Sony in my eyes have always been one of the best visuals/sound companys around for years there products are reliable and of good quality and I have had no quibbles or hesitations in purchasing one of there products. OK I will get on with the op now. Sony HMD A220 FD 17" Monitor is another new product which i have recently purchased. It is more than a standard monitor its good looking with a silver finish to the front. The screen is A flat Trinitron to say the least its that flat the screen seems to curve in rather than out. This is not a bad thing its soothing to the eyes you notice the diffrence immediatly the monitor is turned on and you bootup windows. It has a refresh rate of 88fps @ 1024 x 768. The next good thing to note is it has 5 usb ports 4 are for connecting your usb devices too and one at the back of the monitor which connects to your usb port on the back of your pc if you have one (if not the usb function on your monitor will not work but hey its still a great monitor).I have alot of usb devices and the monitor handles the lot no conflictions just works 100%. There are 2 buttons on the front of the monitor a power button and the control button which is a directional button its a bit fiddly but you don`t need to use it much once you set it to how you like it. On the top of the monitor is a slot large enough to place your cd case that you are using at the time in your cdrom drive(a bit sad really but hey someone got paid loads for that idea). The monitor does not have a swivel base like most. It has two legs on the front and an additional bit to place on the back to make it level which is what I have choose to do but it depends on your own preference. So all in all for the price which is around £270 you get a built in usb hub to your monitor and a flat screen which is far more cheaper than the wafer monitors and better for your eyes(being totally honest i have not seen much diffrence between this mo nitor and the wafer monitors at twice the price).Go check out this Sony monitor im sure youll be impressed has good reviews everywhere even on dooyoo !!now!! he he . Last of all before i go there is one thing that you may not be too impressed about you may know as the screen is so flat you see 2 lines going horizontaly across the screen (approx 4" from the top and 4" from the bottom) THIS IS NOT A FAULT its the shadow of the wire that make the screen so flat and fine tuned and you only notice it on a plain white back ground and it does not interfear at all with your day to day operation of your pc its a small price to pay for up to date techy gadgets .
Hello again heres another Product that I have recently purchased and what a gadget it is the Plextor 16xW 10xRW 40xread Burnproof writer. I have purchased this writer over 24 hours ago and i havent stopped grinning since. It is an amazing product for £195 it comes complete with ide cable and audio cables this drive has a connection for spdif audio if your sound card accepts it digital audio and standard audio too.The software is 4 disks with the manual on 1disk as well as 3 diffrent assorted writing utilities (of which i preffer to use CloneCD NOT INCLUDED). The drive does prefer its own ide socket but it can still be shared with no problems as mine shares my dvd drive and I have had no problems so far but you must leave it as the master drive (dont adjust jumper on the back of drive). This drive is exceptionally fast at recording but the down side is there is not much software around that takes to 16 speed writers Disc Juggler accepts 14 speed clonecd accepts 12 speed but hey 4 mins a disc still makes me smile and the really good news is I surf the net and copy a disc with out the worry that its gonna chuck out anymore because they will not. Believe me I have tried to make the drive chuck a disc out but it wont do it it just waits until you are finished and it starts again where it left off. My advise would be if you are in the market for a writer this is the one to go for. Still not convinced then READ ON........... If and i mean if you get any problems at all then you have a 1 year in your home repair or replace guarantee its exellent ring them and they will come to your home and either fix it or replace it no waiting for return drives etc you dont even have to go out of your house. You really cant go wrong with this drive and its pretty future proof too.
Hi all well here is another opinion of mine that i must tell you about. I recently purchased a networking kit after a lot of research i decided to go for the Netgear Network Starter Kit(model SB105) as it contained everything i needed to setup my 2 pc`s. 2 x 10/100 FA311 PCI networking cards 2 x 3 meter category 5 cable with RJ-45 Connectors. 1 x EN2005 Ethernet Hub + power supply. 1 X Driver disk. 1 x Resources cd. Good news Netgear has included pictures so you cant go wrong. It took me 2 hrs from start to finish and that included me eating my tea and popping to the shops etc. Now the really good news is that you can upgrade this kit to run at 100mbps by simply purchasing a faster hub. The cards and cable are all 10/100mbps so they do not need to be upgraded again. Before you say huh 10mbps I would want 100mbps if you are moving loads of large files 1gb or more great but for swapping normal files and accessing other pcs 10mbps is more than enough linked to play games is great fun and 10mbps is well fast enough it doesnt hold games back 10mbps is ample speed for these types of usage. You can obtain 100mbps hubs for around £60 just the hub that is. I paid £49.00 for my set at pc world they are normally £69 so get there fast i have been set up for 2 days now and not a problem at all WELL DONE NETGEAR p.s. Netgear has a free help line if you need it.
I have been reading all of the opinions on this company, and wholeheartedly agree. We have 4 boys, and plenty of Little Tikes equipment hanging around the house. It is sturdy and unbreakable, so far anyway. We have a walker, a rocking entertainer, a tricycle, and my toddlers favourite, his car transporter and little cars. Even when the older boys used the cars as rollerskates, they stood up to it, and showed no ill effects. The transporter has loads of features including a liftdown tailgate and interchangable lorry cab. Although these toys are on the large side, and are slightly more expensive than less superior makes, they really are well worth the extra, and I have no hesitation in buying more Little Tikes products. They are easy to clean and made of blown plastic. Unfortunately we live in a maisonette with no garden so the very large toys are out of the question, but if we had the chance, I am sure that nanny would put them in her garden. I really would suggest that you pay the extra too, the quality is astounding, and the products bright and cheerful and do not weather or go out of fashion. I really don't have a problem in buying these toys secondhand as the quality does not deteriorate. If you know anyone getting rid of the small folding slide I am interested. 10 out of 10 to Tikes
I think that if those tv companys out there only made the tv to receive all channels except BBC channels and that way we wouldnt have to pay for the tv licence and if you want BBC channels then you should be able to get a decoder so its possible to watch it (like digital tv). AT THIS TIME A TV LICENCE IS £108. its just to much you have no choice If you have a tv you gotta get a licence,if you got a video but no tv you gotta get a licence, the same for satelite there is no excuse but to pay up (which i do and always have but not that i like the idea it just aint worth the hastle arguing over it at the door). So take out BBC frequencies and hey you dont gotta pay cos you cant receive BBC channels.
Hi again putting finger to keyboard once more to tell you about the amazing TIGGER MOVIE (spelt Ti double g er ). This is a great film for all ages and THERE IS NO VIOLENCE other than tigger jumping on to people but hey its his movie. Its not the usual slow and pointless story it does actually have a good storyline that even adults could take a note or two about and it will have you laughing and crying and very rarly you could watch it over and over again . Ihave 4 boys aged 10 months 8y 10y 11y and they loved the film from begining to end and all over again and even making excuses that the baby wants to watch it. I suppose wot makes this movie a hit is that there are other characters that join in which make the funny bits like simba & timone in the lion king always up to there antics there is quite a bit of this in the tigger movie (spelt Ti double g er ). Tigger himself is in his prime in this movie as he is very active (very suspicious)could he be on anything all i know is i could do with whatever it is he`s having. So if you havent brought it yet wot you waiting for i bet your laughing within ten minutes of watching. Price now theres a thing to be discussed seperatley to this SHOP AROUND is all i can say we paid £21:99 for a DVD version and then found it for £16:99 and on the net its even cheaper. video is the usual selling price of £11:99 but have seen it for £15:99 too so shop around
Ok i brought this scanner recently after my friend has one has had it for a few yeas it cost approx £500 then. Its very well made and at the moment they chuck in £350 of scanner software you all may laugh and say same old rubbish but its not its great all on one disk and a second disk with the drivers. The scsi card was easy to fit and it comes with a normal parallel port lead no nead for the hefty scsi leads and plug in the power adapter and your off easy as 1 2 3. I did have quite a wait for it to arrive as the fuel strike etc stopped it being transported but usually between 7-10 days for delivery. The price is at an all time low at the moment £89+VAT AND £5 delivery if you order on line www.blackwidow.co.uk or £10 by phone. There is a free phone number to them on there web site on the top left hand side click it put in you number and they ring you straight away or 5 mins which you choose . This scanner is an amazing price for what it gives you in return but dont be misled whatever you need from a scanner this will do it with ease its fast and good at its job you couldnt ask for anything more just order it now i can guarantee you wont be dissapointed (unless theres another fuel strike when you order) lol. And if you do ring them ask yourselves the same question as i do "IS IT SEAN CONNERY james bond WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE ? It definatly sounds like him but hey COOL DUDE COOL SCANNER.
Hi again if your a person who loves to watch your dvds from the date they are released then you need to visit www.dvdplus.co.uk its great pick a film which is already cheaper than most places and when you order you get points off your next purchase or save them to get a free dvd film. They deliver for free in the uk and the price you see is the price you pay unless you use your points which make it cheaper again and they email you your receipt so you know how much its gonna be. Delivery is quick too it took 2 days for my films to be delivered which i was told 3-7 days when i ordered. You can also get region 1 & 2 films there as region 1 as you probably well know the films are available months before region 2.I have just ordered toystory 2 which is released in the states on the 17th of this month and its complete with toystory 1 the first film too with extras all this for £17.99.You could wait till december to get it in the shops but it will only be toystory2 the first one doesnt come with it.If you do decide to go for region 1 films make sure that your dvd player is ntsc or region 1 compatible. My last note on this is you can order something that isnt realeased yet and they offer you a buy at pre release price as sometimes they cost more when released you will need a bank card. visa/master card/ switch/solo.Go have a look and im sure you will be amased at the amount they have there i have been converted lol ;@)
Hi there i hate writing letters and usually write them off the top of my head as im online well nothings changed and here i am again well here is my opinion of a telecomunications company who decide who there cusomers are. I was with eurobell the moment it was available in plymouth as it was cheaper than BT and they had a television division for cable tv well all was great for the first year paid the bills monthly although we never seemed to receive phone bills me or my partner would go to the main office to find out how much and then pay it.We did ask why we had not received any bills and we have to do the same thing every month well the fact of the matter is THEY Eurobell dont have to send out bills its a curtious thing that the company do its not in the contract so we are told. We were disconnected from our tv service on NEW YEARS EVE 98 for no reason we had payed our bills and we rang them the next working day o sorry it was a mistake on our side. and that was it turned back on again no compensation or letter of apoligising Nothing... July 99 we asked them for an additional phone line 2 months we waited and they could only make excuses to me but not apoligise so we asked bt for one and we had it in less than a day yes a day and connected for free so we rang Eurobell to cancel then they had the nerve to ask me WHY ARE YOU CANCELING SIR ummmmm i wonder. so to my final chapter about 3 months we had a eurobell person come to the door showed us his id and gave use our phone number and account for identification so he asked use for our box as they were upgrading the boxs to digital one (hurrrayyyyyy) we he took it and told us the new one will arrive and be installed at no extra charge. We waited 2 days without a box for the new one too arrive and when it didnt i rang them to see what was happening she had no idea where the box was or who took it and said that the box was useless too anybody else so they dis sconected me from tv and said sorry you owe us £150 +vat for the box as we dont have house insurance so i explained i had no house insurance and i didnt need it as it was euro bell that took it NO NO NO the lady said were not updating the boxes you been ripped off .So i called the police and told them what had happened they contacted eurobell and told them it was there box and they had to report it NO NO NO said eurobell again we loan it to the customer and should anything go wrong then they will be liable for the cost of the box its out of our hands . So a eurobell liasions officer came to see us and told use that they would give us another box and a months worth of free channels and they were definatly sucking up then the stinger you must pay us £150 AND you must have household insurance and prove to use that you have it .All i want is my programmes back not pay a total of £400 by the time i got house insurance so i said na i cant swear on hear anyway i canceled everything including phoneline and have nothing more to do with them. Its been 3 months since all this happened and i didnt receive the demand for the box money and believe it or not they didnt send me my last phone bill either. So my conclusion to all this is they dont know how to treat customers and they cant admit when they are wrong they just ignore you i stood up to them and they didnt admit they were wrong and they also didnt send me my final bill in total over £100 +£150 for the box so guess they found my box or couldnt face the press he he he
Hi there i purchased a Kodak DC210 approx 2 years ago (£350) I reviewed it along with a host of other makes before I purchased it. The Kodak DC210 has much more to offer for your money than most other digital cameras that are up for sale. Its a 1.3 megapixel camera which on best setting gives you a photo larger than an A4 sheet of paper most cameras around the same price only offer 640 x 480. It takes 4 AA size batterys rechargables are best as its a hungry on batterys especially if you use the viewfinder to take pictures. I leave this off as it saves batterys 100% approx 200 photos + with 1 set of batterys. The really good news about this camera is that you can upgrade the flash rom in the camera to convert it to the DC210+ You can get this from www.download.com search for dc210 under drivers (its well worth it if you have this camera as you get extra menu settings. Finally as for picture quality its down to your printer in the end (and the paper you use)personally i use an Epson stylus 850 and Epson Premium glossy photo paper and i can tell you that my pics turn out exellent if however you use a poor quality paper you only get what you pay for POOP yes POOP is the answer if you like photography and you get a decent camera then get a decent printer too (1440dpi)and this camera wont let you down

hi i dont normaly write letters very often but i had to comment on the seratonin disorder. I have had a seratonin imbalance for approx 4year its a living hell trying to cope with 4 boys aged 10 months to 12 tears and cope with day to day life.My partner Michelle who has been by my side through rough and tough in the past few years has helped tremendously but its still a struggle to cope. I feel that my problem has got progressivly worse over the past two years and have tried virtually all medications. only one has helped me (SEROXAT) PAROXADINE by Smith Kline &Beechams.I was on 20mg 2 years ago when i was told it would take approx 2 weeks to kick in and i would be on them for 2 months.now i know that its a permanent thing i am on them all the time but now i am on 40mg a day and still get chest pains i wont go out i get panic attacks when i used to out on my own i cant drive my car as I cant concetrate and i have great difficulty in sleeping. Im very forgetful and have left water running and forgot. used the oven and forgot to turn it off afterwards although this is a normal thing once in a while after a few times you get a phobia for them (I have a problem getting in to a bath as it gives me a flash back to when i was first ill and everything was scary just looking at the toilet was enough to send me in to a panic attack sounds stupid but just try to imagine it its not nice. I now find myself pretty much trapped in my maisonette staring at the clock and slow it goes too. The doctors say there is no miracle cure and you learn to live with it i wish i could say i was happy with that answer but my tablets help but i have a lot of chest pains and get irritable quickly and all of the above mentioned . IF anyone can tell me why my body stopped producing enough seratonin by the age of 28 i would be grateful. and if anyone does have a miracle cure please tell me as i cant learn to live with it (i ha ve tried for 4 years)
This is a nice bit of kit especially if you have a portable mini disc its an easy to use format and personaly it beats mp3 players to a pulp.sound quality is exellent depeding on how good your amp and speakers are but if you get the chance run it through the optical output to a DAC (digital to analogue converter) and wow you will certainly notice the diffrence but forgetting the optical stuff it still sounds great and you can title the disc and the tracks all the features you could want and more. The cheapest place to buy oner of these is your nearest RICHER SOUNDS shop sometimes you can save up to 50% off the MRP of the unit. Are you still here get down the road and buy it its an affordable cd format and the blank mini discs are cheap to at argos or index. This is a product that you wont be dissapointed with
Hi there i have to write this letter as i have owned a WHARFDALE 750 dvd player for 3 weeks and it is a must it copes with almost everything you chuck at it (put in it even oooppps)and it copes with region 1(american. ntsc)and region 2(europe. pal). I have watched over 15 titles from tweenies to chainsaw massacre (with the light on of course)I have had no glitching from any of the films i have watched. GOODWORK WHARFDALE On the down side however(theres always a downside)well i dont think there is one personally but to NITPICK something i would have to say is the legs could be a bit more taller as people with stack systems like to let their systems breath but this is only a personal view of the legs. The remote control buttons are to be pressed firmly but this stops the buttons from accidently being pressed (YOU KNOW THE "FELL DOWN THE SIDE OF THE SOFA GAG). so this is a gain in my books
Hi im Alan and I live in plymouth i have four children and a dog. (and the missus Michelle lol). Michelle's sister Kelli purchased a True Hepa cyclone power 1500 approx 6 weeks ago. After using it for a week she found that it is was not very sturdy when the tools were being used. As soon as there is any tension on the pipe the hoover falls over and has caught her youngest child a few times. Kelli is very angry at the moment as after owning it for the first two weeks she was cleaning the settee and using the tool that is said to be a "flexi pipe" as you put any tension on to it the hoover topples over. Its easier for me to show you the letter that kelli wrote to Electrolux than type it all out. Electrolux is in contact with kelli via post but the main concern is all the people here seem to have the same problem with their hoover as you see by the letter it is a dangerous hoover around young children. If i could show you the photo i would but i will keep you all informed alan e LETTER TO ELECTROLUX I purchased a True Hepa cyclone power 1500 approx 2 weeks ago. After using it for a week we found that it is was not very sturdy when the tools are being used. As soon as there is any tension on the pipe the hoover falls over as if this was bad enough from a £158 hoover yesterday as i was hoovering the settee with the pipes attached the same problem happened yet again only this time my 16 month old daughter was sat on the floor the hoover fell to the floor as my daughter went to stand up she placed her hand on the hoover to get up as this had frightened her her hand went straight up over the brushes and it needed medical attention. And as if this was not enough talking to a few people from the local area who have same hoover confessed that their hoover also do the same and as there are no guards on the base of the hoover we believe that it was an accident waiting to happen. I HAVE TAKEN THE LIBERTY OF TAKING PHOTOS OF MY DAUGHTERS HAND AND IF NO REPLY IS FORWARDED TO ME SOON I WILL HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO PERSUE THE MATTER FURTHER. yours sincerly UPDATE Electrolux have replied to this letter now and its in the hands of their insurers but meanwhile this danger still exists hurry up electrolux
