Well.. its clear that Apple are onto a winner with the iPad and the third iteration does not disappoint. While at first glance it looks very like the iPad 2, on the inside there has been some serious changes.
Differences? Well first of all the new iPad has a retina display running at 2048 x 1536 at 264ppi - which essentially means it is absolutely gorgeous to look at.. Everything from text to images look substantially better, plus with the addition of increased colour saturation I cannot stress how good HD photos look on this device. This for me is the probably the main reason you will want one of these.
Adding to this is the A5X processor and an increase to 1GB of RAM, meaning you really don't experience much waiting when using the iPad. Everything feels very responsive. I look forward to seeing what games developers can do with the improved quad-core graphics processor in the iPad also.
As is now the norm from Apple, build quality is as you would expect. Lovely aesthetics - Aluminium casing and oleophobic, scratch-proof glass are married together to produce a clean, and quality finish.
Further improved is the camera, which has moved from 0.7MP (mega-pixels) to 5MP. This is a substantial increase, plus the same 5 element lens system used on the iPhone 4S makes for some impressive photo's and Full HD (1080p) quality videos. One criticism in my opinion is the lack of flash which will render the camera a lot less effective in some situations.
Even with this powerful display and improved processing, battery life is more than acceptable. You can expect around 2 days usage between charges.
One addition to functionality is the use of voice dictation. I find it to be really very accurate, perhaps only having some difficulty with my Geordie accent from time to time!!
Personally, I find that my iPad serves as a device for the living room and on the move. Its a fantastic way to enjoy the internet in comfort. For too long I have sat at a desk trying to read the best the internet has to offer while uncomfortable and in some pain. Now I can sit/lie on the sofa and read long posts as if they were part of a book. Browsing the internet (in the most part) is the most enjoyable for me on my iPad. The lack of flash is still an issue, but one that is becoming less and less thanks to HTML 5. Also, the new HD camera allows me to capture family moments in great quality and in video.
The new retina display has also improved my experience doing what I enjoy the most on the iPad, reading. Text on this device is so impressive I really find reading on it to be a real pleasure.
For those who have never used an iPad I honestly believe now is the best time to go ahead and at the very least have a go. I'm certain you'll be impressed. It is simply one of the most enjoyable ways to consume the web to date.
The Samsung RL52VPBTB is a great fridge freezer.
It is very spacious with a modern design. The lighting is bright allowing for you to see everything in the fridge with ease. It comes with an excellent temperature readout on the door so you can see and set the temperatures of both the fridge and freezer.
I like that the shelving is customisable, it has certain shelves which will fold back allowing for more space internally to store larger bottles.
We use this shelf folded back all the time as one problem I have is there isn't much in the way of door space for tall bottles.
There are several drawers within the fridge, on selected models there is a special draw setting which is at a lower temperature than the rest of the fridge. Great for meats and veg.
The water cooler is brita filtered, and a decent capacity. I usually fill it only once a day, but i must stress they really do make the kids want to drink more water - so definitely a plus point.
There is an alarm which starts to beep telling you if you forget to close the doors, I was surprised how often I've needed to hear it!
One thing I love is the blue LED lighting in the door handle space, it can be turned off and cycled through 3 brightness settings also.
The freezer is a good size, and also comes with a tray in the top for storing ice cubes and lollies for the kids!
One gripe would be that when we had ours delivered it had a dent in the side (obv this is due to delivery ppl) it was tho very quiet. When it was replaced the new one is more noisy, so this is something to watch for.
If contracts are coming to an end and you want to get yourself the greatest experience on the go, look no further than the iPhone 4S.
This may seem like a dramatic statement, but once you actually use one you will understand what I mean.
Take for example the best Android phones, which may have faster processors or boast other features, thanks to a poorer operating system that is buggy and slow the experience you get using these phones is 2nd rate in comparison to the iPhone using iOS.
The phone itself is a beautiful device, as I've mentioned the operating system is excellent - Fast and responsive and thanks to the app store extremely customisable. The screen is simply mind blowing the 1st time you see it. So clear it further improves the experience. The latest version of the camera on the phone is really amazing. You can do without carrying a camera because I doubt most compacts can compare to the images you can take with the iPhone.
One thing I would say is you really have to be careful with the phone, it can be a bit fragile. A case is probably recommended!!
All in all this is simply an incredible phone, which really allows for great usage of the internet on the go. I only wish mobile operators would allow larger data limits for you to consume more content on it!
