I bought the No No about three months ago from Amazon. In the past I've tried shaving, waxing, creams, epilating and I've come to the conclusion that I have quite strong hair that just doesn't want to leave. I'm by no means rich and the No No was a sizeable chunk off my monthly income, but I decided it was time to take action to get rid of this unwanted hair for good. I've been using the No No initially three times a week for the first month and two times a week for the last two (mainly because I'm lazy). Top half of my legs the hair has all but disapeared, the bottom half of my legs there is a noticeable difference, hair growth thinner and patches of no hair at all. Under arms and bikini line no noticeable patches but I believe the growth has definitely slowed down. I use the buffer about once a week, as I said I'm lazy so by this time its maybe 3-5mm long but this is a vast improvement to the 5 o'clock shadow that I used to get on my legs. It does smell of burning hair when you use it, so I do it in my bedroom on my own with the door closed and the window open before I have a shower in the morning, the smell on your skin washes off and the smell in the air goes within a few hours. The thermo tips claim they last about an hour of constant use and you have to clean them every so often with the brush provided. I do this, in my experience the tips for long hair tips have on two occasions only lasted about 1 minute but the short hair tip that I use has lasted ever since I got the No No and the long hair tip I'm using at the moment has lasted about a month so guess for the most part I would say they're reliable. I'd say it takes me about an hour each time I use the No No, I go over each area 2-3 times (I aim for two but if I'm watching tv at the same time I forget how many times I've done it.) It doesn't take much concentration but if you do have sensitive skin (I do) it can get a little red from the heat. I have once burned my leg using it, but that was because I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I kept going over the same area - maybe I have a high pain threshold or something, but I didn't feel it until my skin had started to feel warm! So I think that's all aspects covered; don't expect instant results because it won't happen but if you stick at it you won't be disapointed. In my opinion, definitely worth the money.
I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and this L'occitane Rose body cream certainly did not let me down. I bought it without hesitation as I have tried many of the L'occitane products and have always been delighted with the quality and value for money. This body cream comes in a small 100 ml pot but boy does it last. The cream is so concentrated a very small amount goes such a long way. I use it after my morning shower as it sinks in so quickly and does not leave a sticky residue on the skin. I can smooth it over my body and it sinks in so quickly that I can get dressed almost immediately ( I usually brush my teeth and then pull on my clothes just to let it sink in). The texture of the cream is luxurious and smooth and sinks into the skin leaving it feeling smooth, silky and comforted. I don't have exceptionally dry skin but I find that this cream keeps my skin feeling moisturised all day. Any areas of skin exposed on my arms, legs and décolletage are left with a lovely sheen and looks in such good condition it gives me the confidence to wear shorter skirts and lower tops. Anyone who has a dry skin would definitely benefit from using this cream as it is so much more than just a moisturiser, giving comfort throughout the day. I have talked about the texture and benefits but have not touched on the scent of the cream yet. As I am not a fan of rose scents I was unsure about this Vineyard Rose but it is not like any rose scent I have smelt before. It has a delicate, sophisticated natural rose scent that lingers all day long. It is certainly not like the synthetic rose scent that my granny used to wear. Such a true soft real rose scent that in my opinion only L'occitane can produce. I must say that I am totally addicted to this product and will have a fit if L'occitane ever retires it. I have given it to my family and friends for gifts and have had nothing but praise for it and am always asked the question; "where can I get it?" There are just not enough stars to give this product - I absolutely love it. It's divine!
I have owned this Kipling wallet for around 5 years now and it is still as good as new. I am very fussy when it comes to a purse/wallet as it needs to look good but also suit my busy lifestyle. This wallet fits the bill perfectly. The wallet itself is a nice fashionable colour and is in the traditional Kipling nylon fabric which can be wiped clean and means it stays looking new. The wallet is large being 7.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide. Saying that, it fits into all of my handbags very comfortably. The stitching on the wallet is really strong and durable, in fact I am amazed with the amount of abuse mine gets that it still shows no sign of wear and tear. The organisation inside the wallet is excellent. There is a double backed durable zip section for coins, 3 sections for notes or receipts, 10 slots for cards and 2 window slots for photos/ ID etc. The card section has a loop with a stud closure which closes over to keep the cards safely concealed when the wallet is open - very clever idea to keep prying eyes out. The wallet closes over with a stud closure but instead of just 1 place to close it has 2 - perfect for a bulging purse! It is very practical because you open one stud and can reach for your cash and cards immediately without having to expose the entire contents of the wallet. The design has been very well thought out with functionality and practicality in mind. As always with Kipling, it is practical, functional but extremely stylish. What more can a girl ask for?! Seriously, anyone looking for a large wallet style purse that will stand the test of time they should give this one a go. It may seem a little pricey but if you think of how long a cheap purse lasts it works out to be very reasonable.
I came across this eyeliner a few years ago watching QVC.co.uk. I had never heard of Smashbox as it is a brand from the United States of America. I was hesitant to order as sometimes products look good on TV but can be a disappointment when you get them. Boy am I glad I took the chance with this eyeliner! When it arrived I was a bit unsure as the pot is quite small but I soon realised that a little goes a long way and the pot lasts for absolute ages. There are many colours of eyeliner I have tried in the Smashbox range but this one (Hollywood) is the most flattering I have found. Hollywood is a shimmery bronze colour and when applied really opens up my eyes without the harshness of a black eye liner. The liner is a shadow as well so I can line my eyes and then blend over the eye lid for a smoked out look. The liner is waterproof (perfect for those emotional days!), and is a gel consistency which dries in 60 seconds. You can be sure that this liner will not budge all day once it dries. I was pleasantly surprised to find the application was so easy as I have struggled with getting a straight line when using eye liners in the past. Not a problem with this one, it glides on effortlessly every time. I use a sweeping motion to apply but you can step in across close to the lash if you prefer. Either way is easy and the results are always professional looking. Well I suppose it's the quality of the product which helps achieve perfect results and this eye liner is certainly a quality product. I use a liner brush which I did not pay that much for but Smashbox brushes are available to buy on their websites or quite a few Boots stores across the UK. I always buy mine from Amazon.co.uk because I find they are the most competitively priced here. Overall, this is one item in my makeup bag that I could not do without. Even on "no makeup" days I can slip on my eye liner with a sweep of mascara and I look human again. I can highly recommend this product.
I am really pleased to be writing a review about this product as I am totally in love with it. In my opinion it is the best mineral foundation on the market. Let me explain why. Firstly, it is not just a foundation. It is a primer, a concealer, a foundation, a setting powder and above all it has an SPF15 protection built in. The compact comes in a box and when I first opened it I was really impressed with the quality of the compact. It is strong and durable and the black glossy finish is extremely stylish. The compact opens to reveal two sections - the luxurious mineral foundation and underneath this is a cleverly concealed section containing a puff which I use for slight touch-ups throughout the day. That's the compact but now to the actual product. The mineral foundation is beautiful. I can get a light coverage for daytime or achieve full coverage by building it up for evening time. The application is so simple. First of all,I use a concealer brush to cover any imperfections that I want to hide. Then, I use a larger brush (kabuki or blusher) to apply the foundation over my whole face. I don't have to be precise - just a quick buff over and it's done. Simple as that, it takes literally seconds. Fantastic when I am in a hurry! The finish is so natural looking but completely flawless. The feeling on the skin is like silk and I can honestly say I don't feel like I am wearing makeup at all. I also know that I have SPF protection which is great for me as I am very aware of the damaging effects of the sun and how aging it can be. There are a variety of shades to choose from to suit all skin tones. As I have a pale skin, I tend to wear the ivory in autumn/winter and then choose to wear the cinnamon in spring/summer as my skin has more colour. Another point I need to make is the makeup is actually good for your skin. It is made with pure mineral pigments which mean no irritation, just it is a really comfortable makeup to wear . On first impressions, Bella Pierre may seem a bit pricey but the compact is 10g which lasts me for absolutely months, that's using it every day. So, value for money is great and I know I am not harming my skin - in fact doing it good. I can honestly say everyone should try this foundation. I love it!
I tried this, full of expectations after watching a promotion for it on television. I have to say I was very disappointed. The kit promised amazing results - full coverage, flawless skin with a radiant finish to the complexion. I am afraid to say I did not obtain these results when using it. I don't have the worst skin in the world but just wanted to look like myself but only better (which the promotion promised). To go into detail on each product, the foundations were so powdery looking on my skin I looked about 10 years older than I am! There were two shades of foundation in the kit which I have to say was a good idea - one for the spring/summer and one for the autumn/winter. The shades were quite similar and did suit my skin tone but were just too powdery looking. The Bisque (concealer) did not cover my imperfections at all - so disappointing as I was hoping for a flawless look. The Tinted Mineral Veil which promised to soften the complexion and give an airbrushed finish was just more like a fine powder and accentuated my fine lines. The Warmth All-Over Face Colour was okay, a bit like a blusher but too powdery for me again. That just leaves the brushes to give my verdict on and I have to say yet again I was not overly impressed. In fact, I found them to be quite rough on the skin. I would not describe my skin as sensitive but I definitely felt a bit of irritation when using them. So anyone with sensitive skin take note! BareMinerals is not the cheapest on the market and this kit, although it had a saving compared to buying the items individually was more than I would usually invest in makeup. I have achieved much better results from less premium brands at a fraction of the cost. Overall, an extremely disappointing purchase which I truly regret.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Mousse is the best self tanner I have come across. I have very fair skin and this mousse gives me a lovely healthy looking glow. The mousse is so easy to apply and sinks into the skin quickly so no hanging around to get dressed. I don't really mind the smell and it definately doesn't linger unlike other self tans I have used. My top tip would be to exfoliate well before applying so that you get an even coverage. Also, if you are not using mitts to apply the mousse make sure to wash your hands thoroughly immediately after applying. I usually apply before I go to bed as it is so quick and easy to absorb into the skin. St Tropez is one of the more expensive brands on the market but in my opinion it is definatlely the most natural looking for paler skins. If you are looking for a really dark tan it may not be for you although I am sure it comes in light to dark shades so there will probably be a shade to suit darker skin tones. For me, this keeps my skin looking very natural and sunkissed and nobody would know how pasty white I really am! I can honestly say I could not be without this product in my bathroom, all year round.
