I very much enjoyed Fifty Shades Freed - the last book of the Fifty Shades Trilogy. Between this one and the first book, I can't decide which one was the best. The story follows the life of Christian and Ana and the obstacles they face throughout their relationship and seeing them grow together as a couple and as individuals, particularly Christian, a successful entrepreneur, with a troubled past, at times potentially affecting his future with Ana. There is definitely more of a story line in this final book, with many different exciting things happening, which kept me engaged throughout the whole of the story. Moreover, all of the questions and doubts that you may have had as a reader after reading Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker are finally answered in this final book.
I mentioned in my review about the first book of the trilogy, that there are too many references to Ana's 'Inner Goddess' and her 'Subconscious' again this for me is still a disadvantage of the final book, however it is mentioned less frequently.
I would definitely recommend the final book of the trilogy, even if you cannot get into the first book, I believe this book has something for everyone.
I have tried many hair moose's in the past and this one is by far the best and although it is one of the more expensive ones at £3.68, it is definitely worth the buy, and sometimes it has been known for this product to be on offer at 'buy one get one free' which is an excellent deal.
I have curly hair so I thought this would be a perfect product to buy, and I am definitely glad I did.
What I like most about this hair moose, is that unlike many other hair moose, it does not leave your hair feeling hard and sticky and instead soft and silky. However whilst leaving your hair soft it also controls the frizziness of curly hair, so you get that smooth sleek look without the hardness feeling that often comes with it. Morever, not only does it leave my hair feeling soft, it also leaves it feeling very bouncy and therefore adding definition to the curls. I have also heard from friends who use this product that it is very good for people who have straight hair and use curlers.
I would definitely recommend this product if you would like to make your curls soft, bouncy and defined.
Facebook is a social networking site aimed at helping people to connect with friends, you can upload many photo's which can be grouped into albums, with a name of your choice, you may also tag your friends in the photo's by clicking the 'tag photos' tab then clicking on your friends faces and typing their name on the box that then appears. Once your friend has been tagged, this photo will then appear on their profile, likewise if they tag a photo of you, it will then appear on your profile. This is often not a good thing if you have embarrassing photo's that you do not wish to see, however there is a untag button, and you can also send a request to have the photo removed from the photo owners page.
There is also a chat facility where you can instantly chat to all your online friends and if they are not online it will instantly go to their private inbox. If someone was to write on your profile or comment on a photo for example you will be notified of this, for example when you sign into facebook, a number will appear on top of the world symbol, for instance if you have two notifications, a red number two would appear.
Although I am a regular user of Facebook and have been for many years I feel that it exposes people too much, for example if I was to write something on a friends profile (now referred to as a timeline) that message will immediately appear on all of my friends' friends news feed. There is also a separate mini newsfeed which notifies you of everyone's actions and although I am quite a nosy person, I do not write things publicly on my facebook, for the simple reason that I do not want my whole life shared to many people, potentially people I do not even know.
After hearing women go crazy about this book, I had to buy it, to see what all of the fuss was about, and I am definitely glad that I did. Others have said that they believe that there is not much of a story line to this story, however, I have to disagree, yes the majority of the book is based on 'intimate encounters' but the story line had me captured and wanting to know more, particularly about one of the main characters 'Christian Grey' and the reasons as to why is is like he is, I won't go into to much detail, for not wanting to spoil the story line for anyone, but I will describe Christian's character as domineering and controlling in many aspects of his life. Anastasia Steele who is the first person narrative of this story, falls into Christian's office one morning and thereafter challenges Christian's Dominant lifestyle and makes Christian question his life.
The only disadvantage of this book, I feel were the constant references by the main character Ana, to her inner goddess and her subconscious, but perhaps this would not be an issue for everyone, and despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Overall I think this is a great story which I would recommend to all women. I also went on to reading all three Fifty Shades books which I enjoyed thoroughly.
I bought this Dynamo DVD after hearing many people comment on how amazing Dynamo's magic is ... and I am now going to be another one of those people ... he really is amazing and I would definitely recommend purchasing the DVD!
Dynamo is a magician, but what I find stands out about him is how he carries out his magic. He doesn't perform on stage, he performs in front of strangers on the street and the DVD shows him surprising strangers all around the world. In the DVD you also see him working with some known celebrities. The expression on the people's faces when they see what Dynamo can do, goes from pure amazement to speechless and scared!
In the DVD, Dynamo describes his life story and I feel that by doing this, he captivates you even more, because it makes you realise that he is just a down to earth young man who lives an extroadinary life and uses his talent to amaze others. The DVD features many different episodes and lots of different tricks. At ix pound on average it is defintely worth the money.
With some magicians I try and work out how they do it, but with Dynamo, it's impossible to tell, to me it is literally just magic. I am not going to attempt to describe any of the things he does because I won't do them justice, it is just one of those things that you need to see to believe it. I will say one thing though, Dynamo walks on water!
Overall the DVD left me amazed and I could definitely watch more, there is something about Dynamo himself that captivates me and that's before he carries out his magic.
I'd firstly like to say that I own two toy poodles, and I absolutely love them. I'd like to also mention that this review is regarding toy poodles rather than poodles in general. Alfie is seven and Hugo is two. As a family we had never owned a dog before, as my dad suffers from asthma, however we were pleased to find out that poodles don't shed hair so we decided to buy a poodle as my sister and I had always wanted one.
We have two black poodles, however poodles come in a number of colours, for example: apricot; red; cream; white; black; silver (a light grey); blue (a dark grey) and brown.
Size and weight:
Toy poodles are very small, however their size varies slightly, for example one of mine is taller and more stockier than the other. On average they are 10 inches or under at the highest point of their shoulder. Their weight therefore also varies ranging from six to nine pounds.
Poodle's are very happy loyal dogs, so they offer great companionship, they absolutely love cuddles! I'm not just talking about sitting on your lap, they'll rest their head on your shoulder and snuggle into you. Although they are small, they know how to make themselves heard. Alfie has a very high pitched bark and will definitely use that to his advantage when he wants something. However, Hugo has a low bark and only really barks if something scares him. Poodles are very playful dogs, so make sure you have plenty of toys, both of my poodles like to bring a toy to whoever walks in the door, as though they're giving you a gift! Despite being told that poodles will only need a short walk, my dogs love going for long walks and will definitely tell you if they are not ready to go home, for example, my dogs will sit down and turn his head back the way we were walking.
A Dog for Children?
I wouldn't recommend toy poodles for children, simply because of their size which makes them delicate and the rough play that children may engage in with toy poodles, may make them unintentionally aggressive in order to protect themselves.
Toy poodles will need to regularly be groomed, and particular attention will need to be paid to their ears. Both of my dogs have problems with wax in their ears which is common for poodles. Therefore to keep on top of this any hair inside the ear canal should be pulled out, but extra care needs to be taken when doing so.
Overall, toy poodles are very loving dogs with active personalities requiring lots of love and attention.
I have visited Longleat Safari Park many times and each and every time I have thoroughly enjoyed my day. along with the people whom I visited the Safari Park with.
Longleat Safari Park is located in Wiltshire and is situated amongst beautiful rolling countryside.
A Great Day Out:
There are so many things to do and enjoy at Longleat which is one of the many reasons why I think it makes a great day out for people of all ages. For this reason, I personally think it is highly beneficial to purchase the All in One Day Ticket costing £27.50 for an adult, £19.50 for a child and £22 for a senior, which in my opinion is an absolute bargain. This ticket allows you unlimited access to all of the attractions at Longleat for one day. My favourite attractions have to be the Meerkat enclosure and the Lorekeet enclousure. I love how when you walk through the Meerkat enclosure the Meerkats walk across the path that you're walking on, allowing you to have a close look at them and take some great photographs. For the Lorekeet enclosure you pay £1 for a pot nectar which you walk around the enclosure holding and because the Lorekeet's love nectar, you have loads of them landing on you, I think I had about 3 perched on my head. I enjoyed this experience, although I can imagine that this would not be to everyone's liking.
I very much enjoyed feeding the deer, driving through the safari and seeing many wonderful animals including, lions, tigers, wolves and the monkeys ... even if they do sometimes rip peoples cars apart! I enjoyed every single one of their attractions, including the maze, that even after 3 attempts I still can't seem to find my way out without looking at the clues!
Every time I visit Longleat there is always something new there. In fact just recently they have opened Cheetah Kingdom which I will definitely be visiting in the very near future.
The Film One Day was originally written as a book by the author David Nicholls. Many of my friends had mentioned that they had read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I personally haven't read the book, so this review is simply on the film itself.
Having heard all of the good reviews about the book I decided to buy the film. I am a massive fan of romantic movies, so with the intriguing title and captivating image pictured on the front of the DVD, I had a feeling that the movie would be right up my street.
I won't go into detail about the story line as I wouldn't want to ruin the film for anybody. However, what I will say is that the film is very easy to follow and definitely not predictable in some senses!, in other words, there is a twist.
The basic storyline is that of two university students who meet on their graduation day and although they are both besotted with each other, they both hide this but remain best friends. The film tells a story of their life on the day that they met, each year after, which I thought was nice as you can see how they are both changing and progressing with their lives.
Be prepared to laugh and cry with this film, I would recommend watching.
I received my Trollbead bracelet for my 18th birthday, before this, I had never heard of Trollbeads but I instantly became in love with them. I was given the Trollbead Bracelet with three beads on it and I now at 21 have a full bracelet.
Although there are many different charmbead varieties, Trollbeads are the oldest range and I definitely think they are the best range for many reasons. Firstly I think they look and feel the most expensive out of the ranges of charm bracelets and as they are the first brand to be created I feel that their designs are more original than others, who often tend to copy the designs.
I love the idea how each bead can tell a story and the meaning of each bead can be found on the Trollbead website. Whenever I wear my Trollbead bracelet I always receive compliments about how lovely it looks, in fact after I received my Trollbead bracelet for my 18th Birthday, seven more close members of my family now own a Trollbead bracelet.
I know also own a Trollbead necklace which I also love! I also own the Trollbead jewellery holder so that eventually I can collect several different colours of trollbeads so I can swap and change depending on my outfit.
The website is very easy to navigate around and the images of the Trollbeads are very clear and vibrant, allowing the customer to have a highly accurate image of what the products actually look like.
In order to buy a product, the website requires the customer to type in their postcode, following this, a list of all Trollbeads trusted retailers will appear, in order of closed distance to the given postcode. A link to the retailers website is also given, whereby the customer can make their online order. Also featured on the website is a 'Wish List' tool, which allows the customer to select the items that they would like, but perhaps cannot afford to buy at the present time that they are browsing the website.
The prices range anything from £26 to £600 for the 18ct gold charms.
I would highly recommend the Trollbeads website as it does a brilliant job in advertising the beautiful Trollbeads.
I started watching The Vampire Diaries right from the very first episode, whilst I was at University. I was captivated so much that I bought the first series to watch again, this time with my family, they were a bit unsure about whether they would like it as they did not think it was their sort of film, however after the first episode they were intrigued to find out more.
The Vampire Diaries: A Short Description
The Vampire Diaries is based on the book series which is written by L.J Smith. The main story line is about a girl named Elena Gilbert who falls in love with a guy named Stefan who she eventually finds out that he is a vampire along with his brother Damon who is also a Vampire. I won't go into anymore detail as I feel this may spoil the story line for people who have not seen any of the series.
I personally love the Vampire Diaries, however I prefer to wait until the DVDs come out as I find that because it's so captivating it is nice to watch an episode a night rather than to wait once a week. I found that one night my family and I were so engaged in the episodes that we ended up watching 6 in one evening! The DVD also contains some cut material that does not appear on TV, for reasons that it is too gory. For those who have seen the well-known Twilight films, Vampire Diaries is much more gory and action-filled than Twilight, however it is less gory than the 'True Blood' series.
Overall the Vampire Diaries series are captivating, romantic, action-packed and often has you sat on the edge of your chair!
A few months ago, when I was told that as part of my teaching interview I needed to read a short story to a group of pre-school children in an engaging and exciting way. I immediately knew that Handa's Surprise was the story that I was going to read to the children, with its vibrant and beautiful illustrations and many learning opportunities, I thought that the children would love this story, and they did!
The Plot: This is the story of a girl named Handa, who on the way to visit her friend Akeyo, picks a variety of fruits and puts them in her basket, in which she carries on her head. However, what she does not realize is that a variety of animals are taking the fruits one by one from her basket as she progresses on her journey until eventually she has no fruits in her basket, until a goat runs into a tree and knocks into a tree full of tangerines, which then fall into her basket. Handa then greets Akeyo and hands her to the basket, which to her surprise is full of tangerines!
I found this book very educational as many children have never heard of the fruits and animals that mentioned within this book, for example a passion fruit, a guava, an avocado, and an antelope. It can also be used to help children with counting, for example prior to reading the story to the pre-school children, I placed all of the fruit in a basket allowing the children to take away the correct fruit at the same time as the animal takes the fruit away from Handa's basket. I then asked the children how many fruits are now left in the basket, therefore encouraging them to count. I felt that the children were very engaged in the story and it prompted much discussion surrounding the fruit and the animals and also into the reason why Handa was carrying a basket on her head.
This story is a very short story aimed at very young children. I have read this story to a group of children aged 1-2 and they absolutely love this book. The story starts of with 'if you see a cuddly kitten say awww' and this is the point where this story is great for participation as many children will repeat 'awww' with excitement and joy on their faces. Some of the other animals in this story include a dozy doormouse which encourages children to say 'ssshhh' and an enormous elephant which encourages children to say 'wow'. This story is also great because it offers opportunities to lead on to further discussion such as asking the children 'what noise does this animal make' which therefore encourages further participation. The images of the animals featured in this story are very realistic and very clear. I also use this book to encourage children to use sign language, as I myself carry out the signs to each of the animals which children love to copy, therefore offering them a new learning opportunity.
Firstly I would like to mention that I have celiac disease and a while ago I was using a gluten-free gravy powder. However this gravy just did not taste like the gravy I was used to before I found out I had Celiac Disease.
After recommendations from family about the Knorr Stock Pots, I decided to use Knorr Stock Pots 'Beef Stock' to make my own gravy as an alternative to the gluten-free shop bought gravy. I purchased this product from the local 99p shop, which I thought was great value for money. The product came with four stock pots in plastic containers all placed within a cardboard packaging.
To make the gluten free gravy (which tasted delicious and just like the gravy I remember) I used the following ingredients:
1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot (gluten free)
500ml of water
3 tsp of Gluten Free Plain Flour.
I first boiled the 500ml of water in a saucepan, following this I then added the gelly like beef stock pot and stirred until dissolved. I then added the flour to thicken the gravy.
These stock pots can also be added straight into a dish and is perfect for casseroles. I have also used the beef stock pots to make the filling for pasties, which also tasted delicious.
I would definitely recommend this product and it makes an excellent alternative to gluten-free gravy powder.
I received this book for Christmas and as soon as I started reading it, I could not put it down! I have always been a big fan of Cecelia Ahern's books, and this one definitely lived up to my expectations. Right from the very beginning I was drawn into the book and as the story went on, I was captivated even more. Without giving too much information away, the meaning behind the story definitely made me think about my life and put things into perspective, it left me feeling appreciative of life. The story is about a business women who gets an invitation through the post to meet up with her own life and after a long journey with her life she starts to realise what matters in life. The story definitely made me laugh after almost every page! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who hasn't already read it.
I am just writing this review after making some gorgeous cupcakes using this Kitchen Aid Mixer. It has a ten speed setting which is good because you can change the setting depending on what you are making. It is very easy to use and easy to clean. The bowl also locks into position, so it is quite nice to be able to do a bit of tidying up while the ingredients are mixing. It is also quite quiet when mixing which I like. I have the mixer in a cream colour but there are also many other colours to choose from, 26 in fact, ranging from 'boysenberry' (a dark purple colour) to white. This product is very expensive but definitely worth the investment and also looks and feels expensive too! Along with the stainless steel bowl and the splash guard that comes with the mixer you can also buy other attachments including a food grinder, a pasta maker and a rotor vegetable slicer along with many more. I would definitely recommend this stylish and useful product.
