plastic bag. It contained 3 week old kittens, 2 girls and a boy,one with a further bag tied round its neck. They would have died within the hour in the extreme heat. What are some people like to do this cruel thing to innocent creatures?
Under the guidance of my daughter, a vet, they are hand rearing them, and they are doing fine. If anyone lives near Tucson and would like a kitten I am sure I can let him know,as I doubt he can keep them all through maturity.
I am no longer writing "nominated" on the comments section of reviews as I have mixed feelings about this,but will always nominate those I feel justify it without fail.
October and November are my least favourite months of the year,soggy leaves,days without a peak of sun, and a rather damp little Shih Tzu every time we go for walks!Added to this she is terrified of fireworks so this is an added upset for her and me! I'm much more a spring and summer person-yellow is my favourite colour so maybe that's why!
Suffered with ME for 14 years now following a polio related virus I caught in 1996. Have met some wonderful like minded souls and fellow sufferers on Dooyoo, and value these friendships more than words can say.

I'm a trained nurse and a mum to 4 now mostly grown up children. My passions are animals and saving the planet, and one of my daughters has just qualified as a vet, the other is doing a degree in Sustainable Development. One of my sons has married an American girl and lives in Arizona so hope to write about travelling there soon. I have lots of helpful tips to pass on about medical and animal care issues so hope to be of help there. I have a love of Persian cats and Shih Tzu dogs and a long history of looking after both! I also love to get a bargain so have lots to report about shopping and saving money. I also love wild and remote places so hope to talk about some of them. Have loved reading all your reviews and looking to the future to many happy years on here.
