This game is just like l4d 1 but everything that was bad about that game has been improved in this one. Still a few minor glitches but its fun, and thats what you want in a game.
I dont recommend this game if you are buying it for solo play. This game is designed for online and the game modes arent the same without other players. Trust Me!!!
A few problems is that it does get a bit repetetive once you have completed the campaigns. Even though they have added Scavenge to the list it still seems like a once in a while game to play. Its not as full on addicting and exciting as something like MW2. Another problem is that the servers seem to be abit dodgey every once in a while. Not all the time but sometimes i experience lag alot and it isnt my connection because every other online game i play i am full bars. Its only a temporary problem though. Doesnt happen to often.
I do recommend this game for online purposes but not for solo play. You will find it boring once youve completed everyhting (which doesnt take that long)
Overall good game and very fun to play with mates =)
I had been waiting for this game to come down in price for quite some time, and so when it had i pounced on it like a cat and my gosh i was not disappointed. . My main reason for wanting this game was how fun it looked and how i could play it without a care in the world. Both are true and its a magnificent game.
The graphics are good and cute (sorry no other word i could use to describe it!) and the sound is again.....cute -.- (grr!!)
This game makes you feel like a child and with all the evil ninjas running around shouting "mini ninjas" its hard not to get a cheesy grin and with the a secondary objective in each level to free the captive animals, which can i say look....cute...its again hard not to have fun.
In total i would deffinately get this game no matter who the gamer is, it brought a smile to my face i'm sure it will do the same for you!
i have given the game 4* purely because i have not played it enough...unfortunately my great gaming love is Fifa and so this game (actually no game) gets much from me as i end up playing fifa...but based on what i have played of the game there is nothing wrong..it's pure simple fun!
What an amazing game. From beginning to end it keeps you addicted.
Bayonetta could be the saviour of the modern video game, this is how I remember playing games made me feel when I first stated playing them.
It's cool, fun, you have to have one more go and there is so much to do and collect which demands multiple play through's. When Microsoft introduced gamerscore's it was to induce the the level of dedication to a game to get people to keep playing a game to get the most out of it when games developers were becoming lazy. Sega have rekindled that feeling with the game itself rather than the gamerscore.
Everyone should buy this game full stop.
Play from beginning to end on Normal difficulty and then start again on Hard and again and again, the collectables, weapons and costumes are worth every blistered thumb and late night.
BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY.
PLAY PLAY PLAY PLAY.
BAYONETTA BAYONETTA BAYONETTA
Shout it from the roof tops
This is a review of the beta that I was lucky to take part of. If you are one of the many fans of COD4's multiplayer then I'm sure you will enjoy this. Lots of people have been saying that taking COD back to World War II is a bad idea, but I don't think so. Because the multiplayer feels so much like COD4's it's almost like just having a brand new set of weapons and maps. This is a good thing if you enjoyed COD4's multiplayer but a bad thing if you wanted something particularly different. The weapons feel good and are fun to use. The maps on the beta I personally don't think they are as good as Infinity Wards set of maps. I cant say why I don't like them, I just don't find them as fun to play on as COD4 ones, my opinion might change in time I don't know. The tanks in the game are quite fun to use reasonably balanced so that about two rockets will destroy them but if no one on your team has a rockets they can be a bit of a pain especially if four of the other team are sat in them. Overall just on the view of the beta I will be buying this game and if you enjoyed COD2, 4 or even 3 I recommend it.
The game stylistically is gorgeous; the settings, idea of living conditions, etc, etc. but this game is meant to be played, not wander around looking at what it would look like after an apocalypse. The game is quite a struggle to work out effective gameplay as the controls are quite unusual and away from the norm.
There are issues with the aiming system, the ammo situation is completely a joke as when you need it, there's none, when you don't need it there's none. by the time you get round to being able to afford a better gun and upgrading your weapons the games over. the economy behind it is not sufficient. Theres also too much to keep track of such as your ammo, your air filter levels, your gas mask condition, your health which, in the event you get mauled by any of the weirdly placed packs of lurkers, all of these run out/ break very quickly as head shot does not always mean kill shot. A brilliant game in theory but poorly executed, a shame really.
Ok dont get me wrong i did enjoy playing this, graphics are superb and the free running element is still second to none BUT. I just found it all a bit repepitive. If you played the first game which suffered with the exact same problem you will know what i mean, it just got boring doing the same thing over and over then you open up a new area then go and do what you been doing for the past 2hrs on the previous area all over again. 1. run around find job/mission. 2. run across roof tops to location and find target. 3. kill henchmen which lets be honest once you get to grips with the fighting system it wouldnt matter if their were 100 enemies as it only takes minor skills to kill these fools(not to mention the smokebombs). 4. kill target.Def worth a play through but dont feel that at full price it offers value for money. Personally i wish i had waited for the price to come down.
but thats because its only competition, Pro evolution soccer, has been absent, or so it would seem, the past 2 years or so.
Having said that i am an avid Football fan and even more so for football games and therein fifa. It is my game so to speak.
This is the only game for me at this period, this game gets me off of Battlefield 2, FFXIII and even Mass Effect 2 and as any gamer would realise those games are no push overs.
Graphically fifa is top notch. Slick visuals with animations working every time and very realistic each and every time, even so for the refs. Players look a lot like real life players, notably Messi, Lampard and Torres.
Gameplay wise fifa is again ahead of the game with the 360 degree dribbling working an absolute treat and again is very realistic in movement etc. Shooting works well although after a few hundred games or so you will realise that, like with Fifa 09, that there become certain points from which you can score from, having played easily over 700 games online i can comfortably say that it is apparent. Other than that it works well the shooting mechanics. Another feature is jostling although as far as i can tell all one has to do is hold the LT when in contact with the opposition which is not as complicated as first thought, albeit a bit too simple.
The main problem for me is that of the AI of goalkeepers and the Refs. With the goalkeepers they have a real love for charging the striker when he is clear on goal, which then makes the way-too-easy-chipping an option and inevitably a goal, this is a huge problem and becomes more prominent after many many games. Now with that of the ref. It appears that the ref gives a foul for ANY tackle from behind no matter whether it is a slide tackle or not also the whole jostling idea can lead to a foul and it is hard to determine whether to make that last ditch tackle as it is possible that you could give away a penalty.
In short the game is very very good, easily my favourite game for the 360 at the moment, however you as the buyer may want to know that Fifa 2010 World Cup is out at the end of the month ( April) which will be a mid-point between Fifa 10 and Fifa 11 so it may be worth waiting for that game. Hope this helps!
Lets get one thing straight! the main character 'Jacky' belongs in a Goth Band and not the mafia!.... ok now thats out of the way lets begin. The Darkness really took me by suprise, i picked it up cheap and was not all that impressed..at first. But then the well written story grips you and you're on a rollercoaster ride to Hell and back, quite literally may i add. Before you know it you're tossed head first into an emotional headcase of game that includes Dark graphics, Family deaths, Revenge and a very awfully realistic adaptation of your characters Hell. there is a multiplayer mode to this game but i never tried it so i cant comment on that side, but i would recomend you try this game if you enjoy FPS games that are very story driven. one last thing, this aint no kids game! its far to violent with bad langauge and i would urge any parent to take heed to this warning before allowing your child to purchase this game.
I'll talk first about the campain. I was looking forward to it after playing COD 4, and i think the storyline for the campain on MW2 is very good. However, i just feel like half the time your running around like a bit of a headless chicken, killing a million russian blokes. At times i wonder why they didn't call it call of duty : Rambo.
But no-one really cares about the campain much, everyone plays it for the multiplayer. At first, its amazing. Just so many guns, perks and challenges to toy with, hours of endless fun. Then, after playing it for a while, you start to notice the bugs, and the problems with the online. I seriously think the next Call of duty game needs to work out which guns are more powerful than others. thats the biggest problem with the game. I like to play 'core' team deathmatch because i can use the radar and work with my team, but its ridiculous when using the guns and the damage they deliver. For example; you unlock the AK-47 at the very last level, so you expect it to be more powerful than the other guns, but its not. Guns you unlock at later levels deal the same damage as the guns at level 5. Why? It takes a whole round of the ACR to kill someone, but 2 shots with the G18 machine pistol??? Whats that all about? Snipers are not always 1 shot 1 kill. Why?
Then there's the rambo's running around kniving everyone. And if you havent got cold blooded your doomed on maps like rust if theres a chopper gunner in the air. And the last stand pistol seems to deal quite a LOT of damage...
Overall, i could keep writing but i think people know what i would say. Silly little tweaks like what i have described need to be sorted so the next COD is enjoyable to play online
The game starts off very slowly, with silly missions and constantly turning in. U have 2 do the same pointless missions again once uv completed it even though u know how 2 throw a grenade. Once u get past this silly phase it becomes a great game. Online Co-op is where its best even if u have no friends :( , as u can meet people whho help u and u help than and none of them give u abuse. V.Fun. Graphics are good as they are different and some-what special! Ranking up is not hard yet not easy and with DLC raises it another 11 levels. Relativley easy achievments i got 900g within 1 and a half days without the DLC. All in all as the title says VERY GOOD GAME! I would highly recommend this to all players wether you like fps or 3rd person get it this is a great game!
