Fish Fingers are just something I always have in the house just for snacks or emergency dinners. I buy them because they are simple and easy to cook and the basics from Sainsburys are very cheap so I can't really go wrong. Plus it helps me save a bit of money.
MSC Certified Alaska Pollock (58%); SignatureTM Breadcrumb (33%); Sunflower Oil.SignatureTM Breadcrumb contains: Country GroundTM Wheat Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast, Turmeric, Colour: Capsanthin.
These fish fingers are very fast to cook taking just 10-12 minutes. You can tell they are done when they are a golden orange colour. They don't have a strong smell so you have to remember that they are in the oven. Whereas other fish fingers I have had the smell reminds me that they are in the oven and I get a bit hungry from it.
Taste & Quality
Sainsburys Basics fish fingers are just like they are labelled very basic fish fingers. The fish fingers are coated in bread crumbs but almost comes unnoticeable when cooked. The fish fingers don't taste very crispy when you eat them as the coating is quite thin. I find that the fish fingers themselves lack taste and are very plain. Most times I find myself dipping them in sauce and I'm not really to keen on sauce. I noticed with these fish fingers that when they come straight out the oven and eat them they are soft but wait half an hour plus to eat them then the coating gets a bit crunchy like they have been burnt and the fish fingers to me are less desirable to eat as I like them soft. I usually eat mine in a sandwich or with beans and chips. I do prefer eating them with beans and chips because that fills me up more.
The quality of the fish fingers are a little inconsistent because sometimes when I cook them and need to turn the over in the tray they just fall apart because they are that soft but then other times I don't have this problem. The fish fingers inside have quite a lot of dark bit of fish and the fish is an off grey colour rather than white. This is a little bit of a put of when eating. The quality of the fish inside looks a lot poorer than more expensive brands such as birds eye and youngs.
The fish fingers are very thin and barely even touch the surface when I eat them so I find myself having at least 5 when I do have them because they are not filling.
Having said all this I don't think the fish fingers are terrible because after all they cost just 60p for 10 and you can't expect 5 star quality for that price. I eat them but I am not really sure if I would recommend them after all I only eat these to save money.
The fish fingers are OK but nothing special. They are good if you are on a budget but if not then I wouldn't waste you time on these. The packaging in the regular orange and white cardboard box like all the other basics products. I think the main thing that is appealing about these fish fingers are the price and since they are only 60p you can't really ask for better than these.
British films are very few and even fewer to find ones that are actually good in my opinion. I never really watch that many British films but when I do it's usually only stuff that I get good recommendations from.
I'm not really that much of a huge fan of dance movies but when I saw this I was actually surprised that it was actually a decent watch. The movie follows a story of a group of dancers that fall at some trouble when their leader leaves and things start going wrong for them. The team fix up and try and win a competition. The story in the film is quite typical for a dance film and a bit predictable but it was the quality of the film which made me add this to the list at 5. I think the dancing and the shooting style of the film is right up there with the likes of the Step Up franchise. the movie made 11 million in box office takings and considering it has only had a UK release that is very good.
4. Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
I had to debate weather to put this on since it's a British story, set in Britain and most importantly a British cast (minus Johnny Depp) BUT it was directed by Tim Burton so who is american. I think since the British elements outweigh the american it's safe to say this is a British film.
I put this on the list because I was blown away by this film because of how good it was. The time period has been captured very well in this movie and I think the props, locations and costumes have been chosen very carefully. The acting is brilliant and has the likes of Helen Bonham- Carter who I am a fan of which was a bonus.
3. This Is England
This Is England made the list because it is just typical England. The way they talk, present themselves and things they get up to is just like England for the most part. I think most British movies always water down the perception of a British people like speaking the queens English and being posh. It annoys me sometimes because not everyone in England is like that it's just a stereotype. I think with This Is England it's just raw Britain which is good to show for once. The storyline is a little weak but it is made up for by all the laughs watching the movie gives.
2. St Trinians
I think St Trinians just had to go on this list with no exceptions. I think this movie has good acting, is funny and the plot is good and entertaining also. When this came out in the cinema I went to watch it twice and for me that is very unusual for a British film because I very rarely watch British films in the cinema. I liked it because it is about school girl misfits and it has all the different clicks that you have in school in it but they still work together even though there are some conflicts between the clicks. It's different because in american movies clicks never get together to do anything.
1. Harry Potter Franchise
I think harry Potter had to be number 1 because it is probably one of the most successful movies and shows that us Brits can make a good film. It was shot in England and has a British cast AND crew which shows that not just american are talented acting and behind the scenes. Harry Potter is the best Wizard movie and has a brilliant plot that can get complicated but it is always consistent which is good to stretch over 8 films. Harry Potter shows that although British films are very few when they are done properly they can be great. This is the same for other successful movies such as James Bond and Johnny English that have gone global.
As my town recently had some sun the drinks in my house where disappearing rapidly since there is a few of us living here. On the next shop I made it my point to get a couple of cheap bottles of pop in just so that when all the favourite pop in my house is done there is something to drink rather than tap water. When in Tesco I saw this Cloudy Lemonade for just 65p so I brought 2x 2litre bottles. I thought at that price it was a bargain and even if they didn't taste good it was worth a try.
The drink is a yellow colour and having never drank this before I thought it would be regular lemonade but called Cloudy because of it's colour but I was wrong. The Cloudy Lemonade is very fizzy and has a very refreshing taste. It tastes almost like freshly squeezed lemons which I find is why it is so refreshing. The drink has a huge amount of flavour which was surprising because of it's cheap price. I thought it would have been watered down but it actually was full of taste. Despite the drinks fizziness the drink still goes down well and rather than feeling like you have just swallowed loads of acid like some other fizzy drinks like coke. This feels smooth when swallowing almost like you are drinking squash or something but it still obvious how fizzy the drink is. For these best taste for me I like when it is ice cold. This is a good drink for the summer time to keep cool.
Ingredients & Storage Guideline
Carbonated Water,Sugar ,Comminuted Lemon From Concentrate (4%) ,Fruit Juices From Concentrate (2%) (Lemon Juice from Concentrate, Orange Juice from Concentrate) ,Malic Acid ,Flavouring ,Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sulphur Dioxide)
Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
The drink contains no artificial colours which is probably why it tastes as natural as it does.
I usually store all my bottled pops in a cupboard in the kitchen so that is where I stored the Cloudy Lemonade. I usually put drinks in the fridge after one bottle has finished. As for the consume within 3 day I think they say this because within this time it tastes the best. After that it gets a little flat and don't taste half as good. In my house it gets finished is 2 days tops because everyone loves it.
The packaging is the Tesco home brand style packaging which doesn't really do much for the promotion of the drink. It just makes it look cheap and like it probably won't taste good but that is not the case at all. I do think they could use a nice design just to make the drink look more appealing.
Overall the drink is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone especially at it's cheep and cheerful price.
Hannah Montana Forever is the final season of Hannah Montana and this soundtrack contains all the music from the series. It touched a nerve when listening to this Album because I have been watching the show from day 1 and even though I kind of drifted off in the middle as I got older I still had some good times watching the show. I always like the show but I was never keen on the music but with this album I did actually enjoy it.
1. "Gonna Get This" (featuring Iyaz)
2. "Que Sera"
3. "Ordinary Girl"
4. "Kiss It Goodbye"
5. "I'll Always Remember You"
6. "Need a Little Love" (featuring Sheryl Crow)
7. "Are You Ready"
8. "Love That Lets Go" (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus)
9. "I'm Still Good"
10. "Been Here All Along"
11. "Barefoot Cinderella"
Since I kept up with season 4 I knew all the song before I even got the album so knew exactly what to expect. With this I think it's all about her growing up and looking to the future and this is evident in the lyrics spoken in some of the songs on the album. Although it shows she is growing up she still has songs of that old Hannah Montana feel.
The songs that I felt where more mature and showed that she was growing up were Ordinary Girl, Love That let's Go and Been Here All Along all songs of which are about deeper things that the average Hannah Montana song. These all being ballads and talking about different situations in life. In the case of ordinary girl speaking of herself saying she may be a celebrity but she wants to have a normal life and does normal things that regular people do. In the case of Love that lets go the song is about even though you will really miss something it's healthier to move on a let go and remember the good times. This song refers to her horse blue jeans in the show and her real horse that eventually couldn't stand up anymore. Been here all along is a tribute song to all those families that are split because someone is away weather it be in the army or other reasons. It speaks about about always being there even if it's not physically.
These songs show that Miley /Hannah Montana has moved a long way since the first series and with the song I'll Always remember you she clearly shows that the show is over just by the passion in the way she sings the song. Vocally all these songs are sung to perfection from Miley. I do think they are kind of sad songs and you can tell that Miley almost seems to old for the Hannah Montana now. These songs also have a way of making you think about things.
This album definitely shows the begin of the end for Hannah Montana but is sure didn't get rid of Hannah completely. Various songs on the Album are the old hip, pop style typical Hannah Montana songs. The songs such as Que Sera, Kiss It Goodbye, Are You Ready, I'm Still Good and Barefoot Cinderella. So you could say more than half the album gives Hannah Montana fans some more songs to dance too and sing along. I thought this was good because I know it's the last album but it doesn't all need to be about saying goodbye.
Gonna Get This featuring Iyaz is probably my favourite song off the album just because it is so different from all the usual Hannah Montana songs. The song is a bit of a cheesy pop song but is has a nice beat and the iyaz touch makes it seems like a bit of a more grown up song.
Overall I think the album is a good album. I would say that the album is certainly not as up beat as the previous Hannah Montana albums and it is evident that Miley did try to change a portray a more mature Hannah Montana. I think it worked well and the album is a good listen. I think that you can certainly tell this was the end because of how many sort or goodbye style songs the album featured. The album is available for 7.99 on iTunes which I think is a little pricey for this. On Amazon A CD copy is available from 2.98 which is a better price.
When I heard Pixie was making a new album I was quite excited because I loved her first album and liked her style of music. The first track to be released was All About Tonight which I though was a very catchy song and I just couldn't wait for more. After listening to the whole album I wouldn't say I was disappointed but I really did hope for more. The title of the album Young, Foolish, Happy represent Pixie alot and the album cover is very nice also but the deluxe version of the album shows appeal more that the original album which is her face similar to her first album.
===Track Listing ===
1. "Come Get It Now"
2. "All About Tonight"
3. "What Do You Take Me For?" (featuring Pusha T)
4. "Nobody Does It Better"
5. "Kiss the Stars"
6. "Stevie on the Radio
7. "Everybody Hurts Sometimes"

===My Thoughts On Album ===
Young, Foolish, Happy for me was an OK album but it wasn't really all that compared to her first album. The first 5 tracks on the album for me where really great and are what stand out on her album but beyond that I wasn't really feeling it to the extent I did the first few tracks.
On this album I liked that she explored different roots in music. The song What Do You Take Me For featuring Pusha T had a hip hop feel to it with a little rap from Pusha T himself. I think this showed that she isn't all pop and can do other types of music and do it well. This song shows her feisty side talking about no being taken for a ride by a man. Since she is usually talking about break ups and being madly in love this song was a complete step out of the norm for her which I thought was brilliant. I think this also turned out to be my favourite song on the album.
Another song that I fell in love with on the album was the song Nobody Does It Better. I liked this song because it was also a little different and showed her confident side as you can tell from the title. I think the style of this song was a little different from I expect from her because it also had a different feel and wasn't too pop like most of her music.
The one song that stood out as typical Pixie and exactly what Pixie is all about is All About Tonight. I think this song is fun, catchy and everything Pixie which is why I was so glad that this was the first release from the album. I think that this song shows although she is trying new and different things she still is giving her fans some original Pixie. The song talks about going out to forget about a guy and that is usually the sort of thing Pixie talks about in her songs. This song was a number 1 hit so it says it all on what works for Pixie as an artist.
=== Negatives ===
The songs that really stood out for me as songs I just didn't like is number one the Bright Lights part 2 featuring Tinchy Stryder. Though the song had positive messages from what I grasped talking about loving the lights of London but not being taken in by the negatives of the city it just didn't excite me. It was a likeable song but I just found it more annoying than anything.
The rest of the songs on the album minus the first 5 tracks just got blown over for me. I think that they where boring for the most part and quite similar so it was a bit like listening to the same sort of thing over and over (or similar).
=== Overall ===
I think the overall album is OK and compared to her first album has a bit more variety on it. I do think that she could have brought more to this album and it just all seemed to mediocre for me. Minus the couple of tracks i enjoyed the album really is only for hardcore Pixie fans. She stretches out of her comfort zone which deserves a thumbs up and even better that her moving out her comfort zone worked well. The album is available on Amazon 3.99 for CD and 5.99 for digital MP3 download. Is it worth it well for Pixie fans yes but for everyone else just take a looks at the first couple of singles that are worth it.
Decent album but nothing special.
To Catch A Killer is the story of John Wayne Gacy a serial killer that notably killed between 33-34 teenage boys in the 70s. Gacy was convicted of Murder,Sexual assault, Indecent liberties with a child and sentenced to death by Lethal Injection. Gacy was killed by Lethal Injection in 1994 but this movie was released in 1992 so not of that was actually shown in the movie since it was before he died.
The plot follows the disappearance of a teenager Christopher. Christopher was last seen at a station collecting photos with his mother on her birthday. He said he was going out to talk to a construction worker about a job and never came back. Detectives quickly label Gacy as a suspect and try their hardest to find some evidence to convict him. The movie follows all the details of this particular segment of the Gacy killings in which the detectives start to reveal Christopher may not be the only victim. The movie is set on a time span of about just under two weeks. In these two weeks the detectives on multiple times fail to get the evidence they need. Two detectives are sent to watch Gacy day to day and this is what drives Gacy a little mad and he threatens to sue them for harassment. The detectives had to speed up there tactics of catching him because if he did sue they would have to drop all accusations and let him be free. From this point the movie because a race against time to get the evidence they need.
This movie was an interesting watch but I do thing that it could have been a little bit more entertaining. I think the movie was interesting because it followed a very similar story to the real Gacy case and stayed close to what really happened which was good. Why I think that the movie could have been more entertaining is because the movie featured non of the actual killing and was mainly just the investigation. Gacy was killing for a number of years and this movie just shows two weeks so it would have
been nice to included the journey of how Gacy because this notorious killer. As the movie was solely an investigation it got a little boring at times especially as there where moments it seemed like this man would never get caught at all. I think although this is a true story it could have been dramatised a little more to make it a better film to watch.By dramatised I mean they could have shown a darker side to Gacy like him getting mad or even show some of his murders or maybe include his marriage or something more.
The acting in this film was OK but was nothing really outstanding. I think considering this film was about John Gacy his character kept coming of screen for long periods of time. I think the movie should have been more about him and see less of the detectives. One scene that stood out was the scene when Gacy felt the hand of a teen it was a little creepy and sent chills down me as it looked quite realistic.
The film is 3 hours in length which I felt was pretty long since not much really happened throughout the movie. I personally think that this movie could have been done in an hour and a half-40 mins and be a better watch. The extra hour made the movie seem as though it was dragging.
I think overall this movie is good because it tells the case of John Gacy near enough to how it happened. It could have been a little more entertaining but it still is worth a watch if you are into this sort of thing. Although this was a good insight to the Gacy case I think another movie which show from start to finish would be much better. I'm not really sure if I would recommend this movie maybe as something to pass time then yes. The movie has high ratings on IMDB but for me there was just something about it that didn't really keep me excited.
I heard a lot about this movie leading up to it's realese. In fact when it was being made I was hearing a lot of talk about it being edgy and a little controversial so from then it was a movie i was looking forward to seeing. The movie features a very unlikely cast Spiderman James Franco, Disney stars Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudges, Rapper Gucci Mane, Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson and the directors Wife Racheal Korine. The cast I though was a little mix and match and wandered how it would work especially this type of movie.
The movie is about 4 girls brit, cotty, candy and faith that are desperately eager to go on spring break and get away from their town and have a fresh break. The girls have not saved up enough money so they rob a chicken shop to get the money to attend this years spring break in Florida.
Once they get to spring break they party and have fun and even start to dream about what it would be like if they never went back to there home town. It is on their wild party adventures that the girls get arrested and end up stuck in jail because they don't have enough money to bail themselves out.
The girls are released when Alien a gangster rapper pays to bail them out and takes them under his wing. Alien takes these girls to some dark places of drugs, money, crime and robbery. It's here when you start to see that these girls may not all be as bad as each other when they one by one start to go home when the crime life becomes to much for them.
I thought this movie was brilliant and pushed so many boundaries which made it even better. Yes the plot was very weak but this movie explored things that not many other movies have done before. One thing that I like was the fact that the cast was a complete mash up and had a little bit of everything to bring something completely different to the market. I loved that these 4 main characters had young fan base backgrounds and had never did anything like this before which made the movie more entertaining and shocking rather than having the usual suspects play these roles.
Faith played by Selena Gomez was the least enjoyable role for me. I think that considering Selena Gomez has been promoting the movie heavily I thought she would have been the biggest rebel of the movie. In fact she plays a character that goes to church and is the good girl of the group. She stepped out of her comfort zone a little but the way the talk of the movie was going I thought I would have seen a lot more from her.
Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Benson play the characters Brit and Candy and I think they were absolutely superb in this movie. Of the 4 girls these two where the most crazy and a little psychopathic. In general their performances were very good and they pulled off being gangster chicks and broke away from their good girls public images the most.
The only person I would say could have acted a little better was Gucci Mane. I felt that half the time he showed very little emotion and his acting was pretty flat.
The little plot that was evident is the rivalry between Alien and a childhood friend Big Arch. This I thought was not very original because in gangster movies like these it is almost always someone taking something of someone else's what causes the drama in the movie. In this case it was Alien taking over Big Archs turf and making all the money.
What made the movie for me was the editing style. The moving is all dream like and surreal which I always like in a movie. The movie contains a number of voice overs which isn't always clear at first but by the end of the movie it all sort of makes sense. This is also the case with the way the footage was edited. There was a moment when a bloody finger appeared on a piano in the scene where Alien takes brit and candy to his room and shows them his gun collection and starts waving them around. I initially thought someone would get shot at that point but that actually scene was further in the movie. I really liked that sort of thing throughout the movie it was good and kept me guessing.
This movie has a lot of nudity, sex and a ridiculous amount of swearing in this movie. The nudity and sex was necessary since spring break is all about sex, drugs, alcohol and letting loose for most who go to spring break. In fact most of the party scenes were actually shot in the middle of an actual spring break so it is no lies and exactly what you would expect. I think for most parents who watched this they would probably never want their kids to go on spring break again since those scenes were real life. I do they have glamorised the whole negative side to spring break because I doubt everyone spends there spring break in the way that is seen in the movie. Also I think that just violence and crime in general has been glamorised here in this movie because usually there is some sort of consequence in movies like this even if just a small one and in this the girls are winners all the way.
A negative about this movie is that this is suppose to be a drama about gangsters and crime but yet Britney Spears songs are sung on more than one occasion by the cast. I think that was completely out of place for this movie and some other song choices for them to sing to fit the genre would have been better. The characters singing along to Britney did make me giggle though because it was quite funny especially James Franco singing as Alien.
Overall I think that although the plot is very weak and practically has no substance whatsoever I still think the movie is good. The movie is constantly shocking you with something new and that keeps you watching. The surreal style of the movie also kept me watching. I think because the actors chosen are the opposite of the roles they played that also made it a good watch seeing these transformation. This movie has some heavy situations in it so I wouldn't recommend this for the faint hearted.
After watching this movie I had the sound of James Francos character saying "Spring Break, Spring Break Forever" stuck in my head for days because it was just creepy. I have been saying to everyone that this movie is weird but I still loved it.

=== My Thoughts ===
This is not really the sort of movie I watch to be honest it was simply channel hopping that got me to end up watching this. Being a fan of Dolly Parton s music and Queen Latifah s acting I thought why not give this movie a watch since they are both in it.
My initial thoughts after reading the short synopsis from the TV information was that this could potentially be a movie similar to the already established Sister Act movies or Fighting Temptations which both carry similar stories. In the end it turned out to be a crossover of both with a lot less drama and much more comedy.
The plot itself for me was a little weak. I think it has been done too many times and this added nothing new to make this storyline unique. The plot is very predictable and there were very few moments when I couldn't tell what would happen next. The movie stretches 2 hours long but for me I do feel that it didn't need to drag out that long and some parts are a little irrelevant and don't need to be in the whole story.
This movie has very many comical moments which is one of the things that kept me watching. One of the funniest quotes from the movie was "Get back in the bed and enjoy my snoring like it's a marvin gaye love song". That was said by Queen Latifah to her daughter in the middle of an argument and it had me in hysterics.
The acting is this film is pretty good but especially from Queen Latifah but I expected her to be good although I don't think I have ever seen her play a role like this she is usually a comedian but this is a more serious role. Still I think with her she is diverse enough to make anything to look good.
I think the relationship between Olivia and Randy could have been a little more rebellious. the two weren't suppose to be dating in the movie but they were sneaking around but I think there could have been more to that situation it all seemed to disney to me. That's no surprise though as KeKe Palmer is who plays Olivia.
I didn't like the way that they used the fact that the town couldn't afford to fund the choir anymore so it may not continue to enter the yearly competition. I think it is always something to do with funding or financial troubles which these storylines every time so it would have been nice to see a new reason why they were under threat of not entering the competition the next year. Ever if it was something wacky it would have made it more exciting and not predictable.
The strongest points of this movie is the music remixes and comedy and the weakest is the slow plot and common storyline.
=== Overall ===
I think overall the movie is OK. I would consider this a pass time I do think it is watchable even if only once. Some funny moments that seem to be the thing that kept me interested in watching. I say it is exactly what you would expect from a movie like this no more or no less.
The movie is worth a look but wouldn't suggest you hurry. The movie is available on sky on demand for free at the moment or you can get it new and used from £4.04. I suggest just watch it on sky if this is your thing.

=== Plot ===
The story follows three stories of the lives of people close to Harry. Harry's girlfriend, his best friend Tyrone and his mother Sara. The stories follow their lives in three season and start in summer when everything is all happy and looking up for everyone.
Sara just realised she has been invited to go on a game show and gets ready by losing a little bit of weight to look good for the show. She is eager to fit into and old dress from her youth and starts taking amphetamine pills to prepare.
Tyrone is Harry's friends who are all heroin addicts that join a illegal drug trade to raise some money to open a clothing store in the fall.
Marion is Harry's girlfriend who is along one the ride with the two friends to and enjoying being with her boyfriend Harry.
As the summer draws on and seasons pass the three peoples life get from bad to extremely worse with all characters on a downward spiral of drug addiction but leaving you as an audience wondering whether there will be a light at the end of the tunnel for any of the characters.
=== My Thoughts ===
I think this is a very good story and I really enjoyed watching the movie. I must say it is a little depressing but the characters are lovable because they just want to do good with themselves so when you see them failing in life you can help but want them to pick themselves back up. I know the movie contains a lot of drugs but I felt the movie was about more than that. The movie to me felt like it was telling a story about these peoples lives and drugs got in the way of them doing good not just a movie about a bunch of druggies with no ambition if you get what I mean.
The acting helps bring the movie along very well because there is some really good acting. I think the performances are convincing and help you empathise with all the characters. The other thing that made the movie as good as it is, is the camera work and effects used. There are a lot of dream like sequences and that helped me as a viewer kind of feel like I'm in a dreamlike state to and almost feel like I am in their world to. The use of split screens quite a lot which is good since the story has all different locations and the characters are not always together but it is somewhat always relevant to know what the different characters are doing at the same time. They have used close ups quite a lot to which is also good because there is a lot of emotion in this movie and these shots show that very well. For this movie to work it's always needed to know what the characters are feeling so the close ups help with that. I think this movie is good in a way where it makes you feel emotionally attached to the characters the special effects help this also.
This is an independent movie and I always find that independent movies are mostly better than the mainstream one. I think if something like this went mainstream it would certainly not have the same effect and be as good.
I think for me my favourite character was Sara. I liked her because I see so many issecure people about none that take pills to try 'fix' themselves but a lot that think they need to be skinny or just simply have the same traits as Sara does so for me I can relate in a way because I see it all the time. It annoys me that people can't be confident with themselves but it's also understandable with the media portray alsorts of 'perfect' images that can influence people.

The movie I would say is probably 9/10 and you can buy a copy of it on Amazon new & used from £1.61 definitely worth I'd say probably one of the best films I have watched in a long time. Brill film and a must see. The film is for mature audiences because of it's deep issues and of course being rated 18.
Candy Crush Saga is an addictive game that I came across in the 10 ten free apps on my iPod a couple weeks ago. I regularly check the top 10 free apps just to see if anything takes my fancy and this game did. I play this game on my iPod touch and it usually is a game that keeps me occupied on the long buses to college. Recently showed the game to my sister and she has been addicted to it.
Candy Crush is very much like bejewelled with sweets rather than jewels. What makes this game different though is that unlike bejewelled it mixes it up a bit. For those who haven't played bejewelled what you have to do is match 3 or more items by swiping items left, right, up or down. Candy Crush is very much has the same aim. In Candy Crush each level is a little different which makes it a little more fun. The first type of level is the ones where you simply have to get enough points to move onto the next level. Another type of level is one in which you have to get rid of all the jelly on the sweets. You do this by swiping as much as you can but these type of level get harder because as you go on these levels will get limits on how many times you can swipe to win the game. I enjoy these levels the most mainly because they are very tactical and you have to think about your moves especially when you are running out of swipes. The jelly levels will also get harder by having double jelly in which you have to swipe in the same area twice to get rid of the jelly all together. Another type of level is the one in which you are timed and have to get the amount of points requested in the time frame give. These are very hard but also for me are very fun because I like challenges especially when it's against time. The final type of level is the one in which you have to get the food to the bottom. These are my least favourite levels because they are a little easy and quite boring to me simply because there is no technique to this level.
The level are good because they never really have a strings of one type the change often so you never get bored of one of the different types of levels. The one that pops up the most is the jelly levels but for me I don't mind because they are my favourite.
Though gameplay is fun I think it's a shame that you only get 5 lives which you will lose it you lose the game 5 times. After that you will have to either pay 69p for a new 5 lives or wait 2 an a half hours for another 5 lives. 2 and a half hours because it takes half an hour to gain one new life. I never usually mind waiting 2 and a half hours for more lives but I think it's a shame that after that time you won't get anymore lives it will remain at 5. i don't think it is really worth paying 69p for 5 new lives either because if you are rubbish at the game they will only last you about 20-30 mins but if you are good they will last longer because you will lose less. I personally just wait because it's free.
Whilst I'm talking about what you have to pay for you can also buy boosters for 69p each as well and there are three types. I don't think these are necessary either because if you are good at the game you can earn them by making the right moves in the game and they are not really essential for you to win.
To be a master of this game you need to be alert and think before you move on some levels. Always be looking out for 4 and 5 in a row because they will give you more points when you swipe them and boosters to help you finish the level in 3 starts.
When you complete each level you get 1, 2 or 3 starts with me I like to get three starts before I move on. The stars are based on the points you earn and is different for each level.
The whole game itself is a map with little towns and after completing 10 levels you move to a new town. After scrolling through the whole map to see how many levels there are I saw at least 60 then stopped scrolling so there are a lots of levels to get stuck into which makes the game good for its longevity. I am currently at level 27 and have been playing a few weeks I think this is because the levels are getting harder and more technical for me to complete. Also I only play only the bus to college so when my loves run out I have to wait because I'm cheap :).
The game has very nice graphics. Since it is a sweets game I am glad they have made the game very colourful and bright to look at. The little characters in the game are little little old wooden toys but very colourful which is also nice. I think the way the graphics look would bring out the kid in anyone because they are colourful and just really childish/playful. I usually turn music on app games off but with the game I always play it because it gets me in the mood to think about the right moves in the game.
I think this is a very addictive game for anyone of any age. I think that it is good that it is a free game it's just a shame you have to buy so much in it which is probably why it is free. It's a good time consumer and is available on any apple or android product.
Shark Tale in a Dreamworks Animated comedy that was released in 2004. Initially when seeing the trailers and promotional stuff around this was definitely something that I had to go and see in the cinema. Not to mention Missy Elliot and Christina bubbly rendition of the classic song car wash for the soundtrack was another thing that made the film seem like a must watch for this movie.
Will Smith -- Oscar
Robert De Niro -- Don Lino
Renée Zellweger -- Angie
Angelina Jolie -- Lola
Jack Black -- Lenny
Martin Scorsese -- Mr Sykes
Ziggy Marly -- Ernie
Doug E. Doug -- Bernie
Shark Tale is the story of Oscar who is a low life fish that works as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash. He dreams about being rich and famous one day.
After finding himself in alone at the scene of a shark slayer after the real culprit flee the scene he is labeled the shark slayer and the hero of the town. He decides not to come clean that he didn't slay the shark. This gets him the fame and money he always wanted and he quickly works his way up to the top. Oscar faces many problems on his journey to the top and forgets what is important an it's up to him to not lose himself.
I thought the plot was brilliant as there are not any other animated films that carry a similar plot. I think plot was good because it had a variety of characters and new and fresh kind of characters to make the movie unique. Ernie and Bernie the Jamaican jellyfish brought a different kind of funny culture element to the film that you don't usually see. The Femme Fatale style character of Lola using her looks to scheme her way to get what she wants also a gold digger something a little different also. I think the all star cast helped the characters come across strong.
Although the film is a kids film the movie shows kids the effect that having power can do and what a little white lie can turn into and for that it has good life lessons for kids or anyone watching to take in. The plot is light and has many comical moments that kept me laughing right through. With a movie like this it actually carried the plot and I doubt it would have been as good if it wasn't so funny.
The cultural aspects of the film is so diverse. Having a British news presenter, Caribbean jellyfish, Urban Oscar, Gangster sharks all living and american lifestyle under water so that aspect of it is quite cool.
The only negative I would say is that the movie has a lot of street slang that you probably wouldn't want your kids catching on to. Referring to each other constantly as Dog or Bro for an example.
The soundtrack is right up my street and I love all the songs in this movie. The movie features songs from the likes of ludacris, Justin Timberlake, JoJo, India Arie, Sean Paul etc. I think for me the music in the film was a big part of why I liked the film because it's not often you see a animated kids film filled with R&B, hip hop and reggae tunes. It adds a different touch and makes the movie unique in some aspect.
I think this is a very funny film and I loved it. Although I hear a lots of people saying it's not good and a rip off of nemo on forums I very much disagree. I think that people only really say that because it's about underwater creatures and came out round about the same time. I think personaly besides that the two movies are uncomparable.
I the animation work is good and the movie is really colorful and nice to watch all the underwater creatures. I think the whale wash elemet of tmhe movie being where Oscar works is a little funny because how dirty can you get under water lol. I also thought that the fish driving around like cars was quite funny also.
The movie brings lots of laughs and I would reccomend it to anyone of any age. It is available to buy from amazon new and used from 88p.
I love yorkshire puddings although I have not tried to make them from scratch before I guess Aunt Bessie is to blame. I love them on the side with my Sunday dinner they add a nice touch to my Sunday meals. Usually have about 2 or 3 depending on how I feel.
These Aunt Bessie yorkshire puddings are easy cook straight from frozen in the freezer to the oven. I usually us a foil covered baking tray to cook these and it takes not longer than 3-4 minutes at gas mark 6 before they are crispy golden and ready to eat. One thing that is a little hard annoying for me when cooking them is that the cook so quite and on a number of occasion I have burnt them. When all the dinner is ready I put them in the oven then go sit down for a minute till they are done next thing I know they are burnt because more than often I forget they are in the over because of how quick they are. I invested in an alarm so now when I cook them this doesn't happen to me anymore.
It was the taste of Aunt Bessie yorkshire puddings that have made me loyal to the brand. The Aunt Bessie yorkshire puddings have a very light/soft centre and a crispy outside. They go well with bisto gravy or mint sauce in my Sunday dinner and I have a couple of times just put some in the oven and eaten them alone. Wired I know :). I usually like mine straight out the over and well hot because they taste the best that way. The smell of these is appealing and they are good quality. From the freezer the look all scrunched up but when cooked the are a decent size
Although I have never made homemade ones myself I have tried some homemade ones and Aunt Bessie ones where just as good. For those who made homemade ones I'd recommend trying these because they will save you the hassle of making them and cut down you Sunday dinner preparation time.
The packaging for these is a little hard to spot in the supermarket because Aunt Bessie seem to give almost all there products near enough the same packaging either yellow or blue. The packaging is OK though but I do find having a small freezer that these do take up a lot of space. I once had to put them in the fridge because there was no space in the freezer and they taste vile so i would not recommend anyone do that.
Wheat Flour, Whole Egg, Egg White, Water, Vegetable Oil, Skimmed Milk Powder, Salt

Overall these yorkshire puddings stand out from the rest for me and are very nice. I would recommend these to anyone even those who home make them. These are perfect for everyone in the family I even got my sister to like these and she doesn't usually like this sort of thing.
UCAS (University College Admissions Service) is the place you go if you want to apply for a university place in the UK. I am applying for September and think the idea of UCAS is brilliant and made applying for me much more efficient and easy.
I started my application a few months back and applied through my college. If you apply through college you need to ask you college for their buzz word because you can't sign up applying through college before you get that. You can also apply independently where you won't need a buzz word. I liked applying through college because I was able to send my whole application to my tutor and he checked it and sent it back if I had any mistakes. I had it sent back to me three times but it was for the best because now I have got a much stronger application.
Once you have registered you will need to keep you log in details safe including your I'd number because you will need it to log in every time. I did forget mine initially as I registered but didn't start filling in my application till a month later. All you have to do to fix it is press forgot details and they send you three emails containing your id in one, password in one and username in the other. It's pretty much instant that they email you the details so no need to worry if you forget.
Once you are all registered you can start your application and come back it is whenever you want so there's not hurry to finishing it all in one which I thought was great. To me right up till New Year to finish mine because of constant changes to my personal statement.
It's best to send it to your application off as soon as possible so that your reference has time to write you a good reference. I have heard stories of people waiting as long as two months for their reference to be added. Imagine if you missed the deadline because of your reference is what you should always have in the back of your mind when applying. Although you can get offers if you apply after the January 15th deadline but universities don't have to consider you equally so on popular courses you may be disadvantaged.
The Personal Statement is the hardest part of the application for most. It's hard enough trying to sell yourself but when you only get 47 lines or 4000 characters to do it in it makes it even harder. My personal statement took me three months to get it to a state that I was satisfied with. I wrote mine on word first then copied it over into the box for you personal statement on UCAS. On UCAS personal statement box you only get 35 minutes to write you statement before it times out so it's wise to write it in word first and copy it over when you are done to save it getting lost in the middle of writing it.
the personal statement for me could have been better because although you are writing one to sell yourself the box doesn't allow you to structure it to show you academic skills fully. Whilst you have all you punctuation and grammar all in order it doesn't allow you to use paragraphs where I think it should. You can leave a line for a paragraph but it takes one of you lines so if you was to write 4 paragraphs you would be short of 4 lines which is a lot to dismiss when you only have 47 in total to show yourself off.
There are a lot of guidelines on the UCAS website that helps you with what to put in you personal statement and you can contact them about it if you are stuck. My advice is to show you are passionate about the course you are applying to that is what I did and it worked so far got 3/5 offers.
-------------Sending It Off-----------
Once you have finished you application you just have to pay and send. Currently it is £12 for a single application and £23 to send your application to more than one university. I personally just paid the £23 because I didn't see any point in only applying for one university because I wanted back up just in case I didn't get in to my favourite choice.
Once your application has been processed you will receive a welcome letter . My welcome letter took two weeks to come for some unknown reason. Before I even got the welcome letter I logged into track with my apply login and it worked. i do think UCAS can be a little slow with updating track with your offers. I received and offer from a uni by email and it took them over a week to update my track. I got another offer from a different uni via email and UCAS updated it within hours so I assume that it depends on how busy they are. Track is good overall because you don't have to be waiting around for an acceptance letter to come in the post which could get lost you can just check online.
UCAS I personally think is a brilliant idea to help students easily apply for university. It saves the hassle of having loads of different deadlines and having to go through a different application process for each application you send and just having one. I like that all you have to do is complete all the details of your application and then send it to UCAS and then sit back and wait because they do all or most of the communication between you and the university for you.
If you are an international student you can apply to study in the UK through there also which is also convenient for people who don't live in the UK.
If you a little unsure of where does your course using course search can show you all the courses and where they are. You have the option to search by course or search by area. I found this helpful because when I applied I was adamant that I wanted to go in London so was easily able to search all the universities in London.
UCAS is so helpful I liked their page on Facebook and have asked so many questions threw Facebook regarding my application and they are so helpful. The frequently asked questions is booming with questions and they have nearly everything you could possibly want to know about your application on the website. The have external links on how to apply for student finance also which I found useful they also have some breakdown of what you could potentionally get from student finance England.
There is not much more a student could ask of UCAS everything has run smoothly with them for me and think that this is good. I felt like UCAS website provided with me with very important knowledge for university and without it I don't think I would be half as prepared. There speciality may be just to get your application done but they do that and a little more. Thumbs up for this site from me 100%
Funny Games is a remake by Michael Haneke of his own Austrian film of the same name. The film was released in 2007 and he made the film almost scene for scene (meaning almost exactly the same) to appeal to an American audience. The original being released 10 years prior to this version in 1997.
Naomi Watts as Ann Farber
Tim Roth as George Farber
Michael Pitt as Paul
Brady Corbet as Peter
Devon Gearhart as George "Georgie" Farber, Jr.
Siobhan Fallon as Betsy Thompson
Boyd Gaines as Fred Thompson
Robert LuPone as Robert
Funny Games is a Psychological thriller which plays a few mind games on the viewers. The plot is about and family who go to their second home for a break and are paid a visit from their neighbours. The neighbours turn out to be intruders and play a series of mind games with the couple and their son. The game is a bet that the intruders made with the family that they will not survive the night. The movie is really a fight for survival for the family but will they survive will keep you guessing all the way through.
I thought the plot for me was good but this is only a movie for those who are willing to sit through more than half an hour of building the plot. This movie is what I call a slow burner and unless you give it a chance you won't get to enjoy the film because most of the shocking and gripping stuff is towards the middle and end of the film. I will admit the first half hour I thought to myself where is the movie going because it is simply just the family settling in to their holiday. I do think that since watching all of the movie it is necessary for the start to be this long to ease you into the characters and what is going on.
James, Peter, Paul, Tubby characters with many names. It was a little weird in the movie that the two villainous characters played by Michael Pitt and Brady Corbit called each other by a string of different names. When I analysed them in my film studies class it was noted that the names used are all similar and carry meaning to the film. Tom and Jerry was one which stood out. In Tom and Jerry cartoon they are sort of enemies that blow each other up and do all sorts of crazy things to each other with no consequences. Although tom and jerry is a kids cartoon if you look at the principles of it you'll find its similar to the bad characters in this movie. Various other pairs are used for the the same sort of effect that they are a destructive pair that can do no wrong. It's quite a thought out thing that the writers and directors did there. It seems as the the two bad guys have many personalities and the names represent what mood they are feeling towards the other.
This movie is quite clever the way it has been constructed. The way that the movie has been put together it makes you almost empathise with the villainous characters. It initially starts with the bad guys coming the the family's home asking for eggs. One of the bad guys drops the eggs and asks for more. All of this is so innocent but the wife in the family starts getting agitated and treating the guy who ask for eggs quite negatively. The husband slaps one of the guys which seemed like from my point of view uncalled for in the situation as all the guy tried to do is get some eggs. This is where the bad guys are still apparently good guys so the way they are treated is a bit mean considering they always say please, thank you and seem to have very good manners.
As the movie goes on it completely changes but their manners and respectful personalities carry on although they are causing hell for the family.Although they are the bad guys they are so nice that you just can't be angry at them because they play the victim very well even though they are not the victims. It's a lot easier to hate the bad guy when they are aggressive but these two are calm and gentle which is one of the reason why this film plays with your mind psychologically.
Another thing about the film is that it involves you as an audience when the pair want to make decisions. There are 2 or 3 moments in the film when either of the bad guys look towards the camera and ask you a question or what you are think. I thought this was clever because it then makes you think to yourself what would I do and involve you in the movie because they have spoken directly to you. At every point the speaking to the camera it is to influence you as an audience to want more violence. The way the movie is constructed is that the situation they are in you expect lots of bloody violence but it's the opposite. When they talk to the camera it encourages you in a way to want them to do the negative thing for you to see some blood and violence because that is what you expect from the film. There is blood and violence in this movie but not in the way it's usually shown in these kind of movies. The ending has a little twist also so that is something to look out for.
The first time I watched this film I thought it was good but it wasn't until discussing it in my film studies class that I really understood the film and it's really quite interesting if you look into the storyline. The title of the film is a little ironic because the games in the film are not funny but more cruel and I would not even consider anything that goes on in the movie a game. Though the sarcasm of the two villains is quite funny sometimes.
Overall the film is quite good and the two villain characters are some crazy guys and I just can't believe how evil they are but portray themselves as so nice. The plot does take long to heat up but if you sit and watch all of it you will be entertained as it gets into the story. The acting I felt was superb and they really done a good job of portraying their characters. I think the characters are quite different to what I have seen before also so it was nice seeing something new especially the two villains. The style of the movie is quite unique and for that reason alone you should watch it. The movie is psychological and whilst they are playing with the families mind they are also playing with your mind to.
The DVD is available from 2.56 new a used from Amazon. I wouldn't recommend rushing out to buy but it is definitely worth a look.
My cardigan collection is getting quite big these days I got this Cardigan about mid last year but didn't start wearing it till recently as a cardigan to wear under my coat for extra warmth in this cold weather that we have been having. It was a present my sister got me from when she went out shopping she brought it me as a treat. Mine being size 10 in black but just checked and they still have these cardigans in New Look in all different colours currently going for £14.99. The colour my sister originally go me way grey but because I have loads of grey cardigans I went back to New Look store and swapped it for the black. I remember then it being £15.99 so it has decreased in price since then. As for sizes New Look are pretty good and cater for everyone and these are currently available in size 6-18.
Was a nice surprise getting this cardigan because I like wearing cardigans and have a huge collection. I took it out the back and my first impression was it's nice and simple casual cardigan. Although I did swap the colour the grey was a nice stone colour tone but black for me was a more practical colour because of the colour of clothes in my wardrobe already and having a few grey cardigans. The cardigan feels of a decent quality. the cardigan is lined with a rim all the way around the neck and front. It has two pockets at the front which I never really use because I don't want to way down the pockets because of how thin they are but the add to the design. The cardigan is long sleeves.
The cardigan is thin but for me wearing it under my coat is excellent. Outside is always cold but when I get to college it is very warm inside. I can take my coat of and feel normal wearing my cardigan so it helps inside and outside of college. I also work in a short sleeve polo t shirt it gets very cold so I always take this with me when I am working and it gets a bit chilly which is handy because it's light and takes up very little room in my bag. I wouldn't recommend wearing it alone when it's cold as it's not thick.
-------------------How It Fits Me---------------------
I usually wear my cardigan under my coat and over a short sleeve t shirt or vest top. Some cardigans when I wear the under my coat feel uncomfortable especially if they are quite thick. This cardigan being thin is barley noticeable under my coat but still adds warmth when I'm out in the cold. The cardigan is very average when it comes to comfort. The cardigan is quite a loose fit and even though I cover mine up under my coat it is a nice style for a tank and jeans in the spring or just cooler weather. It's loose so it doesn't restrict movement and is free when wearing it.
------------------Taking Care Of It--------------------
The cardigan is very good in the wash and doesn't shrink or change colour. With black items it is common for them to go an off browny colour when over washed but this one doesn't which is good. The cardigan is like a crease magnet and every move I make (almost) it gets crushed especially when it comes out the wash, I lean against something with it on, not hanging it up. Every time I wear this it is essential that I Iron it which isn't really a problem because it iron easily because the thin material and plain design.
Made of 96% Viscose, 4% Elastane the New Look website recommends washing at 30 degrees so I tend to stick to this. probably why it's it good condition.
Overall the cardigan is comfortable looks nice and suitable for many occasions such as work, college, spring or anything else that is casual. I think the cardigan is worth it's price and is a nice item to have to wear. I would recommend it to have if you into cardigans it's plain simple and works with many outfits. The variety of colours and sizes make it suitable for anyones tastes. Currently priced at 14.99 in New Look they sell then all year round as far as I'm aware so no hurry there will always be one available lol. It's one of those cardigan that you always see on the shelves.
