I recently purchased a Les Paul Standard (an Epiphone one I have to admit) and I find that it is superb value for money. Its price, when I bought it was £300 and it is definitely worth it. It looks great, very similiar to the real thing, and more inmportantly, it plays extremely well. It could not really be better for the price. Mine is a blue limited edition. I would high;ly recommend this guitar for anyone looking for a quality electric guitar and is restricted on the amount they can pay for it, but I hear that the prices are going up, so be quick!
i recently downloaded Sonique from the internet after somebody recommended it to me, and I am very haoppy that I did so. It is attractive, free and is very good to play all of your mp3 files on. It is much better than winamp, which I was using before, and it can be used to play all of your music from Napster. Sonique is fast, cool, and is easy to use (Once u get the hang of it). I would strongly recommend it to anybody who uses mp3's on their computer
The Millenium Dome is the biggest wiste of money the world has ever seen. I can't beliebe that they are giving more to it. Okay, it may look good from the outside, but inside, it gets very boring. The whole thing was a huge disappointment, however the biggest were The Body, The Mind Zone, and the rest Zone. The place was also so big, that we had no clue where to go! The show was the most boring, strange thing I have ever seen! I think it should be closed asap, and no more should be spent on it. Think of what could have been done with the money used to build it. It could have been used to make new hospitals, or on some other worth while cause. Cut your losses now, and close it!
This is the season that Vladimir Smicer will show his quality in the Premiership. He is a very skillful and creative player, but last season, he was very hampered by constant injuries. He could not put a run of games together. He also needs to get used to English football. This year, we will see the real player. He had agreat start to the season with some excellent performances, but then he unfortunately got injured. When he comes back, you will know about it as he will show all of his doubters how good he really is.
The recent signing of Nick Barmby from across Stanley Park will prove to be a fantastic buy for Liverpool. He is exactly what we lack, someone to put balls through for the likes of Owen, Fowler and Heskey to finish. He is extremely creative and is just reaching the peak of his career. The transfer will cause great uproar among Everton supporters, however. He has made a great start to his Liverpool career, combining very well with other players, especially Smicer. Last season, we really did not have this creativity from midfield, so this season, I think we have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League. Well done Gerard Houllier for another great buy!
Liverpool are now probably going to move to a brand new 70,000 all seater stadium, in Stanley Park, not far away from the one they have now. In my opinion, this is fantastic news for the club and has to be done. Although there are many great memories at the current Anfield, and it is still a great and atmospheric stadium, it just is not big enough for the amount of supporters who would watch every game, and due to the amount of houses around, they can not really redevelop. Therefore, to compete with teams like Man U, we have to move to a bigger stadium. The new anfield is going to be state of the art and the drawings so far look great. It will have a circular shape, with a huge car prark and hotel as well. The Liverpool fans I am sure will fill it for most matches, generating more money for the club, another bonus. Personally, I can't wait!
This is a great themepark. Two of the best are The Hulk and The Spiderman Ride. The Hulk is an incredible roller coaster ride at Islands of Adventure in Florida. In the beginning you get boosted into a twist unlike other coasters. This is my favorite part of the ride. There is about five or six times when you end up upside-down. This ride is one my favorites in Islands of Adventure. I strongly suggest people who do not have a weak stomach go on it. The wait may be long but definitely worth it. This is a truly unique ride. The Spiderman ride is no less than the incredible hulk coaster, which is excellent. This ride is not a simulator and it is not a regular ride. It's both, which gives you the amazing feeling that you are inside the cartoon. This and the hulk are my favorite rides in Islands of Adventure. They also give you 3-d glasses to wear and they make the experience loads better. I look forward to going to Islands of Adventure again.
Leeds is one of the best city’s for students in the country. It has a huge variety of clubs, bars and restaurants, many of which have special nights on which there are loads of discounts for students. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going to university in the near future. My favourites are Shananigans at Brannigans on a Monday, Dry Dock on a Tuesday and Heaven and Hell on Thursdays, they play a variety of music from cheese to R n B and have special drinks offers on these days.
Heaven and Hell is a new club opened in Leeds this year. The original Heaven and Hell was in Blackpool, and like its predecessor the new Heaven and Hell has been hugely successful. The club has three floors: heaven-playing cheese, bar purgatory-playing garage and R n B, and hell-playing hard house and dance music. Student night is on Wednesday, Thursday nights also proved to be really popular this year with many drinks on offer for only £1. Highly recommended to anyone taking a trip to Leeds.
Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Oasis’ most recent album was a massive disappointment. After their three preceding albums, Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, and Be Here Now, it is definitely their worst ever CD. It does not even compare to the other three CDs. However, Noel has managed to bring back some of the old magic in two songs, Sunday Morning Call and Roll it Over. If anybody was thinking of buying it, well here is some advice … DON’T!
I’ve Been Expecting You, Robbie Williams’ second CD as a solo artist is an excellent album. It has the songs She’s the One, Strong, Millenium, and also contains two extra songs which follow after the 12th track, which are an added bonus. It follows the high standards that he set himself in creating Life Thru’ a Lens. He has followed on from this album with another number one hit, Rock DJ. It looks like his new album is going to be a must have for all fans.
The album, Life Thru’ a Lens by Robbie Williams is excellent. It’s highlights include Old Before I Die, One of God’s Better People, Let Me Entertain You, and the epic Angels, which is a truly great song. It has faded into the mist after his latest album, I’ve Been Expecting You. Some of his best work is in this album. His great, meaningful songs and his great voice combine to produce great music. He established himself as a solo artist after Take That with this album.
Nigel Martyn must take over from David Seaman as England number one as soon as possible. He is a much better all round keeper. David Seaman is not nearly as good as he used to be. To be England number one, you must be a good shot stopper and dominant in the air. He is not as dominant in the air, and is also not as good a shot stopper. Nigel Martyn last season proved that he is both dominant in the air, and a great shot stopper. He deserves the Number 1 shirt for England.
England really need to bring in some more young players, as the way they are now, they are going nowhere. After their poor showing in Belgium and Holland in EURO 2000, they must introduce fresh, young blood, as we have a lot of excellent young players. Players like Steven Gerrard, Jonathan Woodgate, Rio Ferdinand, and Joe Cole should be brought at the expense of players like Ince, Adams, and Wise. This is a massive job for Kevin Keegan, but it must be done, and quickly. Otherwise, the England team will not be likely to be successful in forthcoming years.
The Matrix is a truly great film. It stars Keanu Reeves and Lawrence Fishbourne. The special effects are excellent as is the acting. It is the best Science Fiction movie that has been made in a very long time. It is quite complicated and hard to understand at first, but once you understand a bit better, the film improves a lot. I would advise anybody that has not seen it to rent it or buy it now as it is well worth seeing!
