A Vasco digipass is a device that generates a random security key number. This number is then used as part of your password to allow you to make various connections. We use it to access our work VPN network from external places such as our home broad band or wireless access points located across the country. I am responsible for maintaining the setup of new users so I am fairly familiar with the software used to set them up.
The setup isn't that difficult, you create a new user within the software, apply the Vasco tag to their profile then set a pin number (optional). The pin number is then used in conjunction with the vasco tag number to create a safe, secure network connection.
I'm not quite sure how this tag generates random numbers but everytime you press the tag it will change the number every few minutes.
Some of the issues I encounter working with these things are users not entering their password in the right format, pressing the Vasco tag and taking ages to enter their login details by which time the Vasco number has expired and also losing their Vasco tags because they are so small.
This tag probably wont mean much to anyone unless you actually use one in your work place. I would reccomend this setup to any business looking to establish secure connectivity from external sources. It basically allows a secure connection to the business IT infrastructure / Intranet.
I wish I knew more about the background of these devices but hopefully my brief review gives you a rough idea of what they do and what they are used for.
To look at this stuff people think such things as eww green bogies or mashed cabbage and brussells. Its not far from the truth it doesn't look that appetizing. It looks like a darkie green thick broth with lumps in it.
Being a fan of Innocent smoothies and trusting their brand completely I decided to take the plunge and give this stuff a go... I have never looked back since and this has become my favourate flavour :). It feels like you can taste every single piece of fruit in there if you focus enough, you have the slimey kiwi taste which seems to make up the main body of the drink, followed by the taste of apples and then a really nice zangy taste from the lime. It tastes delicious and it counts towards your 5 a day!!!
I think the reason the drink doesn't look particulary tasty is because its all stuff thats good for you and Innocent claim there are no addittives, its just pure mashed up fruit.
My only grobble with this drink is that you only get a couple of mouthfulls. I'm quite a big lad so when I'm thirsty It takes a fair bit of liquid for me to quench my thirst. Smoothies don't always cut the mustard there but you can drink a smoothie knowing full well that you are in good hands. They are very good for you and taste refreshing for the short time they last.
The labelling is also very entertaining to read and contains lots of little gags and tiny things to make you chuckle.
Overall the drink tastes great but looks a bit icky. I can always drink an innocent smoothie knowing I'm in good hands. Its one of the very few brands I fully trust.
This is such a simple addictive game. The theme is birds and pigs whereby you control the birds and the pigs are the enemy. Every level consists of a stationary catapult and a multitude of different birds which do different things. The idea of the game is to shoot the birds from the catapult at the pigs to destroy them. The pigs have towers and such built round them to make it more fun and you can smash your birds into the towers to knock them down and to crush the pigs.
On each level you get a rating of 1 - 3 star. I aim to try and get 3 star on all the levels. Depending on how many points you get affects which star rating you get. Some levels get so frustrating when trying to get 3 stars and it can be such a minor thing that determines and extra few points and to get the all important 3 star.
Some of the differnt birds you get are as follows:
Red Bird - This is just a standard bird used for firing into wood towers to knock them over or getting a direct hit on a pig.
Blue Birds - When you fire these you can click on them again and they split up into 3 smaller birds. These are effectice at destroying ice blocks / towers
Yellow Birds - When you click on these birds they have a whoosing sort of ability and can power through certain material blocks like wood.
Black Birds - These overweight black birds are used to destroy concrete blocks and explode once they land causing area of affect damage.
I downloaded this game on my HTC desire for free from the marketplace and it runs fine with no lagging or slowness.
Overall its a highly addictive fun game and really simple.
I use one of these phones for work purposes and it is absolutley brilliant bar a few annoying feats. The operation of the phone is fantastic, it can literally be customized how ever you want. The main screen on the phone is basically used as a desktop on a PC... you can create folders and add what ever apps or widgets you like to it.
The phone looks quite professional in my eyes. It can be quite addictive browsing through the market place purchasing new apps or downloading free ones. This phone has the android operating system so there are tons of free apps and games to download. I recently just got Angry Birds and I haven't been able to keep off it!
The phone flawlessly interfaces with email and facebook. It needs a constant internet connection to refresh all the phones features. I got unlimited Internet free with my £30 18 month contract. My contract also includes 600 minutes and unlimited texts on the T Mobile network.
The camera quality isn't overly great but its good enough for what I use it for. The phone also came with a 4GB SD card :).
The thing that bugs me about this phone is how diabolical the charger is.. Its literally about 30 centimeters long and you have to basically build the plug your self. The plug is also a very weird shap and its not really ideal to leave on a bedside table or anything due to the shortness of the cable. I would really like to invest in a longer charger for this phone. The phone battery also doesn't seem to hold charge for that long at all. If I constantly play a game on the phone with full battery it probably needs charging again with 3 - 4 hours. It seems like I will be charging this thing on a nightly basis.. it would be nicer if it had a more comfortable charger to use.
Other than battery and charging issues this is a fantastic gadget like phone. There is so much you can do and I love the customisation of it all!
I am an avid Halo fan and while I dont quite understand the story line or always play through the single player modes the multiplayer is definitley unparalleled in its excellence compared to other shooting games on the market. It really is special and so much fun! To those who dont know, Halo is a first person shooter game. It game be played offline, playing through a campaign mode or online where you can battle with people over the world or even play through the campaign together.
Halo 3 introduces new maps, new weapons and the ability to record you games and make your own video clip footage of games you have played. This is such a great feature as usually when finished playing Halo you always speak about funny things that happened during the game. You can now capture those moments and watch them over and over with friends online :).
The Halo series is based around the Master Chief character who has to battle against an alien species. My favourite part of Halo is the online mode. You can play up to 16 players (although it lags to much). There are loads of different game types... double team, team deathmatch, deathmatch, capture the flag just to name a few.
Halo just seems such a solid game, the graphics are good and the gameplay is amazing. The Halo universe is packed full of great weapons such as rocket launchers, swords, plasma grenades that stick to opponents. It also has a full range of ground based & flying vehicles to use in your arsenal. If you have an X BOX then Halo is a total classic and must be one to add to your collection.
I remember the first time I tried this stuff, It was when I was doing a roofing job with my uncle, we popped to the local bakers and he asked for a Coffee with Coffee Mate and I was like "whats that??". He told me it was an alternative to milk and makes your coffee milky white and creamy. On this note I decided to try it and ever since I've been enjoying coffee mate on and off for years.
To describe Coffee Mate is easy... its basically a whitey / yellow sort of powder. It advises you on the packaging to use 2 tea spoons of Coffee Mate per cup. I normally use 2 and a bit just for the extra creamyness :). Thats as simple as it gets... just add coffee, coffee mate, boiling water and voila you have a smooth, creamy, tasty coffee.
It comes packaged in a variety of tubs and sizes. We normally buy a medium sized tub at Asda for around £3 which can last us around a month depending on how often we use it.
Coffee Mate does taste really good and once you start using it you may even find it hard to go back to milk as it does make the coffee taste so much more smoother and creamier. It wasn't until recently that me and my girlfriend discovered the nutrition label on Coffee Mate and we was absolutley aghast by how much sugar and fat is in it. It really doesn't seem like its good for your body.
On the above note we tried the Lite version of Coffee Mate which contains nearly half as much bad stuff (but still high levels). The Lite version really doesn't taste the same and the coffee doesn't produce the same nice, smooth, creamy effect as the original. The Lite version also seems to leave scaley bits in the coffee.
I'm not sure why they called it Coffee Mate... its not much of a mate with all that damaging nutrional info!! Unless they mean its a mate of the coffee as they go so well together. I'd consider Coffee Mate as more of a part time friend. It does offer a really nice tasting coffee.
Being a raving coffee addict I have tried many different types of coffee and to me Nescafe Gold Blend is one of my everyday favourites for use at home. It's a really nice smooth tasting coffee that doesn't taste overly bitter or strong. I do like a fairly strong coffee so I normally have about 1 and a half tea spoons of coffee in my drink. The secret to a decent smooth coffee is also not to over milk it otherwise in my opinion it doesn't taste that great. I normally put the coffee in first, followed by the hot water. I then leave it for a few minutes to dissolve, stir it then apply the milk and finish it off with more stirring.
The packaging for this product is also pretty solid and I have no problems with it. It has a layer of foil under the lid to keep the fresness in which needs penentrating before use. This blend of coffee is also fairly priced. If you shop around, some shops will have it on offer but for a normal sized jar you can expect to pay around £2 - £3 which is money well spent! It can be purchased from most retailers or supermarkets.
I would recommend this coffee to family and friends and consider it to be my favourite standard everyday use coffee.
I'm currently using this mouse at work and I have no problems with it what so ever. Its just so basic and simple to use. You simply plug it in to one of your USB sockets and it installs the device drivers automatically (compatible with Windows 7 which is what I am using). It took about 1 - 2 minutes to install the device drivers then you can use it straight away without even having to re-boot. The cable is about 1.5 meters long I'd say so you have plenty of length to move the mouse into a comfortable position. Its just a basic 3 button mouse. You have a left button, a right button and a wheelie thing in the middle.
The mouse is a decent size and fits comfortably in my palm. I have quite big hands and there is nothing worse than a small fiddly mouse having to move your fingers in an abnormal position to get a nice grip round it! I dont have that problem with this mouse however and would consider it a general all round good basic mouse. Its also optical so you dont need to worry about the mouse ball getting all grotty. Some optical mouses play up a bit and skip across the screen but again I have no problems like that with this mouse and would recommend it to friends & work colleagues. It just does everything that you need for work purposes.
The mouse retails at around £7 - £9.
Being an IT Support Analyst its inevitable that sometimes we need to break things open to check out the gubbins. This tool kit is absolutley perfect for that and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to tinker with small electrical devices or needs repair electrical items such as phones and hard drives. Its really good for fiddly small devices like phones as it comes complete with a good selection of tiny screw drivers and one of my favourite tools is the 3 pronged parts retriever. It works in the way of a needle, you kind of push the end of it to open the 3 prongs then it can clasp tiny screws or other items then you pull it up and it sucks it into the tube which is mega handy as sometimes screws and small parts can fall loose inside the devices your working on.
All the tools come in a neat zip black case which is easy to open. The tools are all strapped in. The only annoying thing is it can be a bit morbid putting the tools back in under their straps but its worth doing to keep everything secure. As well as multiple small screw drivers it also has a soldering iron which I have yet to use, cable stripper, mini electric screw driver, 2 batteries, allumn keys, pliers and a torch. Its basically everything you would need to get into small electrical devices and to repair them.
The 55 piece set retails at around £26 and is well worth the money.
This small device is the life blood of my guitar and without it I wouldn't be able to play a thing that sounded good due to the guitar being out of tune! I am a pretty beginner guitarist so having an auto tuner is essential for me as I am unable to tune by ear (not really tried). Playing an out of tune guitar is like watching a TV with pixels missing or playing a piano with missing keys... its just not the whole package and it would sound terrible.
This tuner can be used for electric or acoustic guitars. If it is an electric guitar you are tuning you simply plug one end of your amp cable into the guitar and the other end into the tuner. Once this is done you simply tune each string 1 at a time. When you pluck a string, a pin on the tuner will move to what pitch / letter it is... you need to get the pin on the right letter and in the center of the 2 oval shapes in the picture. When it is in the center a green LED light will also come on. If its not in the center there are 2 red arrow lights which will tell you which way you need to tune to get it to the right pitch. Sometimes the pin can be a bit in no mans land and it can take some fiddling to get the tuning correct but this device definitley helps over all.
If you are tuning an acoustic the above concept is the same apart from you can't connect to the guitar so you have to hold the tuner near the strings to pick up the tone. The device is really simple, it has an on/off button and a pitch pipe button. I've never used the pitch pipe button as I think its more for tuning by ear.. all it does is cycle through the letters on the tuner and lets out a buzz in the corresponding letter tone.
This device can be picked up for around £8 - £12 and I recommend it to any beginner guitarists.
Lambert & Butler, L & B & Lambert are all common names for this brand of cigarette. A pack of 20 is retailling for £5.85 at the moment in the shops local to me. They have a special £5.85 sticker on the cling film wrap part so normally they might be a few more pence dearer. This has been my favourite brand for quite a while now. To me they are not to strong and not to light, they are just about right. Its horrible when you have a cig and it feels like your sucking a straw because they are so light! This is definitley not one of those brands. Its also not as strong as some of the other brands like Embassy or B & H Gold. This brand is my happy medium. In the mornings I do notice that my breath and mouth can feel pretty dirty but I think that would be the same no matter what fag brand you smoked!
I do find that from time to time you get the odd cigarrette that bellows with smelly smoke, this is normally due to a huge chip of tobacco in the cigarette. These occurrences are few and far inbetween but it does happen occasionly. The packaging isn't to bad either, pretty standard really - you have the cellophane around the box, rip that off then open the box, then rip off the foil around the cigs then walla you have access to the cancerous sticks!!!
I strongly advise no one to start smoking as it is highly addictive and really isn't a nice taste. Its also expensive and life threatening. I plan to stop in the new year. I first started smoking when I was 19, stopped when I was 22 then started again when I was 23. I am now 25. Smoking is highly annoying.... I like it but at the same time I hate it because of the health implictions.
Smirnoff Vodka is probably the meat and gravy of my night out! When ever alcohol is involved, be it in a pub or house party then Smirnoff Vodka is normally what I end up drinking for the majority of the night! Drinking Smirnoff Vodka on its own isn't particulary enjoyable in my opinion. It tastes a bit like TCP of some kind and is not a great taste. Smirnoff Vodka is absolutley great though when you mix it with something along with lots of ice. Some of my favourites are Vodka & Redbull and Vodka lemonade & lime. Quite a lot of people have it with coke but thats not one of my faves. Smirnoff Vodka is very versatile so if you dont enjoy the taste of it that much you can easily experiment and try mixing it with your favourite juice or soft drink. It seems to get me drunk quite easy. Its actually a really expensive drink in some places. Some clubs sell doubles of it with redbull for around £7 - £8. The drink doesn't particulary last you that long either if you drink as fast as I do! In pubs it generally costs around £4 - £5 for a double vodka + mixer drink. To buy a decent sized bottle of this from a local shop it would probably cost in the region of £12 - £18 depending on what size you got. Its a great drink to have in your fridge for house parties as its very versatile but it can go pretty quick!
Thats right Baileys is a really whippingly creamy great drink!! I love this stuff its really pleasant to drink. Its a milky, creamy alcoholic beverage thats tastes slightly of coffee in my opinion. Its normally served in large sized shot amounts and goes down really easy. It tastes delicious ice cold so best served poured over ice. Bailey's also goes great in coffee instead of using milk. It makes it taste extra creamy, gives it a nice taste and is just a nice relaxing drink thats suitable to have before bed time :). It's not really a drink you would have to get totally smashed, its just far to relaxing and enjoyable. It would make an ideal present for anyone old enough to drink really and can usually be obtained for around £12 - £18 depending on the bottle size. It can be purchased from most retailers that sell alcohol or super markets. Its also available in pubs. It's a great drink to end the night on if your finding things a bit to heavy or if you come in from a hectic night its nice to unwind and have a relaxing Baileys coffee.
I've brought from the perfume shop quite alot of times and never had any problems. They have quite a vast selection of fragrances on offer but dont stock everything. An example of this was today when I went to Perfume Shop... they didnt have any Red Diesel (some cheapy perfume that my sister wanted for some reason). They normally have all the main branded perfumes in stock that most people are looking for. I have been to about 3 different shops and the layout is pretty much the same - a smallish shop with a counter, you approach the counter and have to look at the emporium of perfumes behind it on the shelves. The staffing doesn't seem overly brilliant... They normally have 2 or 3 staff members manning the counter and when they are free they always seem to be very helpful. I've never had any problems with their customer service, they come across as friendly & helpful. Sometimes a bit slacking on the service speed if there are queues but thats because they help every individual if they want to test the perfumes and such. If you are not sure what a perfume smells like they can spray some on a test stick for you. I think the last few times I've been to the Perfume Shop the assistants have made me aware of an offer they do - 10% off any fragrance thats over £30 so be sure to ask for this offer if they do not suggest it to you. Its always good to shop around for fragrances cus shops sell different ones at different prices and this is one of the ones I always check in to price compare!!!
I brought my girlfriend some of this today. It was either this or Lady Million. We smelled both and this one was simply gorgeous. We got quotes from several shops and ended up getting it from the perfume shop for £46. For that price it also came in a set with some body lotion. The perfume shop offered us a 10% discount so it was a pretty good deal.
Its quite a strong smelling perfume that I would describe as a musky, sexy, amber, sparkling fruit aroma. The perfume is really pleasant smelling however there are rumours of the smell not lasting that long, which my girlfriend has yet to experience as when ever she is doused in it it seems to last ages! I'd recommend any guy to treat their other half to some of this on a special occasion as it does smell really nice although comes with a price tag to match the brand name.
I'd describe the packaging as expensive looking and eye catching. It has designer brand written all over it which is why it's quite pricey.
If you plan on buying the middle sized bottle of this stuff then I'd also recommend getting the gift set as its about the same price and you get a bottle of body lotion with it.
Overall a pretty good fragrance.
