I have used these Max and Millie sleeping bags with my son since he was born. I used them as soon as he was big enough to go in them which is over 8lbs. My son was only 5lb when born, and it was so much easier once he could fit into one of these, instead of using blankets.
The idea is that your baby sleeps in the sleeping bag with their head and arms free, and they won't get cold in the night by kicking the covers off! These are one of the best inventions ever for babies in my opinion! I felt my son was so safe in his sleeping bag.
The sleeping bags are quite long in length so your baby has lots of space to kick their legs around, and not feel restricted. The sleeping bag fastens by poppers over the babies shoulders, which are really easy to fasten and open but feel really secure enough that they won't pop open during the night. It also has a zip along the side and bottom to get your baby in and out really easily. My son never managed to get out of his sleeping bag, and he used them until he was 18 months old. He could stand up in it, but at least I knew he wouldn't be able to try and climb out of his cot whilst wearing one!
These sleeping bags are only 2.5 tog but they are really cosy and warm. My son always felt lovely and warm wearing one, although I did keep the room temperature nice and warm too as I worried his arms would get cold. The always lasted me 6 months each time I had one, and never looked really worn out. I have kept them all for my next baby, they are excellent quality.
You can pick these up in Asda for around £12, they regularly have these half price at £6 which is a bargain for these, they are such good quality, and the Max and Millie themes are really cute and suitable for a boy or girl. I'd highly recommend these sleeping bags, they are worth every penny for peace of mind whilst your baby sleeps safely!
This is the fourth high chair I have bought for my son who is now 21 months old, and I have to say, I am so glad I have finally found the perfect high chair for him! I paid £40 for this high chair in Mothercare, but it was not in stock when I went to buy it instore. I don't live close to a Mothercare so the only option was to pay for it to be delivered when it came in stock which I wasn't best pleased about. I had to pay £5 delivery as I was unable to come all the way back to collect it. I really do think if a product is out of stock then they should deliver it for free to compensate!
Anyway, I am glad we waited for this high chair, we are really pleased with it. We bought it in the traffic jam design which is aimed at boys. It is white and blue with different vehicles all over it such as buses, bikes, cars etc. My son loves his vehicles so this theme fits him perfectly.
This was really easy to put together, it was up in no time. I have no problem carrying this high chair from room to room depending on where my son wants to eat! Its lightweight enough to carry a short distance. The seat can be wiped down, and the straps can be taken off to be washed. The whole high chair is just simple and easy to use and clean.
The tray comes off and slots back on again, and has 4 different positions. The actual seat has three different positions too which we have found useful while my son is still small so we can get him close enough to the tray, but there is plenty of room for him when he gets bigger if you move the seat and tray out a bit.
The high chair also has a foot rest which is plastic and can be wiped down easily, just like everything on the highchair, the foot rest seems to get loads of food all over it with my son!
There is a basket on the bottom which I thought would be really useful to put bibs/wipes in etc, but I have had to take it off, as food kept being dropped into it and everything got messy in there, so the basket is no good to us with such a messy eater! It is a shame because the basket is really big and spacious, you can get a lot in there, it's a great little extra if you need a little bit of storage for meal time items.
My son seems really happy in this high chair, I have tried four now to find the one he is comfortable in and he actually sits and eats his meals no problem now. This high chair has made meal times so much easier for us, and my son loves the little drink holder in the tray too. If we give him pieces of food cut up on the tray, his favourite game is just putting them all in the drink holder and taking them all back out again! When he has finished his meal too, I always know, as he takes all his leftovers off his plate and puts it all in the drink holder as if he is tidying up!
This is a brilliant high chair for the money, its a really nice design, it comes in a girly butterfly design too, its easy to clean, folds up too for storage, and its spacious for my little one as he grows up! Highly recommended!
My brother bought this for my little boy when he was seven months old for Christmas. My son has played with this so much over the last year, he is 20 months old now, and loves this little car. He is into his vehicles, but this one is much more than just a toy car. I have seen this in The Early Learning Centre for £15, and it is very well priced. I would definitely pay this myself if I was buying it.
This is a really cute, bright and colourful car. I think it is a lot bigger than it actually looks in the picture, it is a decent sized toy car. The car has eyes on the front which move up and down when the car moves along the floor, and also when the car moves the bonnet moves up and down slightly too. At the back, there is a flap for the boot, which opens and shuts, which is my sons favourite part of the toy. He loves opening this flap and putting things inside the car and then driving them about. The flap is easy for young children to work. There isn't much space inside the car, but you can fit very small toys inside.
This toy is also a shape sorter. There are four shaped holes in the car, two on each side, a square, triangle, circle and heart. It comes with the shapes to put through the holes, and there is a button that the shapes press when you place them in the holes, and it either plays tunes or says the name of the shape, so it is a great educational toy too when your little one is learning shapes and words.
The shapes are quite small, and my son finds them a little too small and fiddly at his age, they could do with being bigger. The stickers on them are starting the look rough and peel off at the corners now too.
The car has a string on the front to pull the car along, but I accidentally hoovered over this once, and it just snapped off, but my son never really pulled it along much anyway!
There are buttons on top of the car to press too, with car noises and music, and also two different settings to choose from. My son loves pressing the buttons and playing the music, it keeps him entertained for ages! He loves lining this car up in a line with all his other vehicles too, and does use it as a car as well as a musical toy and shape sorter.
I would highly recommend this toy, for boys or girls, it is bright, colourful, strong and well made. The music is cheerful and catchy, and the sound is loud and it keeps my son entertained every day!
I bought this little table and chairs for my son for Christmas. In the picture it is shown in purple, but I bought it in blue. I paid £49.99 for it on Amazon, and it is well worth the money.
This is a small children's table, and it comes with two chairs. It is really easy to put together and once up, it is really strong and sturdy, although still lightweight, my son has no problem moving the chairs or table around, at only 20 months old.
If I turn my back for a second, I find my son stood up on top of this table! Or on one of the chairs, he climbs on absolutely everything, and it doesn't wobble or slip on the floor when he is climbing on it, it is strong enough to easily take his weight.
The thing that made me go for this table and chairs over other ones, is that the actual table top comes off, and if you turn it over, it is a legoboard. This is no good for my son at this age as he is so young, he can't play with lego yet, but it will a great lego table for when he is older. The legoboard is multi coloured, and my son loves to put this on the floor and stand on it dancing when he hears music, as if it's a little dance floor!
The table top is actually quite heavy for little ones, my son can't lift it up on his own. It is also quite fiddly to get off for little hands, it slots on and off easily, but you have to pick it up from the sides, which can be a bit fiddly sometimes.
Inside the table is storage, which I find brilliant. I store all his puzzles in here so they don't get lost, and when he wants to play with his puzzles, he can just get them out of here and put them on the table top to play with them.
Another use for this table, is that its got a hole in the bottom of it, with a sort of cup that fits into it, to seal the hole up, and you can use it as a sand of water table! This is a brilliant extra for a table and chairs to come with, as it will save me buying a sand and water table for him in the summer! We have tried it with water and the cup does keep the water in, there were no leaks at all.
The only problem I have with this toy, is when my son uses the table and chairs for his dinners. It is really easy to wipe clean, but annoying if any food drops down the sides of the table top, as it goes inside the table!
Apart from that, the table is brilliant, the chairs are so cute and my son finds them really easy to get up onto and comfortable to sit on. I would highly recommend this table and chairs, it's great for both boys and girls, and is so much more than just a plain old table!
My mum got my little boy this Fisher-Price garage for Christmas, and she really did have trouble getting hold of it! She couldn't find it in stock anywhere, even Amazon emailed to say it was out of stock, which shows how popular this toy must have been at Christmas! Eventually I found it for her in a local Argos store, which still had one in stock so she reserved and collected it from there for £39.99. You can get this garage cheaper, at the moment on Amazon it is £33, which is a bargain for this toy.
This garage comes with two little people who fit in the car and tow truck it also comes with. My son loves putting the little people in the vehicles, and also some other little people he has got, fit into these as well. He loves driving the car and tow truck round on their own, but also loves playing with them on the ramp.
The garage has a circular ramp, which you put the cars at the top of, then gently push them and they go sliding down it. This is my sons favourite part, and he has got loads of little cars that he watches slide down the ramp, he is fascinated with it! He loves lining them all up first too on the top level, then pushing them down one by one. The elevator he doesn't really bother with yet, I have tried showing him how to move the lift up and down, but he doesn't seem interested yet! He is only 20 months old, so I am sure when he is a bit older and he understands more of what this toy is he may play with it a bit more!
It also has a few nice added extras such as a petrol pump, but my son doesn't understand all the little detailed things on the garage yet. It is really bright and colourful too which I love, it is a nice looking garage, and can be enjoyed by either a boy or a girl. The colours make it great for either. I do think this garage could have maybe come with some better cars, and a few more of them, if we didn't get some little cars off people for Christmas for my son I would have had to buy some for this I think. The ones it comes with my son does play with them, but they are small, great for little hands to grip, but my son does prefer his slightly bigger chunky cars to play with on this garage.
This was easy to put together, it comes in a lot of different bits though, and it is sturdy now made up. My son has climbed up and stood on top of this many a time when my back is turned and it holds his weight, he knows if he pushes this up to something, he can stand on it to reach something higher! It is plastic so really easy to clean, and I can see it lasting years. Its a great toy and I would highly recommend it!
I got this VTech bus for my little boy for Christmas. He is 20 months old and he absolutely loves this bus! It cost me £19.99 from Kiddicare, although after I had bought it, I did see it elsewhere a lot cheaper, the cheapest being £13 in a supermarket! This bus is worth every penny, it does so much, it is one of the best VTech toys I have bought.
I actually bought this bus originally because my son loves his vehicles and driving them around the house, so I thought I'd get a bus to add to his collection! He also loves pressing buttons, and this bus has a total of 44 buttons for him to press! He loves just sitting with it on his knee pressing all the buttons. There are two different sound settings to choose from too, low and high.
The bus is a decent size for a toddler, it has a handle on the bag to pick it up easier with. The bus is red with black wheels, and my son loves turning it upside down and just spinning the wheels, he is fascinated with wheels. Most of the buttons are on one side of the bus. There is the alphabet, and numbers 1-10, so this bus will be great when he is learning letters and numbers. They don't mean anything to him at the minute, they are just buttons for him to press! There are 4 different settings to have the bus on too, so when you press the letters and numbers, depending on which setting it is on, they play different things.
To help with learning letters, you can set the bus to the letters setting, and for example when you press the letter 'b' it says 'b is for ball', so it is quite simple for young children to understand and learn from.
My sons favourite setting is the music one. Each letter plays a different tune, and he loves dancing to them! The music is catchy and fun, and there are so many different tunes on there to listen to. There is also a phonics and quiz setting on the bus too.
On the top of the bus the buttons have a igniton sound, break sound, and horn. If you press the GO button, it changes where the bus is going to on the front, for example, it has the destination as school or zoo, which I think is a nice little extra, which also changes the words of the music to fit where the bus is going.
There is lots for children to play with on this bus, my son loves it, and it has been thrown about quite a lot recently, and it is a really strong and well made toy. I am pleased with this bus, it is worth what I paid for it, and can see it being played with for years to come, and would highly recommend it for both girls and boys!
I bought this for my son when he was around 6 months old. I paid £16 for it in Mamas and Papas but have seen it elsewhere in different packaging, exactly the same toy for a lot less!
This toy straps on to the bar of your pram, but it can be quite fiddly and hard to do this. The straps are plastic, and they are not quick and easy to do, it would be better if it had velcro straps. The toy has a little gear stick that your baby can move up and down, and also a red key your baby can turn. My son has never bothered with either of these features, all he wants is the little car in the middle! The car has a face on it, and a red steering wheel on top.
This little car has been brilliant over the last year, he still loves it now at 20 months old. It plays music when you press its horn, and my son loves pretending to turn the wheel. He takes the car off this toy now, and just drives it along the floor, and it is now amongst all his other little cars, so I don't use this on the pram anymore!
There is an on/ off switch on the car for the music, my son dropped this in his paddling pool in the summer, and now it doesn't play anything! He just uses it as a little car to drive about now, hes quite happy with it just being a simple toy!
I wouldn't recommend this toy for the price, I would say it is worth around £8, not the £16 I paid for it. It is lovely, bright and colourful, but I do think it is overpriced! It is very sturdy and well made, aswell as being light and easy for young children to grip and pick up. My son loves the little car, it is played with everyday so I am glad I got it, maybe when he is older and he sort of knows what the gear stick and key are he may pretend play with the other part of the toy a bit more, but for now, hes quite happy with just the little car!
I bought my son this activity table when he was 8 months old, I had seen it selling in Asda for £35 before Christmas last year, and then in the sales for £25. I then found it a couple of weeks after Christmas in my local ASDA reduced even further to £16!
My son loved this toy as soon as I got it out of the box. He was just starting to sit up at the time, and I sat him in front of this table and he was so happy playing with it! This was really easy to put up, even I could do it and I usually leave things like that to my other half! All you do is put the legs onto the table, which just click in.
The table is sturdy, but still very lightweight to pick up and take to other rooms. This really helped my little boy go from sitting to standing as he would always try and pull himself up to standing my using this table, and would lean on it once stood up and play.
There are lots of different activities on this little table, but they are only really for very young children to play with. My son is now 20 months old, and this table went up into the loft about 3 months ago as he didn't bother with it anymore. Nothing interested him anymore, as he has already worked out how to do everything, and there wasn't much to keep him entertained anymore.
This table has a hippo head which talks when you open and shut it, but my son quickly worked out he could pull this off the table, and as soon as you put it back on again, he would pull it straight back off!
There is a little piano which says colours or plays a piano tune, a roller to spin, a tiger which you can pull the tail on to make different sounds, which was one of my sons favourite parts when he was younger. It makes animals sounds and he loved pulling the tail and listening to the different sounds.
It also has a monkey and some rings to play with, and in the middle is a small book, and when you turn the page it sets everything on the activity table to a different setting where it will play different tunes and sounds.
My son loved playing with this table regularly when he was younger, and then he just loved to climb on top of it and climb over it once he reached about 12 months, and then never actually took any interest in the activities, so it is now in the loft in case I have another baby! I would recommend this table, it is easy to clean, but not easy to store as the legs don't come off once you have put them on, so it's not ideal for traveling, but it's great for young children, and if you can get it for a decent price, it's definitely worth having!
This was one of the first toys I bought for my son when he first started to take notice of toys, which was when he was around 3-4 months old, he is now 20 months old and he still gets this toy out to play with it! I paid around £4 for this toy from Asda, and it has lasted so well for that price.
This toy is a mini piano with a handle on it, which is perfect for little hands to grip. It is black with white spots, with two rings that your baby can play with, my son loves just spinning them and when you shake the piano, these make a rattling noise. My son looks at the rings with such concentration on his face! They are quite small and he just looks so intently at them and spins them for ages.
On the actual piano is a roller that your baby can spin which has balls in, my son doesn't take much notice of this part, and never has done, but it's a nice little extra on the toy.
The piano plays music when you press the keys which is really catchy and fun, there are a few different tunes on it, my son has started dancing to this music now, but I do think the keys are slightly too stiff to press for young children. Sometimes my son struggles to press the keys and gets a bit frustrated because he just wants the music to start playing again! Hes always bringing it to me to do it for him, when usually he loves to do things for himself. The keys also light up when you press them too.
This toy has been great for my son and he does still go to get it out now, not as much as he used to, but he does go back to it, I have never had to change the batteries in it, and it has been used a lot.
It is really easy to keep clean, just wipe with a cloth, and it is really lightweight too for small babies to hold. Although when my son was very young he did tend to hit himself in the head quite a lot with shaking and waving this toy around! It is very hard for small babies, but it feels strong and durable, and I am sure it will last for years. I would definitely recommend this toy for young children, it's been a great toy, and still gets used over a year later!
My little boy who is 20 months old got this ELC car transporter for Christmas off his Grandma. He is a proper little boy and loves his cars and vehicles, so this was a great present for him. My mum paid £20 for this from The Early Learning Centre.
This toy is a lorry car transporter and comes with two little cars, which are my sons favourite part of the toy. They have a magnetic part to the front and back of them so you can stick them together, my son loves how they do this, and is understanding now how to do it himself. He just drives them both around the kitchen for ages, he loves putting them in my empty wine racks too, to 'park' them there, it really does get his imagination going!
He actually rarely puts the little cars inside the car transporter, I have tried showing him they go in there, but I think when he is older he may use this toy as what it actually is! At the minute he plays with the lorry and the two cars separate!
The lorry is a really sturdy well made toy, however the truck part that fits onto the lorry comes off much too easily! Whenever I put it on for him, which just slots on and does makes a noise too, it does fall off very easily. It always ends up in two pieces, it is very rarely hooked on together!
The top part of the lorry you can press to make lorry sounds, but my son finds this slightly too hard to press at his age. It is a large button, but he finds it a bit too stiff to press easily enough, and isn't that impressed either with the noises it makes. This is quite small for a lorry too, but it is nice and compact and looks really cute.
My son doesn't play with the actual lorry very often, but he does go up to it sometimes, and it is a really nice looking toy. It is well made, and strong, and I am sure my son will use it much more when he is older when he understands what it is, but at the moment he just loves the little cars! They are easy for him to hold, and he plays with them for hours!
I bought this for my son for Christmas last year when he was only seven months old, he is now 20 months old and he still regularly goes to this toy to play with it. I got a really good deal on this toy at the time, I found it on offer in Tesco for £14, so bought it straight away! I had it in my Amazon shopping basket for months thinking I will buy it when I have enough vouchers, but it was £32 on there! So I snapped it up in Tesco for £14! It is still selling on Amazon for £32, and I really do think this is well overpriced for this toy.
This is a bright blue dinosaur which sings and plays 8 different tunes. It has a hole for the dinosaurs belly/back which is open and you place the 6 balls it comes with in there. It bounces them up and down and plays music at the same time. It has an on/off switch at the back.
This toy is a very noisy toy! It has two sound settings on the back, and even the low sound setting is too much for me to listen to sometimes! The musical dinosaur starts playing music as soon as it is touched, even ever so slightly, it sets off straight away. The music is fun and catchy and my son always dances to it, he loves it, however I find it quite annoying! I don't find any of my sons other toys annoying, even when I have to listen to them all day, but this one the music is just so repetitive, but the songs are always really happy and bouncy.
This comes with six different coloured balls that you place into the dinosaurs belly, and the belly vibrates and plays music, which makes the balls pop up and down. They don't actually lift very far off the floor of the toy, in the picture they are in the air quite high, and mine have never gone very high. You can start by putting the balls at the tip of the tail of the dinosaur, and then the ball should roll, down the tail, through a flap into the belly, and then through a hole in it's neck and out of it's mouth. My son loves sticking his arm up the dinosaurs mouth to try and get the balls, he loves putting any toy he finds in its mouth!
My son is fascinated by the vibrations the belly makes, he often sits on his knees and puts his face right in, I think he loves it hitting his nose! He will sit with his face in it for ages! He also puts his hand in the middle to try and stop it vibrating, he is just fascinated by it.
The actual balls are quite small, a lot smaller than those you would get in a ball pit for example. They are all bright and fun colours, and really easy for young babies to grip. They are so light, and durable, after over a year these balls look in perfect condition still.
The toy itself I am not sure will be so durable, the flap that separates the belly and the tail my son pulled off within a few days of having it, and whenever I put it back on, he just pulls it straight back off! So we can't use this part anymore, it could do with being fixed tighter!
The bottom of the belly, where you put the balls into, is actually made of fabric, which is absolutely filthy now due to my son putting all sort in the dinosaurs belly to jump about! Food and all sorts have stained the fabric and there is no way of getting it off to wash it. I have tried wiping it with a cloth, but it just looks dirty now.
The actual dinosaur is sturdy and well made though, there are no scratches or dents anywhere, it is in brilliant condition. This toy is quite heavy, although my son at 20 months old can lift it, but not for very long. He does love carrying it about with him, but does struggle with it.
This required 3 C batteries, and I have only had to replace them twice in the year I have had it, they do last a long while.
I don't leave this toy out all the time for my son to play with, just because once it is turned on, the music can start playing at the slightest movement of it. Even if my son runs about near it, it just sets off playing and he hasn't even touched it! I just get it out now and again for him to play with and he is always excited when he sees it!
The dinosaur is finished nicely, there is some nice detail on it, like the little bumps along the tail and then round the back, and the little yellow feet. The face looks fun for children to look at, and overall it is just a brilliant looking toy. It also has a small roller on the front as a nice little extra which my son did play with when he was younger, but doesn't bother so much with now.
Overall, this toy is not worth £32, the price I paid for it is much better, and I think I would have felt slightly ripped off if I had paid full price, although my son does love it, the balls don't pop up like I thought they would. It is a gorgeous toy, bright, bold and very loud and fun, brilliant for boys or girls and I would highly recommend!
We received this as a gift for my son, he absolutely loves bath time, and this is now one of his favourite bath toys! He never really bothered with it when he was younger, but now at 20 months old he loves it, he knows exactly how to play with it, what to press and how to play the music!
This toy is a mother penguin, which sticks to the bathroom tiles by two suckers. I was expecting this to fall off all the time, but surprisingly it does stay on for a long time until my son decides to try and pull it off. It sits nicely just above the edge of the bath and it doesn't even ruin the look of the bathroom, it looks really cute!
This is like my sons little bath time radio,he loves playing the music and dances and splashes about in the bath to it! It plays a few different tunes, which are really catchy, the only problem I have with this, is when you get out the bath, if you forget to turn it off, it can be up to an hour later and it just starts playing the music randomly, when no one is in the room or anywhere near it, it always makes me jump, and actually really scares me! Once it starts going off, it carries on until you go up and turn it off!
The button to turn it on and off is really easy to use, my son can easily do it. The button for the music is really easy too, my son has no problems working it. The mother penguin also comes with 10 little baby penguins, which are all different colours and have a different number from 1 - 10 on them. When you place each penguin individually into the mothers belly it says what number the baby penguin is and also plays music, so it is a great educational toy too, for when they are learning their numbers. The colours are lovely and bright, and when you the press the mother penguins feet the baby penguin flies out of the belly, although they really just fall out, and my son doesn't find this part of the toy at all exciting and doesn't ever bother with this part! It also comes with a net to scoop up all the penguins but this isn't really used by my son, he doesn't show any interest in it. He just loves putting the penguins in the belly then pulling them out again, then putting another colour in and playing the music!
My son loves this toy, he plays with it every night. The music is catchy, and the sound on it is really good, nice and loud, and the toy actually feels very sturdy and well made. This toy is currently selling for £19.99 on Amazon, which I don't think is bad as it does last really well and my son does get a lot of fun from it!
I got this for my son who is 20 months old for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! I paid £15.99 for it in October off Amazon, and I have it in blue although it does come in red too like in the picture.
This rocking horse is really cute and feels very solid. It is made of plastic which makes it so easy to clean and keep in the house or outside, i just put this in the bath and use the shower head on it to clean it after it has been outside.
My son has no problems getting on and off of this rocking horse at 20 months old, he just climbs straight on and has never fallen off it. Although he doesn't quite understand yet to rock forward and back on it by himself, I gently rock it for him and he loves it, he giggles every time. I am not sure if my sons feet are a little uncomfortable when on the sides of the rocking horse as he seems to moan when I put his legs and feet there, he prefers just to have them dangling by the sides but sometimes his feet rub against the floor then when it is rocking. It is quite a low rocking horse, but this is great as they won't hurt themselves if they fall off, as they are not falling from a great height.
This is really lightweight and even my son can push it about everywhere, although it still feels a sturdy well made rocking horse. This will be great for outside in the summer, we have used it outsides a few times already, but mostly we just use it inside, and it doesn't take up much room either as it is quite small.
This rocking horse is for 12 months plus, and i would highly recommend it for the price, it is an excellent present, and my son loves it, and goes on it every day!
I bought this hoover back in April this year. I wanted an upright hoover that would be easy to store and good on wooden floors, carpets but also good at picking up pet hair, as I have a cat!
This Morphy Richards hoover cost me at the time £99, which I thought was a decent price for this hoover. I loved this hoover at first, it worked brilliantly in every room. I had loads of comments though from people who came round to my house if they saw my hoover everyone thought it was the strangest hoover they've seen! It does look a little strange, but I think it looks modern, and I loved the colour, which is a deep purple. I ended up sending this hoover back to Amazon after a few months as I just couldn't get on with it any longer!
The biggest fault I had with this hoover is that it was heavy, even thought advertised as lightweight. I found it hard work doing all of my house in one go as it was so heavy, it made it difficult for me to use for very long. Carrying this up and down the stairs was a nightmare for me too.
This hoover worked fine upstairs on my carpets, you can turn the brushbar on and off depending which type of surface you are hoovering. It glided effortlessly over my carpets and it did pick up a lot, the cylinder always got full very quickly. This was really easy to empty, and slot back on again. The part that holds the cylinder actually comes off the hoover so you can carry it, whilst you are doing your stairs or your car for example. This was really useful when I was doing my stairs, the hose reached all the way up to the top too no problem.
I found the cable on this hoover slightly too long. It hooks on the side on the hoover to store it away, but when you plug it in to use it, you have to hold all the wire in one hand whilst trying to hoover with the other as the wire just gets completely in the way unless you hold it up off the floor. It is better if you have plugged it in and then your going into another room to hoover as it stretches the wire out more and you don't have to hold it all to keep it out of the way.
The hoover has a pivoting head was brilliant when going around tables and chairs and corners, this was the best thing about the hoover! It really made hoovering around objects so much easier. However the reason why I had to return this hoover was that it just never got right up to any edges aswell as loosing suction really quickly. When I had hoovered I had to go all around the edges of everything with the pipe or my hand and wipe up all the bits, as it just didn't pick up properly at the edges at all. After a few months I noticed on my wooden floors and lino, I would hoover, and small bits were still all over the floor, it just seemed like the suction was just not powerful enough. My floors just weren't being cleaned properly and I had to go round myself and wipe up bits left behind that this hoover couldn't pick up. My son always makes a mess on the floor after being in his high chair, and I have to hoover underneath it three times a day, after every meal he makes such a mess! This hoover just stopped picking properly at all on my lino! It just wouldn't pick up all the crumbs etc left on my lino from my sons meal times, and it just seemed a bit of a waste of time using it! I ended up swapping it for a different hoover, it just seemed to lose it's suction quickly unfortunately.
It seemed really powerful at first, and seemed to pick up so much, but after a few months my floors were just getting really dirty, this wasn't working very well at all. It did come with a nice range of attachments and looked really modern, but I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately!
I got this as a free gift on The Body Shop website a few weeks ago. It was a brilliant offer,
I couldn't choose my free gift, this was what they sent me. This usually sells for £10, for a 50ml tub. It is a very small tub, although I can see it lasting a long time, I have been using this for 2 weeks now every day and the pot near enough still looks full!
It comes in a pale pink pot, with a black screw top lid. There is also a plastic lid inside so the cream doesn't get into the black lid. The cream itself is a very pale pink and looks really nice. You only need such a small amount of this cream, it spreads so far. I use this cream on my face in the morning before applying my make up, and it rubs into my skin so easily, it absorbs really well, and does not leave my skin greasy at all. My skin feel refreshed and soft, and my dry skin has definitely got so much better. This cream is a great base for make up, it is so light and dries into your skin so quick so you can apply foundation pretty much straight away.
This cream feels really smooth and nice to rub into my skin, and I would definitely by this cream now after receiving it as a free gift. I do think it is quite expensive at £10 a pot, but it does last a long while, a small amount really does go a long way, so I think it is worth the money. I love the pot, it looks really cute and is a great size for your make up bag or hand bag.
This cream can be used for all skin types, i have sensitive skin that gets very dry and this cream works really well for me, it does not irritate my skin at all, once rubbed in you can't even feel it on your skin, it is so light. I would definitely recommend this vitamin e cream, it is lovely, The Body Shop have a 50% off offer on at the moment, so I will definitely be purchasing another pot for £5! Highly recommended!
