About 3 weeks ago i really needed to buy a new foundation but i always find with foundation that it never matches my skin colour or when i apply it it just amkes my skin look really cakey and dry. So after alot of researching on you tube and looking at other peoples reviews i came across this foundation and it is the rimmel match perfection foundation in light ivory shade 091, instead of paying full price i brought it off ebay instead just to save on money incase i didnt like it, i brought the 30ml bottle for £3 something which i thought was abit of a bargain!!
The foundation comes in a glass like (not sure if its glass or not, wouldnt of thought so) see through bottle with a blue pump nozzle and a clear plastic top that just goes straight over it, what drew me in to buying this foundation was that it said that it adapted to skin tone and texture so i thought this would be perfect as i can have really dry skin at the best of times and it says that its perfectly flawless..so when i finally recieved the foundation in the post i could wait to try this little beauty out, i made sure my skin was clean and moisturised before applying and i put a squirt from the nozzle onto my hands rubbed it into both hands and then applied everywhere on my face making sure i rubbed it in well and paid attention under my neck and underneath my eyes (where i get dark circles) once that first layer was applied i had a really good look to see if i could see a difference and no joke straight away my skin looked so different, it looked really fresh and could barely see a blemish on my face, i then decided to put another tiny tiny squirt on my hands again just to go under the eye area and on the cheeks and after that my skin looked flawless!!! i must say this is the best foundation i have ever used as it just applies brilliantly, it doesnt make you look like youve got loads of foundation on, it brightens up the face and it evens out skin tone and makes your face look really fresh.
When i tried it out for work i thought this will be the real test as i have to wear it all day, but this foundation did not do me wrong, it stayed put all day long and it never dried out once so all day i felt like i was gleaming which is amazing and its not heavy on the skin either so it can easily be worn all day long with no hassle and no top ups inbetween.
The actual foundation itself states on the back of the bottle that it has smart tone technology and that it adapts to colour and texture of the skin, flawless natural finish. With an oxygen complex and lets skin breathe..and if im honest that just sums it right up as i love it and i wont be using another foundation for a long time.
This perfume Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna was purchased for me about 2 weeks ago as i had run out of perfume, i smelt the tester bottle first as i wasnt a hundred percent sure what to expect from a perfume by Rihanna and i was impressed by it.
The perfume itself comes in a sleek bottle which is wide at the bottom and gets thinner as it gets to the top, the colours used for the bottle is a gold and black with a simple sleek design which i really like as it isnt too fancy and not over the top at all, the top is a black lid with a gold crusted bottom to it and is easy to take off and the perfume colour is a little tinted.
The smell of the perfume is a very strong powerful smell and has quite a musky scent, its more of a scent that you smell on an older female as they go for musky smelling perfumes, i couldnt imagine smelling it on a younger female as this doesnt smell very floral or sweet at all, its a bit hard to explain the scent but it does smell very nice and is a strong smelling perfume. The 30ml bottle was purchased for me from superdrug and if im honest i didnt pay any attention to how how much it was as my boyfriend was paying for it (apologies) i wore it that night to a wedding reception and there was a few people that asked me what perfume i was wearing and they all said they really liked it so it was very nice to get compliments on it. The next day when i woke up i could actually still smell the perfume on my skin but just abit more fainter.
I am very impressed with this perfume as the smell is beautiful and suitable for my age (26) and the bottle is a nice sleek bottle which looks very sophisticated and not too fancy and the smell just lasts for ages!! I would give it a massive thumbs up and it is worth smelling before purchasing.. but i would say its not the kind of perfume that you could wear on a daily basis as it is more of an evening one so dont give up the day perfume.
I have brought this foxy curls contour cream many times as i find it is great for my hair type, it comes in a funny shapped bottle with a dispensing top, bed head products can be a little pricey so i would recommend shopping around before buying the first bottle you see of this, i managed to get a bottle on offer at TKmaxx for £5 which was a really good buy.
To use this contour cream to its best ability you can use it on wet or dry hair and it does state on the bottle it works best if you use it with other products from the foxy curls range but i find that not to be true, you apply a small amount of cream to your hands and rub them together then apply evenly to hair, you really dont need to use a lot of product as you find a little goes along way and you scrunch in to hair and leave product to dry. If you use to much product it will make your hair clump together and go hard trust me lesson has been learnt. I find all the foxy curl range to smell really nice it has a smell like fruity bubble gum and smells really yummy!!
I have used the foxy curl range for some time now and i find all of them to work really well and if used correctly with using small amounts at a time then it lasts a really long time.
When it was my birthday i asked for some foxy curls curling cream but my mom actually purchased the wrong one for me but i didnt have the heart to tell her so i thought well i might aswel use it and not let it go to waste. It comes in a large dark purple bottle with a small plastic top to protect the dispensing spray top, i like using the foxy curls range as i have wavy frizzy hair so when i used this i found it to be no different and it works really well.
You can use it on towel dried or dry hair and you literally spray through hair evenly and leave and this spray will define curls but i find it works better if you spray the product on to your hands and scrunch it through hair and leave as i have found before when you use to much of this stuff it makes your hair go rock hard in places and then it just leaves your hair looking nasty.
The product does say to use with other foxy curls products for it to work best but i found it works either way so you dont have to purchase the whole range!! The foxy curl range can be a little pricey so i would try different shops before purchasing so you can get a good price on it but i can honestly say this product does define my curls.
When me and my partner moved into our flat a few months ago we decided to keep everything to a minimum cost which meant food shopping aswel so i suggested trying aldi for the first time. Aldi stock your normal everyday foods including fresh foods which some people dont realise and they sell it at a cheaper price, your normal food that you purchase from aldi like chocolate and crisps etc arent named brands they normally have some foreign name so obviously they can sell it at a cheaper price than your normal supermarket but i have to admit all the food still tastes just as good as your branded food. I will admit i have found one product i didnt like and that was a tin of baked beans and there was nothing wrong with it as a product, it was just me i prefer heinz baked beans that was all.
They stock your fresh foods like cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, salads and they stock fresh fruit like grapes, strawberries, apples, banannas etc. We have also tasted the fresh meat which there are a number of chicken bits like thighs, breasts, legs etc with good dates on like 4/5 days and you can freeze the products on the day of purchase like what you normally can. You can also purchase frozen food, milk, toilet paper and alcohol at a lot cheaper price.
When i was doing my fortnighly shop before at a well known supermarket i would spend around £140 and that was just for 2 of us and since i have been shopping at aldi i am spending around £80 and we still have lots of frozen left over. I would recommend it to everyone as it has saved me a fortune and i enjoy what i am eating.
Only word of advice would be if you are trying it for the first time either take bags with you to put all your food in when the cashier is scanning all the items or collect cardboard boxes on the way round instead of bags as the cashier scans the products so fast you havent got time to pack everything at the till.
I brought these leggings a few months ago and have only just took the tags off them and worn them as i must admit ive never been on the legging bandwaggon but as i said recently i worn them as i am sick of wearing jeans all the time and i am currently 5 months pregnant and i must say they are just so comfy.
I purchased the black ankle leggings off the new look website and paid under £10 for them as they were on offer and thought i really need something quite comfy for slouching around the house and maybe for everyday wear and to my suprise after trying these on months later after i recieved them i wished i had purchased and worn them sooner, the material is good enough so you dont actually see your skin through it as they are made out of cotton but you can see pant lines so i do advise you to wear long tops/ cardys or dresses with them. My leg measurement is roughly between a 32" and a 34" and these fit perfectly and they have enough room for a bump as well as i brought a size 8. I have washed these leggings on a 30 wash and a 40 wash and they wash really well so i am very impressed and they havent gone out of shape at all, i personally recommend these as an essential in everyones wardrobe.
I brought this MUA brush on concealer pen off the MUA website at just £2 and the product is a black chunky like pen with a pull off lid and has a brush and thats where the concealer comes out of and the other end of the concealer you twist the top which makes the concealer go onto the brush. When i used this product for the first time i applied the concealer directly to my face and the bristles on the brush are very soft and it is easy to blend in to the skin and it is an easy grip on the chunky pen so applying is very easy to do. The colour of the concealer i purchased was the lightest colour they done as i have very pale skin and sfter some blending it was a well match.
I do find the concealer on my face doesnt last all day and i do find it looks dry and cracked onto the skin after being their for a few hours but i think if you moisturise regularly and dont apply alot just a thin layer because it does cover blemishes then everything will look fine as it doesnt look like a cheap brush on concealer and it is at a bargain price.
I brought this shampoo recently with the matching conditioner for a £1 which is a great price and i am very glad i did. The shampoo comes in a 400ml white bottle with a flip lid and the smell of the shampoo is coconut and lychee extracts and it is made for all hair types and it states on the bottle that it infuses moisture and restores shine, gently cleanses and strengthens with pro vitamin B5.
The first time i used this shampoo i noticed as soon as i opened the bottle the scent that came from it was absolutley amazing it was this coconut creamy smell and it smelt lush, after lathering it up in my hair and giving my scalp a good clean it washed out really easily and my hair felt instantly softer and i hadnt even used the conditioner yet!!
After using the matching shampoo and conditioner i really noticed the difference my hair is manageable, softer, i dont feel like there is as many split ends and it also gives it a really nice shine and even when my hair is naturally dried or ive used a hair dryer it still smells great even after a couple of days and i think a main bonus of this shampoo and conditioner is that it is made for all hair types so anyone can use it and enjoy what it has to offer because i know i will definately be purchasing again.
I do buy alot of alberto balsam hair shampoo and conditioners as i find these sometimes come as a pack of 2 and they are at a brilliant price at only £1 for both. I personally like using the coconut and lychee conditioner as its for all hair types and it states that it detangles and smooths hair, leaves hair manageable and it strengthens with pro vitamin B5.
After using this conditioner a couple of times i am so impressed with it, it comes in a 400ml white bottle with a flip lid and you put the conditioner onto your hands and you massage it in to your hair and scalp and leave for a couple of minutes, i found as soon as i opened the bottle the beautiful scent that came from it was amazing it has this lovely coconut creamy smell to it, after leaving my hair for a few minutes and then washing out the conditioner i noticed straight away that i could smell my hair and it felt soft instantly.
Even after leaving my hair to dry naturally i found that my hair was rather manageable as i have very frizzy hair with flyaway bits and it just seemed to calm it down abit so i could actually do something with it, when my partner gave me a cuddle later that evening even he commented on how good my hair smelt (which is always a bonus when a man notices) i have found found my hair is a lot softer also so i will be carrying on purchasing this little beauty in the future.
I have always been a big fan of crisps and like many flavours but i do have to say by far i love MCcoys ridge cut salt and malt vinegar the best!! I normally buy these in a pack of 6 and get them from my local shop at £1 which works out to be less than 20p per bag and i have to admit i never buy them as a single bag as they are just far too expensive so i normally buy a couple of bags of the 6 packs.
I find every bag of salt & malt vinegar are nearly full to the top which nowadays you find that very unusual as a lot of packets of crisps are only half full and then you end up eating 2 bags of crisps which is rubbish so i am never disappointed with the quantity thats in each bag.
I think every crisp is just packed with flavouring and that you never get a dull one and the sizing is all different with some crisps being absolutely massive. One thing i have noticed on the back of the packet of crisps is that it states ever since they have been cooking the MCcoys crisps in 100% sunflower oil is that it now has 30% less saturated fat which i think that has made them even better than what they were before and they are still so tasty!!
I brought this glitter crackle nail varnish with some other things i brought off the MUA website and originally i wasnt actually looking for a nail polish but i was going through each catergory and i thought i will have a quick skim through the nail varnishes and i seen their new glitter nail quake nail varnish range which looked very appealing as i really like crackle nail polishes.
I purchased the pink nail quake nail varnish and for those of you that have never tried it, you first pick any coloured nail polish that you have and paint your nails in that which gives you nails a base and you wait for that to dry completely you then apply a thin layer on your crackle nail polish over the top and right before your eyes your glitter crackle nail polish starts cracking and its brilliant (make sure you leave that to dry also) it gives your nails a two tone effect.
I have found it works better if you only use a thin layer of the crackle nail polish it just seems to crack alot better, the colour comes out brilliantly but i would say i ordered pink but it was more of a purple colour just to let everyone know but that didnt stop me from using it. I found it looked really good because the crackle nail polish was glitter and it looked really different, i cant wait to purchase some more of these nail polishes in different colours, they do gold, silver, copper, blue, pink and green and they are only £2.99 which i thought was a great price.
I brought this face primer off the MUA website as i wanted to try a primer that would set my face up for makeup. It comes a small black bottle with a screw top lid and very easy to use. You firstly make sure you have a clean face then put a small amount of this face primer onto your hands and rub in all over and well, it comes out in like a white cream and it just nicely glides on to the face and the skin absorbs it well as i said before you really dont need to use alot.
When the face primer has been completely rubbed into the face you can then apply the rest of your makeup like you normally would, the face primer gives your face a 'base' so it sets the face up for foundation and powder etc by smoothing out an uneven skin tone and slightly mattifying the skin and it also reduces the size of pores. If you use foundation the foundation will set over the face primer which will make it last alot longer.
I have found this nifty little product to be great as it does what it says and it moistens my face and makes it really soft and i have noticed that my makeup does last alot longer and i find if i am wearing foundation it actually makes the foundation easier to apply so i am a big fan!! This face primer only cost me £4 which is an absolute bargain and i will definately be buying again.
I like to try different mascaras as i go off them easily and i like to see the benefit of different ones so i thought i would purchase this new 'theyre real' mascara by benefit cosmetics as it is highly recommended by all the girls that work on benefit counters (but i suppose they would recommend it) but i gave in and tried it anyways and here i are my thoughts..
The mascara appealed to me as it volumises, curls, lengthens, lifts and seperates lashes well thats what it states, it comes in a shiny silver bottle and the mascara brush is a curvy shape to get every single lash and coat them well. The first application i tried it didnt really do anything spectacular like i thought it would the only good thing it never smudged as it came out really wet when applying and didnt think it was ever going to dry.
When the first application dried i then put another application on to see what 'miracles' it would do but to my disappointment it didnt really do alot except clump up my eyelashes which i thought was absolutely rubbish, there was no amazingly long volumising lashes going on on my face they just looked clumpy and dry.
The mascara on the website and on the benefit cosmetic counters will cost you a massive £18.50 which is very expensive but if it worked you could understand why but i personally will not be purchasing again as i have found better mascaras that are under £5.
I really needed an eye pencil that would brighten up my eye area not long ago and after using many benefit cosmetic products i thought that would be the best brand to go with.
It comes in a 14g black pencil with the words 'eye bright' wrote over it and the nib of the pencil is a light pink colour so the colour is very natural which i thought was better then white as white can look very unnatural when brightening up the inners of the eye.
To apply the 'eye bright' pencil i put it in the inner of my eyes after i had applied all my makeup to my face to make my eyes look brighter and wider and then i blended it in with my finger you can also use a cotton bud to do this too which gives the same effect and blends in really nicely to make it look more natural and another advantage is that the pencil will last along time because you dont need to use much each application.
After using this eye pencil for a few days i did think wouldnt it be a good idea to use the pencil to highlight underneath my eyebrow and i tried this by colouring in the pencil onto my first finger so it was already blended and then lightly rubbing that finger underneath the eyebrow and it really made a difference it made my eye are look really nice and bright and wide awake and my eyes looked bigger.
I purchased this eye pencil from the benefit cosmetics website which cost me a whopping £14 which was extremely expensive but next time i purchase it i will be buying it from somewhere like ebay so it will save me some pennies.
I brought this Garnier summer body lotion a couple of months ago, it appealed to me as i have very pale skin and when we do actually have any sun i cant just sit out in it as it burns my skin so i wanted a sun kissed look amd this product says it builds up a natural looking tan and it has 12 hours moisturisation and i thought this looks good to me.
The bottle i brought was a 400ml and is long and slender and it comes in yellow and i purchased this from superdrug when it was on offer for under £5..bargain..on the back of the bottle it says how this product is different and how it works by saying it moisturises your skin and builds up a natural looking tan and it works with your natural skin tone to do this. The directions on how to use it, you need to apply product evenly all over skin and can be used everyday and to make sure you wash your hands after each application.
When it came to using this product i made sure i put a little moisturiser on dry bits of my skin beforehand like my elbows and knees. I used a very small amount for every bit of my body as i didnt want it to go wrong as you cant actually see where you have applied it when you are rubbing it in as the lotion comes out in a white colour and it doesnt tint the skin when applying. The smell when applying smells really fresh as i hate when you apply fake tan they always have a funny smell to them and then you start smelling after a while.
A couple of hours after applying i noticed a hint of colour coming to my skin and then a further 2 hours i noticed i was a little darker and it had given me a slight sunkissed look but i did want to be a little darker so i thought i will just apply the next day. The cream rubs in really easily and the skin absorbs it really well, a little later on after wearing clothes and doing everyday things i did notice a slight funny smell and i smelt my arm and it was coming from the tan, so later on i had a shower and you notice after the shower the tan doesnt really stay on so i did apply again the next morning and hours later again there was a funny smell which i cant describle, it did just smell like fake tan i suppose and it wasnt the nicest so i was abit disappointed with that so i am afraid to say i wont be using this product again in the future.
