I have had the Purple LG Ku990 for the last 3 weeks, I got it as a replacement for my 6300. I was skeptical at first as I have only ever used nokias but I am really impressed with this phone. Its technical and gadgety enought to keep me amused but simple to work which stops you wanting to throw it across the room as some phones do.
Design: The design is sleek, shiney and furturistic, the display screen is a great size, I feel that the quality of the screen is optimised when using the Black theme an this shows off the menu graphics and screen resoluition.
Features: Touch screen, this is a great feature, the only problem is some times it is to sensitive and doesnt realise wat you are trying to acheive. 5 mega pixel camera is excelent, the zoom is brilliant and the aditional features really enhance the phone.
Sound: The external speaker is great, great sound quality for playing music or loud speaker but I have found a bit of diffiulty when on calls, either i'm stuggling to hear or the person i'm speaking to has difficulty hearing me
This phone can sometimes be difficult to use, my sister bought one but it was too technical for her and sometimes my boyfriend struggles with it. I must admit it does take a little getting used to.
There is also a slight problem with the autolock, it doesnt matter what you are doing at the time if you leave your phone for a certain amount of time the phone will lock, this is most annoying if you are on a call especially if it is an IVR system when you have to push option 1 ect
The battery life is a bit poor, you'll also find that you only get one warning before the battery dies which isnt very usefull. there is also only 300 spaces for messages compared to the 6300 which has 3000.
Overall I really like this phone and I look forward to upgrading to the LG Secret as this is the 'new viewty'. Well done LG you tempted me to the dark side
New Look is the only place I shop as I have unusual dimentions, I am 21 years old and I'm 5'1" with the body of a 13 year old girl! I have to wear kids size clothes and as you can imagine it is quite embarassing to walk into a shop and head for the childrens section then to be greated with pink jumpers, flowers and butterflys!
In new look I use the area called Generation which doesnt make me feels so bad about buying it, it clothes arent perticularly 'Kiddie' looking and the prices are great.
At the moment I'm wearing an age 13 jeans, age 11 tank top and an age 13 jumper all bought from New Look's Generation section and it cost me around £30 for the lot, I am really impressed I can find clothes which are a perfect fit, look great and are really affordable, this is why I only shop in New Look
I live off lucozade, Its probably not good for me in the quantities I drink but too much of any thing is bad for you so I'll deal with it.
I have a problem with my sugar levels and they are prone to drop suddenly so I carry a bottle around with me at all times to prevent any mishaps. It is a cure that works within a few minutes of an incedent happening.
I enjoy the veriety of flavours such as, Origional, Orange, Tropical and Berry but I'm not too keen on Lemon or Apple. As the drink is carbonated but the bubbles seem to be smaller than other fizzy drinks it makes it easier to drink and not too harsh on a delecate tummy like mine.
I find it quite funny that I am at work at the moment with a bottle of lucozade on my desk! Its tropicals turn today and I'm really enjoying its cool releif in this hot office
I have been using this product for the last year and I wont use anything else now, It does what it says on the tin! The colour enhancers pick out your hairs natural highlights and add viberancy it also stops blonde hair looking brassy or greenish tinted from chlorine.
This product has a great fragrance and if you dont get a chance to wash you hair for a day or two it still leaves your hair smelling and looking fresh.
It leaves my hair soft, managable and strong and within a week or two you can really see the results, I started using this product at the begining of summer and the combination of the shampoo plus conditioner plus natural sun light had a great effect.
I definatly recommend this product used with the shampoo but I would advise to use the colour match for your own hair for the best results as I picked up the wrong one by accident and it didnt work as well.
The only down side I see to this product is that it is highly priced but I suppose you get what you pay for and I only slighly grudge paying the price for it
Interesting fact Vista is Latvian for chicken and if you are a chicken vista is great for you!
With Vista you are wrapped in cotton wool, there is no way you can go wrong with the Operating system and if you are not a confident PC user it will keep you out of trouble. I am I regular user of IT and I find that it is quite restricting, there are alot of products and programs which are not compatible and it is quite frustrating that you are asked everything a few times before it will complete commands you give it or when you are trying to install devices or programs.
Once you switch off alot of the security devices it is quite good to use, the graphic and icons are flashy and pretty, windows appear to hover on the desktop with 3D shading. The desk top gadgets are pretty good, I have a calender, clock and images from my picture folder. As a whole it is pretty good for amature users and is guarenteed to keep you safe but can be frustrating for more advanced users
I love this perfum, it has a personality all of its own! Its quirky, sweet and fun!
I love wearing it as I think it suits me brilliantly, I'm a fun loving person and this perfume smells like sweeties! It reminds me of strawberry sherbit and has a tendancy to make you hungry. It certainly gets alot of attention and its unmistakable, when I came into work this morning a girl sitting a few desks from me is wearing it. I think it is really attictive as well, the first time I caught a wiff of it my friend was wearing it and I got a spray on my jumper, I spent all day with my jumper to my nose and was quite annoyed when I put it in the wash!
In my opionion I think this perfume only suits a select amount of people and this is a younger group or people with quirky personalitys, it is very feminin and is definatly not a unisex fragrance
My Partner and I recently decided that we were going to go on holiday together, we had recently sold our flat and free's up some money and agreed we deserved a break. We wanted a last minute deal and to go pretty soon so we went to the local high street which has a First Choice, Thomsons and Thomas Cook.
First Choice was our first choice and we went in to talk to an agent, much to my dissapointment the girl we spoke to was a little distant and abrubt. I like to joke and chat with people, even if I'm in a que because I'm quite a friendly person but she wasn't "up for it" When we sat down, my partner and I were having a playful arguement about where we were looking to go and as I sat I asked if we could have "divorse insurance" and I never got so much as a snigger. To me this was a bad start as I like what the scots call "banter"
We gave her the information, general area, whats importand to us and the dates when we would like to go and she abruptly said "you've left it a bit late havent you" another strike with me! We persisted on though, she couldnt find anything that suited us on one system so she asked if we wanted her to try the other system, we replied that we did and we got a bored sigh as a reply!!
After a few moments searching she found a holiday which seemed ok but was a little over our budget and we wanted to have a look in the other travel agents before making a decition. She then said "I'll book that for you now then" both me and scott were both quite shocked at her bullying we told her we wanted to have a look around and she replied "this wont be here when you come back" Needless to say we didnt go back!
We booked our holiday at a great price with a lovely agent in Thomas Cook and we are away in 17 days
This is am amazing book I read a few years ago, it had me hooked from the begining and I have read it numberous times, it was this book that opened my eyes to Jodi Picoult as a writter and since reading "My Sisters Keeper" I have read all of her books.
The writer tells the story through a number of characters and sometimes repeats the same event firstly with one character telling there version of events then in the next chapter switching to another character to tell the story from there perspective.
The main plot in the story is about a family trying to save the life of there oldest daughter but "creating" a second child as a perfect donor but as the second child Anna grows up she makes a decition to free herself by means of medical emansipation to stop her being "spare parts" for her sister. The story follows the familys journey through this tough time with twists and turns through out.
As a seperate plot we also see into the life of Anna's Lawyer and "the one that got away" the woman appointed the role or Anna's guardian.
I am not an emotional person but when I reached the end of this book a cold wave went through me, the goose bumps rose and the tears welled, I have never been moved like that by a book. I loaned this book to my sister and I remember her sitting in the back seat of our mums car and she burst into tears, I turned to her and said "I guess you're at the end then"
I started on these vitamin suppliments a few months ago and they have made a great difference, you do have to wait a week or 2 to see the difference so please don't look for instant results.
I suffer from a number of ailments and this was recommended to me by a neutrisionist and it has improved my life in general. I suffer from mood swings, SADS, Depression, headaches and random bouts of nausia and when I started to take these my health improved, by no means is it a replacement for a vairied diet but with a diet that is restricted as much as mine it really helped.
Increasing my levels of Vitamin D dramatically helps my mood. I came off the vitamins a few weeks ago as I was moving home and with everything else going on I forgot to take them, now my moods are unpredictable and and I feel like my old self again. After realising what was missing I popped back down to my local boots and stocked up again, I hope I have the same sucess as I had the first time
I have a milk alergy which means I miss out on calcium, but unfortunity the centrum does not help me with this, this is the only negitive I can see with the product other than the size of the tablet its self
Sky+ is brill! I couldnt be without it now! My partner and I have recently moved in together and we bought an HD TV so we got the HD Sky box so that means even more recording time! I have an unpredictable life so I set up all my favourites i.e CSI, House, Holby City, Greys Anatomy... on series link, this means I never miss an eposode and I can wawtch it when I like at the touch of a button.
Another useful thing I've found out is that if i'm watching a program/film and I suddenly think "oh my boyfriend/mum/sister would want to see this" it doesnt matter if i'm half way through all I have to do is hit the record button and it records from when I went onto that program or film, no searching for tapes or dvd's and no complex procedures for recording.
The pause and rewind facility's are great too, if someone comes to the door in the middle of an exciting bit in a program I can either rewind to find out what I missed or pause until the distraction is over
I purchased this phone 11 months ago and I love it, its tough and durable and perfect for me as I am prone to dropping my mobiles. The screen quality exceeds its time with a 16 million colour screen, amazing quality and clarity. Its clever and technical enought to keep a techno geek like me amused but it is simple to use so very effective. I was so impressed with the ease of use I bought one for my mums birthday last month and she loves it too.
The only real problem I can find with it is that if you are a heavy texter like myself you have to ensure you empty the messages out quite often as I found that although it can hold thousands of text messages it has now been sent away 3 times as there were problems with the soft ware. If you use a security lock (you have to enter a code to unlock the phone) and you have a lot of texts it will freeze and refuse to unlock and you then lose all you text when it gets sent away.
Even with this in mind I still love this phone and it will be a while before I find one good enough to replace it, I'm quite happy to put up with the little glitches as the benifits out weigh the problems
