The Italjet Dragster is the Ferrari of the scooters. It has all the curves and fancy design that won this bike the Prestigious MCN Award for Outstanding design. The bike is a real looker and turns heads on the street all the time. Many a time have I had fellow drivers busy gorring at the bike that they have failed to notice the Traffic Lights change. For those of you out there who have a bit of style and finnesse and like the odd pose, well then this is the bike for you. The bike is based around an Open Trellis frame which exposes all the suspension springs and gives the bike a solid and chunky feel and look. The unique design of the bike also consists of a radiator mounted in the nose and heavily chromed headstock which give it a look all of its own and Head Turning appeal. The Dropped handle bars gives the rider a position where his/her weight is slightly over the front wheel which ensures greater control over the front of the machine and better handling in turns. Enough said regarding the looks and design of the bike. What really matters is what makes it go. Well the Dragster D125 uses Itajet's unique independent steering system (SIS), with the front hydro-pneumatic suspension unit sitting exposed between the riders legs. The rear suspension is also equally unique to Italjet with a three part cast alloy swinging arm and transmission case acting on centrally mounted hydraulic monoshock. The Solid handling due to unique riding position and a new Gilera designed 125cc engine which is also found on the very reliable Gilera 125cc runner, give the Italjet that extra reliability that was lacking in other Italjet models. The bike weighs a good 107Kg and is ideal in that it is not to lightwieght like the Piaggio Typhoon but not too heavy and sluggish either like the Yamaha Majesty. The dragster accelerates briskly to a top speed of 70 - 75 when restricted and after per formance enhancement can also hit around 85-90 miles per hour The bike gives 70mpg in average riding conditions and is no skin of your nose when it comes to filling up on the ever increasing price of Petrol these days. Petrol Crisis? What Petrol Crisis!!! The bike is ideal for speed handling and design, it also boasts a slightly higher pillion passenger seat which some say adds to passenger comfort, however the jury still remains out on that issue. The bike however fails on the practicality side quit badly. The Italjet believe it or not is probably the only scooter I am aware of that does not have enough under seat storage for a full face helmet. You really don't want to carry your helmet with you as I found out to well. My helmet kept picking up knocks against closing doors and became a toy of fascination for kids wherever I seemed to visit. The bike also has an unaccessible battery which takes a good hour to charge. This is not because of the poor quality of the battery but due to the fact that it takes approximately 55 minutes to dismantle the bike so that one can attach the crocodile clips to the battery. As I stated earlier the bike has a good external design but in order to acheive this a compromise has been taken on the bikes internal design and practicality. The other problem seems to be that Italjet have been known for delays in part supplies up and down the country. Although this matter has been resolved, it is definitely something to consider when making a decision. The final problem with practicality seems to be the dilema one faces when trying to determine where the front L plate should go. The bike has a unique radiater in the nose of the bike with fancy vents down the nose. This really leaves no space for an L plate. Could be a source of contention with the Police if they decide to stop and question you regarding your Licence. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed the bike and it has much more power and better handling than my old 50cc Peugoet Speedfight scooter and although less fun than my Honda NSR 125cc Motor bike, it definitely has enough power to get around town and avoid any tight situations. My advice would be to consider this bike along with the Gilera 125cc Runner if buying in the 125cc scooter category. All the best and I will keep you informed if anything changes.
I recently sold my rover 216GSI and bought myself a rover 416GTI (auto). The car was first registered in 1990. However, the car has some excellent accessories for a 10 years old car that cost me just over a £1000 with full rover service history. The car comes with a full leather interior, four electric windows, electic mirrors, PAS, electric sunroof, electric aerial, alloys, ABS and a Cobra Alarm and Immobiliser. These are truly remarkable extras, for a car which also has the Honda desgined Double Over-Head Cam engine with 16valves as well. As for the drive on the car, well that is truly remarkable as well. It has a much stiffer suspension then my 216gsi and shifts from 0-60 very fast even though it has automatic transmission. The car is also very spacious for a GTI and has good passenger and luggage space and comes in 4 door specs, making it a family car with a sporty image. Infact, the one thing that makes this car even more remarkable is the automatic transmission. To find an old GTI in an automatic transmission is rare. Soo rare infact that when i advertised it in the loot to determine the value of the car, I had several people who were desperate to buy it because it was an automatic. You may wonder why? Well one person in particular wanted the car so that it would suit his boy racer image, and also wanted something his wife would be able to ride in comfort, what better than an automatic to suit the needs. Therefore, the resell on these cars are good as long as you pick up one in good condition at a decent price. I would defintiely recommend the car to anyone but would put out a note of caution. It is hard to find a 416GTI in good condition with Service History and good body work and interior. If you are looking to buy be patient and choose wisely. Also most rovers with automatic transmission have a tendency to make a loud tapping noise when starting from cold. Till this day my mechanic has not been able to figure it out. I had the problem on both my rovers, although 5 mins into the journey the sound would be gone. If anyone has any ideas please add information in the comments section of this opinion. In simple terms, if you are a student who has just passed your driving test and wants a cheap sporty car with a lot of extras for an affordable price, then the 416 GTI's the car for you.
I spent the best four years of my life at this place. It still has this great attachment in my heart and I still make the odd visit down to QMW now and again when some function or event is advertised. Ths University is Unique because it manages to host all Faculties on one site. Something which is not found in other London Universities. This allows Friends in different Courses to study and be able to meet up for socialising afterwards quite easily. It also encourages meeting and befriending people of different backgrounds and areas of specialisations. This is something which stands QMW out from many of the other London Universities. The other great thing is the location of the University, which sits in the middle of the East End, a place of great cultural diversity. One is very close to the famous Petticoat Lane and Spittafields markets. Not too far is the renown Brick Lane where every other shop is an Indian Restaurant and one could spend the whole year experimenting dishes from the different restaurants. This place comes to life at night. Also in Brick Lane is the much publicised and the oldest Bagel Bakery in London, open 24 Hrs a day 365 days a year this is a place where students can easily afford pigging out on a meal of Bagels and Fresh Cakes. The other thing which makes QMW is the Student Union and it's vast array of societies, from Sports, to Culture, to Adventurous Hobbies, the University provides great distractions for students who wish to escape from the intensities of their courses. I studied Biochemistry as part of my degree and went on to study an MSc in Computer Science in what was the biggest Macintosh Lab in Europe. The Biology department in QMW is very good and the IT department is really the tops. The facilities are excellent and one can always find a Computer to work on or even check ones mail on. This being an advantage of being on one site and having access to any computer in any department in t he whole University. The other facility that I felt was very helpful for my studies was the University Library. Opened by The Queen several years ago, it is a great environment for one to spend time studing either in groups or in isolation. Most of my 3rd semesters was spent in that building. Queen Mary also has a great Canteen although i hardly ate there especially with so much variety to eat outside. I recommend the University to anyone and espcially to those people who come from an Islamic background. The Islamic soc is really great and the University has provided them with a great prayer room to serve their religious needs, this is usually a very busy place and a place for people to commune and meet other people with similar religious beliefs. Most of my best friends that I know today, were met in the Islamic Soc prayer room. The down side has to be the sport facilities, apart from the Indoor Football court, the Sports facilities are poor. A brand new sports complex was due to open in the early 1990's but was delayed and still has not been completed last time I checked in late 1999.
Southampton have been surprisingly quiet on the transfer front over the summer, given the fact that they only finished 15th last season and the newcomers to the Premiership have been adding considerably to their squad i.e Man City (Weah, Wanchope)and Charlton(Jenson, Johanson). Furthermore, with other survivors like Bradford from last season doing the same with the signings of Carbone and Petrescu. Glenn Hoddle has only added Mark Draper to his midfield, hoping the former Aston Villa man can rediscover the form he showed before becoming surplus to requirements in the Midlands. Towards the end of last season, Kevin Davies began to show the confidence he too once showed at Blackburn and if he can find the net with regularity, Saints could have a dangerous partnership up front with Davies alongside the lively Marian Pahars. Uwe Rosler, once of Manchester City, has also been added to the squad for a second spell in English football. Southampton fans will be hoping that Matt Le Tissier, who truly is a class player, has one of his better seasons after so many in-and-out displays last term. If anyone can inspire him, Hoddle can. Afterall he did pick him for England under such controversy when qualifying for the World Cup in 1998. At the back, Southampton rely too much on Dean Richards and defence again seems the area most lacking in depth. Another season in the lower half of the table beckons as the rebuilding continues, but there seems to be enough skill in this team to survive.
Will Gazza prove to be the bargain of the Millennium so far or a flop, like he has been known over the past few years? Infact his life reminds me of Maradonna. Maradonnas fall from grace was fantastic with drug allegations, weight problems, heart attacks and shooting journalists. Gazza on the other hand has been involved in drinking cheating and Wife Beating, these have affected his career greatly and his public image. This is therefore the last chance saloon for Paul Gascoigne who will be desperate to prove wrong those who are still shaking their heads at what seems a massive gamble by Walter Smith. Gascoigne is one of the few new faces at Goodison Park and evertonians expects them to improve considerably on last season's midtable finish Whether they do depends on how well the manager can get the best out of a large squad and whether he can pick a settled side. This could be the season Francis Jeffers and Stephen Hughes prove that they can thrive in a foreigner-dominated Premiership. At the back, Abel Xavier, a snip at £1.5million when he joined from PSV Eindhoven, could prove the relevation of the season following his impressive performances for Portugal at Euro 2000. Everton may not have as many big names as their rivals in Liverpool especially after losing Barmby to the Enemy. However there is a growing feeling that a visit to Wembley could be a possibility this season.
After watching the Villa against Celta Vigo in the Inter-Totto Cup and see them crash out, it has re-inforced my opinion that this club is heaading for Midtable Obscurity. Gregory seems to have been losing the plot recently. His two top players Southgate and Ehigou want out and at the same time Mr Carbone who played a major role in getting the Villa to the FA Cup final is also gone. There is interest in Joachim who has been in and out of the team and the only replacement they have really invested in is Mr Ginola and Luc Nillis. I am a big fan of this guy Ginola and i think he will do well in the team but the Villa don't play to his strengths. He likes the ball to feet and must be allowed the Freedom to run and do things as he pleases. He is a confidence player and the team needs to play confidently if he is to shine. I fear that the Villa don't have that style and like the ball knocked about longish much too often. Furthermore, Ginola is 33 and providing he stays injury free may only be able to contribute a season or two at the most. Gregory needs to look for younger players with the potential of building a team that will challenge for honours over the long term. I reckon they are a mid table team this season, unless i see some major signings or the two defenders Southgate and Ehigou hanging around. All the best for Gregory, but if he doesn't produce this season than Deadly Doug will have to his Deadly deed of some head rolling.
This is the most confusing and irritating piece of software that I have come across so far. I keep getting the annoying toolbar whenever I log on to my PC it just pops up and you can't even close it except from the session bar. Plus till this day I have 0.00 dollars in my account. The first problem is to understand how to use this toolbar to earn money because so far all my surfing has earnt me nothing, my friends who use it as part of my referral are in the same position. To add salt to the wounds they sent me an email the other day saying that they will be cutting the number of payed surfing hours to 10. I wish they paid me to surf for one hour at least before reducing to 10 hours from 18. I say avoid the site because it doesn't pay much if at all and you would be much better off just writing one review a day on dooyoo and get paid for the review and all the ratings that you get from them as long as the opinion remains on the site. It acts a bit like royalties for every one who read you opinion. Furthermore, we all know that dooyoo pays, so why waste time on some ponsy alladvantage site that gives you pennies every hour and looks to be going down the plug hole Avoid at all costs, there are other sites that are better organised
This Film has a really wierd story line. As you begin watching the film you think "oh no its one of those far fetched movies that no one's really gonna understand", something along the lines of "Twelve Monkies". Especially as it involves a lot of travelling between places and worlds. However, within the first half hour the movie explains itself via a well played part by Laurence Fishbourne as the charachter Morpheous. This allows one to really get into the mood of the film. One may also be forgiven for actually believing the concept of the matrix, as the film opens up a whole can of worms about the nature of the world and it's dimensions. The visual effects in this movie are simply breathtaking. They remind me of the special effects found in Terminator2. The film is full of action and gives no time for one to get bored. The only dissapointment was the ending. The film seemed to finish a little abruptly and did not really explain how Neo (Keanu Reeves) finds the powers to defeat his enemies at the point of death, when all throughout the film he was struggling to do basic things with his powers. The positive side of the film was that it had the "Watch again appeal". Something I also found with the film "The Usual Suspects". Basically you want to watch it again to understand more about the film especially since the first viewing gives you the insight of the plot of the film. The second allows a deeper understanding of the scenes which were amibigous the first time round. The action scenes are another reason for watching the film again and again. This film definitley rates in my top ten and deserves to be added to the personal collection and put next to Titanic on the shelf.
Who said Wimbledon got relegated?!!!. I kid you not they are already back in the Premiership. Furthermore they have changed their name also. Their new name Is Tottenham Hotspur. I mean seriously, Over Half the Wimbledon squad is there. i.e Sullivan, Han Segars, Thatcher, Perry, Leonardson, scales not to mention the others scattered around other premiership squads like Carl Cort and more to follow. The club is not in the premiership in essence but it's players are. This is the reason why i believe that Wimbledon will remain in the First Division this year as they will not have the talent and depth of squad to pull back into the Premiership at the first time of asking. However much i want Wimbledon to be back amongst the top guns, i fear that they will become more like Crystal Palace who are just a First Division team now and are strugggling financially. Funnily enough they share the same ground. I hope Wimbledon use the money from the sales of their top players and bring in some quality otherwise more of Wimbledon will end up in the Premiership at teams like Spurs. Shame on you Spurs for hitting a team when down by nicking all their top players.
What is it about Harry Rednapp and over the hill players. He just loves buying players that were once stars in their youth. To prove my point I am referring to the likes of Ian Wright, Stuart Pearce and more recently Davor Suker and Winterburn. Although they may enhance the team for a season providing they stay fit, it does not hold for a long term solution. I was surprised he didn't make a bid for Ginola seeing that he is the ideal age for West ham at 33. It is however, refreshing to see the likes of Cole, Lampard and Ferdinand coming through. I however feel that Rednapp should look more towards youth and long term team building. I believe they are definitely top 6 material this season. A Champions league place will be beyond them this season. However if Harry Rednapp changes his policy and changes the short term policy with that of a long term strategy West Ham will not just be One season wonders if even that. It will be nice to see West Ham in Europe and a few more decent buys like that of Di Canio will bode well for the team. I believe Suker is a great bargain and will be great for them this season. He doesn't have many games at the top level left in those legs, so lets hope he finishes at West Ham on a high.
Concept 10/10, Reality 1/10. This site burst onto the scene earlier this year and promised people up to $50 per hour for watching adverts. I saw people advertising their URL.s on many bulletin boards on the different websites that I frequent, so being a curious person, I decided to check it out and see how I could make a quick buck on the side like many others. The site was impressive and easy to understand. I signed up and was told to wait until the Advision Control was available to download. The Advision Controller is a small visual toolbar through which one can choose to view adverts that are waiting to be seen. In the mean time however I sent my URL to all friends and families in the hope that when the Advision Controller was available I would also be able to earn money from adverts that my referrals watched. Months passed by and I had tottally forgotten about the Website when out of the blue I received a mail informing me that it was finally my turn to download the controller. I did so with great expectation of watching many adverts and maybe being able to pay for my holiday via earnings on bepaid.com. My excitement soon turned to dissapointment when I realied that I only had one advert to watch. Several weeks have passed since my download and I have now watched a wapping 3 ads altogether. My referrals to all my friends has been reputation damadging, since there is nothing worse than promising the earth and then failing to deliver. Although the concept is great and the ads are very well designed, the site will never take off unless there are a constant stream of adverts. My account currently stands at a massive $1.02. As for my holiday, well $1.02 will just about pay for a bus ride down to the park. Maybe I will be able to pay for my holiday via bepaid.com some time next century. If anything changes I will update my opinion, but don't hold your breath about this site un less you can get several hundred referrals.
If there ever was a time that Leeds United were the most popular team in the Country, then it was midway into Last season when they were top of the League and playing mesmerising Football. Most Neutrals were just hoping that they could sustain their run and end the Domination held by thier near neighbours Man Utd. Unfortunately as we all know they came mightily close but ran out of steam. As a neutral, it was really refreshing to see a team that had so many English Players (Martyn, Huckerby, Batty, Bowyer, Wilcox, Bridges and Smith) and be successful. Furthermore, I feel that they have the most talented player in the Premiership in Kewell. This guy is amazing, I would watch Leeds and Spurs game specifically to see how this guy and Ginola played and what they would do with the ball. If the Leeds squad can stay Injury free this season then they have a very strong chance of pushing Man Utd again for the title and suceeding. This is definitely gonna be a long season especially with Champions League commitments as well. Another few top quality signings will give Leeds that extra depth to last the whole Year. Another positive factor also has to be the fast learning and maturing Manager O'leary. He has learnt a great deal at Aresenal and Leeds under Graham and can easily emulate the success of His Mentor. He definitely has an eye for talent, and mark my words there will be a few new faces in the squad before long e.g Viduka, Rio Ferdinand I say bring on the new season, coz I can't wait any longer.
This man Hasslebank is the best signing this summer by any team in the Premiership. This man is a proven striker, with 20+ goals in Spain and in England over the last two seasons. His price tag may be high but maybe it's the ideal solution to a problem of a consistent goal scorer that they could not solve with Mr Sutton. As long as he stays fit, the good service Chelsea give to their front strikers will pay great dividends. Hasslebank should net 20+ this season and with a five way battle between Chelsea, Man Utd, Aresenal, Liverpool and Leeds. Chelsea may nip the title as long as they win the vital games against the top teams. However, I feel they will do better in Europe then the League as their Football will be more suited to the Continent Lets see a Trophy this season or Vialli head will have to roll.
The only thing that was keeping Leicester City up so far in the Premiership was a man by the name of Martin O'Neal. With a bunch of nobodies in the squad he built a successful and determined team around the likes of "Over the hill" Cottee, "Nobody wants you" Collymore and "West Ham reject" Impey. With a back four you wouldn't recognise if you bumped into them on a street. Martin O'neal has done a fantastic job in building a side that plays with great confidence and team work. I mean two Coco-Cola cups in three years is not bad at all bearing in mind that the year they didn't win, they lost to an Injury time goal in the Final. However, with the departure of O'Neal and his main young prodigy Mr Hesky, I fear the worst for Leicester especially since they haven't bought anybody of known pedigree. I am afraid my feelings are that they will be relagation candidates with a scrap on their hands at the end of the season. Keeping Collymore off the rails will be a tough task for the new manager to deal with along with the sides performance. All the best for the future. My advice is use that 11 million from Heskey on some quality.
I go here, I go there, I go everywhere, everybody in my family watches this soap, at first I couldn't understand the fascination watching other peoples dull lives in the East End of London. However, watching my mother watch each series with such great energy like the days of Dallas and Dynasty, made me sit and watch a few episodes, before I knew it I was hanging on for the next episode. All soaps do it but Eastenders has a nack of making good endings and having a good cast only helps in making this soap so successful. I find my brothers and my wife and my Mother - In - Law all follow the program and as you guessed it becomes a topic of discussion on most evenings in the living room. It's not a suprise Eastenders wins the Soap awards hands down every year. I believe its because people like watching other people in a similar situation and how they deal with lifes unpredictable way, it seems to give people a remedy for thier probleams and a way to relax and see other people go through the joys and sufferrings of life. I sometimes wonder how the writers keep going, but as long as they can churn out stories that keep the viewers tuning in this soap will remain on our TV's I say bring back Grant Mitchell and lets have a bit of reall ruff and tumble like the East End really is.
