I recently went to the York Racecourse with work. It was considered a bit of a posh do! All the men in suits and ties, all the women in dresses. I have lots of beautiful dresses in my wardrobe. Many which would have been perfect for this event. But over the past few years I have gained a big 2 stone! And none of my beautiful dresses fit any more. So I had to buy a new dress. I didn't have much money at the time due to huge car bills!!
So I bought this dress off of Littlewoods.com which is a catalogue were you don't have to pay it all in one go. It was £60 which I thought wasn't bad for this dress. I think it's gorgeous and is well worth the money. I used the 'Buy now Pay later' scheme. Which is where you get 12 months to pay back the £60 without them adding any money on.
When it came, I tried it on straight away and it fit perfect! I bought a size 10. It doesn't have a zip or anything, but the back is elastic. I love the way it's comes out at the bottom. There is a sort of wire going round the bottom of the dress. You can see it in the picture. The only thing I would say bad about this dress is it would be better if the embellished part went all the way round the dress instead of just at the front. I loved the material and think it looks more expensive in real life then in the picture.
I wore it all day at the races and it stayed in the same place all day. I wore it with a strapless bra but you don't have to wear a bra at all. A few people even said it was really nice.
It says 'hand wash only' but I put it in a normal wash and it was fine. It is made out of Main: 100% Polyester. Lining: 97% Polyester, 3% Elastane. Since I bought my dress I have seen it in many colours. I bought it in Navy. But I've seen it in pink, hot pink, cream, black and beige. It comes in sizes 6 - 16. I have also seen this cheaper in other shops like Asos.com where its £50.
I would definitely recommend buying this dress. Its great!!
I am going on Holiday next week (Hurraaaaay!) and have been buying a few holiday items lately. I was desperate for some new sandals. I was still going around in the ones I had bought for my previous Summer holiday two years ago.
I always think white sandals look the best! They go with everything and just look nice in my opinion. I ended up finding some in Peacocks on sale for a bargain price of £5. But as I am a shoe lover, one pair just isn't enough. I was looking on Amazon.co.uk for Lipsy stuff. If you like Lipsy, you should definitely go on there, they have Lipsy clothing surprisingly cheap! I came across the Lipsy sandals. The were £4.48 and free delivery. Which I thought was really cheap. They aren't on the Lipsy website so I'm guessing there probably last season stuff or something like that. They came in 3 colours. White, Black and a clear champagne type of colour, which I thought were really ugly! They only had 3 sizes in the colour white which were 3, 4, and 7. Luckily I am a 4!
When they arrived. They were in a huge box, which in my opinion was way too big. I had them sent to my mothers because she is always in, unlike me. I tried them on as soon as I got them. Immediately I thought they felt much heavier than normal sandals. Obviously because of what they are made from which is rubber. When I first purchased these off of Amazon I thought they would be really comfy because they were a different material. Personally I think my other sandals are much more comfy.
I do love the design of these. I love the huge diamontes on the top. Normally I am not a huge fan of this type of thing but I thought they looked prefect for my holiday. I love the straps that go round the back with the buckle. I think because of what they are made of these sandals will last longer than any I have had before. I can't imagine them looking a mess like my others. Also these sandals have the Lipsy logo on the in-sole of the sandal in a silver colour. I am really interested to see how long these sandals last and will be updating my review after my holiday to say if they stayed in good condition.
I know a lot of people that aren't a fan of the bit that goes in between your toe. I used to also not like it, but once you've bought a pair that is like that and wear them for like an hour, you get used to it and it is comfy. You don't even notice the bit in between your toe. I just thought I should make that point for any one who is put off by it.
I would recommend these sandals as they look great and hopefully are long lasting! You cans till buy these on Amazon.co.uk now. I believe they only have them in white though, size 3. So if that suits you, you may want to grab yourself a bargain!
Thanks for reading :)
I recently went to the York Races. It was considered a posh do! I bought a really beautiful dress and I needed a clutch bag to go with it. I didnt want to spend too much money because I dont often dress up and need clutch. I am glad I bought one though, this one is perfect! Im really glad I bought it because now Ive got one for future events or nights out. And because this clutch bag is black, it pretty much goes with everything.
So I looked around on the internet for one and I discovered this one on Littlewoods.com. Now if you've shopped with Littlewoods before you will know there prices are usually higher than high street prices. Surprisingly this was £15. Which for Littlewoods is cheap. I was expecting to pay around the £12-£17 price! I had bought a clutch bag before for £12 but I now don't like it and its grey! Which wouldn't have gone with my outfit.
Of course buying this off of the internet, you never know quite what to expect, for example, the quality and size. I saw the dimentions on the website but you still just never know exactly how it's going to look. I was extremely happy when it came. It was even nicer than I expected. It didn't look cheap. The fabric and look of it was elegent. And the size was absolutely perfect. Not too big or too small. Good size to hold in your hand all day. The size was H 26, W 10.5, D 5 cm. And its made out of 95% polyester, 5% elastane.
I've never head of the brand 'Teatro'. But so far I am pleased with this item.
You cant see very well on the picture but this bag has pleats in it that head towards the bottom corner. This bag also closes with 2 magnetic buttons things (I've forgotten what there called). It also comes with a thin chain that attaches to the inside of the bag so you have a little chain that can go over our shoulder.
I think this bag is great value for money and I would 100% recommend. I can't think of anything bad to say about this bag :)
As a kid, I always loved pot noodles. They were like a treat for us. Because we didn't have them very often. I was always a picky eater! So I loved noodles anyway. Growing up I only had one flavour I could eat. Chicken and Mushroom of course, the nations favourite!
As I've got older and older I've become less picky. I always remember when this flavour (Bombay Bad Boy) came out. It was on an advert on tv. It was meant to be seriously hot!! I remember my big brother used to have it quite a lot. I would smell it from a far and think it smelt really nice.
Finally, I had one. It has pea's and sweetcorn in, which I am not a fan of. If I'm honest I always pick them out. Its a hassle but this way I can enjoy it without having to eat around them. The pot noodle comes with hot sauce. It is hot. I've only ever had it once, the first time I had this flavour pot noodle. It burns your mouth out! Seriously! Since then, I don't put it in. It still is really flavour-sum. It tastes like curry.
Even though this pot noodle is not very filling, I feel it has a lot of calories in. In a normal size pot (90g) it has 389 calories in. You can get the king size pot noodle which is slightly bigger. But I don't buy that because it has loads of pea's and sweetcorn than normal in. A 90g pot also contains 2.9g of sugar. 14.8g of fat. Which in my opinion is also a lot. 6.8g saturates. 1.28g of salt. So its not the healthiest meal in the world. Its just a snack but contains all that in it.
I have a pot noodle most days for dinner at work, because its really easy to do and its quick. Basically all you do is boil the kettle and fill it to the marked point. Then you leave it for a minute of so to go soft and that's it. Also its good because its suitable for vegetarians and vegans. All pot noodles are to my awareness.
They are a good price as well. Often in main supermarkets they are £1 each. But they ofter are on offer, for example, 2 for £1.50 or 75p each. Sometimes in Asda they even sell them for 50p. Which I always get laods when they are this price. I would recommend this as a snack! Great snack! :)
I dont always have time to wash my hair everyday! Also my hair is thick (very thick) and long so its a right hassle. It takes me ages to wash, then dry, then straighten my hair all the time. Even if I leave it to dry on its own it takes hours! It can be really annoying! I'm sat in an office all day myself so I dont care too much for my appearance everyday. I just slap on a bit of eye liner and mascara and put my hair up in a bun.
I saw this product advertised a couple of years ago I think and I thought it was such an amazing idea. I had always looked for it in the shops but could never seem to find it. I must of been looking for the wrong thing. One day I did come across it in Asda, along with some other products similar to this one but by different brands. I saw that it was around £5. I thought that was way too expensive, so I didnt bother buying it.
The other week I saw this product in Morrisons. It was on offer for £3 for a 200ml tin. I thought this was my chance to take! I bought it. I decided to buy this brand because Im pretty sure it was the first of its kind (not 100%)! So I thought it must be the best one of the 'dry shampoo' range.
On the front of the tin it claims to "removes oil & boosts body". Its for normal to oily hair. "TRESemme is dedicated to creating salon inspired, salon quality hair products without the salon price". Their slogan is "Professional. Affordable". This product is supposed to give your hair a fresh look, instantly cleanse and reviialise hair without water.
The product had been sat on my dresser for a week or so, until one day before work when I thought I should use it. I read the instructions on the back of the tin. It says to shake the can, spray evenly on to dry hair, holding 8-12 inches from head and leave it for a couple of minutes. Brush then style!! So I did this, it was as easy as it sounds. Nothing difficult about it.
I did think my hair deffinitely felt dryer! Not really greasy. It felt like I had a load of powder in my hair. It didnt feel like I had washed my hair at all. Infact it probably felt worse than before. I only brushed my hair, I didnt put it up or decide to style it in any way. I dont see how you could style it. Not to look nice anyway. Also my hair looked like it had talc on it. It was slightly white in patches. Maybe I hadnt sprayed it far away enough. I havent use this product since! And I certainly wont be doing!
I wouldnt recommend this product. Just wash your hair!! A waste of money!
After wanting a smoother and softer face I decided to finally do go and do something about it! I bought the 'Simple' face cleanser, which on the back told me for the best results to go out and buy 'Simple' face toner. Which I did, and that one said for best results follow with 'Simple' Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser. Which is where I am at now. I bought it about a week or so ago to go with the other things. (I've reviewed the Purifying cleansing lotion and Soothing facial toner already if you want to read them).
I bought this bottle from Morrisons. It was £2.50 for 125ml. Which is more than the other two cost. I was quite happy to buy the moisuriser to go with the other two products because I thought it would be great to start using moisturiser anyway. The thing I do really love about the whole of the Simple range is that, its all about how they do not use any purfumes or any unnecessary chemicals in their products.
So I used this along with the cleanser and toner. I put a blob on a cotton wool wipe. And then wiped it all into my face. Doing circle motions. I put plenty on the first times I used it. Now I dont use as much. I was hoping that in the morning I would wake up and my face would feel so smooth and nice. But unfortunately my face just felt greasy. I have been using all three of these products together. First cleanser, then toner, then this! I was hoping over time my face would start feeling better. But to be honest it still doesnt. All day long it feels really greasy. I hate it. I look in the mirror and think people must think my face is well greasy. Which is how it looks. Im not sure if this is just like this with me, but I am not going to use it anymore. And I would not recommend it at all.
A few minor good things about this moisturiser is that it contains 2 vital vitamins. Pro-vitamin B5 which restores, softens and smoothes. Vitamin E which moisturises to improve skin condition. It also contains 2 skin loving nutrients. Glycerin which hydrates and nourishes. Borage seed oil which renews and regenerates.
This moisturiser claims to keep your skin moisturised for 12 hours. Which I do believe. My face definitely feels greasy all day long! Its dermatologically tested and approved.
It says on the back of the bottle "For best results smooth gently into your face and neck using upward and outward movements. Use with our Kind to Skin Refeshing Facial Wash Gel". I have bought the face wash but havent used it yet. I will be reviewing it soon. For ingrediants go to Simple.co.uk
I do not recommend this and wont be buying it or using it again. Sorry Simple :(
I recently wanted smoother and softer face so I was looking around Asda in the face cream/wipes section and came across 'Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion'. You might of read my review on it. Well anyway, it said on the bottle for best results follow with 'Simple Soothing Facial Toner'. So I have gone out and bought some. It was only £2 for a 200ml bottle. I bought it from Asda, I believe its a similar price in most supermarkets. Its in a green see-through bottle and looks quite similar to the cleansing lotion.
I'm really loving 'Simple' the brand! Because of how much it stresses that their products have no unnecessary perfumes or chemicals. Their products contain vitamins and nutrients. So as I said, I use the cleansing lotion which I really recommend. I now use this afterwards. I get a cotton wool wipe thing and put the product on it. Its not a cream, its a runny lotion almost llike water. I rub it all around my face. It feels quite nice on my face because its quite refreshing. Straight away after, it feels like there is a thin layered mask on my face which feels like its tightening my skin. I then let it dry. The cotton wool wipes I use are from Asda, £1 for a huge pack!
I've been using it for a few days now every morning and night. To be honest I dont notice the difference of using this. With the cleansing lotion I noticed a huge difference but feel like if I didnt use this it wouldnt really make any difference. I do think it feels nice but I think I'll probably not buy it again. Unless by the end of the bottle I notice some sort of good change.
On the back of the bottle it says that it contains 1 vital vitamin which is Pro Vitamin B5, which restores, softens and smoothes. The bottle also contains "skin loving" nutrients. Chamomile, which gently softens and smoothes. Witch Hazel, which helps tighten and tone pores. Allantion, which softens and protects. This product is dermatologically tested and approved. This facial toner is also 100% alcohol free!
The bottle says on the back "For the best result: Apply generously to cotton wool and wipe in gentle upward movements over skin morning and night. Follow with our 'Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser'". So once again I have bought the next product to go with this one. I will start using it today and write about it in a few days.

I've been really lucky with mt skin and face, Ive never really suffered from spots or anything. When I was just a little bit younger I had a really smooth and soft face and got compliments about it. But recently I've started to notice little lumps and had a few small spots. Nothing really noticable.
I wanted a product that was cheap. Just to make my skin feel a bit smoother and softer like it used to be. I've always liked the brand 'Simple' because it doesnt contain any unnecessary perfumes or unwanted chemicals. I was slightly in a rush the other day in Asda but I was determined to buy something for my face. I do use Olay Cleansing Wipes to take off my make up everyday but it never seems to make my face feel any nicer. So I was in Asda and I had a quick look at all the cleansing wipes/creams/products. I saw the section of 'Simple' and decided I was definitely getting something with that brand!
I saw a few things and couldnt make up my mind, but then I saw Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion. I know its not going to make a huge difference because it isn't moisteriser. But I thought I'll try this out first. One thing that stood out to me was that it contained vitamins in. In Asda this product costs £2 for 200ml. I've seen it in other places recently for the same price so Im guessing thats the going price.
The good things about this cleansing lotion is that is contains Pro Vitamin B5 which actively restores, smoothes and softens. Which is perfect because thats exactly what I want. The others nutrients is contains are Bisabolol and Allantion. Which apparently smoothes, calms, softens and protects. The product really stresses about how it contains no perfume or colours. Its dermatologically tested and approved.
I use it with these cotton wool wipe things. I put a blob on the cotton wool wipe and rub it into the wipe and then all around my face. It feels really nice. It doesnt soak straight in and you can feel that its on your face slightly. I've been using it twice a day. After the first night I used it I could tell the deifference in the morning. My face felt a lot smoother. I was extremely pleased. The cotton wool wipes cost £1 from Asda for a BIG pack.
On the bottle it says for best results: Morning and night, apply to cotton wool and gently cleanse with upward and outward movements. Follow with our Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner.
Today I bought the facial toner which was £2 aswel for a very similar bottle. I will review that product soon.

I really recommend this product and so far I am really happy with it. Hopefully it will be even better once I've used the other product with it. You cant go wrong for £2.
Last year I bought the 'Purple Indulgance' GHD's. I thought they were the best hair straighters ever! My hair straightners before that were pretty good but I thought these GHD's were amazing. Recently I saw some other limited edition GHD's. There called 'Pink Orchid'. Basically they are the new version of GHD's but with pink on them instead of gold and a few extra bits.
So I bought these with my first ever wage! Woo Hoo! I shopped around and kept finding them for around £130. I looked on the website that I bought my old ones from and they were £114.95. Which were the cheapest I found, also because I used them before I knew they were trust worthy. The website is www.ukhairdressers.com. The delivery was free. Also it came with a free GHD hair protection spray.
I bought them and it took a while for them to come so I started getting worried. I emailed them and they said a security letter had been sent out because my billing address was different to the delivery address. I rang up my Mum and asked her if I had any letters ad she said yes! Thankfully. I rang the number on the letter and had to quote a reference number and confirm the delivery address. They literally came the next day. I bought them on the Friday and they came on the Thursday. They would have come quicker but I didnt know I had the letter waiting at my mums.
When I got them I was really pleased. The box was slightly damaged which was dissapointing as they had cost a lot of money. The box was the same style as the clutch bag. But it didnt have actual lace on it, it was printed on the box. Inside the box was the clutch bag which was a deep pink and had black lace all over it. The bag is big. Obviously because they have to fit the straightners in. Inside the bag it also has a chain on it, you can have it in or out. I dont think its too strong though.
Inside the bag is a small mat. Which is heat protected. It has two popper buttons on so you can keep it in the bag. The set also came with two clips that say GHD on them in the dark pink. The other thing that came with the set was a cover/lid type of thing. You can just put it over the end of your straightners while there hot so you dont have to worry about them touching anything while they are hot. The clutch bag seems really strong and the clip that holds the bag closed is really strong.
You get a 2 year garentee with this GHD set. My old GHDs only came with 1 year. You have to go the on official GHD website and verify your straightners. There is a unique number on a label on the wire of the straightners and another number on the inside of the hair straightners. Its really easy and its the best way to know your straightners are real GHD.
The straightners themselves are black with a spot design on. They have pink plates and a few other pink details on them. They are very attractive. Which is the reason I bought them (my other GHDs didnt brake or anything.) The temperature on these hair straightners are 180 degrees. I think thats good because a few of my other straightners went up to 230 which must of fried my hair to death. You cant change the heat and they are not digital.
They heat up extremely quick. It takes about 30 seconds or maybe even less. When you turn them on with the switch, the GHD sign on the switch lights up pink then dims down. Once they are fully heated the light stays on. When you turn them on they make a beaping noise. When they are ready to use they make another different beaping noise.
The plates are ceramic. And the sizes are 23mm x 9cm. The plug is universal. All you have to do is un screw a screw in the plug and they have another plug on. The wire is long so you dont have to stand too close to the plug socket.
I've used the bag a few times but I dont bother very much because its hard to close the bag with them in. Because of where the hinges are. It makes it very awkward. I also have yet used the clips. There all just stored away. I used the cover thing but I think its quite weak, sometimes it comes apart a bit. And I have to push it back together. The straightners are lighter compared to my old ones. That was the first thing I noticed when I first used them. A safety feature I think all GHDs have and a lot of other straightners have, is that they turn themselves off if there not used for 30 minutes.
I think these are the best hair straightners because there really smooth. They dont pull your hair at all. And after the experience with my old GHD's I know they wont wear out or start pulling your hair after a while. I highly recommend these hair straightners. They may be expensive but there worth it. They'll last for years and years!!
Also if you buy these £10 goes to a breast cancer charity.
Since the start of my 'wearing make up' days, I have always used make up wipes. I was around the age of 12-13 when I started wearing make up. I used to buy these cheap make up wipes from Wilkinsons which were about 3 pakcs for £1. Bargain right? No. I used to always get these infections in my eyes. I had them for about a year and never really knew what it was. It just one day stopped. So I am weary when it comes to using things for my face or eyes. I used to not really care what make up wipes I used, I just bought anything that was cheap. But it was about a year ago I noticed that it always feels like I have bits in my eyes. Then I realised it was from these cheap wipes. The little fibres were going in my eyes and making it really uncomfortable for me.
I decided to buy a decent pack of wipes. I saw these Olay ones in Asda and thought I'd give them a go. They were £1.99. Straight away I noticed the different, it didnt feel like I had stuff in my eyes anymore. I wear a lot of eye make up so I mainly wipe my eyes and around my eyes. The other thing I noticed was it got the make up off a lot easier and made my face feel a lot cleaner.
I use one everyday in the morning. I used to take my make up off before I went to bed but now Im just plain lazy! In the pack is 20 wipes. The last me a few weeks. I wont buy any other. Once these wipes were out of stock so I bought the other Olay wipes. They are in a darker blue packet. I dont like using them because they make my eyes sting like crazy. You can find these wipes cheaper than £2. They are in Home Bargains for £1. Also there often on sale in supermarkets for £1. Recently they were in Asda for 80p. So I stocked up and got loads.
These wipes claims to 'lift away' dirt, make up and even waterproof mascara. They are dermatologically tested. These wipes are for normal and dry skin. They have Aloe Vera. I have used waterproof mascara before and they do get rid of it. As it claims. Its really easy to lift make up. It literally comes straight off. It brings foundation off easily also.
I would never use any other wipes! 100% Recommended!!! For ingrediants go to Olay.co.uk
I recently bought a new bag. It is black. I always want a new purse when I get a new bag. Normally one that goes nicely with my bag. I have looked around everywhere for a purse. I always struggle to find exactly what I want. I picture things in my mind and want it exactly like that. Then I find it hard to find things. I wanted a purse that had a zip around zip. If that makes sense. Also the other thing that was important about buying my next purse was having a lot of card spaces. So I started looking around.
I always end up looking on the same websites: New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams, Jane Norman, River Island and Next. I couldnt find a purse I wanted. I saw a purse on the Debenhams website one day while I was at work that had a zip around zippy thing. Recently New Look have started doing 'brands' on their website and I noticed the same purse on that website. It was by Mischa Barton. After seeing it a few times I started to like it.
One random day me and my boyfriend decided to go to Lincoln to go shopping and he said I might as well get a purse from Debenhams while were there. Which saves us on delivery charges and I get to see it properly before buying it. On the New Look website it is £28.99. In Debenhams it is £29. Im not too bothered about the 1p different. This purse comes in pink as well as black.
When I spotted it in the shop at Debenhams, I decided I definitely wanted to buy it. I payed for it on my card and off I went. Once I got in the car on the journey home I switched all my stuff from my old purse into my new one. I think its so much better and a lot better quality than the one I had before.
The things I really like about it has so much space. You can fit loads in it. It has about 16 card spaces althought if you fill them all it becomes hard to get them out because there squashed in together. Inside the purse it has a seperate part with a zip on the top for your coins I assume. You can fit loads in it. I put my notes (money) in the part with the cards. Sometimes when Im rushing I put coins in the main bit also.
The outside of this purse is black with stitching on it. It also has a gold a black metal thing on it. Like a logo. The same logo is on the zip holding bit. On the inside of the purse its really good quality. The coin part bit is made of purple fabric. When you open that bit it has Mischa Barton written inside on a label. Its quite a big purse. The measurments are L: 20.5cm H: 12.5cm. It is made out of Outer: 100% Polyurethane
Lining: 100% Cotton.
I recommend this purse because its amazing quality. The best purse I've had. Its designer and looks great. You can fit loads in it. Its a great purse! Amazing!
I always go throug stages of having a certain bag for a while. I dont match my bag with my outfit or anything, I just use the same bag for a while and then get bored of it and change it. So my old bag was very summery. It was white with flowers on it and was rather large. Perfect for going to the beach and having to carry loads of stuff. But now that its getting a bit chillier and I've been having to wear my small coat a few times, I thought I need a bag that goes more with my coat.
So I was at work one day and was a bit bored because I had done everything I needed to do so I was surfing the internet. I just look at clothes and things like that. I was on the Debenhams website and thought I'd have a look to see if they have any bags suitable. Debenhams is quite reasonable, they have a huge range of stuff. Cheap to expensive! So I went to the 'bags' catagory. I ticked off 'black'. Because I wanted something a bit plain and I really wanted a black bag for a change. I still wanted something big so I could fit plenty in to it, but not as big as my summery bag.
There were quite a few pages of black bags, this one though was on one of the first pages. It stood out to me because it seemed like a good size and wasn't too plain. I liked how it looked like it had 'shape' to it. I always make the mistake of buying a bag without shape and then regret it. I looked at the dimensions and thought it was a good size. I also liked how the handles weren't too short, because I like to put mine on my shoulder. What I also noticed was howit had a 'love heart' on it. I liked that because I thought it was a nice feminie touch. The quality is great.
So a few days later on pay day I bought this bag. It was £25 and the delivery was £3.99 standard! I hate paying delivery when I'm only buying one item but what can I do! There isn't a Debenhmas close by so I dont have much choice. The delivery was really slow. I bought it on the Wednesday and it didnt come until the following Thursday. I think it should be a free delivery service if its going to take so long. I waited for it every singe day.
So when it FINALLY came, I opened the Debenhams packaging and then there was another plastic packaging. It also had tissue paper around some of it. My first thoughts were 'great'. I thought it was absolutely the perfect size. It fits quite a lot in. More than you would think. I have an umbrella, large purse, tick tacs, pens, head ache tablets and a few more bits. There's space for me to put my dinner in it everyday as well.
Inside it has a lining. It has a zippy pocket and a phone space. Not that I use it. But the zippy pocket comes in handy for small bits and bobs. The main fastening is a zip fastening. Its made out of 100% polyurethane. The dimensions are HWD: 11 x 15.6 x 4.6". It has embossed detail all over. The bag looks great and I think its my favourite bag so far! I recommend this bag to anyone who just wants a standard bag that isn't too patterny.
***I've just noticed this bag is now on sale for £20. Thats £5 off***
I started work just over a month ago now and as soon as I found out I got the job I went a bit crazy trying to find suitable work/smart clothes. I had bought a few tops from New Look but thought I need more. I had looked all over the internet and in loads of sales and couldnt find anything perfect for me. I am a bit picky when it comes to clothes. I feel I dont have the best body shape so I cant just wear anything like some people. Although I hate my arms I cannot stand wearing full length arms sleeves. I also cant wear a high neckline. I wanted a blouse, something not too smart but suitable for working in an office.
I just had a thought about a website I used to love. Asos.com. I love it because it has such a wide range. And so much stock. I like the free delivery service. I hate spending £4 a time for one item of clothing. I think its great how Asos.com has so many different clothes. Expensive and cheap. Loads of sale items and they always seem to have most sizes in stock. What I tend to find is, you find something you love, click on it, but then they dont have your size in. Thats rarely the case with Asos.com.
I typed 'blouse' in the search bar. And then clicked sort by 'price: low to high'. Loads of sale items came up. I looked through a few pages and saw many I liked and could see myself wearing. I then saw this blouse. It was supposed to be £50 and was reduced to £15. What a mega bargain. I couldnt resist buying it. Especially when its free delivery.
The delivery was quite quick to say its free. I bought it on the Friday and it came on the Wednesday. I was at work so I missed it, but luckily the delivery man knocked again later that day so I ended up getting it that Wednesday. I straight away opened it up.
I tried it on straight away and was really happy with it. I was happy with the size and everything about it. I had bought a size 8. I did notice pretty much straight away about it being quite see-through. I am not brave enough to wear something see-though so instead I went to Asda and bought a £3.50 plain black top to go underneath. I think the look is really great.
The blouse itself is a grey/greenish colour. Its three quarter sleeves, quite a thin material and has little silver stones all over it which is a very nice touch. It has a bow on the front of the neckline. It looks really nice. Its made from 100% pollyester. The blouse is not made by Asos.com but actually made by Oasis. Its amazing quality for the little £15 it was.
Its great for washing. It never creases at all and feels practically dry straight away. Its so comfy to wear, I feel like a can move all around and move my arms without feeling restricted. I think if I wasnt wearing a black top underneath I might find it a bit too revealing. I think its great that its thin because its very cooling and refreshing when its a hot day in the office!
I think this top is great quality! Amazin for £15. I would definitely recommend. This is my favourite work top!!
A while ago I was shopping in Asda and I always buy a packet of biscuits for my boyfriend to take to work the next day with his packed lunch. On the end isles of Asda, there are always the offers or new products. I came across these, along with Milka Cookies and Milka Digestives. I really love Milka chocolate. Its really tasty and I normally buy a bar every so often for about a pound. These Milka Choco Mini Stars were on offer along with the other two products for £1. I thought that was a good price.
When I got these home I didnt know what to expect. I thought it was be a tray of biscuits inside but actually it wasnt. With this packet, there were 5 individual packets inside the box. Unlike the other two products. In the individual packet there are 6 little biscuits. They are quite small and round like a circle. Then they have a star in the middle covering most of the biscuit. Its two layers, one layer is milk chocolate and the one underneath is white chocolate. I'm not really a biscuit person but I decided to try these for myself as well as my boyfriend because I do quite like Milka and was intrigued to see what they were like. I was pleasantly surprised because I don't normally like biscuits. But because these have quite a lot of chocolate with them I really enjoyed them. I didn't think there was too much biscuit which is just what I like!
In my personal opinion I think that each biscuit contains too many calories. There are 32 calories in each biscuit. And there are 6 biscuits in one little pack. The pack contains 192 calories. For me, that's quite a lot. I still eat them knowing that they contain this many calories. One biscuit also contains: 0.4g of protein, 4g of carbohydrates and 1.6g of fat.
Im eating a packet now and Im getting crumbs everywhere. I really like these biscuits, and so does my boyfriend. I think my nephews would love these too, there quite young and love anything sweet.
The Milka range also includes: Milka Alpine Milk 100g, Milka Alpine Milk Caramel double filled) 100g, Milka Chocolate Cream 100g, Milka Daim 100g (my boyfriend loves this one, its has Daim bar in it), Milka Happy Cows 100g (this is my favourite, its white and milk chocolate), Milka Hazelnut 100g, Milka Santa Claus Tablet 85g (I imagine this will only be available at Christmas), Milka Bunny 85g (I'm guessing this is only available around Easter), Milka 250g Gift Tablet, Milka 330g Minis (this is a box f chocolate, it includes a variety of all the types of bars).
I think this is a good product. I think this would suit going in a child's lunch box or something like that. Because it is a star on the biscuits, it does seem more for children. The packaging is small. I definitely recommend this product because they are really nice. I enjoy all of Milka's products because the chocolate is just delicious. For a pound its a good price!
UPDATE! They are now £2 in Asda. I wont be buying them for £2, but if they are on offer again there definitely worth it!
I recently started work and now have to wear smart-ish clothes. I had a few pairs of black trousers, but I just dont feel comfy wearing them. Im so used to wearing skinny jeans all the time. After a week of wearing black trousers I decided I would just buy a pair of black skinny jeans and hopefully get away with wearing them at work.
So I wanted the colour black, but most importantly I wanted them to be a dark jet black that wouldnt fade after a few washes. I looked around on the internet. Firstly looking at Asos.com and found a great pair, unfortunately they didnt have my size. I then went on Dorothy Perkins website and found this pair of super skinny black jeans. I typed into the search bar "super skinny jeans" and then with the results I filters the search by ticking the colour "black".
I clicked on this pair of jeans, there werent many to choose from. They looked really nice, I had a pair of skinny jeans similar to these from Dorothy Perkins before so I was optamistic about buying. I also read the reviews which were on the website. There were a few mixed, but mainly good. I was quite worried about them going loose on the legs after a few washes as some people had said, but I took the risk and bought them anyway. They were £25 and £3.95 standard delivery.
The delivery was supposed to take 3 - 5 working days. I bought them on the friday and they came the following wednesday. I had missed the delivery and had been left a card with a number on it. I kept trying to ring it but no one was answering. Luckily the delivery man came back later on that evening.
When I opened the package I was extremely pleased with the product. The quality looked really good and they felt nice and comfortable. I tried them on straight away and thought they fitted really well. They were quite strechy around the waste which is nice because they dont dig in. I did buy size 8 small. Although the leg is sized "small" they are still a little too long for my legs. I like about these jeans how there are not much detail because I wanted something that werent going to look too much like jeans.
I've washed them definitely more than 5 times now on a 30 degree wash and the colour has not faded at all. Nor has the material got looser. I wash them inside-out as instructed on the label. Once they have dried I dont iron them because they dont crease. They are made of 77% Cotton, 21% Polyester, 2% Elastane. They have two pockets on the front and two at the back.
I am really pleased with this buy and would definitely recommend them!!
