My dogs, as most dogs, love chasing balls so to find and inexpensive way to find this addiction it paramount. I bought these as they were cheaper than tennis balls but soon found out why. We took the ball finger to the field and flung the first ball. It flew through the air a beauty but, as it was slightly heavier it didn't go quite as far. On hitting th ground I expected a nice high bounce, as did the dogs and them and I were highly disappointed at the distinct lack of bounce of the ball. Then when my shepherd, she always makes sure he is the one with the ball even if one of the others catches it, brough the ball back I found it was no longer ball shaped and the rubber inside the fabric outer has basically disintegrated by a combination of impact and shepherd jaws. Not the best for one throw, all the balls went this way and needless to say I didn't buy them again. They would be okay if you were only throwing them a short distance or your dog does not have strong jaws otherwise they are a waste of money!!!
I have generally fed my dogs Arden Grange apart from a pell of tripe and biscuits but shift work rant dred food was easier! I usually aliterate between the lamb ad rice and the chicken and rice. Although the last few months I have Ben using the performance and premium ranges of Arden grange which are chicken and rice also but with more nutrients in them for working dogs. A bag of chicken and rice is more expensive than the lamb, not sure why but you can pay around £36 for a 15kg bag if not buying in bulk or for working/breeding dogs. The food gives the dogs an around well being with enough energy to exercise bu not too much to become fizzy. There is no horrible smell from the biscuits so storage and feeding won't turn your stomach! My dogs wolf this down and never leave any in their bowls so it must be good. I find as I is made of good quality ingredients I know the dogs are getting good food and not too much salt or sugar. It averages at about 30% protein which suits an average to active dog. On top of this the people at Arden Grange are very helpful and only too willing to assist with any feeding issues.
I train and work search dogs but found this book on eBay and though it was worth a bit of fun. It has very large clear photos of how to gain each trick and very clear instructions. Anyone wanting to learn how to train their dog to do a few cute tricks should read this. As with any dog book it is just to be used as a basis for the training. Each dog learning in their own unique way so it will not fit every dog and if you find this don be disappointed with your purchasecjust alter your training slightly. I have used it to train my roti a few things and taken some if the tips into my searching work also so it can't be that bad a book! The language used is very easy to understand and the pictures make It all be more easier. I bought this second hand so didn't pay the full new price but to be honest if you want a bit of fun with you dog then it probably is worth the full price.
My Roti had a few teeth out after and the vet advised me to clean his teeth regularly after then. I bought the doggie tooth brush and this doggie tooth paste and tried to brush his teeth but it turn out to be a waste of time! He hated the favour and just clamped his jaws together and his lips around his teeth when he saw me reach for it. It is about £5 per tube at pets a home so not a cheap thing. I ended up buying come cheap human tooth paste and just usi g a tiny bit if that instead. Not worth th money at all when you cn buy some tesco value paste for about 50p and use that! They say dogs prefere this as it beef flavour but if the smell is anything to go by it is no where near beef flavour!! I wouldn't buy this again as I wasted the last tube. I think it is important to brush dogs teeth but it doesn't have to cost the earth. My dog gives this the paws down
I started myself on an Omega 3 diet eating lots of fruit and veg and omega three rich foods. To supplement this I want to find something to add to soups and salads and found these at the local superstore. They are £2.99 a small pot but as you dont use a gret deal they tend to last so price is not too bad when the big pictureis looked at. The pot contains a variety of seeds like sunflower, poppy and pumpkin so it does look like rabbit food but they are so nice, I sprinkle them on everything I can find from salads, soup currys, anything really. The health benefits are remarkable, obviouosly it is combined with the healthy diet but this as an added extra is brilliant and so easy to use and store. I found I was buying bags of seeds and they are so hard to store as the bag splits and it is bound to fall out the cupboard just at the time when you are pushed for time and have to waste time clearing it up. This sturdy pot is great with a plastic lid to close it up after if it falls out the cupboard, no spillage, just pop it back! If you are looking for a heathly diet especially Omega 3 rich diet then this is a great supplement for it. Well worth the £2.99
Those who have read my review on the chocolate cheesecake version of this will not doubt know where this one is going. This is actually slightly better than the choc one but not by far! The filling is slightly less 'Chewy' and isnt so sickly. The base is still thin and the cream around the edge, well I cant really call it cream! For such a large brand as heinz I would have though the product would be better but maybe they should stick to beans and sauces!Once again if it was the only desert left in the freezer cabinet I would probably go without! Kids parties okay, that special dinner with your partner, stay away. I must say though, my dog enjoyed the cake, but then she enjoys eating a lot of things so not the best advertisment for it|!
I dont tend to buy these for myself as they are ever so sweet and very expensive. Being Dairy intolerant I do not tend to have much chocolate anyway. These chocos are almost compusary at Christmas and is usually when I end up sampling them. They are very pretty looking chocs of brown and white marbled outer and a praline centre. The taste of hazel nuts is very strong so if you are not a nut fan then stay away. They are very melt in the mouth. After the first crunch the centre is very soft but so sweet that one smal choc is usally enough for me. Pricewise these are really expensive. I have not bought a large box recently but bought a mini box of 4 choc for a friend and that was 99p for four small chocs which would not really get near to equating to a normal choc bar for 40p! Being choc these are high in calories and fat so if looking for a low fat diet these are definitely out of the question!! probably even for a treat! Presentationwise, these are really far ahead of the game and come in a nice smooth line box with the chocs nicely spaced out. The are all different shells shapes and sea horses and if you canstomach the sweetness then it is compulsary to sample each shape - they do all taste the same though! These chos really are for indulgence and dont we all need that once in a while??!!
I remeber these from my childhood. They were great. The strawberry ice around the out side is so juicy and full of fruit and it just the right thickness that once the juice is sucked out it crumbles easily and the ice crean oozes out! The ice cream is really creamy and soft and complements the strawberry ice really well. These ises are pretty cheap, depending of course where you get them. From the ice cream van they are around 99p but from the supermarket bought in bulk they are around 50p each. Great for each price! They are so nice on a hot day and offer the best of both worlds, the juicy refreshing ice around the edge and the creamy ice cream in the middle. What could be better. I dont calorie count so have no idea how many calories are in these, howeve rthey are made from ice cream which is never low in fat!! but really, we all deserve a bit of a treat once in a while! These are great treats for a hot day and great value for money in this currentl climate.
I used to love these and could easily eat a whole tube in one sitting, not the best as they are so high in fat but sooo tastey! Then one day at a bbq a friend decided to do a party trick and too a lighter to a pringle. It burns light a fire lighter showing how much fat is contained in one crisp. This little party trick put me off pringle for a while. However, this didnt last long and I soon found myself munching through another box!! The original flavour is the best, the other flavour are a bit strong and not really tasting like the flavour they should!!!! it is nice the share these and you can always make funny faces with them like the advert, a duck or something! The tubes also double up as a drum to entertain you after you have finished munching the whole tube! These are quite expensive, £2 for a tube but they are on offer a lot of the time and worth stocking up on them then. £2 for a tube of crisps is very expensive!
I know lots of poeple love heinz Ketchup (where does that word come from!!! Any one know please tell me), but I tend to go for the supermarket own brands over heinz. Ordinarily I agree 'it has to be Heinz' but not with ketchup. I find this very sugary and I prefer the vinegary taste of the cheaper ones. Alo they are cheaper with is great too. However this is great stuff too and I would not pass at a dolup on my chips if it was in arms length. I prefere the squeezy bottles just because I hate to have to wack the bottom of the bottle and then find the whole bottle is on the plate. At least the squeezy bottle is a bit more controlled! So taste of this stuff is it like tomatos? well not really, it is just like tomato ketchup. If you want tomato flavour sauce then heat up some actual tomatos. Probably the best idea as hot tomatos are grean, howver ketchup is so much sweeter (due to all the sugar) and nicer with chips! This does have a high sugar content so keep that in mind if calorie counting. It would be impossible to comment on price of this only to say that they are more expensive than the supermarket own brand. Ketchup comes in so many different shapes and sizes form the huge glass bottle to a small sachet! If you want a sweet accompaniment to chips, this is the one!!
So how do I review this product offering something different to what other reviews hve offered. Well that is hard as it is only a Mars bar. I can say about the packaging, the fact it is a hearty bar and tastes good or the fact it has been around as a favourite for ages,.......but these have all been said before, lots of times! So what else is new about the Mars bar. Well Mars never seem to fail in finding different sizes to make this in, from tiny in the celebration boxes to king size. with mini, snack, normal twin and multi inbetween! My memory of Mars bar is similar to another reviewer. My mum used to cut a bar into strips for my and my siblings, one bar does go along way when you are little. I must admit, when home alone, I still cut the bar into quarters and leave bits on the side to graze on throughout the day! One great thing Mars are good for are giving extra energy when out hiing. I tend to have one in the bag all the time just in case. I also work dogs and being out in the field (or town where ever she is needed) all day without a morsal, Mars fill a hole. I wouldnt recommend giving it to dogs, but when times are exhaustive in the field and the dog has worked well, a tiny corner of one does go down well. Just remember choc is poisenious to dogs, the dark choc really so dont feed choc as a habit to dogs. However Mars doesnt have a great deal of choc on it so I cant see the harm in my well worked dog have a bite! Mars will always be think, I just wish I had invented them, then I may have enough money to fund my business and live in a bit house in the country!!
I dont think I know anyone who doesnt like Galaxy choc. it is so creamy and velvety that you just stop what ever you are doing and close your eyes and dream when you tatse this. I am not a big choc fan and can not eat load of choc, however this is great and I could eat the whole (big) br in one go! There are quite a few different varieties of Galaxy from caramel to ripple. even the caramel seems smoother and lighter than other choc. It oozes calories and so a good work out is needed before this is indulged in. but then again it is worth it. Even though it seems a bit more luxerious than other chocs it doesnt have a higher price tag. It does sometimes have some really great offers meaning a large bar os only a £1. Normal sized bars are the same size as other choc bars so not breaking the bank and on a par wioth them all. I would choose this if I was going to spend the evening in watching telly. I would say it is good for en evening in with my partner watching telly, but then I wouldnt want to share it! I would have to hide it and only nibble bits when he wasnt looking! Far too good to share!!
I really am a lover of fresh and healthy food. However, as with pot noodle, there is place in my cooking repetoir for super noodles! These are basically dried noodles which get boiled in water and powdered flavour added. They have very little vitamins but for an accompaniment or a quick snack, what can I say. They are pretty good. Flavours all tend to be the same to me really. Just kind of noodley flavours. These are grat to take hiking and mix withboiling water over the camp stove and there you are a nice warm noodle dinner. Add a bit of tabasco and they taste better! Super noodles are pretty super at the right time. Not for an everyday meal but great if hiking or needing a quick hot meal. Also great to have when you get back in from the pub and so much cheaoper than a kebab! There are lots of flavours but they are all very samey so dont get over excited! They are about £1 for a pack so not breaking the bank. There are supermarket own brand for this too as there seems to be for everything at the moment. To be honest you cant really get any worse or any better so they are more or less the same too. If the supermarket brand is cheaper, get that!!
It took me ages to realise what the advert was going on about with the whole pause thing for twix. Then i realised, the two fingers look like the pause symbol. Twix is one of my favourite, kind of a cross between a chocolate bar and a chocolate biscuit. They can be single or double and tend to vary in price depending on what size pack you get. Once again there are loads of supermarket own brands of these bit they arent as good at all. The chocolate is like cooking chocolate and so not so paletable. Twix is from the Mars company and so has a nice smooth chocolate, maybe not as nice as cadburys though! The thick layer of caramel on top is great and really sets these off. I usually bite off the biscuit on the bottom and then eat the caramel on its own! The biscuit is a nice shortcake and so smoother qn dlighter than some other bars which have normal biscuit as a base. These are an age old favourite and I can not see them going out of fashion anytime soon. They are obviouslt not good for the waist line as they are choc and caramel but as a treat these are great! These are much better than their supermarket own brand rivels and win each time.
These are the best crisps in the whole wide world!!!! However, I rarely buy them, as soon as I do and I get them home, they are usually devoured within about 6 hours! These corn snax are so light that it wouldnt really matter if you did eat the whole multi pack! I have once put all three flavours into a whole to eat whilst watching a film, well you would ahve a bwl of pop corn and surely this is healthier than toffee popcron! Flavours in Quavers are cheese, salt and vinegar and prawn cocktail. My favourite is between the salt and vinegar and prawn cocktail! I have to have a bag of each at once! They are cheaper than normal crisps as I guess they are meant for kids! I prefere these to normal crisps! They are about £1.20 for 6 but walkers and the supermarkets do offers all the time on these. I am not a calorie counter so I would just be spouting numbers if I went into these. All I am conerned about is if I eat lots I exercise lots! Or rather if I exercise lots I eat lots! These are low fat though so great for a little treat!!
