I have stayed at this hotel a handfull of times both during the week and at weekends. It is centrally located really close to Nottingham Train Station and perfect for a stroll in to the City Centre for a meeting.
You approach the hotel accross a paved plaza with offices, apartments and the hotel surrounding it. There is a canal behind the hotel too which is nice for a walk after dinner (only in the summer, its a bit dark in the winter).
The hotel foyer is all marble with huge pillars supporting the floor above. To your right is the restaurant which serves a great range of evening meals and some nice wines to accompany them. To the left is the bar which serves pretty much what you would expect drinks wise in a hotel. They also do foof in the bar. The burger is great. Both the restaurant and bar are decorated in modern stylish decor.
The room itself is basic but not as basic as you would find in a travel lodge. There is everything you need when staying alone and most importantly it was all in good repair and clean. The staff throughout the hotel were fantastic and couldnt have been more helpful.
I had always been loyal to Playstation through the PS1 PS2 and then the PS3. I briefly had the original Xbox but soon got bored. Then towards the end of last year i noticed i wasnt able to get all the games that i wanted on the PS3. For Christmas my wife bought me the XBox 360 Elite and a couple of the games that i wanted.
What a difference the PS3 now sits gathering dust while the 360 is in every day use. I love it. The graphics are crisp and not sluggish. Loading time is great and the controller use is so easy, all the buttons are just where you want them. I haven't yet tried the online gaming using Xbox Live as there is a charge attached to this where as the PS3 it is free.
The Xbox is now first choice for all new games that i buy.
My wife chose this pram while she was pregnant with our son. It seemed a perfect option. Multifunctional, stylish and from a brand that installs confidence when you buy.
Initially we set it up it was easy to assemble and looked the part once assembled. We put it away and waited for our new arrival.
Once our son was born we took the pram out and noticed that the base that he was to lie on was not flat. It was full of bumps and humps. I took the pram apart and put it back together and it was just the same. We let this go as he wasnt going to be in it for long before sitting up, most of the time we used his car seat when going anywhere anyway.
When we got to the point that he was ready to sit up in the pushchair we adjusted the pram to turn it in to a pushchair and found that the harness had no means of attaching behind his shoulders to the back of the seat. The only restraint point was to each side of his waist. A bit of a concern as he was very keen on leaning forwards by this point. We looked at the pictures on the mamas and papas website which showed the harness in them. Very misleading. Following a few months of use as a pushchair the wheels started to bow away from the pram which causes the pram not to sit properlly. The pram has only been used on pavements and roads so no off road stuff and no heavy loads of shopping on the handles.
All in all a very poor product. We will not be buying another mamas and papas product for the next baby.
Wow what a headset. Before this i was using an old bluetooth headset for my mobile phone and what an impovement.
I love the online gaming that the PS3 offers, games such as Call of Duty and fifa. Before this headset i was stuggling with poor sound quality and couldnt hear friends properlly when gaming together as my headset wouldnt fit my ear properlly. This one sits on my ear perfectly and i can now hear every word whether its on the battlefield or the football field! My experience of my PS3 has been improved even more simply by purchasing this device.
I connected mine to the PS3 and it shows you the battery life just like it does with the wireless controller. You can also keep using the headset during charging. What a bonus! The battery is reasonable 4 - 5 hours for mine. Thats plenty because after that long my wife has started complaining im on the PS3 too long!
Deffinately go out and get one today. Even if you're happy with your current headset i dont think anyone will be dissapointed with the improvement that this one will bring.
I bought the ipod touch to replace my dated ipod nano.
I would have tried the iphone but due as I was tied in to my current phone contract this was the ideal alternative.
Great functionality and features. The wireless connection is a god send easy internet access without having to wait for the laptop to boot up. Music player functionality is excellent and the sound quality nothing less than you would expect from an Apple product. Thousands and thousands of downloadable apps ranging from those with business functions to fun apps, stupid apps and even games. Email access, notepad which i frequently use for the shopping list while walking round the supermarket with my headphones on. The touch screen control is precise and accurate and the screen realigns itself as you rotate the ipod.
All in all a fantastic piece of kit that i would reccommend to anyone. Cant wait to try the iphone when my contract runs out.
