The Halls are really delicious and I really enjoy eating them, they are sweet but they are also good for coughs and colds as the menthol in the sweets gives you a really cool sensation and eases tickly throats. They are my favourite brand of throat sweet as they taste good and relieve itching, tickly coughs. You automatically associate Halls as a sweet which is designed for coughs and colds but I enjoy them as a recreational sweet. I particularly like the cherry flavour as these are soothing and sweet but they provide clarity. It is like taking in a massive breath of fresh air when you suck one. The sweets are small, hard boiled with no sharp corners (sometimes boiled square sweets cut into your mouth whereas these do not.) and they taste really good. They also last quite a while, the sweets are small but they give massive flavour and they last quite a while when you suck them. I had a tickle in the back of my throat which led me to have the urge to suck something through the day. When you work in a crowded office, the last thing you want to do is start coughing and spluttering everywhere, disturbing the peace. The menthol burst cleared my head and focused me, they also helped me breath a little easier and the sweetness soothed my throat. The minty ones are also very delicious and can be used to freshen up your breath before going into a meeting for example. I have tried all varieties and I like them all but the fruitiness of the cherry is most appealing. I had a chat with my friends about them and shared them out; they come in such a handy packet that you can share them easily, especially as they are individually wrapped. With some sweets, you pay more for the nice box or tin they come in. In the packet you get quite a few sweets and they come individually wrapped, perfect for sharing. You can buy a packet for around £1.50 - £1.75. They also come in different flavours.
=Introduction== This was bought by my boyfriend who had been recommended it from a girl at work. He is quite happy having girly chats with his work gal-pals, which I don't mind as he often comes home with some great tips. I think he may have another motive however, rather than just being kind. He bought this for me and it is designed to prevent unwanted stretch marks across your breasts, keep them firm and supple and also provide relief to dry, itchy boobs. ==WHAT DOES IT COST?== This cost £29.00 for £100 and as I have big boobs, it does not last long! You can buy it online or from department stores. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The ingredients are fatty acids with a blend of evening primrose oil, avocado oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter and coQ10- which is a heavy anti-oxidant that is the most expensive ingredient as it has been proven to firm up skin. The bottle blue and it is designed to be rubbed on your breasts, around the pectoral muscles and just under the boob area. You are supposed to use this once a day. It has a very pleasant creamy scent to it and it feels soothing on the skin. It feels rather cooling and rather gel-mask like, but eventually it does soak in to the skin. It feels really nice on the skin and when your boobs are tight and uncomfortable, this soothes them and eases some of the discomfort. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== My breasts blew up overnight when I was carrying my young one and it was so painful to put a bra on. I obviously complained enough to warrant my partner buying me this gift but I think the real reason was to avoid them going south and having stretch marks. I used this for around 2 months till it ran out and did not replace it. It was pleasant rubbing it in and I enjoyed it but since giving birth, my boobs are smaller but they have stretch marks. I either think this stuff did not work, or I did not start using it early enough and continue through the pregnancy. I must admit that I prefer using it to bio oil, I used to hate the way Bio oil made my skin feel warm, at least with this you get the cooling, soothing qualities of the different oils. So to sum up, I reserve judgement on recommendation.
=Introduction== I bought the compass for when I go walking. It is an orienteering compass so it is very accurate but I got it to go rambling with so definitive accurate reading is less of an issue. I just like to have a compass to use in conjunction with a map. I bought this from Argos but it is branded by Gelert which is a brand who specialise in camping equipment. ==WHAT DOES IT COST?== This cost £4.00 which is a small price to pay really. It is useful to have especially as I do not really have a nose for direction! ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The shell of the compass is see-through plastic which is good as it has a ruler on each edge so you can use it with a map and still see the map underneath. The compass has an arrow which points to north and the mechanism is easy to read with accurate hands that indicate the polar. There are smaller markers within too so you can see each individual degree of direction. Within the Perspex shell there is a plastic magnifying section that allows you to map read easily, sometimes little symbols and contours are hard to pick out on maps so this will help you, although I have not used it yet. The compass has a glow in the dark needle which does glow but I have not been out in the dark yet. The compass comes with a carrying cord which I do use and I have this wrapped around my neck so it is always there when I need to check I am on course. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== Yes if you like walking and there are some lovely walks around the country; then you will need this. I like how light it is and you do not feel it on your neck at all. I like the rulers as it helps me work out scale. The actual mechanism is really accurate and easy to read and it takes only a quick glance to understand the direction. For the price, this is a really accurate compass and it is of good quality. It is durable and will not shatter if it falls. You can pick it up at your local Argos and it comes in a box so it could make a nice gift for someone. If the yellow cord breaks then you can thread your own but so far so good for mine.
This represents really good value for money and when I was looking for a cheap racket for a knock about with a friend, I was so impressed I decided to buy one. I could have bought a racket cheaper on its own, but not by much and as this had everything I needed in the set, I could not refuse. ==What do you get?== You get a Wilson Titanium racket that looks the part and is really well sculpted. The racket is red and mustard in colour and made from titanium which makes it really light. The strings are tight and they are hyper sensitive so there is a good chance you can return the ball. The size of the racket is standard for squash and the handle is comfortable to hold with a foam and rubberised hand grip that helps keep the racket firmly in your hand. You also get two squash balls, these are relatively cheap to pick up but it is useful having them in the kit as you can never have enough balls. Included in the kit is a water bottle that although smells of cheap plastic; once rinsed out and used a couple of times is not half bad. All the stuff comes in a lovely Wilson carry case which makes you look like a pro. ==My experiences== Since buying the kit and playing in the sports centre I have decided that squash is not for me. I have played a couple of times and find the game too restrictive. At one point my shiny new racket collided with the wall as I tried to return a ball and it not only scratched the frame but distorted the shape. Apparently, this is very common and squash rackets do not last very long! I think this was the deciding factor for me, so I now prefer badminton as it is less intense. In terms of product quality, for £20, I think I got a really good price for the set and I think it is good value for money. The kit is reduced from £40 which is what I would have expected to pay for Wilson products. ==Overall== For the small price is worth buying to find out whether you like the sport, unfortunately I did not but this is not to say that it was any reflection on the equipment, in fact quite the opposite I was very impressed with the items. I still use the bottle today. I did not like seeing my shiny racket damaged on the wall though; perhaps I was just too determined to win!
=Introduction== I enjoy badminton and it is an excellent way to keep fit. I love bouncing around the court and enjoy the speed of the game. I prefer the delicacy of the impact and find it much easier on my joints than sports such as squash and tennis. I have played since school and I find it an excellent source of fitness. This is the racket I use and so far it is serving me well. ==WHAT DOES IT COST?== This cost £21.00 which is rather an average price, you can obviously get very expensive ones but I only play for fun. This is a good quality racket for the money. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The light aluminium frame is good for the delicacy of badminton and the racket is of average size with good neck length. The handle is coated in a soft rubber grip material so it will not slip from your hands if you get sweaty. The strings are plastic and finished to a high quality. They are tightly woven and have remained firm and in good condition. The racket has a logo on it too. The frame is light and sturdy, even when I hit it on the ground in a bit of girly strop; it has not bent the shape. I have really enjoyed playing with this racket. The racket frame is red with a black handle. I think it is also available in different colours. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== This is a really good quality racket and I find it really good to play with. I play badminton indoors so the wind does not affect the game and this racket has really helped me out. I find that it is strong and it makes a lovely ping when the shuttlecock bounces off the wires. This racket has a really soft rubberised handle and it is perfect for performing backhanded or overhead moves. The racket does not slip from your grip which is good as it is a big help to your game. I am pleased with how long this is lasting and it is of high quality. I had one racket that was made of such soft metal that it bent out of shape quickly and luckily this one has been much better than that and has remained in shape. I would recommend it and I think the price is good for such a high quality piece.
=Introduction== I have dry skin on my legs from shaving. I also find that the winter tends to take its toll on my pasty skin and my skin goes very dull looking. I would not go as far as saying it is flaky but it is definitely dries out. I do moisturise and I tend to go for really thick butter creams as it takes a while to soak in. I was excited to try the new E45 squeezy moisturiser as e45 is reputable for caring for skin. I was not disappointed and I found the cream to be thick and luxurious, despite being in a squeezy bottle. Lucky for me I got this on Bzz to try, you should join up as you get free products to test! ==WHAT DOES IT COST?== The bottle costs £3.99 from stores such as Boots. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The bottle is made from plastic and it has a sealable lid at the end so you do not have to worry about leaks if you want to take it on holiday. The liquid itself is thick and creamy, it has a smooth velvet consistency to it and it is cool and soothing to apply. The cream is a pleasure to rub on. There is a vague fragrance to the bottle but it is not very strong, in my opinion it just smells fresh. I have been enjoying using this instead of my usual creams as it rubs in well and it feels like it moisturises my skin for longer. My skin has felt soft and conditioned since using it. I really would recommend it and I will be buying it again. For one, the bottle is easy to control and you do ont waste any. I found body butters in tubs hard to get out as you ended up getting it down your nails. This just needs a quick squirt in your hand and you are ready to go. It also seems like it is lasting a long time. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== I really recommend it and I am shocked that it has taken e45 this long to break into the beauty market as I more associate their products with specialist skincare. It is worth trying as it is a premium product for a good price.
I took the opportunity to visit the Tesco Express at Tooley St and I had a potter about the store before heading to the food to go section and sampling some delights. The store is well presented, tidy and clean with the floor being free of debris. There was enough staff on hand to offer advice and I found these most approachable when trying to make a purchase decision. I asked for the opinion of one of the staff when looking at the sandwiches as there was a lot of choice. I have now been to the store on four occasions and I have bought a selection of sandwiches, crisps juice and on one occasion I bought a sushi selection. The sandwiches looked freshly made and all the salad was crisp. The sandwich I most enjoyed was a chicken wrap as it was low fat, full of flavour and it had plenty of meat in it. With all the recent poor press of Tesco being involved with the meat scandals, it was nice to see the brand doing something right and here was a great little shop with affordable prices and tasty fresh food to go. The sushi selection was lovely, the rice was moist and each roll was made with a lot of care. I found the vegetables and the fish to be very appetising and full of flavour. The store is open 6am until 11pm on Monday to Saturday and 12pm until 5pm on a Sunday, this is very convenient and it means you can get things for work or you can even grab things to take home after a few evening drinks. In terms of prices, everything offers good value for money. You can get a basic sandwich for around £2 with some more specialist sandwiches and wraps costing around £3. I took the time to visit Euphorium bakery located within the store and I was most impressed. This was my introduction to the brand and here at Tooley Street they have excelled at maintaining their high reputation. I believe that the store within a store concept is new and the Tesco at Tooley St is the first of its kind. I think this is great advertising for Euphorium as I now want to visit their own stores and sample a more extensive array of goods along with having a café. The store is open 6am until 11pm on Monday to Saturday and 12pm until 5pm on a Sunday. The early opening time makes it perfect for popping in and grabbing something to eat for breakfast at work. From the bakery I had a slice of carrot cake and a blueberry muffin. I had these on two separate journeys and on both occasions, the snacks were exceedingly fresh. The quality of cakes is exceptional and it really feels like a bit of love has been put into each one. The muffin had a good proportion of fruit in compare to dough and it was sweet but not sickly. The carrot cake was moist, rich and full of flavour. The cake was a good size and I felt satisfied afterwards. I am most impressed with the Tooley St bakery and I recommend it. In terms of customer service, they were so helpful and friendly that I can not help but mention it. The only issue is that you are paying for the quality here and you need to understand that quality does not come cheap. As they use the finest ingredients and the staff are skilled bakers then they do cost more than the average supermarket cake or bun. It is well worth it though.
When you are younger you tend to go for sweet fruity scents. It's as if your palette has not developed yet and any "grown up" perfumes smell old fashioned, heavy and overpowering. My mother always wore lulu or channel no5 and I couldn't stand them! Now I am older I have come to enjoy them myself! The reason I am telling you this is that this fragrant would have appealed to the 15 year old me however as I am now nearly double this, I can not stand the sweetness. I am not a babydoll! ==Why buy it?== My parents bought it as a Christmas present. I love clothes, especially those by YSL. I certainly can not afford them though unless I get a second hand bargain somewhere! ==The product== The fragrances comes in a glitzy girls bottle that looks like a big gem. It's pink with a gold stopper. The fragrance within is fruity and powerful. Each note is potent and seem to fight against each other. The opening notes are redcurrant, grapefruit and rhubarb, with a heart of rose, freshia and spices. The base, if you still need more sweetness is a selection peach, grenadine and cedarwood. ==lasting== This lasts forever it's so strong, it stays around for a very long time! If you want an overpowering sickly sweet smell that will not go away! ==finally== This is a really overpowering girlie sweet smell. It's too much, far too sweet. There are so many fruity elements that don't work together all competing to be the star of the show! You can buy this for £40 from perfume shops and even £5 would be too much to spend! This is serving as a bathroom freshener, sorry mum and dad but it's not for me!
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== This is a womanly but strong fragrance, it is distinctive and strong but it also has a delicacy that is can only come with premium scents. This was bought on holiday and it remains one of my main favourites, it is just a shame it costs so much. ==WHAT DID IT COST?== You can buy the 50ml bottle for £70, this is one of those expensive perfumes that you will cherish and once you try, you will not want to go back to anything else. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The bottle is made from glass a beautiful apothecary bottle. It oouzes class and sophistication, something that I am lacking but my perfume bottle can do it! There are some lovely notes in this perfume and the overall finished product is citrus lemon that gives it a zesty brightness, melon to balance out the sweetness and it keeps it fresh. The delicate fruits are accompanied by violet and jasmine and given a backbone base note of sandalwood with a hint of vanilla. * Top Notes * Sicilian Lemon, Peach, Asil, Italian Bergamot, Melon, Green Notes * Middle Notes * Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Violet, Rose Bud, Carnation, Cyclamen, Oakmoss * Base Notes * Vanilla, Clove, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Musk, Patchouli ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== This has good lasting power and it can carry you through a whole evening. I would recommend it, its a bottle that will suit any woman of any age. I will be wanting another bottle for my next birthday as the last was bought on holiday and it has recently run out. It lasted a long time though, sad times all good things have to end! This can be bought at all good department stores and at your local Dior counter. You will not be disappointed.
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== There are many ways to say I love you, but presents speak volumes! I was bought this perfume by my boyfriend. I find it far too heavy and it gives me a headache which is a shame as it is an expensive perfume and it is now just collecting dust. I love the bottle but I hate the perfume within. ==WHAT DID IT COST?== You can buy the 30 ml bottle for £48 currently on Aamzon which is reduced from the stupendous amount of £66. This works out at over £2 per 1ml! ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The bottle is made from glass and it has a very elegant design. It has an elongated neck with stopped and a lovely pearl-gold feel to it. The scent opens with Bergamot which is exquisite and harvested in Southern Italy. The bergamot essence is obtained by cold-pressing the peel. This is a very strongly scented essence and it gives the perfume its distinctive aroma; it is also what causes me headache! Bergamot is quite masculine scent and it is used in some male colognes. In the hearst of the perfume, Damascena rose blooms and it balances out the scent, it is at the heart of many Dior perfumes. The last note in the mix is Jasmine, this is soft floral but it gives the perfume a rather too sickly sweet scent as it mixes with the bergamot. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== I find the perfume too sweet, it is sickly sweet and it is also very overpowering. I can only wear a small amount and even that turns my stomach, I have no idea why it does not respond well to my skin. Interesting to note that when I was pregnant the scent smelled better?! It must have reacted better with my hormones. I am not pregnant now though so this only gets a three and thats because it has good lasting power.
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== I bought these Armorall Orange Cleaning Wipes as I need a packet of wipes in the car those little emergencies and to make sure that I can keep on top of keeping it clean inside. They come in a tube so you can keep them in the side of the door. ==WHAT DID IT COST?== I paid about 2 pounds for this roll of wipes and you can buy them all over, places like Wilko stock them. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== These large fabric wipes come in a tube that is like a baby wipe dispensing tube with a plastic lid to keep them moist and as you pull one out, the next peaks out the top so you have easy access. I like them because they are mulit-purpose from dusting, wiping up spills and even cleaning my sticky fingers if I have tried to give the kids some food in the car. The wipes have a fresh orange zest smell and it is lovely, very refreshing. It leaves the car smelling delicious and very clean. ==WOULD I RECOMMEND IT AND WHY?== These have a nice scent and the wipes are great for cleaning up spills and for dusting. The wipes are moist and do not dry up quickly. I would recommend them as they are quick and easy and good to have for emergencies.
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== I have a problem with my ears on a plane so I cannot wear the little bid ones which I usually favour. Before I went on a long flight I decided that I would buy some full sized headphones in order for me to have a pleasant flight experience and not have sore ears. I did not want to spend too much money though so I looked on the internet for a cheap pair. ==WHAT DID IT COST?== This pair of branded headphones cost me £15 and I bought from online but I cannot remember from where. I have looked on the internet and Amazon is stocking them as well as the auction site ebay. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== The headphones are very comfortable with adjustable sides and large spongy ear protectors. The headphones are light and you cannot really feel them after a few times of wearing them. They really gave my ears a rest. The headphones are compatible with anything that uses a 3.5 mm jack. These have a gold metal plug so that noise quality is not impaired. The lead is very good quality and it has good connections. I find the headphones to have very good sound quality, it is loud and the sound is crisp. You can still hear background noise but this is only expected from cheap headphones. I am not prepared to spend a lot on those noise isolating ones. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== These do the job and I can comfortably listen to my music while wearing them. I have watched movies while wearing them and had a very nice film experience from these; the sound quality is very good. I am pleased with the price I paid and for the money they feel very solid and good quality. I would recommend them.
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== I bought a new car in September and I want to keep it looking like a new car. Not much chance in this awful weather but on the next time we have a sunny day I will be back out there giving it a shine and getting all the grit off. I bought this is a week after buying the car so I could wash it all the time and keep it looking shiny! ==WHAT DID IT COST?== You can buy this sponge for a snip at only £1.99p in Halfords and this is a branded product so it is well priced. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== This is a very thick, very large yellow sponge that feels smooth and soft yet t is quite firm. This sponge was used to clean my car a number of times before the horrible weather set in and it has been a great accompaniment. The sponge can absorb a lot of water, nearly half the bowl full and it gets very soapy, I love washing with loads of soap sods and this creates a lot. The sponge is large and sweeps over the paintwork removing debris and dirt and leaving it clean. If you do not clean the sponge though, it makes the car streaky as it dries. The sponge is now a grey/yellow colour and it has lost its new colour however it is still perfectly formed. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== Yes I would because you will need a large sponge to clean the car quickly. It is absorbent and it holds a lot of water. It is smooth and gentle on paintwork but strong enough to lift off dirt. Well recommend and it can be bought for a very cheap price.
==WHY DID I BUY IT?== This was on offer in my local supermarket and as I had not seen this type of Pantene before I decided that it would be nice to try it. As a rule, I swap my hair care regularly so that my hair does not get used to it and I always get a nice clean feeling. I also bought a Pantene conditioner as I like to have matching products. ==WHAT DID IT COST?== You can buy the shampoo in 200ml size for £2 - £3 and it depends if there is an offer on. I always buy my hair products on offer and usually there is always something that has been discounted. ==WHAT IS IT LIKE?== This is a lovely shampoo that comes in a white plastic squirty bottle. The shampoo is creamy and rich and although it is not as firm as the conditioner, it is much thicker than other shampoos. To use it, squirt a couple of centimetres of product and massage into wet hair, then all you need to do is rinse it. It foams up nicely so you get to really dig deep with a good lather. This has a lovely spring day scent, very floral and fresh and it makes my hair smell nice for the rest of the day. ==WOULD I RECOMMNED IT AND WHY?== I will look out for this type of Pantene again as it is a lovely one, really fresh and attractive and it makes my hair look really clean. It takes away all the greasiness and it keeps it looking conditioned and well cared for. I tend to have dry, frizzy hair and greasy roots, lovely I know so this is a good shampoo that counter acts both issues. It does a really good job and I will be buying it again. I just refuse to pay full price.
By definition I usually find I enjoy most Calvin Klein perfumes. From CK1, CKB to Eternity; I have found their perfume range to be diverse yet they all have the ability to be carefree, youthful scents. This perfume was a sample given by a friend and it is lovely, a very vibrant summer scent that will appeal to a great number of people. Description and opinion The perfume comes in a round glass flagon and a square glass cap. As I have a 5 ml sampler, I have it only in a plastic squirty bottle. I have seen the full sized version in shops, however I have yet to handle it. I do have first experience of the scent though, however and I can tell you that it is a lovely one. Very refreshing. The fragrance is delicately peachy with hints of floral notes. The heart warms with white lily that is clear, refreshing and sexy. Sandalwood and musks are the rich undertones and balance out the scent making it womanly yet slightly masculine which I tend to find I like in perfumes. I hate sickly sweet gilrie perfumes and even my chap prefers what I wear to some cheap flowery rubbish. Price and final thoughts This perfume is expensive and although I love it I will not be going out and buying it at full price, I will be waiting for my Birthday and hopefully someone will pick up on my hints and treat me! I would recommend this for women of any age from teenage to golden olides and it can be worn day or night. It makes a lovely day time perfume but it also has that richness and crispness with the lily to make a nice evening scent.
