I absolutely love Maybelline's Falsies mascara. I've always been very fussy with the mascara I wear as I love my lashes to look long and to curve upwards- but I hate it going clumpy! It's so hard to find a mascara as good as Maybelline's Falsies.
This mascara tube is bright purple and fits comfortably in your hand. It should immediately catch your eye in the shops! I always use Maybelline mascara and the Falsies stood out immediately.
The mascara wand is a curved shape to fit the natural curve of your eyelashes. On the back of the packaging, it instructs you to use the curved side first and then flip it over to use the other side to elongate your lashes. It works exactly the way they say it does and it transforms your eyelashes in seconds.
When I first used it, I was amazed by the way it changed my eyelashes from plain and boring to long and absolutely stunning. It doesn't clump at all and I've received multiple compliments on how good it looks. Just the other day a friend asked how I got my eyelashes to stay separated ;)
I live in South Africa and it costs between R100 and R140 which is quite expensive but I think it's so worth it.
Would I recommend it?
YES YES and YES. Go and buy Maybelline Falsies Mascara NOW! :)
The Tavern 'n Ale is situated in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. It is a little pub with a restaurant attached to it.
They are well known for their ribs, the tastiest rack of ribs you will ever eat! You can order food from the restaurant even if you're sitting in the bar.
On Tuesdays they have karaoke. From Wednesday to Saturday they have live music starting at 9pm and ending roughly around 1am. The vibe on a Friday and a Saturday are not to be missed!
The drinks are very decently priced and the bartenders and waitrons are super friendly. If you're feeling peckish, you can order one of the baskets- ribs and chicken strips or calamari and chicken strips, and quite a few other combos! Their pizzas are also divine and perfect for 2 to share.
They stock most alcoholic beverages, but don't do cocktails.
When you go to The Tavern 'n Ale, you're bound to hear the local stories doing their rounds and you'll make friends easily with the locals. There isn't a better place to stop off for a cold one after work or party the night away on a Friday night!
I own a Blackberry Curve 8520 and it's made me want to change over to a different brand. The trackpad stopped working and still hasn't been repaired- 5 weeks later. I'm not saying the phone is all bad but it certainly has it's moments.
The Curve 8520 became very popular as it has BBM- an instant messaging service, free internet(if you pay your BIS which is around R60 per month) and it can download loads of free apps, take pretty decent quality photos and the sound quality is quite good. Your emails can be set up to come directly to your phone and the QWERTY keyboard is easy to use, especially for typing emails, etc.
That's where it ends.
Unfortunately the Curve only has EDGE. If your phone goes onto GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications) you can only sms and make and receive calls. Which sucks as the phone pretty much relies on internet for everything. The trackpad also eventually gives out. Most people I know have had to send their phone in for repairs or get completely new ones. The Blackberry Curve 8520 is also quite slow when it comes to using the internet, sometimes it doesn't load the sites at all. The more apps you have, the slower your phone is. I find I have to restart my phone (pull the battery out) at least once a day, just so that it will work and my BBM messages will go through.
I won't say don't ever get a Blackberry because they really are a brilliant invention, but rather go for one of the more recent models- they have the later operating systems (the Blackberry Curve 8520 won't let you upgrade to later software!) which work faster and are more efficient.
I bought this game as I love watching Desperate Housewives, I love playing PC games and it was quite cheap.
The game starts out with you as the 6th housewife. You choose your name and appearance as well as your husband and son's names and appearance.
The game is very similar to The Sims in the sense that you control your character. She can cook, clean, garden, go shopping and visit her neighbours. Most of this is only done when you want to complete mini games (they are not necessary, but I found them more entertaining than the game itself). The game revolves around you and your amnesia and how it came about.
The game gives you lots of choices in conversations and this is where you can choose your path/which direction you want the game to go.
The negative side to the game is that it takes some time to load and is very drawn out and if you make the wrong decision, it's a bit hard to fix and get back on track. You can also only play this game once, maybe twice if you have the patience.
It's a good game if you're a die-hard Desperate Housewives fan and have plenty time on your hands.
I often get the Avon monthly booklet from my boyfriend's mom and I must admit it's a bit of an addiction. A month ago, I saw the Cranberry & Cinnamon body lotion advertised alongside with the shower gel. I was attracted to it by the interesting combination of scents and by it's pretty-looking bottle (plus it was also on special ;)).
I ordered both and waited patiently for it to arrive. Needless to say, as soon as I got the package, I couldn't wait to smell the lotion. I'm normally not a big fan of lotions and creams as they leave my hands oily and sticky and they give me a rash on my legs. Avon's Cranberry & Cinnamon lotion did neither. It left my skin soft and smelling absolutely amazing. I hope they don't take this product off the market as I'll definitely be buying it again!
It's a must-have for anybody who has sensitive skin and wants to smell good without feeling sticky! :) xx
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me. So throw me down and tie me up, show me that you like me!" I think that certainly describes Fifty Shades of Grey right down to a T. The book may be filled with overly descriptive sex scenes and fairly bad writing, but overall it's a love story of two people who just shouldn't be together- yet manage anyhow.
I started seeing statuses on Facebook and posts on news websites about how raunchy the book was. Of course every girl is going to be curious (we might not admit it, but YES we all like to read dirty things now and then). I first tried downloading the book off 4shared, a file sharing website. To my disappointment, it only downloaded half the book. Now if you're like me, you simply cannot have only half a book! I gave up with trying to download the book and waited and waited until eventually my mom bought it.
I knew the book would be raunchy so I read the books before my mom. I expected it to get straight into the nasty bits, but it didn't. It outlined the characters exceptionally well and gave a very good background on them- except Christian Grey of course. A few people claimed it started off slow, but I loved every chapter in the book. In the first book, the graphic sex scenes are a bit surprising and hard to swallow, but after a few of them you feel like you could even try some of the things yourself! (I don't know how safe that is though...)
Fifty Shades of Grey makes you want a romance like Ana and Christian have. Yes he's a bit of a screw up, but she still loved him all the same.
The end of the first book leaves you wanting more and more and more... It's impossible to put down and I'd reccommend it to everybody who wants to fall in love with a character- and if you want to try new things in the bedroom ;) xx
