I can honestly say this product is the best hair styling product I've ever bought (and I've bought a lot!).
The root boost crimper is designed like a pair of hair straighteners except with ridges on the plates. The idea is to section your hair and apply the crimper to the roots of each section. If you take the time and section your hair thoroughly about an inch apart it really makes a noticable difference. I also find that unlike other hair styling products I have to leave it in a long time as my hair is quite thick, but the plates get so hot that a few seconds is all thats needed to make an effective crimp.
I use mine if I don't have time to wash my hair before a night out as it acts like dry shampoo would and it last until the next day. It definitely makes my hair seems less greasy looking.
Its lovely going out having volumised hair as bigger is sexier!
If you are going to spend your money on any new hair styling product this is a definite must!
Like every other woman with straight hair, I've always wanted curly hair. I usually use hair straighteners but found they burnt my hair. So like magic a hair wand appears!
I was expecting results but instead of burnt hair I just had burnt fingers instead. I suppose that was what the single black glove in the box was for. And there I was thinking Babylis were trying to appeal to the Michael Jackson impersonator market.
The problem with this product is that you have to hold your hair around the wand for a time to allow your hair to curl obviously but I just found I was burning my fingers in doing so.
Maybe this product would work better for people with thinner hair but as mine is quite thick I had to leave it wrapped round for longer which as I explained was as bit painful! Or perhaps you could team up with a friend who has one as well, your friend could help your curl and then at least you'd have a matching pair of gloves.
I was told about this bra from my friend who swore she thought her friend had had a boob job when she first saw her wearing this bra! Of course I rushed straight out to buy one!
I can promise anyone who buys this bra will suddenly feel a confidence they've never experienced before. Particularly if you have not been blessed with a large bust size. It can be quite unnerving at first and takes a bit of getting used to. You may have wished all your life for bigger boobs but when they suddenly appear your not quite sure what to do with them! But you shouldn't dwell on this. Think of all the women out there with much larger chest sizes, put on your new bra and strutt your stuff.
I must stress you have to buy the correct size as they are quite heavy and would be quite uncomfortable otherwise. Also one point about La Senza be careful with their bra measuring services. They fitted me with a bra which was far too tight with the promise it would stretch but whether this is a good point about La Senza bra's they don't have much give unless you were it every day.
Although I already had a hand blender, I decided to purchase this 3-in-1 hand blender. Firstly because of the great value I thought this offered having three attachments in one package. Secondly the hand blender I already had didn't have a container to blend in.
The hand blender is very powerful and extremely useful for blending sauces to make them smooth without the bits (which is what my blender gets used for most of all!)
The whisk is something which I never would have thought of buying as a seperate item but as part of the set I find I'm using it more than I used my ordinary whisk! The faster setting means whisking egg whites takes but a few minutes.
The chopper again is fantastic. Just so easy to use and surprising how often it does get used!
Another aspect I really like is the metal finishing. It really makes a change from the standard white plastic ones that are available.
I've always used Dyson vacuum cleaners. The foremost reason anyone should buy a Dyson is the huge benefit of not having to buy vacuum bags! The vacuum never has a problem with losing suction or any of the problems associated with bag cleaners. A little tip...my husband uses an air compressor to remove any last trace of dust and dirt which I find really helps keep the vacuum sucking away!
Although its not sold as a lightwright vacuum I don't find it a problem carrying upstairs. Infact the only problem I have with the vacuum is the hose. I think this is a problem with all Dyson vacuum's. The hose is located in the handle which means although it can be stored away easily its quite awkward to use. There is a long plastic end on the hose which means you have to lift the whole pole out of the hose before you can angle it down to the floor. It means there is less manoeuvrability in some places. I wouldn't say it prevents me from vacuuming properly but it is awkward.
However saying this it is ideal for reaching high places to get rid of those cobwebs in the corner and spiders on the ceiling! It is advertised as a reach wand and it does reach places a 5ft 2" person certainly can't! This "wand" is just a bit difficult and awkward to use on the floor. It's like using a mop or broom when I'm used to getting on my hands and knees to reach the corners of the room. But for those who don't like getting on their hands and knees then disregard my earlier statement and buy this vacuum!
