REDFERN LODGE IS A SMALL HOTEL, JUST UP THE ROAD FROM THE TOWN CENTRE, IT HAS A BAR AND RESTAURANT AND WELL DECORATED ROOMS, IT HAS A SECURE CAR PARK AT THE REAR, AND HAVE TEA AND COFFEE MAKING FACILLITIES AND TELETEXT ROOMS, (IN ALL I AM TOLD) THE RATES ARE REASONABLE AND IT IS A LOT BETTER THAN OTHER PLACES IN BARNSLEY, INCLUDING THE QUEENS HOTEL AND PARK VIEW GUEST HOUSE. THEY ALSO HAVE A WEBSITE, www.redfernlodge.homepad.com , WHICH GIVES THE PRICES, MORE DETAILS ABOUT WHERE IT IS AND SOME COOL LINKS TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT BARNSLEY AND THE BEST NIGHTLIFE IN THE NORTH, WHERE PEOPLE COME FROM ALL OVER ENGLAND TO EXPERIENCE.
This is the new mobile from sagem outclassing the old one. Although it has many of the same features, including the speaker phone, which has been improved to be louder and much more clearer. The way of typing text in however has not changed, and unlike eveery other mobile going where u press the key until the letter appears, with the sagems you have to hold the key until the letter appears. this may seem nothing but it takes some getting used to. It is a cheap phone @ only £40. there are over 40 ring tones which are very loud, but they are not very good, and you cannot create your own. It also includes a currency converter & calculator
THE MANGLA INDIAN RESTAURANT IS SITUATED ON SPITALL HILL IN SHEFFIELD. IT AS A LARGE VARIETY OF DISHES AND ARE ALL VERY WELL PRICED. A PARTY OF FOUR CAN HAVE A STARTER AND MAIN MEAL FOR UNDER TWENTY POUNDS! THE FOUND IS IN MY OPINION THE BEST INDIAN IN THE AREA AND I HAVE BEEN TO MOST IN BRADFORD, BARNSLEY AND SHEFFIELD. THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE A LICENCE TO SELL ALCOHOL. BUT THERE IS A PUB ACROSS THE ROAD WHO ALLOW YOU TO TAKE PINTS OR WHATEVER TO THE MANGLA FROM THEIR PUB, THERE IS ALSO A OFF LICENCE ACROSS THE ROAD. THERE IS NO NEED TO BOOK BUT AT TIMES IT DOES GET VERY BUSY, AND AT THE MOMENT (NOV 2000) THEY ARE EXTENDING THE PREMISES, BUT I WOULD ADVISE TO GO EARLY. IT OPENS 7 DAYS A WEEK FROM 6PM.
I have had a maxon 2 for 10 months & it has been back for repairing 4 times in 6 months, once the screen would not display, then the ariel socket broke then the battery, then the sim reciever. However, it has some good ring tones although u cannot personalise the ringtones. It is a very small phone, probably the smallest prepay phone available. Although it cost me £70 they are now available for about £40. It has a batterey life of 3 days. It is available in pink, blue & Slate
