I don't have one shampoo and conditioner that I consistently use, as I'm always on the look out for new ones to try and bargains. About a month ago I decided to try V05 Nourish me truly and have used it since, this shampoo is part of the unique range, you may have seen the adverts for it, there are a range of different types to choose from depending on your hair type hence the name. I decided to select the one for damaged hair, as I consider my hair to be damaged as i'm constantly colouring and blow drying my hair. I purchased this product from Wilikingsons, whilst it was on offer for £1, it has since been raised in price, so I now purchase it from Home Bargins for a £1. Its a 250mL bottle which has a distinctive shape, its the shape of a soft drink bottle in a lovely shade of pink which actually attracted my attention in the first place.
The shampoo claims to;-
strengthen and repair for visible radiance
restore, soften and improve manageability
Leave hair truly luxurious to the touch
I use this shampoo daily in conjunction with the Nourish me truly conditioner - also for damage hair. I do think my hair feels stronger and softer and is more manageable and less tangly from using this shampoo and conditioner.( I have quite long hair so my hair has a tendency to tangle as I do everyday things). I wouldn't say I have shine to my hair as my hair is coloured I find I only have a shine to my hair when it's my natural colour. As for the smell it smells absolutely lovely and the smell lasts, since using this shampoo my boyfriend is constantly smelling my hair which hasn't been the case with other shampoos I have used. The smell is fruity and fresh.
Conclusively this shampoo is an absolute bargain for just £1 and it does achieve most of what it claims and leaves your hair stronger, softer and more manageable. So yes I would definitely recommend this shampoo along with the conditioner but be warned people may want to constantly smell your hair lol.
I purchased this - Natural Collection - Colour Foundation from Boots, I believe the Natural Collection is exclusive to boots and therefore can not be purchased anywhere else. This is the second time for me to purchase this foundation this therefore plays testimony to the fact that I am very pleased with this product. As this is rare for me to keep to a particular make up item as I am constantly on the look out for new and better products at prices that reflect there performance.
I purchased this foundation for £1.99 - which I consider to be an absolute bargain. The tube is 40ml and is very simple in design. The tube is see through plastic and the cap is of such a good design it allows for easy use and good non messy storage. The foundation description on the product, is brief it simply states that it is a medium cover foundation. Suitable for normal/combination skin. Fragrance Free and dermatological tested.
I have combination skin and it does work well for my skin type, as for fragrant free there is a small fragrance which is neither unpleasant or pleasant if you smell the foundation whilst in the tube but whilst wearing the foundation there is no fragrance.
The foundation itself is rather thick which I consider to be an advantage as I also use it as a concealer as the thickness allows for good coverage. Regardless of it being thick it does blend very well and doesn't cake. I also find that this foundation has good staying power it looks the same as when I'm removing it at night before bed as it does when I first applied it, and It's easily removed with a wet wipe.
Conclusively this foundation is just £1.99 a complete bargain and despite it being a bargain it is a very good foundation for everyday wear. It therefore saves my more expensive foundation for nights out or special events. This is not to say that this foundation is not good enough to wear on nights out or special events as it definitely is, its just I just would prefer to keep more expensive foundation for special events. I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone, it provides good even, coverage that doesn't cake. On a blind test of this product I think people would be very surprised to know the purchase price is just £1.99.
I absolutely love make up and I'm constantly buying something or other even when I already have more then plenty In my make up bag. I have been using this foundation for a few months now along with another foundation. I bought this product from my Avon Rep (as its exclusive to Avon) for £10 pounds for a 30 ml bottle, I believe I bought as part of an offer - spend this amount on certain pages and get a discount on the foundation. I believe the full price is £15 for this product. I have spend a lot of money on products from Avon and there products in my opinion especially there foundations are very hit and miss (but more miss no consistency), I have bought 10 foundation at least from Avon and this foundation is the one that has pleased me the most. I found the others mostly rather rubbish to be honest so I have become a nervous buyer from Avon in regards to foundations, I now mostly buy eye make up from there and blushers.
This foundation calms to disguise imperfections, smooth fine lines and evens skin tone (which is stated in the Avon catalog not on the bottle). While I'm not sure it actually meets all these clams as I haven't really seen any change in my skin tone or fine lines I do like the product. The product makes my skin rather luminousness and my skin looks a little more healthy from having it on. I find blending this product takes a bit more work then some foundation but worth it when done. Also it has a pump action which makes it easy to get the required amount of foundation and therefore stops the drying you can get around the nozzle of some foundation, so a less messy way of storing foundation
The annoying thing about this product is the bottle only has a brief English description of the product which basically states that it's foundation and is SPF 15. Most face products from other places come with some kind of description on how best to use the product or what the product achieves but you basically get nothing with this, no information at all. The bottle doesn't even of state what the foundation calms to do just like all the other Avon products I have bought. I cant really remember if this foundation came in a box with a bit more information but if that was the case it has been discarded, so the information would be more suited to be place on the bottle, if that was the case.
Conclusively a good foundation which is lasting well and I just may replace once its finished. With me it's a price issue even though it's not very expensive having paid £10 for it, I just feel £10 is a suited price for this product not £15 as I feel its a bit expensive at this price. I think I could find a better foundation than this for that price of £15. But on the other hand It looks lovely on, even though it takes a bit more effort to blend into the skin properly and it contains sun protection and I'm always a fan of foundations that have sun protection.
I bought Bio-oil about a year ago I paid about £6.99 for a 60ml bottle which I found to be rather expensive, but I had heard so much hype over this product I considered it worth it. As the saying goes you get what you pay for so I hoped this would be the case this product although at heart I'm a bargain hunter.
The product came in a white box with orange writing and If I remember rightly there was a leaflet inside the box, unfortunately both have been discarded, I must stop throwing everything out as it would have come in handy with this review writing. Anyways the bottle itself is see throw so you know exactly how much you left and has a white screw top.On the bottle they calm to to be specialist in skincare and that the bio-oil helps with the following;
uneven skin tone
The reason I purchased this product was to get rid or to improve the appearance of my stretch marks, which bothered me at the time but not now, I used it daily for a period of nine months and it had no effect on my stretch marks what so ever, they look and feel the same. I do however love the smell and find it really does hydrated the skin and increase softness in the area applied. I basically found this to be a very expensive moisturiser. Applying is easy it guilds on and has lovely consistency as its an oil it never completely absorbs away and you can feel the oiliness on your skin hours later. This is why I wouldn't advise to use on the face in the day but rather before going to bed at night to avoid a greasy face look.
In conclusion I wouldn't buy this product again as it didn't forfill the purpose I bought it for which was to help with the appearance of my stretch marks there has been no change. I also feel that I gave this product enough time to work its magic, but nothing. As I didn't buy this product to help with scars, aging skin or uneven skin tone I cant say how effective it is in this manner. But as stretch marks go this product is not for me and after nine months of applying this product religiously and being out of pocket by £6.99 Ive decided just to accept my stretch marks there part of me any always will be so I shan't waste any more money trying to change them.
I'm not certain when I first started using Vaseline sheer infusion but I'm currently on my fourth bottle. What attracted me to this product is the fact it's part of the Vaseline range and I have always been a fan of products produced by Vaseline. In simple terms I have never being disappointed by any of there lip care or body lotions. Also the price I bought a 200ml bottle of Vaseline sheer infusion for £1.29 from home bargains. I haven't seen this product elsewhere on my shopping travels but after a little research I found this product on sale for £1.99 on Amazon so this suggests I have had a bit of a bargain at £1.29.There are 3 types under the Vaseline sheer infusion range these include; Vitamin Burst, Botanical Blend, Mineral Renewal. I selected the Vitamin Burst, mainly because the word vitamins suggested this would be good for my skin. The type of vitamins it contains is B5 and E. It states on the bottle that these vitamins are known to boost skin. I was unaware of theses vitamins being good for the skin but a big skin care company like Vaseline I'm inclined to trust them as they known there stuff.
As for packaging, It comes in a rather thick blue bottle not that attractive or eye catching but a brand like Vaseline its reputation speaks for itself so I believe this product will sell regardless of its slightly boring packaging.
The packaging states the moisturiser contains Stratys 3 for superior moisture and a unique silky feel. It also states that some moisturisers only act on the top layers of your surface skin leaving the skin greasy, whilst others sink through quickly and your skin doesn't feel throughly moisturised. Vaseline Sheer infusion is designed to work differently for superior moisture and a unique silky feel. It also states to use daily as necessary.
As its designed for I use the this product daily, as I use fake tan frequently this tends to dry my skin out but to apply fake tan evenly its important to have throughly moisturised skin. So I would say I have challenging skin. This product however even after the first use, just like its claims left my skin silky smooth. This silky smoothness also last all day and applying my fake tan is made easier and tends to last longer as a result. The product itself is rather thick but dries rather quickly however I find myself using a lot of it each time, the bottle itself last me between 2-3 weeks I'm not sure if this is me needing to use more due to my dry skin or this is the case with most users.I also find coming to the end of the bottle even though there is quite a bit left in there getting the last part out is difficult and involves a lot of banging against my palm. I have found this with all four bottles I have bought, which I find strange as the way this must be stored the lid is always face down so I would think all the remaining product would stay by the nozzle so would be easy to get out. The smell is rather nice, it smells fresh and kinda fruity but doesn't linger on the skin all day.
Conclusively I'm on my fourth bottle so I'm definitely pleased with this product, Just wish it lasted me a little longer and coming to the end of the bottle that it was easier to get out. However this product is a real bargain for £1.29 as it leaves me feeling silky smooth what else does a girl with dry skin want.
I purchased Maybelline Intense mascara from ebay for £3.95 with free postage, I would say this is a really good price for this mascara (or for any brand of mascara for that matter) as I have seen it elsewhere at about £8.00 - if my memory serves me well. At the price of £3.95 I wouldn't be heart broken if it wasn't excellent.
This mascara is a bit different to your normal one, it has two ends with two brushes, one has a white subsentence microfibre I believe, which provides volume and length, then the the other brush provides the colour (extreme black in my case). And it does exactly that it provides a good length and volume. I would say it almost provides the effect of a false lashes, in my case. I was also found of the colour provided - extreme black in colour and in name.
This mascara also claims to be waterproof and it certainly lives up to this claim, a wet wipe will not remove this mascara which I use to remove my make up daily and neither would excessive rubbing with water. So it definitely lives up to its claim of being water proof with real staying power. So for this reason I will be investing in a good cream to remove eye make up.
Whilst this mascara doesn't smudge it does have a tendency to clump so i would try not to apply too much or rub your eyes whilst on.
Conclusively for £3.95 I couldn't go wrong with this mascara whilst it takes a bit longer to apply than other one brush mascara and longer to remove it certainly does improve length and volume.
I bought this product to cover dark circles under the eyes as well as to hide imperfections such as redness. Ultimately I wanted to help even out my skin tone. It hid my dark circles rather well but didn't help with the other skin problems I have. Which was a little disappointing as I have read so many great reviews on this product, in fact it had been described as an industrial strength concealer, which was the reason i bought it. Maybe i had too high expectations for this product but either was I was left disappointed.
However this product does blend extremely well, looks natural and does not cake like so many other concealers do, which is always a bonus. I also liked the way the product was presented, stick concealers are far more messy and are always breaking with me, or I'm losing the top and all sorts of bits attached themselves to it, so they end up in the bin. So i would say this is a much cleaner way to store concealer.
Conclusively this is an average make up product which is rather pricey my cheaper products perform just as well so properly I will not be buying again although I love the way its stored and would recommend to people that have better skin than I and don't need so much coverage.
I have tried many a times to give up smoking and have tried many different aids; seen a health promoter, used patches, used various types of gum and it's Nicrorette Freshmint Gum which seems to have helped me. I stopped smoking about four years ago and I have relapsed a few times during this time, but the last time I smoked must have been about 2 and half years ago. I do believe I would still be a regular smoking now if I had not found this form of nicotine replacement.
They taste good in my view and certainly rid you of the need or urges to smoke, as it provides you with the amount of nicotine you require. I have had no nasty side effects from using Nicorette Freshmint Gum and have been on and off them for about 4 years, but the information leaflets states there can be many side effects from using the gum (please read carefully before taking). The cheapest I have bought them for is £8.99 (for 108 pieces) but price does certainly vary according to were I purchase them from I have paid £14.99 (for 108 pieces) for them on occasions. I get through about 2 boxes a week which proves to be little expensive.
My only problem now is that I'm completely addicted to Nicorette Gum and haven't managed in 4 years to reduced my take or get of them but I guess it's better than smoking in my view.
Conclusively this product does what it says and is a great nicotine replacement, but is just as addictive but far more convenient than smoking and is rather pricey. Just be wiser than I and know when to reduce and eventually stop using them.
Having used St Moriz in the Mousse form and being very pleased with the product (please see my review of the mousse), I decided to give the ST Moriz spray/mist a ago. I have used many self tanning products and sprays tend to be better for those harder to reach places. Whilst the mousse is great there is one area of my back that I just can't reach, my arms just aren't long or bendy enough to, so I thought this would be ideal.
This product cost the same as the Mousse £2.99 from home bargains but whilst you get 200ml of ST Moriz Mousse, you get 150ml of ST Moriz Self Tanning Mist. I Selected Natural to Medium as I'm very fair and the product claims to be a super fine spray and streak free, I felt this sounded great I thought I was buying another great product by St Moriz and Couldn't wait to try it, how wrong could I be.
Before applying this product I give the can a bit of shake, I always do this before using most products of this kind and it's also often recommended. As I proceeded to shake the can bits of the self tanner started to leak out from underneath the nozzle and which caught my surroundings, which I wasn't pleased about. So at this point I thought to read the directions which I normally do before hand but didn't on this occasion as i didn't think I needed to as I have used so many self tanner and application directions are almost always the same. The directions say nothing about shaking the can before use, so this may have been my error and maybe I should have left the top on to shake but the directions state that the mist can be used upside down, which I would say is just as bad, but I I didn't attempt placing the can upside down after this leakage. Anyways I started to spray the mist onto my body and as soon as the product had contact with my body it began to run, alot. The spray/mist during the application continued to leak from underneath the spray nozzle and ran all down the can and onto my hands. As this was mist spray I didn't think to put on gloves at this stage I intended on putting them on after I finished spraying to rub in any residue. This was a big mistake anyone who uses fake tanners knows how horrid palms look with fake tan, they always go orange and take for ever to fade away and thats exactly what I got - Orange palms not a good look. This was truly a horrible self tanning experience I didn't feel like I could stop mid application so I continued in my horror not be be left half tanned and half pale. As this product was just very wet and runny Iit was much harder to blend than the mousse the application process was long and it took longer than the mousse to dry.
As for the colour just like the mousse it was instant so I could see were I had or hadn't applied, which is always good and the actual colour was basically the same as the mouse good not excellent. It also smelt the same as the mousse and like the mouse it was streak free.
Conclusively whilst this product is similar to the mousse - same price, same colour, same smell, streak free the application of the mist is far more difficult, messy and not user friendly. If your thinking to try this product protect your surroundings, very messy and always use gloves from first contact with can. Whilst I would definitely recommend the mousse I would definitely not recommend St Moriz Mist not because of the result the result was fine just as good as the mousse but purely because the application processes, St Moriz need to work on the nozzle. This was the worse experience I have had with a self tanner.
I used to purchase and use st tropez self tanner till I discovered this product, in my view these products are very similar, similar colour, similar ingredients, similar texture, with exception of the price st tropez is far more expensive even for a smaller bottle.
I pay £2.99 for a 200ml bottle and used to apply every other day on my body to maintain colour and every day on my face as it seems to fade very quickly from my face as I cleanse daily, which takes the self tanner straight off my face. This product also comes in mist/spray form and a dark shade. I also own the spary/mist version but I'm not as impressed with this product but I shall review this at a later date.
The colour is instant which Ilove as you can see exactly were the product has been applied which makes applying fake tan far easier. It absorbs very quickly and I have never had any streaks with this product. There is the fake tan smell about it but in my view not nearly as bad as some of the others I have used.
Conclusively this self tanner is definitely value for money, it's easy to apply and last well, the colour is good, not excellent a tiny bit too dark for my face but I am extremely fair, but i would definitely recommend this product.
I have been using SchwarzKoft Live colour XXL at the price of £3.99 since January I have tried many of there colours to mention a few, 35 Real Red, Hyponotic Red, 46 Cyber Purple and I love them all.
This product is easy to apply, the box contains Developer Lotion, Colour Creme, application gloves and conditioner. When coloring make sure your wearing old clothes as this is a messy process and clothes will get stained, simply place on the gloves, remove nozzle from the Developer Lotion Bottle, pierce the LIVE Colour Creme tube with the reverse of the cap, squeeze the content into the Developer Bottle, shake well, till the Colour Creme and Developer Lotion are completely mixed then your ready to apply. It takes 30 minutes for the colour to develop, then your ready to rinse off. The instructions states to rinse throughly until water runs clear, believe me this takes time. Once you have rinsed off your hair your ready apply the conditioner provided for 2 minutes which smells lovely, then your done.
These colours are vibrant and beautiful and I alternate between them, the only thing with these colours is bleeding, the colour bleeds whilst I'm washing my hair for up to a week after the colouring treatment. I spoke to my hairdresser about this who also colours her hair red and she stated this is normal when coloring your hair red/purple. Due to the bleeding the colour does fade quickly so to maintain the colour, I colour my hair approx twice a month may sound alot but red is a hard colour to maintain.
Conclusively these colours are great with a nice smell to them and I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes to be a bit funky.
I bought this product; Benefit High Beam from ebay for 7 pounds, a 13 ml bottle. I had read excellent reviews for this product so was so excited to try. I have seen it on sale for £18.50 so i thought this was a real bargain. However my excitement ended there, since I received this product I have experimented with it in many different ways but just cant get this product to work for me. On the bottle it states how to use, dot and blend over make up, so after applying my self tanner which I do every morning I then applied my foundation and then Benefit High Beam it looks lovely, bright and shimmery but as I proceeded to blend it in, it completely messed up my foundation as the product is so wet. I then find myself reapplying my foundation over the High Beam and the shimmer is completely lost. I also tired putting the High Beam on then my foundation and it's pointless the shimmer and glow doesn't show through foundation at all even after smothering it all over my face. So i would stay this product is for people that do not wear foundation, I find it only looks good when i use the high beam with just powder over it, ,but I suffer from viltilgo and really couldn't go with out foundation. So this product is definitely not for me. I have used many other light illuminating products that are much better and so I will be sticking to what I know works well for me so I wont be buying this product again.
Also I'm not keen on the bottle itself it's presented like a nail vanish and is the same consistency as nail vanish. I would prefer if this was presented more as a foundation and not so wet as it is not users friendly.
Conclusively looks a lovely colour but doesn't work with foundation, it's better suited to people that wear a small amount of skin make up, its far too expensive for what it is and the bottle is running down fast with all my experimenting. I certainly wont be buying again I'm just glad i bought it for 7 pounds and not 18.50 or I would be feeling robbed right now.
I absolutely love experimenting with make up, and I always like to buy and try new products, therefore I was extremely excited to try a new mousse foundation which I was expecting to be light and natural looking. However, this was not the case, I wasn't impressed by this product, the price is good but i found it extremely difficult to blend and it dried my skin out. I have purchased many other products produced by maybelline which i have been rather satisfied with. This product was however very disappointing I have used it once and shall never use it again. This foundation was definitely not a dream foundation but more like a nightmare foundation. I definitely would not purchase another mousse product produced by maybelline I intend on sticking to their and other companies liquid foundations. Conclusively I wouldn't recommend this product i believe foundations work best in liquid form. As there was nothing that I actually liked about this product.
I have used many vaseline products over the years such as their deodorant and body moisturizers (Coco butter being my favorite, it smells beautiful) and in my opinion their products are great, offering better quality and value for money than many of their competitors. As i suffer from dry lips all year round its essential that i use some type of product and this product has certainly help improved the condition of my lips leaving them perfect to kiss lol more so than any other product i have ever used. I keep a tin in my bag, car, and on my desk at work and apply several times throughout the day. I have even managed to persuade my boyfriend to start using this product. to ensure that he has lovely soft lips. Therefore from my point of view this is essential lip wear, every women and man should have a tin of this. I have tired many similar products in the past but this by far is the best buy in my opinion. A tin also lasts for months which is surprising considering the amount of times a day i apply it. Another thing i love about this product is when you do actually run out they are sold almost everywhere, examples of places i been able this to purchase this product from includes pharmacies, tescos, asda, boots even most corner shops. Which is absolutely great. Its also reasonable priced.
So conclusively I'm one extremely satisfied customer with beautifully soft moisturized lips (most of the time) thanks to vaseline. What more could a girl ask for lol. This product definitely serves its purpose.
