I recieved one of these Morphy Richards 43926 Meno hot water dispensers as a gift. At first i thought what do i need a hot water dispenser for the kettle does the job but after using it for sometime i can say its been used more than the £45 kettle that i have. The Morphy Richards 43926 Meno hot water dispenser boils water in 45 seconds and is extremely consistent. Compared to my kettle that takes 120 seconds to boil when full. Another good thing about this hot water dispenser is that it saves much more electric than an average kettle... The manufacturer manual stated 70% more saved energy. The capacity is 1.8 liter and comes with a removable drip tray. It really does save me time in mornings and i don't get a big build up of lime scale like in the bottom of my kettle which is another reason why i really like this hot water dispenser. Its not a cheap purchase but highly recommended as in the long run it probably pays for its self with the energy it saves.
Bought my BT Verve 450 Twin Telephones from amazon abit ago for £59.99. When i started searching for a new Telephone i wanted a twin with built in answering machine and at a good price. The first one i found was Philips CD1752B/05 telephone with built in answering machine for £31.99 then i come across the BT Verve 450 Twin handset for £59.99 and at that bargain price i bought it. Both Telephones work great and the feature of knowing who is leaving a message in real time when they leave it is superb for if you're avoiding a certain phone call. Another great thing about the BT Verve 450 is that you can press the button on the base station and hear you're messages without picking the phone up. This is good when you are making a coffee and can just press the button and listen to your messages why you are doing your thing. Anyway its got a good recommendation from me and perfect for someone that wants a high quality Telephone at a budget price.
Normally a pair of headphones lasts me about 2-3 months not sure if its just the way i keep them or that they have a tendency to break but i was using some iLuv in ear headphones from argos untill about a month ago when one of the Headphones stopped emitting sound. I come across some Radiopaq flips in ear headphones on amazon for £5.99 about a month ago so snapped them up quick as that was cheaper than the iLuv ones i originally had. Firstly they produce great sound quality really would think they cost more than £5.99 with the quality of the sound. The Ear peices keep the sound in your ear more and they don't slip out like some other budget headphones. The colour of mine is red and i use them on with my Ipod Nano and Samsung Galaxy S2. They are cheap and give similar quality to more expensive headphones the wires are thin and could snap easily but accept for that highly recommended.
Originally we bought a 52 " LCD TV second hand from a local news paper advert, we got the TV only to find it had greater problems than the buyer stated when we bought it. The TV was a write off we contacted bright house and got a Bush 3D 40 " LCD TV from them. The size is perfect for our living room and the 3D is just awesome with the glasses! The full HD 1080p is top quality with 4 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports this means you can use your USB devices with the TV, great for viewing your holiday pictures on the large screen. The sound is top notch- Dual layer. 71 channel audio output. Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS and Dolby True HD decoding, Also with an Ethernet port. The Bush 3D 40 " LCD TV is a top buy if you want excellent picture and sound quality. None of this comes at a low price tag though.
A friend that had no success with keeping fish give me this aquarium it looks really cool and stylish but the size and quality of the equipment make this tank a bad choice. Firstly the fact that it is clearly marketed at children and as an aquarium to keep goldfish. I had the tank set up with around 8 baby minnows that thrived in there for a few months. I did add an additional Internal filter though as the one supplied with the tank is weak and cant hold much waste. A while after the fish died and i use it now as a small sump to hold live rock on my nano reef. The problem is that the tank is marketed towards kids with there first goldfish when this tank is nothing close to the required size to successfully keep any species of goldfish. An aquarium of atleast 8-10 x the size of this is what would be required for them. The only fish really suitable for this tank would be small danios or minnows nothing more than about 1.5 inches. Not many of these aquariums marketed for kids are really good habitats for fish.
Bought this Argos value range dvd player a long time ago when my xbox 360 broke and i needed a backup for watching dvds. It done a good job and still works, i don't use it now because its in my loft and i watch dvds on my xbox. But it worked fine for 6 months with regular use and shows no problems now. Compatible with- DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and JPEG, most formats that you need really for a dvd player. The Arogs value range dvd player has one scart input and comes with a half decent remote control! It does the job even with half dead batteries. Sound quality is Dolby and the size is - 3.8 x 22.5 x 23.5cm. just incase your wondering if it will fit on your tv shelf. Its a good buy if you want a dvd player at a very cheap price and don't want recording functions.
I originally bought a tesco value juicer and that took ages to clean and the motor was quite weak... Had to do a lot of chopping to get fruit like apples in their. So i invested in the Jack LaLanne Juicer from amazon as the rating was good and the price was fairly low. After using it for a while it works good juices all fruit and veg that ive put in it and a good amount of juice from the fruit too. Some fruit like apples and pears need to be prepared and cut so they fit down the chute. Also much easier to clean than the budget juicer i purchased i use the green rough side of a sponge to gently remove the stains without pressure though as it can scratch. Had it for over a year and it works well i don't use it a great deal because the preparation and cleaning can get in the way. But so far no problems with juicing.
I've played Grand theft auto 4 for years on the xbox 360 but wanted to give it a go on the pc so bought GTA 4 from Game fly (online) the download took 3 days only to find it wouldn't play on my pc as the graphics card wasn't adequate. I then bought a EVGA GeForce from amazon and it plays great on single player (not played multi). the graphics are good and the missions are like playing on the xbox just with a smaller screen. The controls took ages to get used to though as im not a pc gamer normally but the amount of mod packs available to download just make it all worth it. The game can be customized with specific packs, much more cool cars and weapons that can be added on the pc version with some coding. Its not much different than the xbox 360 version but its good to be able to mod the game play!
The LG KS360 is the phone i previously had before i invested in my Samsung Galaxy smartphone still have it now as a work phone, very nice phone and writing texts is really fast with the qwerty key pad. Bought mine from tesco admittedly its not got the best features and not in the same league as the Samsung Galaxy but for less than half the price its a great phone for the texters. The phone its self is nice and small but the big down side is only a 2mp camera and no flash. Another big problem is there's no 3G or wifi but if you are a messenger then thats not a big problem. Also the browser could do with a big upgrade so downloading another browser such as skyfire or opera would be a advisable upgrade to browse the Internet. But to just summarize if you want a phone to text and send messages or do the occasional browsing its a good choice.
Duracell zMate Pen Nacre 4 GB got mine from amazon for a really good price compared to 8gb ones from tesco and argos. Admittedly its not the biggest USB flash drive but it can hold a generous amount of everyday computer data. Not much use for storing video clips or large programs but for files it could hold upto 10,000 2 page documents or 800 music files on average depending on the size of the files. The look to the Duracell zMate 4gb flash drive is smooth and rounded and so far no fading to the color (not like that matters to much) No scratches either which is good considering its a few months old. The Durability of the Duracell zMate is great its nice and solid and like most new things of mine its been dropped a fair bit and still looks like its brand new. So if you want a cheap storage device for average storage the Duracell zMate is a good choice. If its media and other large files you are storing go for something 16gb +.
The Baby Biorb is the smallest in the Biorb Collection with its small stylish look its a popular aquarium! I own a Baby Biorb but have made a number of modifications to the system. Don t expect more than 2-3 1-2 inch fish in the Baby Biorb aquarium without changing the filtration system. The Baby Biorb is essentially a modern fish bowl and for this reason Gold Fish should never be considered as suitable fish for the aquarium. The filtration system is the worst part of the Baby Biorb, its a basic undergravel filtration system that uses cartridges that are replaced monthly. This filtration system is run off an air pump and is the least effective form of filtration for aquariums. If you want to keep more than 2-3 very small fish then consider adding an additional small Power filter. The good points would be the Size, Style and the ease of set up and maintenance.
I bought the Shielded Cat6a Patch Cable last week when i wanted to connect another one of my xbox 360s to xbox live. The network adapter was quite expensive and i wanted a cheap alternative that would give a consistent signal so i bought the Shielded Cat6a Patch Cable. Got it all rigged up its working great. I was dubious because of the low price but happily surprised. The plastic Shields mounted to the Cat6a Patch Cable do a good job at protecting the fragile plastic clips that hold the Patch cable into the device as on my last Patch Cable the clips broke off after some use. The Patch Cable is a nice length at over 3 meters so you can connect your devices across a good distance with superior quality. If you are looking for a good patch cable with higher bandwith than Cat5 then personally i recommend the Shielded Cat6a Patch Cable as a top choice!
I got my Samsung i9100 Galaxy S II last Christmas and it is by far the best phone i've purchased. The fact it only has one button on the front of the phone makes it very stylish and its ultra thin. Customize the pages to your taste with browsers, widgets, shortcuts, folders plus many of other things. The fact i can do anything i could on a desktop but with as much mobility as the phone is great. Surfing the web is a breeze and even typing up small documents. Highlights- The Camera is 8mp with autofocus and takes quality pictures and videos. Fully touch 4.3 inch AMOLED touchscreen. Use the phones wifi to connect other devices wirelessly to the Internet. Dual-Core 1.2GHz Cortex CPU. Battery life of upto 8 hours depending on the brightness and settings. Bad Points- Can be hard to type with big fingers. Not as touch responsive with some apps.
I've been using Tetra 6 in 1 aquarium test kits for about 6 months they give accurate water parameters and are much easier to use than a regular test kit as they are very simple strips that gives accurate readings on the water. Checking you're aquarium water is very important for any type of fish and ensures the tank is a stable environment for them to live in. The Tetra 6 in 1 aquarium test kit is suitable for cold water and tropical aquarium fish. Simply dip the test strip into the aquarium water and wait 60 seconds, then compare the strip against the chart for a full reading. The test kit tests PH, Nitrites, Nitrates, Carbonate, General Hardness and Chlorine. The bad point about the test kit is that you cant test Ammonia levels (which is equally important). The dimensions of the box - 12 x 12 x cm and total weight is around 40g. Its not the best aquarium test kit on the market but for the price its great value and a must buy for any aquarist.
