Road wars is where a camera follows the Thames Valley police on everyday situations watching them deal with crime.
I love watching this show it I stay awake till late in the morning watching it. Ive seen most of them and will watch them even if they are repeats. It is very entertaining and will see many funny moments. Also you will see just how much crime goes on and what goes on in the streets, you will be surpised some of the things which are shown. During the show you will see clips from crime in America just to show you what happens over there.
Alot of the time you will mainly see them stopping cars for having no insurance or road tax. Other times you will see them stopping cars for drugs. You will see many chases within the show as the suspects never want to pull over.
If you love police shows then you will definitely like this. This is the kind of show you can watch all night. It is also a good way to learn how the police do their job and the way they spot criminals and the way they approach them.
Poundland is a nationwide shop which sells everything for £1. It is a very popular shop and I like going in them just to have a look. You will always see good stuff in there, you will see items which will go for double in supermarkets and corner shops. They sell many things for example, drinks, chocolates, sweets, toiletries, paper....
You can make some great savings and is a good way to save funds. Some cheap things I have seen for jsu £1 are, 5 packs of wrigles chewing gum, robinsons ssquash, 4 cans of drinks. They also sell DVDs, they may not be the best films ever but you can complain for £1.
The more places I go the more I see Poundlands and the less I see other little pound shops, which im not surpised because Ive been into other pound shops and they sell nothing that good except for a few odds and bits. Ive even been into some which sells watches for £5.
One thing that is annoying is how busy the shops get, youre always getting squashed and knocked and then waiting in the long line of que.
Inconclusion Poundland is the best pound shop there is and one of the best shops there is when buying little bits and bobs.
Paypal.com is a site which allows you to tranfer money to other people and businesses and also recieve.
I use Palpal as a way of buying things of Ebay because it is the most safest way. If you buy something but the seller doesnt send you the item then PayPal will out the money back into your account. Also if you sell something then people can pay it straight to you Paypal account which makes it alot easier.
There are other sites aswel which you can buy things of Ebay, if you dont like giving out your card details then you can deposit money into your Paypal account then simpily just pay by Paypal so you can purchase things knowing you are safe.
At first you are limited to a certain amount of money you can take out each month which I think is about £500 but you can verify yourself to increase this but I never go over.
In conclusion I think Paypal is a very secure site and is an easy payment method. If you are thinking about making an Ebay account then I stronly recommend you get yourself an account.
Futurama first hit our screens in 1999 and is created by tge genuis Matt Groening, the same person who created The Simpsons. Its about a delivery boy called Fry who goes to delivers a pizza on new years eve 1999, when he gets to the place he finds out that no one is there so he sits down on a chair in this room with this freezing capsule behind him, he starts rocking on his chair but falls back and lands inside the capsule. He is unfrozen in the year 3000 where are aliens walking about and flying cars. He then meets up with the other characters which are Leela, Beurocrat, Bender, Amy, and doctor Zoidberg. They all work for a delivery company known as Planet Express run by Frys great (repeated about 40 times) nephew Professor Farnsworth.
The crew go on many adventures delivery items but always manage to get into trouble and rough rides. There is alot of humour in this cartoon and makes me laugh alot.
It came to a point where Futurama was no longer made but still showed the episodes but became boring when yourve watched them a dozen times but luckily they have started making them again and I am looking forward to see what other crazy adventures they get into.
Futurama is one of my favourite animation and I recommend you watch it if you are into funny animations.
Family Guy is an hilarius American animation which is created by Seth Macfarlane who also does some of the characters voices. Family Guy was canceled by Fox in 2001 but since there was a big rate in DVD sales and and popularity, it was renwed in 2004.
The show evolves around a family called The Griffins. These are:
Peter Griffin: He is probally the main and most funny character. He is an over weight man who is the dad in the show. He comes up with stupid ideas and does very funny things.
Stewie: Stewie is the baby in the family. He has high intelligence and has the ability to talk even though he is just one year old. He always try to kill Louis his mum aswel as trying to take over the world.
Meg: Meg is the teenage daughter. She always has fun taken out of her, and is always made out she is some boy, especially by her dad. She tries to fit in with the cool people at school.
Chris: Chris is a younger version of his dad Peter, well not quite as stupid. He doesnt like his weight and always gets him down.
Brian: Brian is an intelligent talking dog who always has a soft spot for Louis.
If you ever get to watch family you will get to see just how funny it is and the jokes are well though out.
Yahoo is one of the biggest search engines but probally has the most extras than any other search engine. Yahoo was founded in January 1994 by Jerry Yang and David Filo, since then its become more and more bigger, it even held the words largest market share for online display advertising.
When you onto their homepage you will see if full with many images and writing. In the middle of the page is current news that is going on. Going down the left hand side of the page there is a list of all their extra features which they offer. This includes one of my favourites and most used which is Yahoo mail. You can store how many emails you want because it never gets full, I never get any spam unlike other email service I use which really annoys me because I have to spend a while deleting them all. Other features include horroscopes, sport and weather. I did use to play their games alot aswel such as pool and you play other people in real life but dont have much time any more.
When using the search engine, it always come back with good results which are relevant to what you want. Also as you are typing in the box it predicts what you want which makes the whole searching process a whole lot easier.
In conclusion Yahoo is a very good website and a great search engine. Try them out and see what you think
Everyone should know who Argos are by now, they have to be one of the most popular retailers there are.
Argos are different compared to other stores, you go in, look through their catalogues which they have all over their stores, you find the product which you want, each product will have their own number which you then write the number down on a bit of paper which are provided next to the catalgues and the quanity, you then take the paper to the till and pay for the item, you are then given a reciept which your numebr on, you take this to the collectio point where they will have your item ready within a couple of minuets.
You dont get to see the item before you purchase it so you dont get to know what it is like until you have ordered it but if you arent completely satisfied then you can get a refund anyway. Argos are good with refunds and exchanges. I bought a sat nav 4 months ago but just suddenly broke so I took it back which they tried to send off for it to get repaired but since their computer wasnt working they just replaced it with a brand new one. Normally you have 30 days to take an item back if you arent satisfied with it.
They bring out different catalgues throughout the year which you can take home to have a look. I love looking through their catalgues because they have such good prices and items which I have never seen before. They will be the cheapest catalgue prices you will ever find.
One thing that is annoying is when it is busy mainly around Christmas you are standing around for ages waiting for a catalgue to look in and the ques can get very long making waiting time a long process.
In conclusion Argos is an excellent store and you should really give them a try.
When you go onto HMV.co.uk you will see that they have used to HMV colours which are used in their stores.
This site is easy to navigate because going across the top of the page are different categories such as DVD, blue ray, games and music. They also have the same categories going down the page on the left hand side but I dont know why if they are already at the top of the page.
In the centerof the page they advertise their special offers such as chart zone CDs from £3.99 or DVDs from £2.99. This makes bargain hunting a whole deal easier and quicker. Also it allows you to find the best deals without you having to look for them which could result in you missing some out.
If you click on one of the categories such as games it will take you to a new page where a new category will show down the left hand side which allows you to select what platform you want such as PS3. In the center of the page shows their special offers for games.
Their prices arent the cheapest out of all the online shops but they are cheaper than the HMV stores. I think that HMV shouldnt open any more stores but try and concentrate more on the online market.
Halfords is a shop will deals with car accessories and push bikes. If you have ever been in a Halfords store you would know that they have a good range of different car bits such as stereos, alloys and sound systems. I went in there because I wanted to buy a new CD player for my car, I took one look at the prices and walked away. They were selling names such as sony for far too much, I didnt car what the CD player did i wasnt prepared to pay their prices. I then saw one for £40 but it was some no name which I thought was a rip off because I can get ones such as JVC for around that price of the internet, so I left the store empty handed.
They could get more accessories which are good names but are in peoples price range and want just basic models of things. Espcially in this certain climax.
I went there about 12 weeks after because my bike needed a new derailleur link and I went to the bike section and they pulled out this bag with different spare parts for bikes, the link which I needed was just a few centimeters long and was very light and they charged me £17 for it. My friend and I couldnt believe it because we was only expecting it to be around £3-5 max but needed it there and then so that the only reason I paid their price.
their store is set out ok so its easy to find what you are looking for and their staff do ask if you need any help so i guess thats maybe one and the only positive.
In conclusion I think their store is way over priced and I wont be in any hurry to go back there.
HMV is a nationwide retail store which specialies in selling music and DVDs.
A few years ago before I use to shop online I use to visit HMV stores to buy music from especially vinyls for my decks but they stopped selling the vinyls completely which was a big dissapointment as the only other place I could buy them was online as wasnt old enough to have the debit card which allowed me to purchase from the internet.
As time went on and I started to get into internet shopping I realised just how expensive their prices were as they were selling CDs for £15 which I could get off online for half that price.
One thing I do like about HMV is the amount of DVDS which they have in stock. If they dont sell the DVD then it must no exist. They organise their DVDs into alphabetically order and into categories such as horror and comedy which makes what you are looking for very easy to find.
They do sells games for consoles like the Wii and PS3 but they are just too expensive not just compared online but also compared to stores such as gamestation so I avoid buying from here.
HMV do good prices when items are in sale, ive picked up some good DVDs for around £2-3 before and they do sometimes have DVDs in deals such as 3 for £20.
In conclusion I think that you can save alot more money shopping online compared to shopping in their stores but worth a look for any deals,
Google Earth is a cleverly designed programme which you can download to your computer from Googles website. The programme allows you to see a satellite view from nearly anywhere in the world.
There are many features within this programme. If you want to find where a certain location is you can either write the name of the place or put the postcode in and it will zoom to that location. If you want to know how to get to that location from where you are you click the tab called 'directions' and then you put your location in and then put the place where you want to go and it will tell you the exact route how to get there, how many miles away and how long it will take you to get there. This has become very handy to me in the past and managed to not get me lost.
If you found a certain location and you dont want to lose where it is then you can put a mark there in the form of a drawing pin and name the location to what ever you want it to be so then you will never lose it on the map.
If you are looking at a certain area then there is a time bar which you can change the date and it will show you what it looked like at that certain time which I think is very clever.
In conclusion this is a very good programme and is very handy when trying to find a place. Also this is all free.
Spongebob is an hilaroius cartoon based on a yellow sponge called spongebob. Spongebob lives under the sea in his pineapple house.
Spongebob has a neighbour called Squidward who he also works with. Spongebob will do anything to annoy Squidward but doesnt even know he is doing it. Squidward likes to play the clarinet and also paint pictures and create art even though he is not good at either.
Spongebob has a best friend called Patrick who is a star fish who has no intelligence. You will find Spongebob and Patrick having lots of adventures.
Spongebob works at a place called The Krusty Krab which is a fast food resturant. Their specialty is their Krust Krab burgers known as the Krabby Patty which is Spongebob job to make these and Squidward works as the casier. Their boss Mr Krabs who is as tight with money as anything has an enemy called Plankton who is after the Krabby Patty formula so he can sell them at his restraunt due to it being unsuccessful.
This is mainly a childrens cartoon but if you watch it you will realise that there are alot of adult humour which little children wouldnt understand and it just makes you laugh.
In conclusion this is a very funny cartoon, dont knock it until you have watched it.
Myspace is a social network. This was the first social network I signed up to and at the time was the best there was but no it doesnt seem to be no where was as popular as it use to be. I dont use Myspace nowhere near as I did and probally check it about 1-2 times a month now. I think this is due to everyone moving to Facebook, but Myspace seems to have tried copying facebook with the online chat box and the live newsfeed.
A good thing about facebook is the ability to change your layout and background images which no other social network lets you do. You do this by putting a html code in. I use to create my own but then used premade HTML codes as its much quicker and easier.
I always get random people adding me and sending me spam messages which I never get on facebook, and this has become very annoying but since I hardly go on it any more I just ignore it.
In conclusion Myspace is nowhere near as popular as it use to be and Facebook has over took it.
WH Smith is a well known shop which is like a giant newsagents. They deal in selling a vast range of magazines including sports, gaming, photography, you name it WH Smith will sell it. If you go to the magazine section you will see people covering the whole stand reading through the magazines which can be quite frustrating if youre trying to get to a certain one.
They also deal in educational books such as revision books, different language dictionaries, lanuage tapes and so on. I never use to buy anything from here when I was at school as the school would sell them on for the price which they bough them for which was £2 and WH Smith was selling them at £4.50
I use to go into WH Smith alot but since shopping online I dont because if I need any thing I can get it cheaper online. The stores itself are pretty big inside but I dont ever see the shopping majorly packed any way.
Some of the WH Smith stores have a canteen, I went to have a look at it one time and then walked away because the prices were just too expensive.
Inconclusion, WH Smith is only good if youre willing to pay their prices or need something very quick otherwise see if you can get what you want online for cheaper.
Out of all the sports shops in my area, Sports direct is the only one I buy from due to their prices being so cheap.
There is a big sports direct where im from with 2 stories. I do find when I go into these shops I feel abit cramped as there is hardly anywhere to move. The whole shops is organised well as you have all the childrens clothes together all the Adults clothes together and any sprting goods such as footballs and football boots on the second floor.
You can always find clothes well within your price range. I managed to buy Umbro t shirts for £1.50, Umbro track suits for £6. They all have clothing such as nike trackies for £15 which is an excellent price compared to the other sports shops which sell them for around £40. You will find many items which tags on them say things like 70% off and so on.
The last two times it took ages to find a member of staff for some help which became very annoying so they should have more staff on the floors.
In conclusion Sports Direct is the best sports shop for me, but they could improve on customer service.
