Hi today I will be reviewing Microsoft Points
In case you haven't heard of these they are an online currency used by Microsoft for its Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live content.
On this particular product you get 2100 points this is worth around £17.50 you can get these in stores and online. If you buy through the Xbox or Xbox.com using a credit card then you can either buy 500, 1000, 2000 or 5000 points.
What can you buy?
You can get loads of different things these include:
Game add-ons - These allow you to extend your games with new content for example new campaign missions or map packs. These usually cost 800 points but can be higher or lower depending on the pack.
Arcade Games - These are smaller games that smaller companies create. They are usually quite good fun but don't normally last that long. These usually cost 800 MSP but again can be higher or lower depending on the game and how big it is.
Games on Demand - These are full Xbox 360 games. This service is quite new and is still quite expensive costing 2400MSP per game and the games usually cost £10 in the shops. 2400 Points is around £19.99
Themes and Gamer Pictures - the gamer pictures aren't really bought anymore because of the avatar function added with the NXE. Themes are still bought and for the premium themes (The ones designed for the NXE) cost 250MSP.
New Avatar Clothes - This is also a new feature which allows you to customise your avatar with premium clothes. These cost from around 50MSP - 250MSP but there is some which cost more than that. It depends on the company that created them.
Film - You can rent films with Microsoft Points. This lets you have the film for 7 days and then 24hrs when you first watch it. The cost varies for these.
One complaint I have about these is the packaging that they come in if you but in stores. The code for the points is on a small credit card size piece of plastic. This is inside a game case which seems a complete waste of plastic and space. A lot of people have complained to Microsoft about this and they say that they are looking into new ways of selling it. Asda have supposedly started selling pre pay cards which you can top up in Asda. I haven't seen these advertised in Asda.
I recommend anyone to get these if they loved a game but have then completed it as there is usually an add-on pack for them.
Thanks for reading and have a look at www.xbox.com for more information.
Hi today I will be reviewing Cyber Clean.
This is a cleaning product for things like keyboards phones or anything that has holes in it and needs a clean. The product itself is like putty and is supposed to have a lemon smell to it. I don't think it does but that's not a big problem as I don't really want my phone or keyboard smelling of lemon anyway.
When it arrives it's in a resalable plastic tub which has a yellow top and see through sides. It has a label which explains how to use it, tells you if it needs to be replaced (you can tell by the colour of it) and has information about the product and company
Cyber Clean looks like putty and feels like putty. It is fluorescent yellow. It changed colour when it is nearly needing replaced to a sort of light green and then when it needs to be replaced it is a dark green.
To use Cyber Clean you press it onto any surface and it clings to dirt and hairs. It also kills germs because of its special compound. I use this on my keyboard because it gets really dirty with dog hairs and stuff. It manages to pick up most stuff but it does leave some things.
It won't clean year's worth of dirt but will make everything look a lot nicer and work a lot better as well.
It costs around 5-10 pounds for the tub but there are also small packets which are also resalable.
It bought it from Amazon for £6 and free postage.
I would recommend this to anyone who has electronic equipment which needs to be cleaned.
Thanks for reading.
Hi today I will be reviewing Amazon.co.uk
This is one of the biggest shopping websites where you can find pretty much anything. I'm sure most of you have heard of this as it is an option to convert your Dooyoo miles into.
Music, DVD & Games
Computers and Office
Home & Garden
Toys, Children & Baby
Clothes, Shoes & Watches
Sports & Leisure
Health & Beauty
DIY & Tools
These categories are pretty self explanatory so I won't bore you and go into details.
If you know what you're looking for then there is a search bar which lets you type in keywords and will show you any matches sorted by what is most likely to be what you're looking for.
If you don't know what you're looking for then you can go through the categories. Sometimes the products aren't in the right category. You can almost find everything you're looking for and if you can then check again the next week and it will probably be there.
Depending whether you buy it from Amazon directly or if you're using one of the other private sellers (much like Play.com's Play & Trade service) the postage can vary. If you're using Amazon:
Free super saver delivery which can take 3-5 days
First Class which will cost £2.75 and will take 1-2 days
Express delivery which will cost £8.80 and will take a day if you order it early enough
I use the free delivery unless I am desperate for the item which is rare and it usually arrives in 2 days and in a few cases 4 days. Really the first class just means you're more likely to get it in a day.
If you use Amazon a lot then Amazon prime may be a good option for you. This gives you unlimited free one day delivery and costs £47.97 a year. You can get a free months trial of this when you sign up.
For games the package is a simple cardboard just bigger than a game box size which is folded so you cannot see that it's a game. So far since using Amazon I have never received a faulty or damaged item.
When you sign up to be a member you get your own homepage which will show you recommendation based on what you have:
These are usually quite good and if you're looking for something you want for a birthday or Christmas then this is a good place to look if you're stumped for ideas.
A great feature of Amazon is the wish lists which let you create your own list of things you would like. You can then share this list with other people and send it in emails ETC. As well as being able to share it people can search for you on Amazon and see your wish lists and they can then buy you the things you have on your wish list and Amazon will post it too you.
As I'm sure you know if you buy online using this site that there is LOADS of reviews these help you to decide whether or not you want to buy the item. This is particularly helpful when buying electronic items as you will know if they work properly. When you search for an item it will show you the average rating for each item which is calculated from the ratings and also the ratings from the review.
If you haven't used this site yet then you must as it is really cheap has almost every item you could ever need and has super fast (and free) postage.

Hi today I will be reviewing a Coin Sorter by Perfect Solutions.
This is a machine which sorts coins into cylinders which have the coin value and how many will fit into the cylinder printed on them.
The machine has a black casing with a grey top which has got a flat surface to put the coins before you sort them and on the other side it has a funnel sort of hole where you slide the coins into to sort. The slots where the coins go are see through and sit in plastic slots which are grey.
The machine sorts these coins:
1P - 50 will fit into the cylinders
2P - 25 will fit
5p - 40 will fit
10P - 50 will fit
20P - 50 will fit
50P - 40 will fit
£1 - 25 will fit
£2 - 25 will fit
When you turn the machine on it is quite loud but is only on for short periods of time so this isn't a problem. If you want to sort large amounts of coins you should use the flat surface next to the hole. Otherwise the machine will jam and need to take the grey lid off to move the coins.
On feature the machine has is an overflow tray which you can access by a flap at the back of the machine. Once the machine has sorted the coins you can retrieve them by pressing a button on the front of the machine. When you press this it pings out the all of the slots and cylinders by using springs. A problem with this is when the slots are full if you use the button on the front and don't hold the slots it usually pings a few coins out.
Apart from these problems the machine does what its meant to and is effective at doing so.

Hi today I will be reviewing the New Xbox Experience or as most people know it the new dashboard update.
In case you can't remember the old dashboard or have never had an Xbox 360 before the old dashboard was well boring it had 5 "blades" which had all of the content on them and they were well quite dull.
The NXE is a lot more exciting and came packed with amazing new features including:
Avatars - These are basically better and more detailed versions of the Nintendo characters. These allow you to create your own character which is fully customizable in that you can change height fatness clothes how their face looks pretty much everything.
Parties - This feature allows you to chat with up to 8 people at once unlike the old Private chat which was only 1 on 1 chat. This feature is a great improvement as it is brilliant for clan matches or if you want to speak to all of your friends at once.
New Video Marketplace - It is now even easier to find films which you can rent or music videos and trailers because all of the video content has its own marketplace.
As well as these new features the dashboard now looks a lot more exciting as you can see your friends' avatars and the layout of the content makes everything easier to find.
To download this update all you need to do is connect to Xbox Live and press update when you are prompted to do so. This update is free and you don't have to have a gold membership to download. You can also get the NXE by buying new games like Fight Night Round 4 as these games are bundled with the new dashboard
This update was released on the 17th of November 2008.
There has been a recent change to the NXE which has added a whole heap of new features these include:
Games on Demand - You can now purchase full Xbox 360 games from the marketplace and use your credit card or Microsoft Points to do so. These all cost £19.99 or 1600 MSP. There are around 10 games available but more will be added soon. Quite a lot of people have been complaining about the price me being one of them. Some of the games that you have to pay £19.99 for you can buy in the sops for around £8. Microsoft's answer to this is that it is a lot quicker and more convenient to download. I don't think this is the case as it will take a few days to download the 8GB of data this obviously depends on your internet connection.
Avatar Marketplace - You can now download clothes for your avatar this includes avatar props which are items that your avatar plays with when people view them. To download these items it costs Microsoft points the Tops cost around 80MSP and the props are around 240MSP. My favourite prop is the Star Wars Lightsaber.
Netflix - You need to be in the US to use this
Xbox Live veterans - It now shows in your profile how many years you have been a member for.
Parties update - It is now easier to invite people to parties. There is this cool ne feature which automatically reconnects you to a party if you get disconnected. This is brilliant if you have a dodgy connection which drops out every so often.
Account Recovery - This service is now a lot faster.
User ratings - You can now rate any content that is available on the marketplace. This is done by a 5 star rating. As well as being able to rate the content you can see the average rating it has received this is great for the community games as you can tell if they are going to be good or not.
Community games - These are games that have been created by the community. This update to this feature is the name it has been changed from community games to Indie Games.
Achievement Browser - When you have a look at your achievements it takes a while to find out what you need to do to unlock it they have now changed it to a thumbnail system which when you put the curser over the achievement it shows the text about how you need to unlock it at the top of the screen.
Achievement tracking - In the profile section of the dashboard it now tells you how many games you have unlocked all achievements for and also shows you how much Gamerscore you could have if you completed every game.
Voice messages - It now tells you if you are about to send a blank voice message. This update is good because I used to always get sent blank voice messages.
System settings - This screen has been made easier to navigate.
Memory - You can now see what time each thing is saved in your memory.
As you can see a lot of things have been added to the new dashboard and there is still more things coming including Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM, and Zune Radio.
I think this update is a brilliant addition to an already great console and just shows that the Xbox has great capabilities and is constantly changing.
Microsoft is saying that they are hoping to keep the Xbox going for at least another 10 years with new updates and stuff.
I recommend signing up to Xbox live even if it is just to get this new dashboard.
Thanks for reading.
Also the picture realted to the update on this site is not what the update actually looks like :)
Hi today I will be reviewing SPB Mobile shell for Windows Mobile devices.
If you have a Windows Mobile device you will be familiar with the today screen.
This program removes the need for this and replaces it with a fully customizable starting screen with scrollable pages and iPhone like apps list.
Integrated Weather- Much like the SPB weather program I reviewed this gives you a 5 day forecast of 1 or more cities
Integrated Agenda view - In the Professional Home screen it shows you the next 2 upcoming events you have entered on your calendar.
World Time - Shows you the time of anywhere in the world (Haven't used this myself)
Wireless Manager - Allows you to turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and turn the phone on flight mode all in one place.
Profiles - Allows you to quickly change from loud to silent or vibrate in one place.
Fully customizable menus - Allows you to choose what you want on your program list where you want them and also lets you choose which features you want on the start screen. I for example have An analogue clock, Weather view, Battery indicator, Padlock (locks phone), Email text messages and missed calls view (shows how many of each you have).
I use the Lifestyle home as my primary start menu which has the above as well as a program list which appears when I scroll my finger from one side to the other and when I do it to the other side it shows:
Windows Media Player shortcuts (allows to play, choose playlist, go back or forward).
Digital Clock and date
As well as the Lifestyle menu there is the Professional Home which you can't change the layout has:
Weather, Digital clock and the date
Text message missed calls and emails
Another Main feature of this program is Facebook integration which for you contacts will be able to obtain a picture of your contact from your Facebook friends list. To use this feature you must have an internet connection, Facebook profile, your contact on your Facebook friends list and your contact must have a picture of themselves on their profile.
As well as all these great things there is on the start menus the ability to display a carrousel of all the different menus this includes:
Lifestyle Home - See Above
Professional Home - See above
Edit Profile - Allows you to change Ring volume, System Sounds Volume, Ring Tone and Ring Type
Time - Shows the World Time Feature (See above)
Agenda - Shows Full Agenda and Calendar
Weather - Displays Weather program See above
Contacts Carrousel - Shows a carrousel of your favourite contacts
SPB Contacts - Displays a full list of your contacts
Favourite Contacts - Allows you to choose your favourite contacts and displays a thumbnail of a picture you can choose from Facebook or you camera.
Call Log - Shows which calls you received, missed or made
SPB Menu - Allows you to access the Organizer, Internet Browser, Multimedia, Tools, Programs, Settings, Messaging and My Shortcuts
Launcher - Allows you to access Favourite Links and Recently Used programs
One problem I have with this program is that it makes the phone take double the time to start up and sometimes the menu changes are a bit jerky. This is mainly because i have a low range Windows Mobile device.
Other than those problems this program works as it's meant to.
To download this program you can go to the SPB website and it will cost you $29.95 which is £18.08 from today's exchange rate provided by the Microsoft sidebar converter. It takes about 10 minutes to install because it soft restarts a few times. It takes up just under 5MB and the download size is just under 7MB. As well as getting this great product you get SPB reward points which you can put towards other SPB products. In this program you get 6 Rewards points.

Hi today I will be reviewing SPB Weather for Windows Mobile Devices.
This is a program that works on Windows Mobile devices that uses the internet to display the weather for the 5 days. It can connect using either a WiFi connection or GPRS.
I use this program on my MWG Zinc II and it doesn't use that much RAM as you can choose whether to check for weather manually or have the program automatically check at certain time intervals.
When you go into the program as you can see by the image above it shows a picture of the weather, the day, the maximum temperature and minimum temperature.
When you first enter the program it asks you to select which city you live in and then you can also add extra places that you may wish to know the weather for.
I find this program works well using a touch screen device as you can switch between city's by using your finger from one side of the screen to the other.
So far having used this for about 6 months I haven't encountered any problems with it and if you did because its made by SPB there is excellent support available.
This costs $19.95 which is £12.20 and installs in about 2 minutes.

Hi today I will be reviewing Energizer AA 2500 mAh Rechargeable Batterys.
You can buy these from Amazon for cheapest £7.05 I got them for £10 from B&Q and I got a charger as well.
I recommend fully charging these for first time use. I put them on for a day. From the full charge I managed to get a week use out of them. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week.
While using the official charger for this product it takes around 6 hours to charge fully (Overnight).
I find that these batteries are a little larger than the usual AA batteries because in my Xbox controller when I first got them in they took quite a lot of force to get them out again. After using them for quite a lot it seems to have stretched the battery pack so it's fine now.
I believe that these batteries are good for the price and if you buy the charger you get 4 for free included with it. They last longer than the usual AA battery which is great for Xbox users as it means you won't have any disconnections during any online games and then you can charge it overnight.
I recommend these to anyone looking to save some money on batteries.
Thanks for reading.
Hi today I will be reviewing an Advent USB 2.0 7 Port Hub.
You can get this for £10 off eBay UK.
This Hub has 7 ports:
1 on one side
4 on the other side
2 On the top concealed by a silver flap.
In the box you get:
The 7 port USB Hub
Mini USB - USB cable
As you can see by the picture it is a tubular design and it lights up blue when power is inputted.
I found that I didn't need to follow the instructions as it was straight forward involving plugging the Mini-USB cable into the device and the other end to my laptop, plugging the power cable into the device and the other end into the mains and finally plugging all my devices into the machine. There isn't a disc you need to install or anything like that.
All of the 7 ports are USB 2 and powered ports if you are going to stick heavy usage devices on the Hub I suggest using the supplied mains cable.
I use this mainly for my memory sticks as they use up a lot of my laptop USB slots so having this makes room for my external hard drive which cannot be placed on an external Hub.
The only complaint I have with this device is that the mini USB - USB cable is quite short so you have to have the device quite near your computer or laptop. I found this out when moving my laptop the mini USB connector nearly snapped and bent 90 degrees luckily it still worked and I just bent it back into shape.
If you use Windows Ready boost with any of your memory sticks then this isn't for you it isn't fast enough to have memory sticks plugged in to it. I have to put my memory stick into my laptop for it to be able to use Ready boost.
Apart from these problems this is a great USB Hub and to solve the small cable you can just plug in a different cable.

Hi today i will be reviewing BBC Radio 1.
I usually listen to Radio 1 at night as its something to do while trying to get to sleep (not a bad thing!). I personally enjoy the Chris Moyles Show and Scott Mills mainly because I find Chris funny and Scott has some great features from the old angry pizza man wind up to the new Whats Becky's Forté
which features Becky the Assistant Producer trying to find that talent she excels at.
The Chris Moyles show is different than most other shows on Radio 1 in that its not just the presenter that gets involved the whole team have a great time and in turn help you to get ready for whatever your going to.
During the day there is Jo Whiley, Sarah Cox and Edith Bowman. I personally don't listen to these just because I'm usually busy. For the few times I have listened to them they do film reviews phone ins and play lots of music compared to Chris Moyles.
In The evening there is Zane Low who brings a lot of new music and Westwood. I don't listen to these mainly because Westwood annoys me and Zane Low from when I have listened to him isn't funny and I enjoy comedy.
At night there used to be Collin Murray who has now left sadly. I used to listen to him for his great Black Hole feature in which listeners of the show send in clips they have found on the Internet from the sesame street count with the words bleeped out to make it sound dirty to great undiscovered talent.
Early mornings are currently filled by Greg James. The only time I hear him is if i listen to Chris Moyles early. He seems to be really nice and up for anything as you will find out if you listen to any of the other shows as hes usually featured somehow.
On the weekends there is great people like Vernon Kay and Dick and Dom used to be on not sure if they still are. On Sunday there is the chart show hosted by Ferne and Reggie. Then late on Sunday there is Switch which is a combination of shows including The Surgery where listeners get help with their problems. This show is hosted by Aled the producer from The Chris Moyles Show.
All in all This is a great radio station obviously as its the BBC you get the feeling everyone is being over cautious and trying not to offend anyone but it doesn't affect the entertainment too much.

Hi today I will be reviewing the 2006 Fifa World Cup game for the Xbox 360.
I paid £3.99 in Gamestation a while ago.
The graphics for the time this game was release are really quite good u can almost see the individual blades of grass in the build up to the game.
The gameplay in this game is OK the players move extremely fast compared to the likes of Fifa 2009. There is a flaw in the scoring that all you need to do is play a through ball become 1 on 1 with the goalie and tap it and 9 times out of 10 it goes in.
In this game there is the main world cup mode and also global challenges. In global challenges you have to recreate classic games in order to complete the primary and secondary objectives. These make the game last a lot longer. I personally used to love this game until Fifa 2009 came out as this game truly is brilliant.
In this game there is the usual 1000GS there is an easy 500 to be achieved as you only have to get 4 achievements the other 500GS are achieved by completing the global challenged which as the difficulty seems to increase as you go along this can take a long time. I have only managed to get the 500 but am still working on the other 500!
The actual game used to be the best in my opinion until Fifa 09 came out as no football game can beat that.
I would recommend this to any football fan that doesn't want to spend the £30 on Fifa09 but still wants a good football game.
Hi today I will be reviewing Half life 2 The orange box for the Xbox 360.
I paid £19.99 for this brand new at Gamestation.
As this is a collection of 5 different games each with different graphics it's hard to say if they are good or bad.
In the orange box there are 5 different games these are:
Half life 2 episode 1
Half life 2 episode 2
Team fortress 2
These are all First person shooters
Half life 2
This is the biggest game in the orange box lasting around 14-15 hours. You play as Gordon Freeman and your enemy is the combine. The controls are standard first person shooter and take about 5 minutes to get used to. You use an array of different and special weapons including a gravity gun which you can use to pick up various items and throw them at your enemy
Half life 2 episode 1
This adds around 5-6 hours of extra gameplay. The controls are basically the same and you end up using the gravity gun throughout most of it.
Half life 2 episode 2
This adds more vehicles and follows on from the other two episodes.
This is my personal favourite. You are a subject in an experiment called Chell where you have to participate in various puzzles set by Glados a master computer by using a portal creator which makes either a blue or orange oval portal which when you step into transports you to the other portal. This game is probably the best game in the orange box and is worth buying the orange box just for this. This game is now available for download on to the Xbox360 arcade for 1200MSP.
Team fortress 2
This is a multiplayer only first person shooter which you compete against players around the world in different game modes on different maps. This game is not the best only multiplayer game but even though it is quite old there are still a lot of people playing online so you can always find a match.
Although there are 5 games in the orange box there is still only 1000GS which means that most achievements are only worth 5GS meaning there is 99 achievements to unlock. There is a mixture of hard and easy achievements but it will take a long time to unlock the full 1000GS.
The fact that for £19.99 you get 5 full games this is an absolute bargain. If it was £19.99 I would have still bought it just for Portal which is possibly the best puzzle game ever made in my opinion.
I would recommend this to anyone who is bored of their current games and are looking for something to do. This will last a very long time.
Hi today I will be reviewing Lost via domus for the Xbox 360. This game is called Lost in the UK and not Via Domus.
I bought this game from what used to zavvi for £2.62 (40% off) in there closing down sale.
For the time this game was released the graphics are average and nothing special.
The game becomes a little repetitive after a while as you have to keep going back to the same places over and over again. I found my self using a guide because it gets extremely boring trying to find where your meant to go.
In total there are 7 "episodes" in total each lasting around 10 minutes or 5 if using a guide.
If you do buy the Xbox 360 version of the game there are achievements which when unlocked give you gamerscore. These are extremely easy to unlock as it just requires a quick play through of the game.
This game if based on the Sky series Lost which is extremely popular. You follow a character who is a journalist who has lost his memory. The storyline in the game is almost a sideline of the actual Lost storyline so doesn't spoil much of the series. I personally got bored very quickly of this game because there is no real incentive to carry on playing. When you go through the game you encounter flashbacks where you have to take pictures of various things to help recover your memory.
I would only recommend this game if you are an absolute fan of Lost or looking for a quick 1000 gamerscore.
Hi today I will be writing a review on a Buffalo Drivestation 1Terabyte external USB2.0 Hard Disk Drive.
I purchased this from Amazon.co.uk for £69.98 I believe they are now £79.98 as Amazon are out of stock.
This is a 1TB hard drive which is 1024GB. The actual size is around 931GB due to software and because you always lose some space for windows stuff.
This hard drive is quite small at 25 x 23 x 9 cm and is quite light although while in use shouldn't be moved around.
It looks really nice with curved edges and stands quite well with the rubber feet. There is a green light on the top which flashes when being used.
The main reason I purchased this hard drive was because it was the cheapest I could see on Amazon. It also had mainly positive reviews with only a few saying it didn't work on MAC computers. I have personally had no problems with this hard drive except when I installed Nero 8 onto it as I unplugged the hard drive to move my laptop and because Nero runs in the background it corrupted Nero and had to be reinstalled. This was my fault and not the hard drives as you shouldn't install any programmes that run in the background onto an external hard drive.
I have installed a lot of games onto the hard drive and I found it to be just as fast if not quicker installing them to this rather than the internal hard drive on my laptop. Even though this is USB and not Sata, Firewire ETC. It still runs extremely fast.
The hard drive comes with an application called Turbo USB which splits a file into smaller parts and transfers them at the same time (or something like that) this increases the transfer speed dramatically.
Also included on the hard drive is another application which is ECO setting in other words this will turn the hard drive off after 10 minutes of not being used and also turns it back on when files RE accessed. I do not use this feature as it caused some problems when running games which are not constantly accessing the hard drive.
For the price of this hard drive it is extremely useful as for a good 1TB hard drive it costs around £100 whereas this £70 does the job just as well if not better.
I would recommend this hard drive to anyone wanting to extend space on there computer/laptop or is looking to back up important files cheaply.
Today I will be reviewing Halo 2 for Windows vista.
I bought this a few months ago for around £17 of amazon.co.uk as i had just bought the Microsoft Wireless receiver with a wireless controller and this had been recommended to go with.
As this is the same as the original Xbox version released years ago the story is the same. Halo 2 carries on where the first halo left of and adds a new character called the arbiter.
Exclusive to windows
New maps for online multiplayer
Achievements (1000 GamerScore)
Updated Graphics - The weapons look basically the same I.E. the shotgun still looks extremely thin but the levels look a lot nicer
New Maps - You get 2 new maps to use on multiplayer
Achievements - Requires a Games for Windows Live account or Xbox Live account these are a mixture of online and offline level completion achievements
Map Editor - Edit the map and share it online with other players
You NEED Windows Vista
1GB Ram and 7GB free space
And a decent video card
I use Vista, have 1.8GHz Processor, 2GB Ram, the full 7GB space, an ok video card and it runs fine as with most games that can't be said for the other people who play online!
Uses server type play where you search through a list of games and join one you like there is a few dedicated servers where companies host the games and they are on most of the day. There is also some user hosted games as well with personally created maps and game types.
Slayer - A free for all shoot everyone you see game mode
Team slayer - same as above but in teams
King of the hill - Fight to control the hill
Team king of the hill - same as above but with teams
Capture the flag - there is different types of this but they are all teams
Oddball - Fight to control the ball for the longest time
Team Oddball - Same as above but teams
Assault - Get the bomb and run to the other base arm it and you win this is always a team game
User created game types - These include zombies which is like team slayer but one team has special abilities like travel super fast and jump super high
There may be other game modes but I haven't played halo 2 in a while as I've been on halo 3 :)
There are 23 multiplayer maps including the two exclusive to windows maps. This isn't including user created maps
As I stated earlier on I use the Xbox 360 controller to play this and the controls are exactly the same as on the original Xbox. I believe the keyboard controls are more complicated but I'm sure you could get used to them.
I would recommend checking your system specifications before buying it as with any other PC game it is quiet hard to play it properly when its running extremely slow. Before buying it remember to check if you have windows Vista as it needs to have it, it won't run on XP!
I personally love this game being a halo fan and since my xbox broke it seemed like a good option to buy. I would rate this 4 out of 5 because the graphics and levels look alot nicer now but the guns still look too thin!
I would recommend this to any halo fan or a first person shooter fan.
I had no problems installing the game just hard disk space.
