I am what you would call handbags and shoes obsessive...I'm not obsessive in a crazy way to the point i have to have the latest. I just love and appreciate them so much that words cannot describe my passion for them. I must say, i disliked Louis Vuitton when i was much younger, because it was for and carried by old people. I fell in love with Gucci and became a die-hard gucci girl. I still am loyal to Gucci, but have bought a few Louis Vuitton pieces over the years, especially when i was travelling a lot. I have two vintage pieces, a Speedy 35 and the carryall 55. I have carried them all over the world and they really keep their shape as well as pack really well. I purchased the Neverfull Damier GM after i had my daughter, and used it as a baby bag for a short while. Its still my everyday bag, especially in the winter, because its very spacious and i can throw it over my shoulder on my way out. The quality of these designer bags really do hold their worth in terms of longevity, craftsmanship and quality. If taken care off these bags will last for decades. I have always believed that the amount of money used to purchase one quality made designer bag outweighs the purchasing of several cheaper sub quality bags over a period of time to be worth it. Most of my hand bags i've had for over 10 years and because i put them back in their dust bags still look pretty new. However, the speedy and carryall no longer have dust bags, because of the excessive travelling i did they got lost along the way. They're still in fantastic shape, clean inside and out and could resell for over 300.00 easily. All i do is stuff them with old baby clothes to keep the shape, dust them off every so often and thats it!
Negative: The only problem i've ever had with any of my bags was the Neverfull. The corners where the material overlaps came undone 2 years ago. I was deeply disappointed because i had only used it about 2 times and was shocked to see that. I went back to LV in the West end and got a no quibble replacement. Three months down the line, the same split happened, so back to Louis Vuitton i went with an attitude, after reading online about how badly treated customers were by some of the sales assistants. When i got there i had to queue for about 25 mins(LV/Selfridges). When i got in, had a great sales assistant who was really nice. Apparently a few customers had the same complaint as i did, so it was a relief. She said the bag would be sent off to France where all repairs were done for the lining to be taken off and restitched, but that it would take 3 months as they have a backlog. I didn't mind the wait as long as the issue got resolved, so i agreed. Two months later i received a call to say my bag was ready. It was perfect and i've had no problems ever since, considering its used as an everyday bag.....
I purchased the family size grill so that meal times would be easier and healthier. I love this grill because of its flexibility. It has many accessories including a drip tray for fat drainage. I can grill almost anything on it and the greatest part of all, is that i don't have to go out into the garden to have some BBQ'd meats. Its compact, portable and can be placed on any hard surface. The option to create tasty hot sandwiches appeals mostly to my teen children, who enjoy creating different fillings for their sandwiches. I also love the pancake trays, which turns out perfectly cooked pancakes. With 6 different heat settings, a spatula, drip trays and cooking plates, this is the ideal gift.
Now for the negative: One of my daughter's dropped my grill from the top of our fridge/freezer and the handle on the grill plate smashed as it hit the floor. I have been searching high and low for a replacement, but no joy. I sent an email to their customer service department but no response...Although it was our fault that caused the damage those are the things to bear in mind when purchasing. Beyond that, its a great piece of tabletop equipment to have and i have no regrets in purchasing it. I am still able to use the broken grill, but have to be careful not to burn my hands on the metal part which was left exposed on the handle.
Whilst i'm not partial to any particular brand, much less salt and vinegar crisps, I have to say these kettle chips in this flavour stood out amongst the rest. I was hesitant in trying these as i already dislike vinegar, but my 2 year old daughter refused to swap for the ready salted pack in the shop. As soon as i put the first chip into my mouth, i was pleasantly surprised. Bursting with rich flavours, the vinegar was milder than expected and i found myself reaching into the bag multiple times on the way home. If my daughter hadn't insisted on me purchasing these crisps, I wouldn't have been open to trying this or other flavours.
I buy Kettle chips mainly because they are made with natural ingredients, therefore have less additives and preservatives in them. I would recommend Kettle Chips to anyone who enjoys flavour full, natural foods over any other type of crisps...They're perfect for children, if you want them to eat foods as natural as possible.
I purchased the Bamix deluxe after having my daughter 2 years ago. I loved the multi-purpose blender, which was perfect for making her first meals of mashed carrots, potatoes and fruit compotes. The attachments are also still very much being used in our kitchen to whip up all sorts of dishes, including soups, stews, egg whites etc, as i also make cakes.
Its easy to clean, just a simple rinse under warm running water and a quick dry before returning it back to its space saving cradle for the next time. I mainly use the chopping blade or the smoothing blade to whip up things like cream and strawberries for Eton mess desserts etc.
There is also another fantastic multi-purpose attachment which whips caster sugar into icing sugar, chops nuts, onions, garlic etc! It has come in handy many times when i've run out of icing sugar.
I have no faults with the full equipment at all.
Kenwood Electric Rice Cooker.
Cooks rice perfectly.
Keeps it warm for hours
Rice spoon & Veg steamer included.
None so far.
I used to cook rice the traditional way in a pan on the hob. Having the time to stand over the pan and watch to make sure the rice doesn't burn was sometimes laborious and frustrating, especially with a young family. The rice cooker has not only freed up my time, i no longer have to worry about burning the rice as i do other things. I love the rice cooker and will never live without one after this experience. In fact, i'm planning on buying one for my daughter as a holiday gift!
The flexibility of this rice cooker is that you can safely add ingredients to the rice as it cooks. E.g Sweet corn or peas. It also has the added benefit of a steamer, which is fantastic for steaming vegetables, making it a healthier option than boiling or stir-frying. I tend to add the vegetables about 10 minutes before the rice is completely cooked, so they're not soggy.
Its Non stick, so easy cleaning and comes with a non scratch serving spoon.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to eat healthier or those with a busy schedule/household.
After weeks and months of eagerly waiting to buy the Ipad 3, when I finally was ready to purchase; I did some research and found conflicting information. I already owned the iphone4 and had issues with flash player not being able to download and watch certain things because of the lack of it. Because of this, I decided to research the best tablet on the market. Up pops the Motorola Xoom 2. Had heard bits about it, but was still in unchartered waters. The Motorola Xoom 2, which ticked all the boxes of a tablet computer that was not only functional and efficient in producing exactly what i wanted, it was a nifty piece of equipment too!
It came out on top of the Ipad, based on the fact that Apple puts a lot of restrictions on its products (flash being a major handicap for users) and charge a bundle for it at the same time. Since purchasing the Xoom I am still buzzing about how great this little gadget is.
2. Pros: Has a large 32gb hard drive. Can be connected to a TV for a larger screen projection when watching films. Battery life lasts for about 2 ½ hours with constant use before needing a charge. I use it to watch HD videos/films online. Watch and follow workout videos, which takes less time than booting up my laptop. Most of all, its great for the games that I love to play and the main reason I bought it. (fashion story, restaurant story, tap ranch etc). The 10.1 inch screen makes it easy for me to see things, without having to strain or wear my reading glasses constantly. My 2 year old daughter has already mastered how to use it for watching movies as well as play educational games, so anyone can use it. Its easy to carry around with you. I just put it in the case and into my handbag and i'm off.
Cons: Can freeze or slow down, but i'm sure its because of the app that i'm using at the time. Other than that, I haven't found anything bad about it.
I would recommend the Motorola Xoom 2 over any other tablet computers. I love its ability to help me stay organised throughout the day via an organisational app. The list of apps that can be installed are endless and everything that you could use at your finger tips. The best thing i've purchased this year!
Sennheiser CX 300 ear phones.
Great quality in sound at a reasonable price. I purchased these as an alternative to the big donut headphone that goes over your head, as my sons had a habit of disappearing with them whenever i wanted to listen to music or watch a film on my laptop. I did some research online first, as i wanted a high tech, great quality priced earphones. The Sennheiser CX 300 had great reviews and despite never having heard of the brand i decided to take a chance. It was more than i was expecting. Along with sturdy and strong cables that even the strength of my three year old daughter couldn't pull apart, it delivered great sound and quality with clarity. I also liked the fact that it came with extra ear buds as i have very small ear holes. I would definitely recommend these ear/headphones and will be purchasing another set, but with volume control.
