I first tried this aftershave when my mate ordered the 'bottled edition' samples off the internet. I was really impressed by the quality of the smell, and of it's partner the 'day edition'. The only aftershave I had at the time was Diesel Only the Brave so i bought the 100 ml Hugo Boss Night for, well, night time and special occasions.
SIZES & PRICE
There a four quantities it comes in: 30 ml, 50 ml, 75 ml and 100 ml. I wouldn't recommend buying it in store as everywhere i have been is too expensive, just look at Superdrug - it's £38.50 for 50 ml. I went to the perfume shop in Blackpool and they wanted £39.99, not a chance! Amazon seems cheap enough, you can get the 50 ml bottle here for £26.41 with Free delivery, or it's £36.93 for the big boys 100 ml bottle.
PACKAGING & BOTTLE
Like all aftershaves, the retailers try and make the appearance of the aftershave eye-catching so more people buy it. I have to say this one did stand out on the shelf. It comes in a tall rectangular box with a black and blue background, the word's BOSS HUGO BOSS are in silver writing. Everyone loves a smart looking aftershave to add to their growing collection, and this one is definitely worth putting at the front. The bottle is dark blue and you can't see through it, the bad thing about this is i can't tell when it's running out.
For the price you pay, Hugo Boss Night delivers a sensational smell! It's kind of like a seductive fragrance that will help you conquer the night. I'm not saying women will just fall at your feet, but if you play your cards right this aftershave might just help seal the deal. Don't over use it like i did, a few sprays will set you off for the night, but as the price isn't too dear, you could give your self a good covering if you wanted to. I feel much more confident wearing this aftershave as i know i won't get any complaints, the smell isn't too overpowering that people around you start choking. I don't know why but i feel like a man who is successful when i wear it, it just gives me the feel of wearing a really expensive aftershave that you get as a wedding present.
Overall, i'd definitely recommend this aftershave as it has the smell of a really expensive aftershave.
Hugo Boss as a brand are in the mid price range compared to say, 'Giorgio Armani' who offer a top aftershave for around £90. For me this particular Boss deodorant is one of the nicest smells on the market.
I've never really been a fan of Hugo Boss, until i bought the 'Bottled Night' edition which contains the after shave, this deodorant and a shaving balm. The smell of the deodorant is practically the same as the aftershave. A lovely, sharp, masculine smell that gives you a boost in confidence when you wear it! I've had lots of compliments from people saying that it smells really nice.
What attracted me to it was the fact that the packaging and the deodorant can looks like it means business. The blue contrasted with the black works really well on the can, and the aftershave version of this also gives out an important look to it.
If you're buying this deodorant, then i recommend you get the aftershave too as the smell is just too good to not wear. I picked up a 100 ml bottled night aftershave for around £30 on eBay, thanks to eBay i saved £10.
Overall, this edition of deodorant is one of the nicest smells Hugo Boss has ever done. I have the complete 'Bottled' edition, so that's the Hugo Boss Bottled (day), and the Hugo Boss Bottled (night).
I'd definitely recommend this deodorant for special occasions and when you're on the 'pull', but for me, it has to be accompanied with the aftershave as well.
I first bought this about 2 years ago because it looked like a fun way to workout your arms.
It's really convenient to be able to workout your arms with something the size of your hand, you can use it anywhere, but the question is, can it give you the same effect on your muscles as a gym could?
All i can say is never underestimate the power of a small ball with a 250 Hz gyroscope inside. You will be amazed at how much force this little thing can create.
I ordered it off the official Power Ball website for around £20 and was really excited to start using it. None of my friends had a Power Ball so it's something new to try out.
PACKAGING & CONTENTS
It comes in a small box that says which type of Power Ball you have on the front. Inside is the Power Ball, obviously, an instruction manual, a cd and two starter cords, which i try my best not to lose as it makes it harder to start up without them. The Power Ball itself seems like it is well made, the plastic on the outside is hard and you can see the gyroscope inside looks of good quality.
In this case mine has the digital score reader on the top which has two watch battery's that last for 3 years, so no worries about it running out.
WHAT IT IS MEANT TO DO
The Power Ball is device that is meant to improve your strength on your fingers, wrists, forearms, biceps and shoulders. The most common purpose for it is to improve your performance in a certain sport. If you've got stronger fingers, wrists and arms then you can for example: hit a golf ball harder. If you've got a damaged limb then it is great for rehabilitation too, just spin it gently!
When i first got the Power Ball, it took me about 10 minutes to just get it spinning fast. I started off with a score of 1000 but then after a few days reached about 12000. The best way to get it going is to use a starter cord and do wide, slow circles with your palm facing down, then start to make the circles smaller and faster. When it sounds like it is screaming and your hand is shaking from the force of it, then it's going quite fast. If you loose the cords i found starting it on carpet works or with your thumb if you're cool.
I found it very addictive and it really get's your arms tired and makes them burn! After using it 10 minutes a day for two weeks I noticed a big improvement in arm strength and grip which allowed me to curl heavier dumbbells at the gym. It can generate up to 40 lbs of resistance so there's no reason why you can't build muscle with this little warrior.
There are four modes to chose from: normal mode, high score mode, overall revolutions and the strength mode. With strength mode you can choose the 30, 60 or 90 second time period. Overall revolution mode is good if you want to pass some time, between 5 of us we got the score counter to 1 million just because we were on a long walk. It's fun to see who can get the highest score as well.
Another cool thing about the Power Ball is that it has a high score leader board which you can challenge yourself to get on. I know that the current world record is at 18656 Rpm, set by someone called "akis kritsinelis".
The downside to it is the gyroscope inside can be damaged if you keep dropping the Power Ball so i'd recommend a wrist strap. Also it can take some practice to keep it spinning, but I suppose you can't learn everything straight away.
I'd recommend getting this if you want a fun way to workout your arms, at home, at work or outside.
I first heard about these on the adverts and also from my mums' partner. Now he's been taking vitamins and other supplements since I've known him and for 65 he looks great! If you can't get what you need via your diet, I don't see harm in using things like Berocca?
The question is besides from the definite energy boost, is Berocca all good?
In terms of essential vitamins and minerals then Berocca over-performs. In some cases you are getting nearly 10x your recommended daily allowance which is safe according to the Berocca FAQ. However, you should monitor any other supplements you are taking too see if they will increase your RDA of a certain vitamin or mineral further. Taking way more than you need can be dangerous.
Reading up on the ingredients, your body is hugely benefiting from just 1 tablet a day.
You are getting your b1 and b2 vitamins which help you to release energy and stay on top form. B vitamins in general are need for healthy skin, hair, eyes and live and also are need for good brain function.
Berocca can also aid in a better sleep as it contains 25% RDA of Magnesium, which sounds crazy as they are meant to keep you awake. Magnesium eases anxiety, relaxes muscles and nerves resulting in an overall improvement of your night's sleep.
The disadvantage to Berocaa tablets are:
they contain two ingredients that might prevent someone from buying them: Aspartame, Acesulfame K. Some studies say that Aspartame is the most dangerous substance on the market.
You can either get Berocca Effervescent in 15 or 30 tablet packs. The box stands out on the shelf and is green and orange with a fizzing tablet in the corner.
The tablets come in a tube and the lid is quite hard to get off, so young children won't be able to open it.
To make things easier, I take all of the tablets out and put them back in without the foil.
In the morning, as suggested i just pop it in a glass full of water and wait until it dissolves. It's actually not a bad taste, the orange flavor is pretty good.
I used to be tired most of the day but now I have energy all day whereas before i'd only start to 'wake up' about 3 in the afternoon.
I've started to feel more alert and able to do a workout every 2 days, my muscles are pretty sore! I'm hoping to feel less stressed out, but I've only been taking them for 2 weeks so i'll see. If not then the gym can take care of that.
Overall i'd recommend Berocca, so many healthy benefits as well as a good energy boost.
I'm one of those people who prefers having a basic phone than a phone that can do everything. Sure I would love an IPhone, but there's times when a fancy phone can distract you using a phone for its original purpose: calling and texting. Which is why i bought this very basic, little Samsung phone.
I wanted a good battery life and i got it, I can charge this phone up and not have to worry about it for a week. Meaning it won't let me down when i need it the most, whereas with a smartphone you have to charge them more or less every day.
This phone feels like it has been made well. The plastic casing is tough and it comfortably sits in your hand. I've got quite big hands and I think the buttons are just about right in size. I've dropped this phone many times and nothing has changed, it's safe to say that I'm going to have it for a few more years. Even if it does brake (which it won't), I'll definitely buy another straight away.
I'd say the most advanced feature it has is 'fake call' or the 'mobile tracker' which is not very advanced, but i don't care. It has an alarm, a feature that makes the screen act as a light and basic calling and texting.
You can pick one up for under £10 on eBay or about £15 brand new, i got mine for £8.50. So if you want a cheap, reliable phone, I'd recommend this Samsung to anyone.
My mum bought me this Toshiba Laptop in October 2009 to replace the old computer i had. What attracted me to it was how good it looks! The main thing i wanted in a laptop was for it to be fast and a big HD (hard drive).
So far I am very pleased with the Toshiba Satellite as it has lasted over 3 years without breaking or becoming too slow.
The advantages are:
The 250g hard drive is well enough and i have over 1500 songs and tons of pictures and videos stored. I am happy with the 2.1ghz processor as it is capable of handling day to day tasks and moderate gaming. Certain programs do fail to respond at times, but considering it's 3 years old it's still operating not far off how i bought it!
I like to go on skype and take pictures so the little 1.3 megapixel camera comes in handy! Watching movies is great too because the screen is clear and bright. For a better quality though, i connect the laptop to a HD television with a HDMI cable so i can surf and watch movies at high definition!
The speakers are not too loud, so you will have to plug in some of your own.
The battery life only lasts around 2.5 hours which is average., i would want longer. After 3 years i've had to buy another battery.
