London is really quite a place to stay or even visit. It's 1 of the 1st most populated cities in the world just next to it's counterpart, Paris many years ago though. lt's now been turned into 1 of the most modern & expensive place to live, rather. Here, 1 can find lots of stuuf ranging from small little goods to that of gigantic sizes & exclusive homes. The price does vary to some extend & what you pay is what you get, basically. Also, shooping is a must in London as there are places like Harrods, Selfridges to visit. Not to mention the endless string of places of interest like Madame Tussards, Big Ben, Millenniun Dome, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, Buckingham palace, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral (2nd largest of the Cathedrals ever built so far), Leicester Square, Picadilly Circus, Bond Street, New Bond Street, Oxford Circus, Trocadero, Crown jewels, Chinatown, Soho, Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Tralfagar's Square, British Museum & London Eye. Cheap accomodation can be found around the city with prices from £10 - £hundreds. Transport wise is very easy & plenty of buses around & so is thre tube or underground. 1 should fine time to visit London even how busy 1 can be.
Concord College is a 6th form college down in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It has a beautiful scenery of the country side & it took only about 1/2 hr to get from town to the school. It's primarily an international school with students from overseas, mainly Malaysia. It has a 7 hole golf course, indoor swimming pool, sports hall full of equipments & numerous accomodations of which are able to suffice over 300 students. Free transport in the form of buses are for students to get to town 3 X a week though. The food is ok but not very briiliant for some but the studies are of good standards & offer a wide range of subjects & a number of them had been admitted to the prestigeous universities like Cambridge & Oxford every year. Teachers there are friendly & lots of interaction between students & themselves... The college also often organises trips, exhibitions, matches between other schools & to the public. Security reasons are of guarantee at any time. the atmosphere is nice & can be quite chilly in winter.
The home town of Darwin, is in fact, Shrewsbury. Located close to Telfore industrial town & is 1 of the smallest town in tht UK. It's quite beautiful & also self-sufficient in many ways though... Not many knew this place after all but here it is, the little town. People do live in the country side & so is such a town mentioned. It's also well known for a college, named Concord somewhere situated in the Acton Burnell, about half's hour drive by car from town. Prestigeous as it may seem but nevertheless, plenty of wonderful but crazy things happening there, as 1 would have seen if 1 stayed there. Old buildings as well as new, can be found there too. A days walk in the town area would be sufficient to conclude the town's life as a whole & it's recommended for quite town or country side walk really...
Manchester, what a city... for almost 4 years now & I had been living quite happily over here though & no 1 had messed about with me though the report shows that this particular city is favourable for crimes. But, 1 should be aware at all times so that such displeasure will not take place. Shopping wise is wonderful & shops are almost open 7 days a week & till late sometmes. Another highlight is the newly built olympic size swimming pool just next to the Brunswick area is to be opened to the public soon. & for the Commonwealth games especially... For those who wants to reside, the prices of the houses are pretty much reasonable & competitive in many ways & is advisable to browse through the websites & ask for more details from those who had been living there for some time. Not to mention the various ethnics that spice up the life in Manchester & also their home dishes that has brought the worls together in harmony. People are relatively friendly & easy to get around with them but do depends on each individual as this is just genally speaking... Hope that this will be useful & the entertainment here is marvellous as well...
I'm a subscriber to the vodafone 300 & it's really worth while to get 1 though. All I got was 300 minutes of free talk time off peak & a free handset of nokia of their choice & another handset free that of motorola whereby a £10 worth of pay as you talk tarriff was imposed to the later. The service was excellent & the tarriff is cheap as well. I had to pay only the monthly rental of £13 & the qarterly of insurance over the handest of nokia. Internation calls can be made as I had asked them to loft the internation barring off & it didn't cost me a single penny to do so. The instructions & the bill is very clear & all the free talk time will be carried over to the next month if there's any for 2 consecutive months. Overall it's a good deal & I'd used my mobile in other parts of Europe & had free roaming as well. I do recommend this tarriff very much.
This is the most favourite search engine that I had even came across so far. I'd tried yahoo, altavista & goto but yet Google surpasses them all, undoubtedly. Google not only gives the 10 best or closest search for a single enty, but also gives the other next closest to the entry & can even go up to several pages worth checking out. Not to mention the speed & simplicity but yet profound & sophisticated in amny ways & it's been veiled befotre our eyes. Also, the search engine to tend to updated about a million website each day & thus become very specific in numerous ways. The wierdest entry that 1 could even think of can be found provided that the website exists. & I could even get to my cousin's website by just entering his name!!! Amazing isn't it??? Therefore try it today then if 1 has not done so & it's free by the way...
Airports have been 1 of the greatest issues of the century. Why??? As every 1 probably knows that airport is 1 of the 1st gateways to the country & if the aiport fails to give a good impression or image to the in-coming tourists, then what's the point of visiting other parts of it then, 1 may argue. Yes, this is true to a certain extend & I fully agree that to have a good aiport is thus important. ! such excellent airport is the Singapore Changi airport whereby 1 lieterally can find anything from a to z. The service is good at all parts of thre building. Full air-conditioned & large shopping arcade can be found there with good ranging from a few pences to several hundred pounds worth. Cleanliness & friendliness is a major issue in all airports & Changi has indeed won it very easily. Language wise is not a problem at all & they do speak English almost all the time though. Food & beverage is truly well served & has a great variety of them on the menu. There's also a specially located & built smoking roon just for smokers & an internet center just round the corner. Not to mention post office too, hotel & special 1st & business class lounges for all airlines on teh upper floor of the departure arena. Comprehensive time-table or departure gates are displayed as such that all may understand fully when read & tv monitors constantly provide latest information thoughout the terminal. The staf are fully organised & the building is securely guarded. Man-made gardens can be found in both corners of the terminals ( 1 & 2 ) & a small exhibition area can be found whereby exhibits are on display. Restaurants & bars are all over the place & so are restrooms & phone boxes where 1 can make free calls locally & phone cards are available from the post office. Therefore, Changi is worth mentioning & probably 1 of the best airport ever built so far. Needless to say about the country, is as good as th
I've been to many place in the world & had seen much about the health service in the respective countries though. But the 1 that i wanted to emphasise now is the 1 in the UK. I couldn't believe it at 1st but then, sadly I had to agree. The government had recently cut down expenses on the NHS (National Health Service) whereby a number of jobs will be reduced quite significantly. This then would lead to the higher demand of better medicine & drugs for patients. If they are unable to meet this requirement, then people would be let to suffer quietly. Without proper health, we will be unfit to do any job, even the simplest of all like spaeking & moving about. In the UK, not only that the health schems is running downhill, but the service as well as getting worse in some places. Doctors took such a long time to diagnose a simple blood sample & can take 2 weeks or so & there even exist cases on which they lost the sample!!!! What a ridiculous service is this then??? What on earth are they doing??? I can tell 1 off on top of my head that even in developing countries like Indonesia for instance, is able to produce the reuslt of blood samples within hors of the same day & it's truly accurate enough for specific analysis to be implemented by the doctors. If it weren't so, then it would meant a greater number of patients suffering & thus filling the graves up pretty quickly!!! I think not only the goverment should do something about this & the hospitals themselves need to upgrade the services as we are talking about lives here. Personally, 1 should keep fit by exercising daily that may be of any form. But do take precations when age becomes a concern.
A very trustworthy friend of mine had stayed at the Cambridge Halls of residence down in Manchester Metropolitan University. It's quite new & only been opened since last year though... The furniture is well furnished & all the equipments are new. Students from the 1st year are normally admitted to such halls & there exist north & south halls opposite to each other dwon at the Higher Cambridge Street located just at the back of the Uni's library. Rooms are available in form of flats & there are 10 individual rooms in the flat, & the whole building consists of 4 floors with 3 flats on each. Lighting wise is good & so is the laundry at the ground floor of each building. But, please take note of naughty hands of those who love to make trouble sometimes... Generally speaking is a good hall, not bacuse it's new but also close to the provision shops & restaurants behind it. So is a bar just across the street & late night take aways in Oxford Road.
The best airline voted in Asia is needless to say it's Singapore Airlines. She has been awarded such for several reasons & I dare to recommend this too all who are choosing which airliner to take. This Airlines I dare to say that has the best service so far, compared to other airlines. Also, the quality of food is good for all sectors of the world. Leg room is big enough for almost everyone & more outstandingly, is the stewardess whereby they do have sweet, smiling faces all the time. Not to mention lovely young ladies (stewardess in mean), not trying to be bias here but is a fact & I'm not the onbly 1 saying such. Another advantage is the cleanliness of the aircraft is thoroughly well done & plenty of movies to choose from & games as well just in front of the seat. Entertainement wise is marvellous indeed & there exist a wide range of networks acroos the globe & rarely impose delay nor canceeled flights. Also, the airline has recently signed a joint programme called the Star Alliance & they do have programme of accumulation of milleage & thus 1 can get free flights almsot anywhere when the points have reached a certain qualification & therefore can be further upgraded to higher level of priority passenger. Have a nice flight then!!!
I have been living in the archipelago for years now & still regard it as 1 of the most wonderous palce that God ever made. It may not be like that of the Garden of Eden, but close enough though. The country is made up of more than 13, 000 islands & these could fit across the atlantic from UK to the States in length!! 5 major island can be spotted easily & they are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi & Irian Jaya. Indonesia is full of unpolluted nor marred paradise across the islands & thus it's name. For those who love wildlife, palce that 1 should visit are the rainforests & jungles in Kalimantan & parts of Sumatra. & those who love montainous views may visit, Bromo, Irian Jaya. Diving is a great sport for uncultivated sea or ocean corals & they may check Manado out. for a start Many people from the western world love to see the activities of tribal civilisation whereby they may visit Kalimantan & irian Jaya. Komodo dragon, 1 of the endangered species are found in the Komodo island. Irian Jaya is also famous for its Bird of Paradise, another endangered bird. Beautiful beaches are they for those who love them to enoy, located in teh thousand islang region north of Java island. The people are friendly enough to take tourist around so not to worry & food, accomodation is truly cheap. Ranging from 10's of pounds onwards & transport are assessible in many ways. Local tour are avaible readily almost at any time. There exist wide range of cultures whereby at each region of the archipelago do have its own unique style of making things, dialects, food & habits. Spice is always a must to any individual & such can be found mostly in the islands of Maluku, between Sulawesi & Irian Jaya. Religion also do play a part in Indonesia whereby the Majority are Muslims, then next in line, Christianity & Buddhism, Hinduism. Last but not least, welcome to Paradise of the East!!
The tuition fees here in the UK are indeed relatively high compared to anywhere in the world though. Since the 1st time I touched down upon the land I can certainly feel the extreme expenses to comply with in the duration of my studies. As an overseas student, I had not been givern any scholarship in any form whatsoever. Not to mention the dear tuition fees applied to students like I am do play a great role in funding people as such. It wasn't as such 20 odd years ago when the sterling pound was moderate & affordable to most. But, when the new party came up, they had swop over the entire monetary system such that the overseas students are obliged to pay a large sum of money!! This in actual fact, had a enormous impact such that non-uk or non-european students had to pursue their degree elsewhere, mostly the United States. & therefore most students left even though they are good enough for higher degrees. Truly, universities are in short of such students & if they fail to make an effort as to reduce the fees, then, they would end up paying the penalty of which no 1 would be happy; between the 2 parties.
The age has come to a new era of technology in terms of mobile phones. It all started with huge bulky 1's a couple of or few years ago. But then, it had be revolutionised in such a way that we, humans have developed to such an extend. It's not as common as before whereby only the few richer society were able to purchase such. But, in today's world, young & old alike, do possess of or even more of this in their hands. In the beginning, it was only a number of simple function like receiving (receiving calls) & transmitting (making calls). It's been as such for some time, but the size has shrunk till it's only as large as the palm!!! Moreover, functions has been upgraded to the extend of sophisticated 1's for instance the text messaging system & now, the latest version, WAP or simply, web application protocol whereby 1 may be able to gain excess into the internet. Games are installed & various creative music are found in them as well. Now, it's getiing tinie each time but the basic functions, receiving & transmitting still exist & has become the primary function for owning 1. Not to mention the price & tarriff availbale, it has become cheaper though the years all over the world. It, indeed has made the earth smaller than before. It's good to have 1 though.
Civilization is 1 of the best game that I'd even played on the pc though. even though some may argue that it's not as good as other like Sim city versions, but nevertheless is a wonderful user-friendly game so far. I started off with a downloaded version 1 from a friend of mine & it did got my enthusiasm going. So, after playing for some time, the 2nd version is out. & I bought it so as to the other versions of it. 1 can really learnt history as 1 play along & to a certain extend is to be considered close enough. The icons are truly lively & colourful as well. Sounds are fntastic in many ways exp. in the way they fight over banttles. Other versions have extended play till the space race & therefore, space age. These are interesting too but 1 must be ready to spend several hours in front of the computer...
I had been to amsterdam only twice but I do have a wonderful experience there. 1st of all is the atmosphere whereby the people are more friendly than I even thought they would!!! That really do surprise my conscience though. I can certainly say that the city or country even, it the 1 & only place where racism is the very minimum, almost next to nothing really. For those of you who yet to visit amsterdam or holland, please do make a note of this. As for the food, perhaps those who love spicy 1's can fing numerous Indonesian restaurant with great affordable prices & a whole range of delicatessen everywhere. From hot dogs to posh restaurants are needless to mention. Accomodation is pretty good, ranging from the cheapest hostle to grand hotels are availble to all & clean bathrooms can be found anywhere. Weather wise is good, compared to other parts of Europe. Flowers is a must-to-see attraction over there, esp. at Easter. Other tourist attraction like Museum of Van Gogh, windmills, Vollendam, Madiurodam, etc are woth seeing. Not menttioning the red-light district, Zedek. Those of you that may fear the language spoken there is truly not a big deal. They, in general do speak, Dutch (obviously), English, German & French, so no need to worry & 1 can get along well in no time!!!
