I bought these beats 1 year ago, mainly for use on buses travel etc.
Like with all monster products the earbuds come in exceptional packaging containing all the useful information, as well as a carry case.
The case is a small but sturdy case, pocket sized and perfect for keeping the ear buds in your pocket while out and about. In this case there is also room for the extra ear pieces and clips which are used during workouts when the beats my fall out.
The earbuds themselves have perfect clarity, and with the right ear pice fit in the ear perfectly. Beats have a reputation for an 'overpowering bass' something these earbuds do not have, what they do have are perfectly tuned mids and highs, and the quality is exceptional - something helped by the gold plated cable.
Another great feature added to the later versions is the control talk. This enables you to receive calls, pause music and change the volume. This really handy (I have found this myself) as you don't need to keep getting your phone / iPod out.
1 year on, despite beings bit dirty as they are whiteb my tours are in great condition and still sound fantastic.
Worth the money, with beats you get quality throughout.
Now the 'old' iPhone of apples series the iPhone 4 is a fantastic piece of technology. Since the 4S release the 4 has reduced in price, making it more affordable and a much better option to the 4S. iPhone's are designed to do almost anything, have the Internet on your phone play games etc, so why do you need to ask the phone what the weather is like in London? Can you google it, or use the phones built in app? The 4S is definitely not worth the extra money. Also I would recommend the 32GB over 16GB, equipped with a5 megapixel camera you will want to capture lots of moments - using lots of memory. The 16 GB can be used up easily, when you think of the games, music etc.
The spead of the phone itself is great and it's multitasking capabilities are great too. This phone is much faster than any if it's rivals, even when many apps are open, however, this will reduce battery massively, and this is a problem with this phone.
The entire battery life could be used up in one day and if not and you keep charging it from 30-40 % every night the battery can be damaged and reduced in capacity. I would recommend charging it when it's is under 10% battery, this is better for th battery, also do not overcharge.
The clarity of the screen is also fantastic, reading documents, browsing the we'd or viewing photos, the retina display is a great feature and much appreciated.
Another downfall is the ease of scratching / chipping, I would recommend a case for the phone and possibk a screen protector, however this will reduc the effectiveness of the touch interface.
With these headphones you get what you expect. At the price I payed (£45) they are a fantastic pair of headphones. Fully equiped with a carry case, various cables and 3/4 jack they are definite value for money.
The sound is a good quality, is clear and crisp. You get what you expect really. On 'indie' songs the headphones are good, however on songs with strong bass, well, this is their downfall. These headphones definitely lack bass, this could be good or bad but I personally thing it is the latter. Another problem is the headphone 'band' itself. This appears to be made from not the strongest of materials, and could quite easily snap. You must definitely take care with these headphones.
The accessories that you receive with the headphones are very useful, especially the carry case. A unique, brilliant featur of these headphones is that they fold and the ear cups spin so that the headphones will fit in a carry case to be easily transported.
Also the packaging of the headphones is very nice, as you would expect from AKG? They come in a nice box with useful information on it with a general slick look.
Back to the headphons themselves, with a nice sound, although lacking bass they are great value for money. Bands such as The Kooks sound fabulous, however R & B is not so good. However I would recommend them for taking on holiday etc as if lost then you have not payed lots and also they have a old sound, blocking out background noise reasonably well.
That brings me on to another point, the ear cups are small, sitting on the ear, something I personally did not like and reduced the effectiveness of notice cancelling.
Overall great headphones for the price, but I would not pay the £150 they were when first released. If you have the money buy something else, if you want a cheap pair then here you are, go ahead.
