      The Price
      =======

      I purchased this Lens for approx £100 a few years ago. It is available from Amazon for the lower price of £77, which is a great price in my opinion. Jessops.com has it for sale at £85, and there are few available to buy from eBay from prices starting from £50.

      My Experience
      ===========

      Although this a cheaper option compared to others on the market, I decided to get it a go, as I had read many good reviews about this lens. The cheapness of the lens is somewhat reflected by its build, which consists of a mostly plastic design coloured in the usual black finish.

      It is lightweight and easy to hold, which is a plus for me as it makes it easer to attach to my camera and carry around in my camera case and bag. The more expensive ones would be more heavier and therefore more sturdy and durable, however this one is slightly more fragile and would need a litte more care when handling.

      The fragile aspect of the design continues to the manual focus button located on the outskirts of the lens, having to use this manual focus function frequently makes it quite annoying, as the button can be quite stiff at times and if you put a little but off pressure on it, it does make me worry that it will end up breaking off or damaging the lens itself.

      The plastic area at the front of the lens also feels very fragile and there has been instances when the plastic felt like it was going to pop off or come apart, thankfully this is yet to happen but I feel it is only a matter of time before it does. I have had this Canon Lens for approx one year, and I only use it on special occasions, however I feel it might last me a few more months before falling apart.

      The Auto focus function produces clear images and pictures have a great sharpness to them that really shows off the quality of the lens. however the auto focus can be quite noisy when operated. The motor is also quite noisy, which gives off a buzzing sound when in use, it can be slightly annoying but something I can bare. The quality of pictures is great even at F1.8, making the images excellent for canvas pictures etc, which makes the negatives worth dealing with in my opinion.

      Conclusion
      ==========

      Although the design is on the fragile side, I find the quality of pictures and the low price makes this lens more than worth it. Therefore I would recommend this lens and give it a rating of 4/5 losing a rating for the slightly cheap construction and fragile build.

      I purchased this Eyelash Curler from my nearest Boots store for approx £6. It is also available to buy from Beautybay.com priced at £6.50 including shipping costs and Esentual website has it for sale at £6.90 plus £1.95 postage.

      Details
      ========

      * Comes with 6 Spare Pads

      * In Sleek Black with Red rubber handles for easy grip

      * Rounded cushioned pads to produce a perfect curl

      * No crimping of the Lash

      * No damage to the Lash

      My Experience
      ==============

      When I saw this eyelash curler in Boots I was instantly attracted to the design and colouring scheme of the item. It has a nice red and black colour scheme with the red colour outlining the finger handles slots and the eye lash curler pads. It looked stylish and well made so I went ahead and purchased it.

      It is easy to use and very easy to hold thanks that well designed finger holds which are a good size to allow my fingers to grip comfortably. It comes with 6 curling pads which are all in snazzy red colours! Each pad is good size and has decent width to provide cushioning while curling.

      To use simply position them onto the bottom of your eyelids and ensure that the lashes are inserted between the red pad and upper curler and then just use the mechanism to curl the lashes. The curlers were easy to glide enabling control over the curling and no uncomfortable tugging or pulling of the lashes. Instead it literally glides and provides support and protection for the lashes by the padded protections. The pads that attach to curlers are easy to fix into place, and with time they do need replacing. However each pad lasts a good while so that's not something to worry about.

      The results are great, after only a few seconds my eye lashes were perfectly curled and only needed one attempt per eye to produce the curls. This is brilliant as the last thing I need to do is have to keep attempting to curl the eye lashes as this will eventually damage and pull those precious strands out.

      Conclusion
      =========

      Overall I am very happy with these eyelash curlers and would recommend them, as they are affordable, easy to use and are very good quality so they wont break easily. They do the trick for me, so what more could I ask for! 5/5 rating

      I usually buy a 4 pack from Asda for £8.00, but is actually cheaper at the moment to buy it from Tesco for £6.90. Boots are selling a pack of 4 blades for £7.79 and a pack of 8 blades for £13.99. Superdrug have the 4 pack for sale at £7.49 and don't seem to sell the pack of 8 on their website. It is also worth looking on eBay as well, as you maybe able to buy a bulk and it would work out cheaper than buying in store.

      My Experience
      ============

      I usually buy a pack of 4 blades and it will last me a good few months, which is really great in my opinion, as I can continue to use my old Venus razor which I have had for 7 years. This works out cheaper than buying a new razor every month, and I find the standards of the blades very good. Each blade is wrapped separately in a small hard plastic packaging and are all positioned inside the Venus box neatly. Just simply peal away the sticky cover and the individual blade is revealed.

      The blade heads have a nice curvy design, which makes gripping onto them when fixing them onto a razor a lot easier. I also found that the curved head and the fitting mechanism to work just as well when removing the blade heads when it is time for replacing, as simple click into place to fix or a simple pull to remove. This design makes it safe to handle, which can be a bit scary dealing with such sharp blades, but thankfully these are easy and safe to handle.

      The blades are blue in colour and have a light blue layer of padding to provide cushioning when shaving; this is really good for delicate skin like mine, as it enable the blades to glide across my skin without too much irritation. The blades also have a thin blue dry soap layer, which becomes soapy when wetted with water. The razor head has three blades which are sharp enough to cut through thick or thin hair thickness. I found that after a months use the blades sharpness would weaken and therefore I would require a few more stokes to remove thicker hair and a bit more pressure to do the job. The blades when new however manage to shave really well, my hair on my legs and under arms are very easy to shave and are done within minutes. I do use some soap first to ensure my skin is nice and soft before use, just to reduce the risk of skin irritation.

      Although like with most blades and shavers I do find that after use my skin does get slightly irritated and itchy, but I think that is more due to my extra sensitive skin. After a day it is fine, as long as I apply moisturisers etc.

      Conclusion
      ==========

      Overall I would recommend these Venus blades, as they are effectively sharp, well packaged and designed, and last a long time. It can also be purchased reasonably cheap if bought in bulk via eBay.

      I purchased this Beko DWD5412 Dishwasher from Argos a few years ago for approx £220, which at the time seemed like a reasonable price. Argos are no longer selling this model, and Amazon have also discontinued the model. eBay have one for sale at £67, however it is in used condition. Appliance World are selling the Beko DWD5412 model for £250. I would suggest keeping a look out on auction websites to see if there are any refurbished deals available.

      ~*~*~*~* The Size and Installation ~*~*~*~*

      The dishwasher has a silver metallic finish and measures approx 85 cm in height, 60 cm wide, and 60 cm in depth. The size was perfect for fitting into the available space in our kitchen, and was easy enough to fit into place and attach to an outside water pipe.

      ~*~*~* Energy Efficient ~*~*~*~

      The reason for opting for this dishwasher was for three main reasons; one being that it graded A in energy efficiency and drying efficiency meaning it wouldn't add much to my energy bill. The second reason was that I wanted one that was reliable, and being a Beko branded appliance I knew I would get many years of use from this dishwasher due to it being a highly reputable manufacturer. The third was I wanted a reasonably priced dishwasher and therefore this ticked all the boxes.

      ~*~*~*~ Loading the Dishwasher ~*~*~*~

      The dishwasher is very sturdy and is built well, there is more than enough room inside the dishwasher compartments for a number of dishes, plates, glasses and cutlery. The trays inside are sturdy and strong enough to hold a number of items, The trays are easy to extend and push back in, which made it very easy to fill up the dishwasher without having to reach and crawl into the dishwasher to add more items! The great thing about this is that the inner trays and compartments can be rearranged to accommodate different sized items, so you should easily find a place for those big dishes that couldn't fit in the previous dishwasher.

      ~*~*~*~ Settings and Controls ~*~*~*~~

      The dishwasher has a total of 5 different settings to choose from, and to be honest I just stick to the standard settings which consist of loading the unit and selecting the energy A setting that washes the contents very well, managing to remove even the stubborn stains and residue. The settings are all clearly labelled along with 4 different temperature settings which consist of few dials and easy to distinguish controls. Occasionally I do opt for the quick 30 minute quick clean option, depending on how many items I have to wash, if it is just a few glasses and plates etc that need more of rinse sort of wash then this setting does the job. Taking approx 30 minutes to complete the quick wash option means I can get on with cleaning the dining table and kitchen worktops, and within that time the dishes will be done and can get the annoying unloading the dishes job done sooner rather than later.

      ~*~*~*~*~ The Cleaning ~*~*~*~*~

      The results are great, we have loaded the dishwasher with many dishes with stubborn residue that would take ages to clean by hand and the dishwasher manages to clean all dishes, plates, cutlery and glasses with ease and excellently well. It also does depend on the type of dishwasher tablets used, but all in all I haven't had any issues where I've had to rewash anything by hand due to the dishwasher not washing items properly.

      ~*~*~*~*~ Is it Noisy? ~*~*~*~*~

      The Beko Dishwasher has a slight drawback and that being the noise that it makes during operation. It is quite noisy for a dishwasher to be honest, although it doesn't drown out the conversations we have in the kitchen, it still makes us have to raise our voice slightly at times to be heard. The noise isn't a huge issue for me, as I find it isn't that bad that we have to put the TV louder (lounge is next to the kitchen), it is just a mild annoyance.

      ==========
      Conclusion
      ==========

      Overall I am very happy with this Beko Dishwasher, as it is easy to setup and use thanks to clearly labelled buttons and has vast number of settings to chose from. The dishwasher holds more than enough room for a number of dishes etc and most importantly the results are great and it is a very energy efficient appliance. Therefore I rate this dishwasher a great 5/5.

      The Price
      ~~~~~~~~
      I purchased mine a good few years ago from Tesco for approx £170. It is currently available to buy from Littlewoods for £249, but they offer a payment plan to spread the cost out. Unfortunately I can't find it for sale on Argos, Tesco, Amazon etc as they are state the product is no longer available. eBay have one or two for sale starting from £100 but mostly are in used or refurbished condition.
      * Spin speed of 1000rpm
      * maximum wash load of 5kg
      ~~~~~~~~~~~
      My Experience
      ~~~~~~~~~~~
      I wanted to buy an affordable washing machine that basically did the job, I didn't need an expensive one with too features and options etc, just a simple washing machine that washed clothes! Therefore I was quite pleased with the price, as most washing machines at the time cost over £200.
      ~*~*~*~ The Size ~*~*~*~
      The washing machine has a white glossy finish and is a reasonable size, it is slightly smaller than our older one but looks pretty much the size of most modern washing machines. Fits easily into our kitchen utility gap and of course requires connection to an outside water pipe. My partner fitted it in, but the delivery men helped move it into the kitchen using a special mobility trolley, as it quite heavy to lift and carry even short distances (weighs approx 70 kg).
      The weight wasn't too heavy that the washing machine couldn't be pushed into the gap or pushed out, as it does have four sturdy feet to enable easier movement and not to cause damage to the flooring. I didn't take to long for my partner to fit it, I can't exactly remember how long, but I do remember it being a fairly straight forward job.
      ~*~*~*~ The Washing Powder Compartment ~*~*~*~
      The washing powder is inserted into the top compartment drawer and is easy to pull out, my old one had a slightly flimsy draw and felt like it might actually fall out a couple of times, this one however is sturdy and well designed with a slot for the washing powder and conditioner etc.
      ~*~*~*~ The Load Capacity ~*~*~*~
      The Beko washing machine has a 5kg load capacity, which is more than enough for mine and my partner clothes and more if we have any future kiddies on the way! Its easy to load, simple open up the circular washing machine door which has a large obvious handle located on the right side of the door. Easy to open, and just load the inner metal drum area with your dirty laundry and click the door shut.
      ~*~*~*~ Some Of The Washing Options ~*~*~*~
      There are few options available for washing, including a quick 30 minute wash which is basically suited for clothes that are only slightly dirty and need a bit of rinse or freshening up. This is a great feature and is very handy and economic if your in a rush and need a few shirts or tops freshened up. It does literally take 30 minutes for the quick wash, and washes out mild dirt and freshens up clothes and fabrics well.
      There are 16 different setting to use, which I was quite surprised to find. To be honest many of which I don't actually use, as I tend to just use the simple functions. I use the wool fabric settings which is easily done via the turing dial after choosing the temperature etc. The machine washes wool, synthetics, delicates etc and gives an option for the machine to 'hand wash' the delicates! There is a light that shows up next to the cycle stage the machine is currently at so you know what stage the wash is on and how long left. All 6 buttons on the right along with the dial and cycle wheel are all clearly labelled and easy to understand.
      ~*~*~*~ Washing Time & Noise ~*~*~*~
      The standard wash takes approx 2 hours to complete, which is a reasonable amount of time. It does so surprisingly quietly, you can only hear a slight rumbling noise during operation, but otherwise its nice and quite. This is the biggest bonus for us, as our old washing machine was incredibly loud, and meant sleeping in and early nights were a little bit of an issue. Thankfully I can put a load in at any time without having to worry about the noise disturbing sleep. Another plus is that we can actually have an audible conversation in the kitchen now, while before the washing machine was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk in the kitchen!
      The results are great; with the 1000 spin speed the clothes are washed and cleaned with a C grade for spin efficiency. It has a grade A energy efficiency so I can save on the electricity bills and be more economical in the process.
      ~~~~~~~~
      Conclusion
      ~~~~~~~~
      Overall this is a great washing machine that is priced reasonable while still offering a wide range of washing options. It isn't noisy during operation and is very easy to install and use, and therefore overall I would rate this a top 5/5.
        I purchased this for my granddad as he frequently stays over at our house during the holidays etc. Having problems with his hearing, sight and sometimes memory, I decided it would be a good idea to purchase one of these BT Big Number 200 Telephones for his room for when he comes to stay.
        The Telephone is very easy to use and easier to set up; my granddad finds it very easy to understand and has aided his sight and hearing issues considerably. The large blue dial buttons make it very easy for those that are visually impaired to recognise numbers and to dial without any problems and the headset is also comfortable to hold and grip onto without it feeling like it might slip out of the hand.
        I have also used this telephone occasionally when I am upstairs and it is the nearest telephone to where I am and have found that the sound quality to be excellent. The volume is a little high as my granddad has it set to loud when he is staying over, so when I do answer it I do have to adjust the volume, which is easy and quick to do. The volume buttons are located under the dial buttons and have clear symbols and text for recognition.
        The telephone sits in place well, as we have it positioned on the side table next to a bed and there hasn't been any occasions where it falls or slides off the table, which is probably due the large rubber feet positioned on the underside of the base. The cord is also a reasonable length, my granddad and I can easily stretch the cord to a comfortable distance without it yanking the telephone to the floor. This is particularly handy for my granddad as he can still lie in bed while on the phone without having to move the telephone base.
        The phone has a range of other handy features such as redial, quick dial and 1571 quick dial buttons. Making it fast and easy to call someone back or hear voice messages left on the phone. It also has a handy 13 phone number memory buttons, making it easy for my granddad to dial the most important phone numbers easily.
        The hands free feature can be activated by simply pressing the large hands free labelled button located at the bottom, this allows answering of calls more promptly and communication via the telephone receiver. This feature makes the high volume settings very useful as when my granddad uses the hands free mode he has to increase the volume so he can hear the speaker more clearly.
        There are three ringtones to choose from, as well as being compatible with hearing aids and an inductive coupler. There is a speaker option allowing others in the same room to take part in the conversation. It also has a light indicator which flashes when there is a message or incoming call.
        =========
        Conclusion
        =========
        Overall this is a great BT telephone that has aided my granddad a lot when answering and making calls when he stays over. It is very easy to use, all buttons are large enough and clearly labelled to identify and the range of features come in very handy and not just for my granddad either! I would give this a great 5/5 as it is well designed and priced very reasonably.
          I purchased the Vax S2 Hard floor cleaner for approx £60 from Argos. However Argos are no longer selling the floor cleaner, instead it is available to buy from other well known online and high street stores such as from Amazon for £49, Tesco for £75, and from John Lewis for £49.99.
          ===========
          Specifications
          ===========
          * The Vax Steam Mop S2 cleans hard floors and refreshes carpets
          * Hygienic cleaning without detergent
          * Provides 20 minutes steam time so you refill less often
          * Ships in certified frustration-free packaging
          * Free 2 year UK Vax warranty for complete peace of mind
          ============
          The Design
          ============
          The Vax S2 steam floor cleaner has a modern looking design, with its white coloured finish and blue coloured frame to the body. It has a triangle shaped cleaning head that has the Vax name printed on the surface. It has a white coloured plastic handle that consists of a black coloured grip and the metal pole is adjustable to height. It has a blue coloured water tank and removable cleaning pads.
          ===========
          My Experience
          ===========
          I needed a hard floor steam cleaner for our kitchen floor tiles and the laminated flooring in our hall way, and when I saw it was priced reasonably and from a branded name such as Vax I decided it was the one for us!
          ~~~~~ Included In The Box ~~~~~

          It came well packaged along with a measuring jug for filling up the water tank, a carpet glider for refreshing carpets, and a microfiber cleaning pad along with an instructional manual.

          ~~~~~ Assembling ~~~~~
          It was easy to assemble and get using, the triangle floor cleaner head just needed to be screwed onto the lower body and done so with the screws provided. The handle also needs to be attached to the metal rail and to the body, along with the water tank which is very simple and straightforward to insert. The instruction manual was very easy to follow and main the assembling process very fast.
          ~~~~ Put To The Test ~~~~

          Once assembled I use the measuring jug to measure the water accurately and pour the water into the water tank attached to the body. Once the cleaner is plugged in and the power switched on I was surprised at how fast the appliance heated up and was ready to use, as it took only about a half a minute for the water tank to heat the water and the appliance ready for steam cleaning which is indicated by a red light display.

          The Vax steam floor cleaner is also very lightweight and therefore makes its so much easier to glide over the kitchen tiles and laminate flooring in our house. As our kitchen is a big size, using our old mop and bucket to clean the flooring used to take hours, and the constant dipping and draining off water in the bucket made it a tiring job. Thankfully this Vax cleaner manages to clean the kitchen flooring quickly and a lot easily, just simply glide over the flooring allowing the steam from the cleaner to polish the floors. If there is stubborn dirt or stains then there is a higher steam option that does wonders in such cases, and a very useful option to have available when needed.

          It has a good steam output, meaning quicker cleaning, but not too much steam that it over heats the room and steams up the windows! The higher steam settings obviously cleans flooring a lot quicker than the normal settings, but it also uses more water, therefore I only use it when there are those hard to remove muddy stains. Water tanks lasts approx 30 minutes and therefore doesn't need refilling in-between cleaning.

          ~~~~ Changing Cleaning Pads & Floor Drying Time ~~~~
          The pads can be changed easily depending on the flooring being cleaned, for example the carpet glider would have to be attached when using on carpet flooring. I find that the pads can be washed by hand and then reused reducing costs of repurchasing cleaning pads. I rarely use it on carpets and just stick to using it on hard flooring, so I can't really comment on the results on carpet. After use I find that the flooring dries considerably fast, almost within minutes of finishing, the flooring is fully dry.
          As it is lightweight and compact in size, it is very easy to move up and down the stairs when needed and it also to store away. The small triangle shaped cleaning head allows cleaning in tight corners and spaces and makes for a very versatile cleaning appliance.
          =========
          Conclusion
          ==========
          Overall I am very happy with this Vax steam cleaner, as it is simple to setup and use, and cleans flooring very well. It is also reasonably priced and therefore makes this Vax S2 Steam floor cleaner a recommended buy.
            The Price
            ~~~~~~~~

            I purchased this Garnier Eye Roll on for approx £10 from my nearest Boots store. Boots are still currently selling the Garnier eye roll on for £10. It is also available to buy from Superdrug but at a slightly higher price of £10.49, Amazon has it for sale at £7.90, but they are currently low on stock according to their website. Lloydspharmacy.com have it priced at £7.94, Allbeauty.com £7.90, and eBay have a few on sale from £6.

            ~~~~~~~~~
            What is it for?
            ~~~~~~~~~

            It is designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles, and bags under the eyes. It aims to refresh the skin around the eyes using the caffeine extract and B5 vitamin to moisture the skin.

            ~~~~~~~~~~
            My Experience
            ~~~~~~~~~~

            The Garnier Eye Roll on is a long thin lime green coloured tube which has a unique curved like shape to its body. It has a white plastic lid that screws on and off the top, which when removed reveals a white coloured roll on ball that allows the application of the contents.

            ~~~~~~~~
            How to Use
            ~~~~~~~~

            Simply unscrew the transparent plastic lid and gently grasp the body of the tube with your hand. The roll on ball is small in size but once you start applying the moisturiser onto the bags and dark circles under your eyes in a circular motion the small ball actually allows a good amount of coverage for the small area under the eyes. The roll on ball is also very smooth and therefore feels nice as it massages into the skin gently, this is very important as the skin under the eyes are delegate and therefore the smooth roll on balls have been designed well.

            The body of the tube is curved allowing good grip and control over the application of the liquid, as the last thing you need is to lose grip and it to smudge into the eye! The roll on ball dispenses a clear liquid that isn't too runny or too thick, instead has nice consistency to ensure easy application.

            ~~~~~~~~
            The Results
            ~~~~~~~~~

            I do suffer from frequent black bags and dark circles under my eyes and thought it was worth trying this product to help relieve the appearance of such problems. Once applying the roll on liquid I felt it was nice and gentle and cooling on my skin, however I didn't notice the bags and dark circles disappearing much. There was a slight change in colour so the under eye circles weren't as dark as before, however nothing that really made much of a difference.

            The main positive I experienced from using this roll on product was that once applied it makes my under eye skin feel slightly more refreshed and actually makes my eyes feel more alert and awake, which is especially useful after a hard days work and you need something to make you feel slightly more refreshed, and reduce the heavy eye feeling when sleepy. This for me is big advantage, as I tend to feel tired a lot quicker than the average person and having this caffeine and B5 cool roll on has been very handy.

            ~~~~~~~~
            Conclusion
            ~~~~~~~~

            Overall this Gariner Eye Roll on doesn't make much difference in the appearance of dark circles and under eye bags, but does make the skin feel more refreshed and as a result in my experience made my eyes feel less tired and more awake. However the £10 price tag does seem too much for this product considering it doesn't make a huge difference for me in terms of bags and dark circles, therefore I would only really buy this if it was priced £5-6 or on offer and as a result would rate this 3/5.

              I received this Pure Digital One DAB Radio as a gift from a close work colleague, after my previous Pure Digital Radio stopped working. I was quite attached to my digital radio, especially at work so when it broke my friend at work was extremely kind to buy me a replacement one as a nice birthday surprise.

              Looking at the prices online I found that Tesco are selling the Pure Digital One DAB Radio for £81.80, John Lewis have it for sale for £64, and Amazon are selling it for £59.99. It is widely available to buy from most well known high street and online electrical store such as Argos, Curry's, Homebase etc with prices ranging from £60-75.

              ==========

              The Digital Radio has a glossy black finish, but it is also available to in a white colour and a pink colour. The radio has a nice small rectangular shaped design with curved edges. It appears modern and stylish with its simple, yet effective style; it has the Pure Digital name printed on the front in white colour texts which stands out well against the black glossy background. The speakers are located on the front right hand side of the radio, which is illustrated by small holes to allow output of sound. The Aerial is folded into the top small long compartment and can be pulled out and extended when needed. There is a small digital display screen located on the front next to the speaker, as well as control buttons and a tuning knob. The buttons and the aerial have a silver chrome finish.

              **********************
              The Size & Weight
              **********************
              The Digital Radio measures approx 7.2 cm in depth, 21 cm in length and 14.5 cm in height. This is a nice compact size to sit on my work desk comfortably without taking up much room. It is also small enough to fit into a handbag or any other medium sized bag so I can easily transport this from work to home when needed, plus as it only weighs 1.2 kg it isn't too heavy to carry around and is extremely portable in my opinion, which is great for me as I like to use it at work and at home during the weekends/holidays.

              *******************
              DAB & FM Radio
              *******************

              It features both FM and DAB radio, which is brilliant as while I'm filling out paper work at the office I like to listen to my usual radio 1 station and alternate to DAB as well. The number of stations available on DAB is vast and there is always some sort of station to add some atmosphere a boring office environment. It can be operated via the supplied power plug which you just simply insert into an available mains socket, or alternatively use 6 C batteries. I personally opt for using the mains power as it eats through batteries faster than I eat a box of chocolates (which is fast!). A charge pack is available to buy separately so you can use a rechargeable battery and use it where ever you want without being constricted to using it near mains power. I don't see the need for this personally, as it can cost approx £30 just for the charge pack.

              ***************
              Setting It Up
              ***************

              It is simple and fast to set up, once the power button is switched on which is located at the front, the radio automatically scans through digital stations for you, and already has quite a few popular ones stored. It does this fast, so there is no waiting around for more than a minute. It can store 30 stations, which is a good number of available slots for even a avid radio fan like me. The control buttons are easy to work out, the turning knob passes through stations, and the other sliver buttons scattered around are self explanatory and include volume buttons, present, stations, menu, source, pause/play/rewind button, and power button. All these buttons require a combination of pressing the desired button and then using the turning knob to adjust.

              *************************************
              Some of the key controls/features
              *************************************

              The pause and rewind feature is a handy feature that enables me to rewind back to a good song (up to 15 minutes rewind), or pause during my favourite DJ session while I answer a phone call. This works well and as expected, however to be honest I rarely use it. It also enables adjustment of bass and tremble as well as volume sound settings, which does add extra sound quality when listening to your favourite songs. The volume is quite high even at very low settings, so I have to really set the volume nearly to 0 when answering calls etc. The speaker quality is great and probably explains why even low volumes can be heard surprisingly well.

              ***************************************
              The Digital Display & Sound Quality
              ***************************************

              The small digital screen displays the battery level, reception bars, and time. It displays information clearly, as well as radio station details etc. Quite useful to know what radio station is playing or what time it is and saves me from having to keep checking the office clock. The aerial works well for FM radio stations and allows me to listen to my favourite radio station (radio 1) without interference etc, and produces clear and crisp sound. The digital stations do sound clearer and more better quality as they are transmitted digitally, and again no interference or trouble listening to the popular stations.

              ==========
              Conclusion
              ==========

              Overall a great DAB radio that is easy to use, simple and fast to set up and compact in size. I would say that it is a quite expensive for what it is, but if you are a radio lover like me that the price won't seem too much of an issue. Therefore I would rate this a 4/5 losing a rating for the price.

                The Design
                =========

                The watch is mainly available in black colour, however there are some places that sell this watch is a range of colours including yellow, orange, and pink, however they do tend to be slightly more expensive than the plain black one. I have the black coloured version, which I got from my partner after constantly borrowing his when I wanted to go swimming, so he decided it was time he got me my very own one! Considering the cheap price now, I don't feel as bad for forcing him to buy me one.

                It is a digital watch that consists of a plain almost retro design with a black plastic wrist trap and blue frame surrounding its small digital screen. It displays the date, time, has a stop watch, and an alarm feature which are all controlled via the three metal buttons located on the side of the watch screen. It also has a back light feature and is 50 meter water resistant.

                ============
                My Experience
                ============

                The watch is not something that I wear on a night out or even when I am out and about as it does look pretty unfashionable and boring with its classic black retro design, this is when the other available colours might come in handy for the fashion conscious minded like myself! I do wear this occasionally in the house as it is cheap and comfortable to wear thanks to the thin yet durable plastic wrist strap. I however do find that during hot weather conditions I have to take this off or else I end up getting a rash and sweaty wrists. Other than that however it is comfortable to wear in cool conditions and I also wear this during the occasional swim. This is the main reason for using this as I used to be a frequent swimmer and this being 50 meter water resistant meant it was ideal for shallow swimming, however I do not go swimming as much now so I don't wear it as often as I did.

                It worked excellently when wearing it during my shallow swimming sessions; it kept true to the word at being water resistant and kept on working throughout the swimming sessions. It is easy to use and very simple to navigate through the functions, and just requires a tap of the metal side buttons to activate.

                The time can be set in either 12 hour or 24 hour format, so it caters for either preference. I personally prefer the 24 hour format, but my partner prefers the 12 hour format. The screen is big enough to allow the time and date to be viewed clearly as they are displayed in a black bold digital format. There is an Am and PM indicator on the left making it easy to distinguish between the morning and evening times, and would be very useful for younger kids who have trouble with the distinction. It also displays the day and date, for example 'Sa' is Saturday and 'Fr' is Friday, which is pretty much self explanatory really. The time is displayed with the hour, minutes and seconds clearly visible.

                The Alarm symbol is displayed on the top left of the screen, so it allows me know whether the alarm function is set to on or off. The alarm feature works great, I have only used it occasionally, but when I have used the feature the alarm goes off when specified and does so with a beeping sound. The beeping alarm isn't too loud that it becomes annoying; instead it acts as an effective wake up call when needed and is loud enough to hear.

                =========
                Conclusion
                =========

                Overall this is a good simple watch that has some useful features, and is simple and easy to use. It is also reasonably priced and therefore is worth the money in my opinion, and even more ideal for younger kids who find times hard to read on a clock face watch. I would therefore give this watch a 4/5 losing one mark for the rash that I get when wearing this in hot sweaty conditions.

Amazon is also selling the facial soothing oil but at a lower price of £10.46 and offer a one time delivery of the facial oil every three months. http://www.naturisimo.com has it for sale at £13.01 and http://www.lookfantastic.com is selling it at a higher price of £14.95.

                What is it for?
                =============

                This almond facial oil is essentially made for caring and moisturising facial skin, especially those that are prone to dry skin. It also acts as a protective layer for keeping your skin healthy throughout the day, and can also be used to cleanse the skin, remove make up and leave the facial skin feeling refreshed.

                Experience
                =========

                I purchased this Weleda Facial Oil a few months ago after a recommendation from a friend. The main reason for trying this product out was due frequently experiencing dry flaky skin, which would especially get worse during the winter seasons. I tried a few creams and oils but nothing really made much of a difference, therefore I decided it was worth trying this health product out, especially as it was made specifically for all skin types.

                *** How To Apply ***

                To apply I usually put 2 or 3 drops onto a cotton wool ball and then apply onto the dry patches on my face. I find that applying a couple of drops each time allows me to spread it evenly and reduce wastage, as the last thing I need is to apply too much and make my face look greasy. After applying, I tend to gently massage the oil into the skin, which I do with a circular motion using my fingertips. The liquid is yellow in colour and has the consistency expected with oil, which is light and runny, this is why it is best to apply a few drops at a time.

                *** The Results ***

                Once applied, the oil feels somewhat soothing and has a gentle cooling effect on the skin, and absorbs into the skin within seconds. This is great as I was a little worried that the oil would take a while to absorb and as result make my skin appear greasy, but thankfully that wasn't the case. The scent of the oil is pleasant, but it isn't that noticeable and it is a little hard to determine what it actually smells like, but it has a gentle fresh smell if that makes sense!

                After the first use I was able to notice the difference almost immediately, my skin felt smoother and the dry patches disappeared. My facial skin also had a nicer healthier glow and felt more refreshed than before, but the most noticeable effect was the disappearance of the dry patches. The 50 ml quantity lasts a long time, as I found that a only a few drops manage to do the job and provided lasting results, meaning I only needed to reapply the oil approx every 4 or 5 days.

                =========
                Conclusion
                =========

                I would happily recommend this Weleda Facial oil, as it is designed for most skin types including gentle sensitive skin, and helps remove dry patches from the skin while at the same time giving the skin a slight glow and healthy appearance. It is quite expensive for what it is, but the 50 ml quantity does last me a good few months. Therefore I would rate this product 4/5 losing one rating for the price tag.

                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  The Tumble Dryer was fairly easy to install (which my partner managed to do within 30 minutes or so) and also a good size with a width of 59.6 cm and a height of 89 cm, which fit perfectly into the available gap in our laundry room, which to be honest is quite small in size therefore having a tumble dryer of this size was very handy. It has a nice white glossy finish that gives it a modern appearance and would easily go with almost any housing colour scheme. It needs to have access to a hose when fitted to ensure drainage is done via the hose and outside. It comes with adjustable legs that also aided the fitting process and allows the height of the machine to be adjusted.
                  The White Knight 43AW Tumble Dryer has a simple white plastic finish and looks like most other tumble dryers to be honest. It has a door at the front with a white coloured frame and a transparent window to view the tumble drying process. The interior is made from metal material with large holes scattered around for sufficient ventilation. The door has a plastic handle that that allows for easy opening and closing, however it does not have a locking mechanism. Having a young nephew and niece around the house (who seem to love playing with washing machine and tumble dryer dials and buttons) this was a little worrying, but we mostly keep the laundry door shut and locked to avoid any mishaps.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  How to Use
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  The tumble dryer is simple to use, and after a quick glance of the instructions I was able to tumble dry some towels and items in no time. There are two settings to choose from one for cotton materials and the other for lighter delicate materials such as acrylic. The front circular door is easy to open with a gentle pull of the small integrated handle. Once items are inserted such as towels etc close the door until a clicking sound is heard to ensure the door is securely closed and simple to adjust the settings for the required fabrics, which is done via turning dial to adjust the time for the chosen fabrics. This is clearly labelled and easy to understand without having to keep glancing back to the instruction manual.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  Is it Noisy?
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  Once switched on and in motion the machine isn't that noisy, in fact if the utility door is shut the noise isn't that loud. If stood in the same room then the noise is obvious, but when the laundry room door is closed the noise isn't that disturbing that you would have to turn up your music or tv volume!.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~
                  The Capacity
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~
                  It has a 6kg load capacity which is very economical and has a more than enough room for tumble drying a reasonable amount of items. It has venting area located on the top area of the machine to enable sufficient venting and faster drying. It also has interior venting mechanism to boost the drying process and reduce time of cycle.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  The Results
                  ~~~~~~~~~~
                  I found that my thick towels and small dish towels are dried within approx 30 minutes which I think is quite fast in my opinion. The come out feeling dry and looking fresh, and basically exactly the way would you want! If taken out immediately then I find clothing items can be ironed quicker if which is always a plus! If there is delay the items will likely get more crinkled and need the usual ironing time. Of course this isn't an issue with towels and dish cloths so I usually take them out at the end of the day.
                  There is a filter that needs to be removed after each use, it is a filter that is located near the interior drum and is easy to remove. The filter should be cleaned and bits removed before reinserting into the machine.
                  ************
                  Conclusion
                  ************
                  Overall I haven't had any bad experiences with this tumble dryer, it does its job well and fairly quickly as well. It's also more economical to use, and very straightforward to operate. Therefore I would give this a rating of 5/5 and would highly recommend it.
                    I purchased this Seagate External Hard Drive for approx £80 from Curry's a few years ago. Having a quick look on the Curry's website shows that they are currently selling it at £59.99. Amazon have a range of similar Seagate 1 TB External Hard drives for sale from £50 plus. Maplin are also selling it for £55.99, Argos £54.99 and Dabs £49.97.
                    =========
                    The Hard Drive has a nice black glossy finish and is made from hard plastic material. It has a 2.0 Usb connection socket located on the right side of the device, and a LED light that lights up green when switched on. The Design is very simple, no overload of buttons and controls etc just a power indicator light and a connection socket.
                    My Experience
                    ============
                    I needed an external hard drive for my laptop as I was quickly running out of memory, and having to work from home from time to time, I needed extra memory for work and home files. Therefore this External 1TB Hard Drive from Seagate seemed ideal, as it as large amount of storage space and extremely portable which was perfect for using on a laptop computer which is frequently on the move. When connected it states it has approx 930 GB storage space available which is more than enough for me, and to be honest is way more than I would actually need, but for the price I thought it was well worth getting large storage drive to last me many years.
                    Its simple to use and set up, all you need to do is connect it via the supplied 2.0 USB cable to your computer and wait a couple of minutes for the external hard drive to be recognised and appropriate drivers to be installed which are all done automatically. The great thing about this hard drive is that it doesn't require any software CD installation or any real installation at all, it is really simple as plug in and go. Its quite clever really, as the Windows Operating System on the computer will automatically detect it and install if for you in minutes.
                    The green light indicator will light up once the device is active, and then you simply transfer your files over onto the external hard drive via selecting it in the computer option on the windows start up menu. You can either drag files into the external hard drive or copy and paste them, what ever is easer really, I tend to copy a number of files at once and paste them straight into the device.
                    The transfer rate is fairly fast from my experience, not taking much time to transfer a large number of photos and files etc. This is due to its 2.0 usb connection which allows files etc to be transferred efficiently and reasonably quickly. It is also hardly makes any noise at all during transfer rate, and stays relatively cool as I haven't experienced it overheating during prolonged use.
                    ==========
                    Conclusion
                    ==========
                    Overall this is a great reliable Seagate 1TB External Hard Drive that is easy to set up and really is a plug and go sort of device. No annoying software installation CDs to worry about, which is great for someone like me who isn't that technical minded. Therefore I would rate this an excellent 5/5, as it does exactly would it says on the box!
The Amazon website currently states the item is no longer available for sale, and it is difficult to find it for sale on any major online store. eBay however do have a few for sale in used and refurbished conditions starting from £19.99, therefore it is worth a look if you are interested.
                    The Design
                    ~~~~~~~~

                    The Fujifilm MX-1700 Digital Camera has a silver metallic coloured finish, and small in size. It has an optical zoom camera lens located on the front as well as white flash bulb light. It has 2 x digital zoom feature. A turning wheel located at the top of the camera is for adjusting controls and settings, and an LCD screen. The centre of the turning wheel is the picture taking button. The camera looks compact and stylish thanks to its metallic colour and metal finish.

                    ~~~~~~~~~~
                    My Experience
                    ~~~~~~~~~~

                    ***Weight & Size***

                    The camera is nice and small measuring approx 8 cm x 10 cm x 3.5 cm in size and weighting 270g. This makes it lightweight and compact enough to either hold in your hand comfortably or fit in your handbag. I personally usually keep this in my handbag when I am out and about as it hardly takes up any room and doesn't add much weight to my bag, which means no aching shoulders or wrists. As it is a nice compact size I find it easy to hold while taking pictures etc.

                    ***Camera Features***

                    The camera features 1.5 megapixels, flash feature, red eye removal, and auto settings which to be honest is what I leave it on as I am not that technical minded to mess around with the settings and pretend to know what all the jargon means! The optical zoom allows the lens to zoom into images to give extremely close up pictures, which is very useful when taking pictures of distant scenery or images without losing focus or taking away the real beauty.

                    ***Taking Pictures***

                    The camera is easy to use, simply use the turning wheel on the top of the camera to adjust the zoom and to select the picture taking mode, and use the LCD screen to guide you on where you would like the picture to be taken and then hold down the centre button located in the middle of the turning wheel to take a picture. If the flash is set on then there will be a quick flash and clicking sound when the picture has been taken. When taking zoomed in pictures all you have to do is adjust the zoom level before taking the picture, and viewing the LCD screen will show you how much the lens has zoomed in. The controls are very easy to navigate through the settings, majority of which are done using the turning wheel which have labelled symbols for easy use. Zooming in and out using the top and down buttons on wheel is well made so it gives precise control over the feature.

                    ***The Results***

                    The pictures taken are of good quality, with images shown in either 1280 x 1024, or 640 x 480 pixel resolutions. This allows the pictures to be clear and colourful and vivid. The zoomed pictures are also clear and precise, not blurred despite close up zoom. The flash works well majority of the time, however I found that occasionally the flash can cause some the images too come out slightly blurry. The LCD screen allows clear view of pictures, all in full colour and good resolution. The screen navigation is also simple and self explanatory aided by the clearly labelled buttons located on the turning wheel.

                    ***Memory & Battery***

                    The camera has a 4mb smartmedia storage card which holds a reasonable amount of pictures; however it is easy and relatively inexpensive to buy such memory cards if you run out of memory. The Camera uses a lithium ion battery which is rechargeable; simply plug the battery charger into the mains to charge the battery for use. I find the battery lasts a good 4-5 hours before the battery will require recharging. This is great as when I am out and about at an event with friends, I can take pictures for hours without having to worry about the battery running low. The battery takes approx 30-50 minutes to fully charge via the mains, which is very fast in my opinion.

                    ***Transferring Pictures On To Computer***

                    To transfer pictures onto a computer simply connect the connection wire which is not something I am familiar with, as it is not a usb connection (which is something I am used to). The file transfer is a little time consuming, with 20 photos for example taking approx 40-45 minutes to upload. This can be a little annoying, but I usually get on with something else while it is uploading them onto my computer.

                    ~~~~~~~~
                    Conclusion
                    ~~~~~~~~

                    Overall this is good digital camera that is compact in size and very easy to use. It also takes good quality pictures and has some useful feature such as optical zoom, flash, red eye. However I can't help but feel that this camera is slightly outdated now, and there are many other cameras on the market that have many more features and higher pixels etc at low prices, therefore I would recommend this camera to those who would like a simple easy to use camera without all the added technical features etc, and would be great for a novice or a beginner. In fact I ended up giving this to my dad, as he finds very easy to use, while I wanted a more advanced camera. Therefore I would rate this a great 4/5 losing a rating for the slow computer transfer rate.

                    I received this Paperchase Screen Starz Laptop Sleeve as a Christmas gift, therefore I am not sure how much it retails for. I checked online, and the laptop sleeve is not easily available from online stores. The Paperchase website no longer has it for sale; I am not sure as to whether it is because it is out of stock or whether it has been discontinued. 13 inch Paperchase laptop sleeves are usually priced between £15-20, therefore I believe the Paperchase Screen Starz Laptop Sleeve costs around that much.

                    The Design
                    ===========

                    The Laptop Sleeve is 13 inches in size therefore is designed for 13 inch sized laptop/notebook. It has a zipped opening and closing design located on the top of the case. It has a pink coloured finish and a front cartoon image of animated character. The cartoon face has a one closed eye and one star shaped eye, as well as some light freckles on the cheeks. There are two red coloured hair bows in the cartoon character's hair, which illustrates it's a little girls face rather than a boys. There are three pictures of control knobs on the right hand side, making it appear as though the front of the laptop sleeve is a tv screen with the 'Starz' cartoon being displayed. It's all very girly, and therefore more likely to appeal to female customers than male. The design in my opinion is fun and funky and makes a nice change to the many boring printed designs used for laptop sleeves on the market.

                    My Experience
                    ============

                    The case is 13 inches in size and therefore fits my 13 inch laptop perfectly, it slides inside with ease and even has a little bit of room left over, which is great as my laptop would be too restricted when enclosed. The little bit of space allows enables me to take the laptop out easily, as have room to grip my fingers onto the laptop and slide it out.

                    ============
                    Zip Mechanism
                    ============

                    The sleeve has a zipped opening and closing mechanism located at the top area, I find the zip itself to be made from good quality metal material and therefore is quite sturdy and durable. I am particularly pleased with the strong build of the zip as in the past I have experienced zips either snapping off or getting stuck while opening and closing, and thankfully I have not experienced any of these issues with this Paperchase Laptop Sleeve. I also prefer a zip mechanism than a Velcro opening and closing flap, with ultimately will lose its stickiness with time. All in all the opening and closing of the zip is very easy and doesn't require much effort to do.

                    ==============
                    Neoprene Material
                    ==============

                    The laptop sleeve is made from neoprene material which gives its elasticity and durability. The material is thick and has a reasonable amount of cushion providing a good safety barrier in case of knocks and bangs. The material makes the job of inserting the laptop into the laptop easier, as it literally just stretches to mould to the shape of the laptop. The material has a nice cushion feel and also allows for a nice comfortable grip be made while carrying it my hand. The pink neoprene material is easy to wipe clean if you spill drinks or liquid on it, however I found that it is prone to developing slight bruising marks. For example if you put this laptop sleeve inside another bag which has some hard objects, then I found that it leaves a light imprint outline on the material. It has also has a few pen marks which I cant seem to get rid of, but this is only a slight issue.

                    ===============
                    Any Compartments?
                    ===============

                    The laptop has sufficient room for a 13 inch laptop, but unfortunately there are isn't any other side compartments or pockets to hold accessories, which means I have to remember to pack the accessories and usb sticks and wires etc separately which is slightly annoying.

                    ==========
                    Protection
                    ==========

                    The laptop sleeve does provide a reasonable amount of protection for my laptop, as my laptop hasn't developed any scratches or marks since using this form of protection. I have used this laptop sleeve to hold my laptop many times while travelling, and is lightweight enough to enable carrying with ease. However although it is doing a decent job at the moment, I do worry that with time the laptop sleeve will start to wear and tear and as a result it will not protect my laptop in the long run. This is mainly due to the slight imprints left behind hard objects when pressed against the sleeve, and I imagine that this sort of force would eventually damage and rip the cushioned material.

                    ==========
                    Conclusion
                    ==========

                    Overall this is decent laptop sleeve that will provide reasonable protection for your laptop. However I am little let down by the material and cushion durability and therefore doubt it will last more than a year before developing wears and tears. As a result I would rate this laptop case a fair 3/5
