      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Relieves some pain but not as good as expected

~*~*~ Scholl Party Feet Invisible Gel Cushions ~*~*~

High heels, look great but hurt like hell. I must admit I have a very low pain threshold when it comes to wearing heels and this is due to having arthritis in my feet. However, this doesn't stop me going through horrendous pain to wear heels. On a night out if I am not wearing heels I just don't feel dressed up and being a 24 year old girl and all my friends are wearing heels I can feel pretty left out. So the way I have found to combat some of the pain is to wear wedges with a small heel, although I still feel quite a lot of pain when wearing small heels, and wear these Scholl Party Feet Gel Cushions.

      ~*~*~ What Are They? ~*~*~

Scholl Party Feet Invisible Cushions are gel pads which are designed to stick in the inside of your show to help prevent the burning pain in the balls of your feet. They comes in a pack of two, one for each shoe, and they are washable and reusable. The gel pads are clear which make then 'invisible' whilst being worn.

      ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

You can purchase School Party Feet Invisible Gel Cushions from Boots for £3.99.

      ~*~*~ My Thoughts ~*~*~

The first time I saw this gel pads in the shop I thought all my birthdays and Christmas's had come at once. I do suffer a lot when wearing any kind of heel so anything that can help reduce the pain is a definite plus. I do think £3.99 is quite expensive for what they are but because they are reusable I thought I would get my moneys worth.

To use, you simply stick them inside the show wear the balls of your feet sit and then it's time to dance the night away. The good thing about this gel pads are they are incredibly sticky, which means they do not move and they feel very secure. When I first put my feet in the shoes these do feel very comfortable but as the night goes on the comfort does start to wear off. I think these pads are good to a certain extend but they are not as good as I was hoping for. I do still wear this in my shoes regularly because they do help relieve some of the pain which is definitely better than nothing.

Even thought these gel pads are reusable I would recommend keeping them in the shoes because once you have removed them the 'stickiness' does start to wear off.

      ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

Yes, I would recommend this product, they help relieve some discomfort and are easy to apply to the shoes. They are not as great as I thought they were going to be, but then again I was probably hoping for too much. Overall I would give this product 3 out of 5 Dooyoo stars. I don't love them but I do still wear them from time to time.

Comfy trainers which tone your legs without going to the gym

        ~*~*~ Reebok Easytone Reenew ~*~*~

I have arthritis which means I find it difficult to do a lot of exercise, particularly in the winter which is when I am in the most pain. About a year ago I saw these trainers in Sports Direct and not only did they look great but the ideal of also toning up was definitely an added bonus. I have to be careful with footwear as the arthritis is mainly in my feet so I need to think of comfort as well as style when purchasing. I tried on a pair of these trainers and they seems to fit nicely and feel comfortable so I purchased them. Please see below for my thoughts on these trainers...

        ~*~*~ Style/Design ~*~*~

This trainers come in a variety of different colours but the colours I opted for were white and pink. The main colour of the trainer is white and the Reebok logo and the edge of the soles are pink. The upper part of the trainer is made from mesh, which allows airflow through the trainer, and the soles are made from rubber. The trainers are treated with antimicrobial treatment that works to stop odour, they also feature 'Moving Air Technology' that helps strengthen and tone key muscles in the legs. The trainers are lace-up and the ankles are padded for comfort.

The only thing that separates the look of these trainers to any other trainers is the two air pockets which are situated under the heel and under the ball of the foot. The best way of describing the appearance is to say that they look like mini space hoppers, however once you have them on your feet they are unnoticeable. These air pockets are the easy tone feature of the trainer.

        ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

After I purchased these trainers I was very eager to put them on and give them a try. So as soon as I got back from the shop I decided to go on a walk to see what they were like. The first time you walk in these trainers is a very odd experience. It feels as if you are bouncy from the back of your foot to the front and the air pockets not only looked like mini space hoppers they also felt like it too. Once you get over the bounciness the next thing I noticed with these trainers were how comfortable they were. I normally pick trainers based on what they look like, which doesn't all mean they are going to be comfortable but I can safely say that these are one of the most comfortable trainers I have ever worn. My feet also felt very secure and supported.

I was hoping my first impressions of these trainers were going to last the duration of the walk and I am happy to say that going for a walk was such a pleasure that I ended up walking around for 2 hours. This was an achievement as I normally find the joints in my feet to become very stiff and sore after 15 minutes of walking. I have been using these trainers ever since and they are still in good condition and are as comfortable as ever. I wear them nearly everywhere I go and the great thing about the material is that your feet don't get too sweaty, which in turn means that the trainers don't smell.

So the most important question...Do they tone?

Yes they do tone and the reason I know this is because after I go for a walk the next day my calf's are sore (in a good way) and feel like they had a massive work out. After a year of wearing the trainers my legs are getting used to them and the aches are not as bad, just enough for me to know they are still working.

        ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

I purchased my trainers from Sports Direct a year ago for around £40.00, which I thought was a very reasonable price, but after a glance on the net I have found that they are now being sold for £16.00 on Sports Direct on-line (www.sportsdirect.com). They can all be purchased from most sports shops ( i.e. JD sports, Footlocker etc).

        ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

Yes, I would definitely recommend these trainers they are very comfortable and have toned my legs very nicely without stepping a foot in a gym. I was very please paying £40.00 a year ago but now I have seen them for £16.00 I will definitely buying another pair as soon as I have finished my review. They are trendy, durable, secure and comfortable... What else could you ask for? I am going to give these trainers 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars!

A great toaster which doesn't break the bank

        ~*~*~ Sainsbury's Basic 4-Slice Toaster ~*~*~

When it comes to buying new kitchen appliances I normally choose based on the cosmetic look of it, however this normally means paying top whack for the item. I am very rarely allowed out to buy these items as my judgement can be swayed very easily depending on how much pink and glitter is on the item, so buying appliances is down to my other half (I'm a girl, what does he expect?).

About 5 months ago my beloved Breville toaster died and I was in need of a new toaster. My partner and I decided to have a look in our local Sainsbury's and came across this toaster for £9.00. It was one of the cheapest toasters they had and I didn't have high hopes for it. The toaster came in a basic, looking cardboard box (no bells or whistles) and once the toaster was pulled out of the box it was also very basic looking. It is made from white plastic and does look cheaply produced, but as long as it toasts then that's all that really matters.

The toaster is easy to set up, you simply plug it in the wall, put you bread in the toaster and it's cooked within minutes. This toaster can hold four pieces of bread and it also has extra wide slots which means it can hold thick pieces of bread easily. There are 7 settings on this toaster and I find between 4-5 browns the bread nicely, within around 3 or 4 minutes. Overall this toaster was fantastic value for money and works just as well as higher priced toasters.

I would definitely recommend this toaster, for £9.00 it was a bargain. It cooks bread evenly and quickly, which is just what we were looking for. I am going to give this toaster 4 out of 5 Dooyoo Stars. I am dropping a star for the appearance, as it isn't the prettiest thing to look at, but then again it's not like I am taking it out for dinner :).

        Specifications:

        - Dimmensions: 19.3 H x 38.9 W x 16.8cm D
        - Settings: 7 toasting settings
        - Cable Length: 0.71M
        - Wattage: 1350W
        - Number of Slots: 2 Slots
        - Removable crumbs tray
        - Cancel mid-cycle button
        - Frozen bread setting

A great blender which is reasonably priced

          ~*~*~ Kenwood BL460 Blender ~*~*~

I decided to buy this blender about a year ago when I started Slimming World. I am extremely picky with food and I do not like many vegetables or fruits and this is mainly due to the textures. So I thought a blender would be a great idea of upping my fruit and veg intakes without having to physically chew them (I know I am sounding like a toddlers at the moment). It took me a while to decide to buy this blender as I go through phases of buying different gadgets (cross trainer, coffee machine, bread maker etc.) that I only use for a week before the novelty wears off and it is put in my loft never to be seen again. Anyway, I went ahead with my purchase of this blender, please see my thoughts below...

          ~*~*~ Product Design ~*~*~

This blender originally came in a cardboard box, contained in the box was the blender base, jug, lid and instruction manual. To assemble the blender is very easy, you simply twist the jug onto the blender base, place the items you wish to blend in the jug, pop the lid on and away you go.

The base of the blender is made from white plastic and the jug and lid are made from transparent plastic. The overall design of the product is very clear and simplistic. The jug holds 1.6 litres and there are measurement indicators on the front in millilitres (ml). On the front of the blender base is a control knob which controls the speed, of which there are three, and underneath the control knob is a push button which allows the user to make crushed ice.

The blender stands at 40.5 cm high and is 20 cm wide and 17.5 cm deep. The overall weight of the blender is 1.78kg and the motor is 600 watts.

          ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

I purchased my blender from Ebay for around £30.00, which was a bargain.

This blender can be purchased from the following retailers:

          Very - £45.00 (www.very.co.uk)
          Littlewoods - £55.00 (www.littlewoods.co.uk)
          John Lewis - £39.95 (www.johnlewis.co.uk)

(Price as of 06/09/2013, delivery charges may apply)

          ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

As mentioned above, I get bored of gadgets very easily, but for once this is a gadget I can't live without. I am so pleased with this blender, it does exactly what I want it to do and the crushed ice feature is fantastic. I simply chop up my fruit or veg, chuck it in the blender and within seconds its puréed. This blender is very easy to put together, use and clean. The jug and lid are dishwasher friendly, and I use a damp cloth to clean the base.

My favourite things to make with this blender are soups, smoothies and milkshakes (obviously the milkshake is when I want a naughty treat). There is hardly no effort required when using this blender and it is so much easier than trying to purée by hand. The great thing about this blender is since I have purchased it I have lost so much weight and feel much healthier. The ladies at my Slimming World want to know my secret to weight loss, but I'm not telling them (So keep this just between us ;)).

This machine is not only great for people wanting to lose weight but also for trying to get children to have more nutrients in their diets. My cousin, who is 2, will not eat fruit but he will always have one of Sarah's smoothies.

          ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

Yes, I would definitely recommend this blender. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I have tried so many different foods that I never thought I would try and I have become a lot healthier in the process. I think every home should have a blender. If you haven't got one than you don't know what your missing. This can be purchased for around £40.00, which is a very reasonable price when it comes to blenders. Overall I am going to give this blender 5 out of 5 dooyoo stars.

Fantastic earphones with a small price tag!

            ~*~*~ JVC Gummy Earphones ~*~*~

I have lost so many pairs of earphones that I am starting to think that my house has little borrower people living in it. I put them down in one place and never see them again. I have lost at least 10 pairs of Apple earphones in the last couple of years and it is starting to get expensive. I have bought a couple of pairs of so-called, genuine Apple earphones on Ebay but they have been useless. So I have been on a mission to buy a decent pair of earphones at a reasonable price. When it comes to earphones I really don't like the ones which go right inside my ear, so I normal opt for the ones that sit just on the inside of the ear. Please see below for my thoughts on these earphones...

~*~*~ Packaging, Price and Availability ~*~*~

These Gummy earphones come in a transparent, hard, plastic container. On the front of the packaging is the JVC logo and the name of the product 'Gummy'. Because the packaging is transparent the earphones are easily viewable. The earphones are made front a soft, durable silicone. The cable is 1m long and the earphones can be plugged into any device with a 3.5mm stereo socket. The earphones comes in a variety of different colours such as pink, blue, green, white, black and the list goes on.

I purchased my earphones from Tesco's for around £5.00, but they are currently on offer at £4.00 (as of 03/09/2013). These earphones can also be purchased from Asda, Sainsbury's, Ebay and Amazon, for around the same price.

            ~*~*~ My Thoughts ~*~*~

I decided to try these earphones as the packaging was very eye catching and funky looking. The fact that these come in all different colours was also a plus as I choose the pink ones as I knew my brothers or partner probably wouldn't pinch them. I also purchased these because they were the kind of earphone that just rest on the inner part of your ear and don't go all the way in, this was clear to see as the packaging was transparent.

Once I placed the earphones in my ear I found them very comfortable to wear, they also didn't keep dropping out every minute. Once they are placed in the ear they are a snug fit and they feel very secure. I also go running with these earphones in and they always stay put. The cable is of the earphones is a perfect length, not too long and not too short.

Now the most important question... Sound quality!

The sound quality of these earphones is fantastic. The sound is very clear and there is no 'tingy' sound which I have found with other cheap earphones in the past. They also block background noises very well. I think these are just as good, if not better, than Apple earphones.

            ~*~*~ Would I recommend? ~*~*~

Yes I would definitely recommend these earphones, even over the Apple earphones which are much more expensive. Now I have found Gummy earphones I will not be purchasing Apple earphones again. I have had these earphones over a year and they still work perfectly. What else can I say about these earphones apart from that are cheap, funky and excellent! I have to give these earphones 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

A nice smelling product which doesn't live up to the claim

              ~*~*~ Lush Sea Spray ~*~*~

I came across Lush Sea Spray about 6 months ago when my friend dragged me into the Lush shop. To be honest the smell of the Lush shop gives me a headache the minute I walk through the doors. I very rarely go into the Lush shop because of this reason. I do really like Lush products but I do find the scents in the shop overpowering.

However on this particular day, to keep my friend happy, I wandered in to have a browse. I picked up a birthday present for a friend and this Sea Spray for myself. My hair is naturally very thick, long and curly. I do straighten my hair a lot, which can leave it looking flat and dull, so I am always on the look out for something that can add body and volume. Please see below for my thoughts on this product...

              ~*~*~ What is it? ~*~*~

This is Sea Spray by Lush which is designed to give hair 'body, volume and hold'. This spray can be used in a number of different ways. It can be sprayed on to towel dried hair or dry hair to give your hair that 'just been to the beach' look or it can be sprayed onto the hair throughout the day to add shine and fragrance.

The Sea Spray comes in a black, plastic bottle and it has a push-down, spray applicator. To use, you simply remove the cap and spray evenly over hair.

Lush say's that this product is handmade with fresh ingredients:
Carrageenan Extract, Sea Water, Glycerine,Perfume, Fine Sea Salt, *Limonene, *Linalool, PVP,Neroli Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Rosewood Oil,Hydroxycitronellal, Geraniol, *Citral, *Farnesol,*Benzyl Benzoate, Methylparaben

              *occurs naturally in essential oils

              ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

I purchased a 100g bottle of Sea Spray from the Lush shop for £9.95 and it is currently still at this price.

              ~*~*~ My Thoughts ~*~*~

The packaging of the Sea Spray is not fancy in the slightest. It is very plain and simple. The nozzle which is used to apply the product is not fit for purpose and this is because the product is more of a gel than a fine mist. I find that when I spray it directly on top my hair it sticks in blobs to some strands of hair and doesn't distribute evenly. And because of this I spray the gel out into my hands and then rub it in my hair. This leaves my hands very sticky and makes the process quite messy. I think a pump down applicator would have been a better design.

Once I have rubbed the product into dry hair it does give a 'messy' effect but it doesn't give the desired 'wavy', 'just left the beach' look. And overall the results are quite disappointing. The same look can be achieved by adding hair spray. I personally don't like to spray this onto my hair throughout the day because it is messy and a mirror is needed.

The best way to use this product, I find, is by spraying it onto towel-dried hair and letting it dry naturally. This product is very good at make my curls look more defined and it really does hold the curls a lot better than hair spray. This product is probably best suited to people with very straight hair as I would imagine that it adds volume and waves, but because my hair is naturally curly I couldn't guarantee it. The product does leave hair looking shiny, but if too much product is applied this can leave hair looking greasy.

The best thing about this spray is the scent which comes from the neroli and grapefruit oils which are contained in the product. The fragrance is quite strong and I wouldn't recommend mixing this scent with a perfume as the two can clash. If you do not like products which overwhelm your perfume and linger all day then this product is not for you.

Overall this product works well with my natural curls but that is not what I was looking for, as I do normally straighten my hair. I don't like the look of my hair when I add this to my dry hair as it looks like I have just used hair spray. I think this product is expensive for what it is, I have used other Sea Sprays in the past which were a lot cheaper and have done a better job. I think sea water does a much better job than this Sea Spray (although you never really know what is floating around in the sea).

              ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

No, I would not recommend this product as I do not feel very strongly about it. I was unhappy with the results on my dry hair and I do not think it gives a very nice, natural look to hair. I think a can of hair spray would do the same job as this product for a fraction of the cost. Applying the product is sticky and messy, and the applicator was not very well thought out. The only pro's of this product is it held my natural curls well and smelt nice, but this was not the benefits I was looking for from this product. I give Lush Sea Spray 2 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

                A cheap, comfortable air bed

~*~*~ PVC Double Air bed ~*~*~

I can deal with most things life throws at me as long as I get a decent night sleep. I need at least 7 hours sleep not to be a grouchy moo, just ask my partner. So a few months ago the suggestion of camping popped up with my partners family and dread washed threw me straight away. As a child, going camping meant sleep with a duvet on the floor and a sleeping bag, which subsequently meant a very uncomfortable night sleep.

I agreed to go camping on the condition that we buy our own air bed and that it should be a decent one. I set my partner the task of shopping for the air bed whilst I organised all the other bits I would need to bring (it was a very long list). The day of camping arrived and my partner pulled out a medium sized box, which looked cheap, and my heart sank. I asked my partner how much he spent on the air bed and he told me that it was £7.99 from Argos. To say I wasn't happy would be an understatement. Seeing as it was the day we were going camping I had to stop moaning (which was very difficult) and deal with it.

When we got to the camp site it was the men's job to put up the tents, whilst the women dealt with everything else, including bedding. I used an electric pump, which plugged into the cigarette lighting in my car, and the bed inflated within minutes. Once inflated, I sealed the valves and it was ready to go.

The first night of camping I was quite dubious about my first night sleep but as soon as I laid down I was pleasantly surprised. It did not take very long to get comfortable and within a matter of minutes my partner and I were sound asleep. The following morning I woke up to the bed still being fully inflated (I had a dream that it would be flat as a pancake in the morning) and apart from my partner hogging the duvet that night, I had a very comfortable night sleep. The following 4 nights were also incredibly comfortable and overall I was very happy with the air bed.

The measurements of the bed are 23cm H x 193cm L x 142cm W and it weighs 2.7kg. This is big enough for two adults, however the maximum user weight is 200kg. The air bed came in a cardboard box but once you have used the air bed it is incredibly difficult to get it back in. Inside the box was the instructions and a repair kit. The bed is made from PVC, which means it is waterproof and easy to clean.

I would highly recommend this air bed. It is perfect for camping and also if you have guests over. I have used this a couple of times when friends or family come to stay and they have always asked me where I got the bed from. The price of this bed is incredibly cheap and it is extremely good value for money. I am going to give this air bed 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review :o)

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

A lovely handbag which is one of my favourites.

~*~*~*~ River Island Oversized Crossed Body Bag ~*~*~

I love handbags! In 30 years from now I am going to be that little old lady that you see walking around town with ten handbags (hopefully minus the smell of urine). I have so many bags that I buy bags to put my bags in. This is, according to my other half, my worst habit - buying handbags (buying nail varnish is a very close second). I do not discriminate again any handbags, I have bought plenty from Primark, New Look, River Island and I also have a couple of designer handbags, which are my pride and joy. I like most colours and styles, and I do get a real buzz out of buying a new handbag (sad eh?)

I cam across this handbag around a year ago whilst shopping around River Island. I love River Island handbags, so I do try and avoid this shop whilst out and about, but on this particular day I just couldn't help myself. If I recall rightly I think it cost me £28.00, which I thought was an absolute bargain and I just had to have it.

The first thing that caught my eye with this bag was the size and the design. This bag is made from 100% polyurethane, which give it a leather-look effect. The front of the bag has a zip design (a look as if the zips are missing, if you know what I mean?), a zip up pocket which has a tassel attached to it and a brass plaque with the River Island logo etched into it. There are two colours to choose from, black and brown, and unfortunately I could not pick between them, so I purchased both. The lining of the handbag is the same colour as the outside colour of the bag (i.e. black or brown). On the inside of the back is another zip up pocket which is quite small in size, ideal for you phone or loose change.

This is a 'crossed body bag' which means that it sits across your body. The straps are adjustable and can be adjusted to suit different heights perfectly. The size of the bag is 40cm W x 40cm H, which can hold a lot, I have crammed unbelievable amounts of stuff into this bag before. The size of the bag is perfect and sit very nicely on my hip. I have used this bag constantly for over a year and it is still in good condition, it is just starting to look a bit worn (or loved) but it is still usable. This is an ideal casual bag, I take it to work and when I am out and about at the weekend.

Overall this is one of my most loved handbags and I use it probably the most out of all my handbags. Its nice that it has long straps so I am not carrying something in my hand all day, and it sit across my chest comfortably. I have even forgot that I am wearing it something and start looking around for it (I am brunette I swear). I give this bag 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars!

Thank you for taking the time to read my review :o)

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

Volumises hair and leaves it looking lovely!

~*~*~ Tresemme Salon Professional Hot Rollers ~*~*~

I was given this roller set for Christmas last year and I could not wait to use it straight away. I have used many rollers in the past which have never really been worthwhile. My hair is extremely thick, long and curly. I do straighten my hair a lot which can leave hair looking flat and dull, so I was intrigued to try these to see if it would add volume. Please see below for my thoughts on this product...

                    ~*~*~ Packaging and Design ~*~*~

The hot rollers came in a black, cardboard box. On the front of the box is the Tresemme logo, the products name (Salon Professional Hot Rollers) and a picture of the product. The design of the box is black and pink which gives it a very girlie feel. Included in the box is the heating pod, 5 rollers, 5 clips, 5 pins and an instruction manual. The heating pod is lightweight and measures at 15.2 x 15.2 x 7cm.

The pod is made from black plastic and the lid is made from transparent plastic. The rollers are quite large, pink in colour and made from plastic. The part of the roller which your hair goes round is made from a soft, velvet material. The clips are made from plastic and the pins are made from metals. Both the clips and pins are large enough to hold the rollers.

To heat the rollers you simply pop the rollers inside the heating pod, switch on the pod and wait for around 20 minutes for them to heat. There are spots on the heaters which turn white once they have reached the correct temperature.

                    ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

The rollers are extremely easy to use, I take one section of my hair at a time and wind the hair around the roller and clip it into place with the clips/pins provided. I usually place two rollers either side of my head and one at the back of my head. I leave them in for around 30 minutes and then remove.
Overall the process of putting the rollers in to removing them takes around 35-40 minutes. The machine takes around 20 minutes to heat , so I normally switch it on before I get in a shower.

                    ~*~*~ The Final Look ~*~*~*

After I have removed the rollers my hair looks volumised and bouncy. The rollers give a lot of body and shine to the hair. After use, hair looks healthier and less dull. I actually prefer this look to dead, straight hair.

                    ~*~*~ Pro's ~*~*~

Apart from making hair look gorgeous, the pod is very easy to use and is compact enough to store in my cupboard. I also think £25.00 for this pod is an extremely good price for the results which it produces.

Once the rollers are clipped in the hair they feel secure and they sit comfortably on my head. The other great thing about the rollers is the material which they are made from. I have used rollers in the past which are made from a Velcro kind-of-material and when it comes to removing them I normally take chunks of hair out with them.

                    ~*~*~ Con's ~*~*~

The holes in, which the rollers sit to heat, do not hold the rollers very well which I think then adds onto the time in which it takes to heat them. Once they are placed in the holes they do wobble about a bit and I think a more snug fit would have been a better design.

Another con with this product is the amount of time it takes for the rollers to heat, 20 minutes is a long time if you are in a rush. The final flaw which I found with this product is there are only 5 rollers. I think that this unit would benefit from having another 3 or 4 rollers. I have, in the past, used one set of rollers and then had to heat them all over again to add more volume to my hair.

                    ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

My rollers were purchased from Boots last year for around £20.00, however I am not sure if they are being stocked at the moment. I have seen them being sold on Ebay and Amazon for about £25.00.

                    ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

Yes I would recommend these rollers, they leave hair looking shiny and full of life. The volume these rollers add is amazing. There is some effort involved, which is mainly waiting around, but it is worth it. I would have preferred more roller, but for £20.00 I can't really complain. Overall I am going to give this product 4 out of 5 Dooyoo Stars.

A fantastic hair dryer which won't break the bank

~*~*~ Toni & Guy Daily Conditioning Dryer ~*~*~

When it comes to hair dryers I normally choose one which is a good make, has a long cord, dries hair quickly and isn't too heavy. My dear hair dryer, which lasted for years, sadly passed away recently and went to hair dryer heaven. So on my quest for a new hair dryer I found the options endless, every hair dryer offering better results than the next and in the end I was at my wits end. How to pick a hair dryer when they all sound amazing? In the end I decided to go for this Toni & Guy hair dryer. I know that they are a reputable brand and I have used some of their products in the past, which were very good quality. The thing about this hair dryer which lured me to it was the fact that it claimed to hydrate hair and reduce frizz. My hair is thick and curly, so anything that helps to reduce frizz is a definite plus. Please see below for my thoughts on this product...

~*~*~ Packaging and Product Details ~*~*~

The hair dryer comes in a white, cardboard box. On the front of the box is the Toni & Guy logo, a picture of the hair dryer and the products name (Daily Conditioning Dryer). The packaging looks very sophisticated and expensive.

Inside the box is the hair dryer, attachment concentrator nozzle and an instruction manual/warning booklet. The hair dryer is lightweight (only weighing 0.655kg) which makes it comfortable to hold. The dimensions of the hair dryer are: 27cm H x 22cm W x 8.5xcm D. The hair dryer is a reasonable size, not too big and not too small.

The hair dryer has two rocker switches which control the temperature and the speed. There are two speed settings and two heat settings: Medium/Fast and Medium Heat/Hot Heat. There is also a 'Cool Shot' button situated on the stem of the hair dryer. The motor on this hair dryer packs a punch with 2000W of power.

Overall the design of the hair dryer is plain and simple. The hair dryer and nozzle are made from shiny, black plastic. And the Toni & Guy logo is clearly displayed along the side of the hair dryer in white writing.

This hair dryer comes with a 2 year manufacturers guarantee.

                      ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

I purchased this hair dryer around three months ago from Tesco's for £13.00. It is currently out of stock in Tesco's but you can also purchase it from Asda for £18.00 or Argos for £21.99.

                      ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

This hair dryer turned out to be idea for what I needed. My hair is long and thick and takes quite a long time to dry with most hair dryers. I found this hair dryer to be very powerful making the drying time take around 8-10minutes, which I was extremely pleased with. I normally use the lowest heat and the fasted speed to dry my hair, however if I am in a rush I will put it on the hottest setting. The only problem I find with the hottest setting is under my very long and heavy hair it can get incredibly hot. This is where I find the 'cool shot' to come in very useful. I know a lot of people think the 'cool shot' feature is pointless, but I find it very handy when I need to cool my neck and face down.

The cord is a fantastic 3m long, which is incredibly useful as my power socket is quite far away from my mirror, so I can actually see what I am doing. The other great thing about this hair dryer is it is lightweight which means I don't end up with a dead arm after I have dried my hair. There is nothing worse than trying to hold a really heavy hair dryer over your head for 10 minutes (or is it just me being a weakling?).

Did it hydrate and reduce frizz? ...Yes it did to a point. I don't think any hair dryer is particularly hydrating but I would say my hair did look a lot less frizzy. I have used other hair dryers in the past which have dried my hair out and this one seems to be kind to hair.

Overall I was extremely impressed with this hair dryer and for £13.00 it was an absolute bargain!

                      ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

Yes! I would definitely recommend this hair dryer. It is not too chunky or heavy; it dries hair quickly and leaves hair looking less frizzy. I think for £13.00 you can't go wrong. I was quite shocked that a Toni & Guy hair dryer would only cost such a small amount. I am going to give this hair dryer 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars. It is one of my favourite hair dryers and I am just hoping it can withstand the test of time.

A great shaver which is cheap!

~*~*~ Gillette Spa Breeze Razor ~*~*~

Shaving is one of the most boring and time consuming job us ladies have to do. The only good thing about shaving is the different shaving sticks there are to choose from. I would say Gillette is the biggest brand for ladies shavers and they have a large variety to choose from. I purchased this shaver as I stepped on my last Gillette razor and snapped the stick part (luckily there was a towel covering it so I didn't hurt myself). I did battle on and try and shave just using the head but this was too tricky. Eventually, after being a hairy girl for around two weeks, I replaced it with this shaver. Please see below for my thoughts on this razor....

~*~*~ Packaging, Price and Availability ~*~*~

This shaver comes in a plastic container, which is unbreakable (just opening the package is a task by itself, let alone shaving afterwards). On the front of the packaging is the Gillette logo, the products name (Spa Breeze), what's included in the container (1 razor, 2 cartridges with shave gel bars), the scent of the shave gel bars (White Tea) and a 'scratch and sniff' sticky so you can smell the scent before you buy it. The stick and the shaving gel bars are a baby pink colour, very girlie. There are three blades on the shaving head and the shaving bars (which are connected to the head) are flexible making it easy to contour to the shape of your body. The shaving head clips on and pops off the head incredibly easy. There is also a plastic holder with a suction pad included in the box, which is handy as the shaver can be hung on the wall.

This shaver can be purchased from Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets. I purchased my shaver from Superdrug, where it was on a half price offer, for £4.97.

                        ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

This shaver, like all Gilette shavers, is great. I really like the shaving bars, which are connected to the head, as it means I don't need to use shaving cream. I wasn't expecting the shaving bars to last very long but I was pleasantly surprised. I use the shaver 3 times a week and the shaving bar/head lasts for around 4-6 weeks, which I think is quite good. I also really like the scent, which is flowery and girlie.

This shaver does an extremely close shave, which means I don't need to shave as often. After shaving my legs they feel smooth and sleek. The shaving bars are hydrating and leave my legs/under arms smelling great. The great thing about Gilette shavers is you can use any Gilette Venus heads on the stick, so if you don't like the shave bars you can replace it for a different head.

                        ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

I would definitely recommend this shaver, especially when it is on the half price offer which is an absolute bargain. It does a close shave and no shaving gel is needed. I have never cut my legs or underarms when using this shaver. Overall I am going to give this shaver 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars. It is one of my favourites and I will be purchasing more cartridges.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review :o)

                        Disadvantages

My favourite trainers which are durable and look great

~*~*~ Converse All Star Trainers ~*~*~

Converse are my favourite trainers at the moment (or sneakers as the Americans would say). I have three pairs of high tops and two pairs of low top Converses. At school at lot of the 'skater' kids would wear Converses, but they have been more popular recently with all ages and social groups. I decided to buy a pair because I saw that they were popular and I also liked the style. I have arthritis in my feet which can make them swell and I found Converses to be quite wide allowing for my feel to sit in them comfortably.

                        ~*~*~ Trainer Style ~*~*~

Converses are a plimsole-like trainer, with durable rubber soles. They are hard wearing and last for a very long time. I have had my Converses for over 12 months and they are still in great condition and I have worn them frequently. The best thing about Converse trainers are the designs. I have a black pair and a white pair which are quite plain but look great with everything. I also have a couple of pairs which are really colourful and in your face. As mentioned above, I have arthritis and I find Converses extremely comfortable. I do a lot of walking in them and I never find that my feet get overly hot or sweaty.

The difference between high top and low top Converses is the height of trainer, specifically where they lace up to. The low top trainers end at the ankle and the high tops go slightly up the shin. High top Converses look amazing with leggings or skinny jeans and low top Converses can be worn with nearly anything.

Converse trainers come with white laces and there is a certain way to lace up Converses (I would love to be able to explain how to do this but I don't think it would make much sense) which you can find on YouTube. Overall Converses are extremely trendy and youthful.

When it comes to cleaning my Converses I usually use a baby wipe for the rubber parts, which are around the bottom of the trainer and on the toes. I have only needed to give my white pair a good clean and I have put them in the washing machine on a 30 wash, in a pillow case, and they have come out really well and virtually looked brand new.

                        ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

You can purchase Converses from most shoe retailers, such as Schuh and Office, for around £45.00 (depending on size and styles).

                        ~*~*~ My Thoughts ~*~*~

I love Converses and I am a bit obsessed with buying them. Every time I go into a shoe shop I want a new pair of Converses. I would recommend them as a comfortable, trendy trainer, which are durable and last really well. I think they are fantastic for all ages ( your never too old for Converses, my 60 year old dad even wears them) and look great with most outfits. I give this trainers 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

                          Advantages

                          Disadvantages

A great lip balm which protects and moisturises lips.

~*~*~ Vaseline Lip Therapy Sun Protection ~*~*~

I started using this Vaseline after burning my lips quite badly on holiday. I stupidly used lip balm which did not contain any sun protection and as a result of this my lips got severely burnt. After this (sore) lesson I decided that I would try and find a product that would leave my lips feeling moisturised but also contain sun protection. Vaseline is the go-to-product when it comes to my lips, so when I spotted that they manufacturer a lip balm with sun protection I did not hesitate to purchase it. Please see my thoughts on this product below...

                          ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

I purchased this Vaseline around a year ago and it cost me around £2.00 from Boots. Unfortunately it does not look like it is available from Boots or Superdrug any more, however I have spotted it on Ebay and Amazon for around the £2.50 mark.

                          ~*~*~ Packaging ~*~*~

The lip balm comes in a standard Vaseline tin. It is circular and small which means it doesn't take up much room in your handbag or pocket. The front of the tin is white and orange in colour.
The details on the front of the tin are:
                          - The Vaseline logo
                          - Petroleum Jelly
                          - Pocket Size
                          - Lip Therapy SPF 15 Sun Protection.

To access the lip balm, you simply unscrew the lid. As with all Vaseline tins, there is no applicator provided and you simply dab the product on with your finger.

                          ~*~*~ My Thoughts ~*~*~

I love Vaseline, pocket-sized, tins of lip balm. They have come in very handy and last for an extremely long time. Before I purchased this product I knew what I was getting as I have always rated Vaseline products very highly.

The balm is transparent and has quite a greasy feel to it. Once I have applied the Vaseline to my lips they feel immediately soothed, although still slightly greasy. The Vaseline stays on the lips for a very long time and only needs to be re-applied 3 to 4 times a day, depending on how sore your lips are. I usually use Vaseline as a prevention rather than a cure. This means just before I go on holiday I make sure I use plenty on my lips because I know they dry out easily and in the winter I usually start applying lip balm in October.

There is no real fragrance or colouring to this lip balm. I have tasted it before and it was particularly nice, the only way I can describe it is a 'waxy' taste. This is probably a good thing because I have been known to eat my tasty lip balms before.

Overall I think this lip balm protects my lips very well and keeps them moisturised throughout the day. The only negative I have with the design is if there was an applicator provided it would make it a lot less messy. I would like to see this product in a squeezable tube.

                          ~*~*~ Would I Recommend? ~*~*~

I would definitely recommend this product, Vaseline is a good quality lip balm. I have had my Vaseline (with sun protection) for over a year now and it is still going strong. It is perfect for holiday or the great British summer to protect lips. I would not recommend using clear glosses or lip balms without protection on a sunny day (trust me, I learnt the hard way!). I am going to give this product 4 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

                          My favourite shower gel

~*~*~ Gillette Satin Care Pure & Delicate Shaving Gel ~*~*~

I love Gillette products, especially their shaving gels and this particular one (Satin Care) is my favourite. The gel comes in a white metal can with a push down applicator. There is also a plastic lid which covers the dispenser. On the front of the can is the brands logo (Gillette), the products name (Satin Care Pure and Delicate), what it is (shaving gel) and also that the product is derrmatologically tested and dye and fragrance free. This shaving gel is specially designed for sensitive skin, which is an added bonus as shaving can sometime irritate legs and under arms.

                          ~*~*~ Price and Availability ~*~*~

You can purchase this shaving gel from Boots for £3.49 for a 200ml can. I have also purchased this shaving gel from Sainsbury's and Tesco's for around the same price.

                          ~*~*~ In Use ~*~*~

To use, you simply press down on the dispenser and smooth gel over wet legs/underarms.

When you press down on the dispenser you are initially presented with a thick gel, which quickly turns in to a white foam, when mixed with water. Once the foam is applied to the skin it smothers it with ease as the foam is extremely thick and fluffy. Even thought the product is fragrance free there is a slight fresh, clean smell to it which is very pleasant.

When I start shaving I find that my shaver glides through the foam with ease. And because the foam is so thick you can easily see where you have shaved. I have used shavers in the past which have had the soap included in the shaver head and I always found it difficult to keep track on where I had previously shaved, making it take double the time. Shaving with this gel is easy and hassle-free. It is kind to skin and helps to prevent cuts.

After shaving my legs they are left feeling incredibly smooth. On the back of the tin it states that this gel, 'Leaves your skin feeling soft and satiny smooth each time you shave', and I completely agree with this. It is one of the most luxurious and creamy gel I have ever used. Another great thing about this gel is that a little goes a long way. It can be a little tricky to push out the right amount and the top of the nozzle does get a bit messy but this is common for most shaving gels.

I find this gel to be somewhat hydrating and moisturising, however I still need to use a moisturiser/body butter after use. I have psoriasis and this shaving gel does not irritate my skin at all.

                          ~*~*~ Would I Recommend ~*~*~

I would definitely recommend this shaving gel. It is gentle on sensitive skin and helps to protect against cuts. I find this shaving gel to be great value for money, one tin normally lasts me for 3 or 4 months. I have no negative comments to make about this product, as I have never has a problem with it. Overall I am going to give this product 5 out of 5 Dooyoo Stars.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review :o)

                          Disadvantages

A fantastic bleacher which boosted my confidence

                          ~*~*~* Jolen Creme Bleach ~*~*~*

                          ~*~*~* What Is It ~*~*~
This is a bleaching product to lighten dark hair. It can be used on different areas of the body, including upper lip, chin, tummy etc. The product comes in a green cardboard box. On the front of the box, in white writing, is the products name (Jolen Creme Bleach), what it does (lightens excess dark hair) and how much product is enclosed (creme 30ml, accelerator 7g). Inside the box is two pots: one is the cream and the other is the accelerator powder. There is also a spatula, tray and instruction booklet enclosed.

                          ~*~*~* How To Use ~*~*~*
As directed in the instruction manual, you should carry out a patch test before using this product to make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients.

Before using the cream you should wash the area you wish to bleach with cold soapy water. Then measure 1/4 tea-spoon of powder onto the tray and then add 1/2 tea-spoon of the cream. Mix the two together well and apply to the area with the spatula provided. Leave product on the area for 10 minutes and rinse well.

Although it states in the instruction to leave for 10 minutes, I normally leave for 15 minutes as the hair is not always light enough after ten minutes.

                          ~*~*~* Why Did I Purchase This? ~*~*~*
I decided to purchase this product as I have very dark hair and I was very paranoid about a dark patch above my upper lip. I had been quite self-conscience about this for a while before deciding to try a product. I definitely did not want to wax the area as I know this stimulates growth so I thought I would go for something a little less permanent and painful.

I came across this product in my local Sainsbury's supermarket. I hadn't heard of the brand before but because it was relatively cheap I thought I would give it ago.

                          ~*~*~* In Use ~*~*~*
As mentioned above I use this product on my upper lip. It is extremely easy to use and the instructions are very clear and concise. When I first used the product I was a little nervous, I had visions of the hair turning a different colour, like blue or red, and I really didn't like the thought of then having to remove the hair. I followed the instructions and thankfully it came out really well. I was actually shocked and overwhelmed at how much better it looked, and how much more confident I felt.

The bleach lasts for around 3-4 weeks before I need to reapply. You can tell when it is time to reapply as you can see dark roots growing through. I normally throw the bleaching cream and accelerator away after 6-8 months as it starts to dry up.

                          ~*~*~* Price And Availability ~*~*~*~
You can purchase this product from Boots for £10.29 for 100ml or £4.49 for 30ml. I have also purchased this from Sainsbury's and Tesco's for around the same price.

                          ~*~*~* My Thoughts ~*~*~
Overall I was very pleased with my purchase. It has made me feel a lot better about myself and I am feeling less self conscience about the dark hair on my face. I think this really is a miracle cream and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the same position as me. If you are worried or upset about dark patches of hair then please try this product. It is amazing how such a small thing can make such a big difference.

I have fairly sensitive skin (I also have psoriasis) and I have never had any problems with this cream. It is very easy to use and only needs to be applied once every 3-4 weeks. The entire process of mixing the cream, applying, leaving it to take to the hair and rinsing the cream off only takes around 20 minutes.

I am going to give this product 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review :o)
