I try to feed my 10 month old son mostly homemade food and to give him a variety of flavours and textures, that said when you are out and about with a baby there are certain times when convenience is the way to go.
These snacks are the perfect answer as they are convenient and easy but also give you the confidence that your baby is eating an organic snack which is not full of additives and added salt.
Compared to something like Pom Bears (which I see a lot of mums giving their kids) these only have a trace of salt where Pom Bears have a wopping 4%. All of the ingredients are organic and there isn't an E number to be seen.
Now Organix state that these are not suitable for children under 12 months however my boy has been eating them since he was weaned at 6 months with no problems at all. The snacks are a long tubular shape which fit perfectly into little baby hands making them a very easy thing for babies to hold and eat themselves, because they are a crisp type consistency they don't slip out of babies fingers and get dropped either. Once your little one has got the stick to their mouth they start to sort of melt so the baby doesn't need to chew on them which is much easier for babies who are learning to eat and / or don't have many (or any!) teeth.
The pack size is quite large for a baby however I have found that if you twist the bag top and seal it with a peg or a tie the snacks stay fresh and crisp for ages so you don't have to use them all at once.
The only downside to these is the orange sort of coating on them (I assume this is the carrot powder ingredient) which does tend to get all over your baby's clothes, hands and face and can therefore be a bit messy (why oh why is so much baby food orange!). That said because they are so easy to hold onto and for the baby to get into his mouth they are less messy than many other snack items like pieces of fruit which can get squashed in little hands and end up everywhere.
Most importantly of all my boy absolutely loves these and they keep him quiet and happy!
This is the first electric toothbrush that I have owned but after having my baby I experienced bleeding gums and decided to invest in my teeth!
As soon as I got it home I tried the toothbrush out and I was amazed at how clean my teeth felt, it was as if I had been to the dentist for a professional scale and polish! The two minute timer is fantastic as it means you don't have to think about how long you have been brushing for and it's also useful to have a red light flash when you are pushing too hard (you can still see the light even though you are brushing your teeth at the time!). There is also a battery light indicator on the toothbrush which turns red when it needs charging.
Since I have started using this product my bleeding gums have stopped and my teeth have never felt so clean, I'm much more confident in my dental care and wish I had made the switch years ago. I know there are much more expensive products on the market but this one just goes to prove that you don't need to spend loads of money to get a fantastic product which does exactly the job it needs to do.
I bought this for my little boy for Christmas after reading all the reviews saying how good it was and can now breathe a sigh or relief that it was worth the money and not one of the many baby buys I ended up regretting!
People vary on the age they first use this from (the recommended age is 6 months) however my little boy used his from 3 months as he had good head control for his age.
The jumperoo itself is good quality and is quite easy to assemble. There are three separate 'play sections' plus two hanging toys and the seat swivels in the jumperoo so that baby can turn around to face different ways. This is great as when baby seems to be getting a bit bored you can just turn him around and it's like he's in a new toy!!
The seat is adjustable to 3 different heights so you can adjust it as baby grows to get more life out of the product.
There are two settings for the music which is great and there are also lights on one of the play stations.
The jumperoo is easy to clean just by wiping it down with a cloth.
In all this has kept my baby entertained with the toys early on and then with toys plus bouncing when he was a bit older. It has both kept him entertained and helped him build up strength in his legs and get some exercise which is great as before they start crawling most of babies time is spent sitting around. It also gives me a break and a chance to do the dishes while he is kept busy!!
When our dyson finally died we needed a new vacuum cleaner and seeing this on sale for less than half price in Argos (and being on a budget) I decided on this one.
What a result - it's lighter, easier to use, smaller and costs less than a Dyson!
The vacuum is nice and compact and fits easily in our under stairs cupboard, it has a telescopic handle which is useful to adjust for a longer reach when cleaning or a smaller pole when storing. It is extremely light and therefore great to carry up and down stairs and to use on the stairs itself (it also stands on it's back end so can sit on the stairs as you go up).
It's bagless so no expensive bags to buy and you can easily see when it is getting full. It is easy to empty as you just push a button to remove the waste tray and then push another one when it is over the bin to empty it. It has a filter which is simple to take out and rinse clean and you can actually rinse the whole waste tray out under the tap.
We have hard wood floors, carpets and tiles in our hose and it copes well on all three floor types (with a baby and two cats it can have it's work cut out!), there is a button on the head to change from hard floors to carpet. It also has a power lever to change the rate of suction and a handy attachment to clean curtains. The other two attachments are the standard crevice and brush tools which clip on to the hose so that they are always with you. There is a good long power cord on it which automatically retracts.
In summary this is an excellent little cleaner which is light and easy to use and store, easy to empty and clean and powerful enough to do the job.
I was first given one of these pens by a friend for my 30th birthday and frankly I wasn't sure whether to be insulted or not! Prior to this I had been using high street brand concealers so after hearing all the hype about this product I was interested to see if it was worth the money.
The simple answer to this is yes! Since my first pen I have never gone back to a basic concealer and still use it now nearly 10 years later. The secret to the pen is that it doesn't just cover up or 'conceal' dark circles under the eyes it also highlights and illuminates. This means that it makes your eyes sparkle and lights up your skin where you apply it so that your skin looks younger and brighter.
The packaging of the product is extremely luxurious as it comes in gold box with the YSL logo embossed onto it. The wand itself is also gold and feels and looks high quality and looks very posh in your make up bag. In order to activate the wand you push the black button at the bottom to push the product onto the brush, I use the product every day under my eyes and at the sides of my nose and it still lasts about 6 months so although initially expensive it does last a long time.
I use this product every day and am often complimented on my skin and how well I look - particularly since having a baby and getting less sleep than ever before - other mums are always asking how I look so refreshed!!
