I wish everybody knew about this part of the world. With many people deciding to holiday at home in recent years people often ask in conversation where they should go. This is where I always recommend. I grew up as young child going on a caravan holiday near Sandy Bay. Playing cricket on the beach, splashing about in the water having a lovely time. I went back a couple of years ago and sometimes you can view places with rose tinted glasses. You have these magic memories and then years later it just disappoints. Exmouth was not that and for me only enhanced its reputation as the best holiday destination in the UK.
So why do I think it so good?
First of all it has the best beach. The beach is comparable to something you would find in the med. It is that good. The water is so clear and fresh you will not have and concerns about your children swimming in the sea. The atmosphere is wonderful and the local people are very friendly. There is plenty of things for children and young familys to do but there is also a good variety of places to eat out at night. The fish and chips there are just brilliant too.
There is no better place. I do not know why more people do not know about Exmouth. You must visit and honestly you will fall in love with it just like I have.
When I first brought this phone I loved it. To look at it was not spectacular, just a basic rectangle shape completely black and it is quite a slim phone. The problem is with the Lumia is that it has been so quickly overtaken by various other phones on the market. As a mid range mobile it keeps its head above the water.
With access to the internet fairly rapid and quick access to emails it was a little dream, showing it off to friends I was happy. The touch screen is a good feature and you can get even quicker access to apps through a variety of little squares that appear on the home screen. It is excellent for social interaction in that sense because by clicking on the twitter on facebook for example it gives you access with 3 seconds. Being a windows phone it though it doesn't allow access to all the apps I like though. For example I like to use internet banking with Natwest and it does not allow you to download the app as it is only available on Iphone or Android. Things like this are major drawback.
The apps it does have to offer is beginning to grow but it you have to ask yourself why wait when you can have it all on other models.
Now I have had the phone a while the battery life has begun to fade. It won't charge completely and the battery fades rather rapidly. I have had it on a 24 month contract so I suppose it is coming to end of its life as a phone but this is worth bearing in mind if you are looking to buy one second hand. In its earlier days the battery life was rather good. It would drain like most phone if you used the apps constantly but you could easily get a days worth out of the phone.
The camera is good the audio on the phone is excellent making it really good for listening and watching youtube videos. For me it competes with phones such as the HTC but it has been overtaken even by its own brand and other phones now so for me there are better phones than this on the market.
With so many phones now on the market that are comparable and fast as PC, does the Iphone still cut it in the competitive market?
I have always had a smartphone and could not live without it. Email, instant messaging and built in social networks are essential. It is a bit like having a remote control for your TV. How on earth did my life function without these items? The Iphone 4s takes it to a whole new level.
First of all it is slim, sleek and sheek. I love the curves on the edges and it just looks cool. It is so easy to operate with literally a touch of the button you are flicking through a variety of websites within seconds. I have been used to waiting a least 5-10 seconds for things to load on my previous phones. I never thought this would make much difference but I could not go back to waiting that long now.
It has so many functions probably half of them I will never use. That said what it useful for me are things like bluetooth, games, email, speaker phone, youtube, social networks and the speed it operates. Facetime I am still getting to grips with basically because I look horrible on the screen! Once I am over my self consciousness I am sure I will find this useful.
The downsides are things like the camera. I can come out a little blurry on occasions but that side you can adjust the light of the photos you take and change the whole picture at a click of a button. The only other downside is that these Iphones do seem a bit samey samey. By that I mean what is the difference between the Iphone 4s and Iphone 5? I mean the real difference? What is there going to be to keep me buying another one. That is for another day. This is my first Iphone and I am very happy with it. Will I be buying one again I am not sure but for now I am Iphone follower and I am pleased with my choice.
This is an excellent piece of equipment and on that is so useful around the house. We have two cats and to be honest it is marvellous for cleaning those pet hairs up that seem to get everywhere.
There is nothing more annoying in my opinion than having cleaned the house and been around all the rooms with the big vac than somebody trudging into the house with muddy feet or the cats bringing in something they should not. You have spent a good hour tidying up and then suddenly your hard work is ruined.
This happened to me quite a lot over Christmas. Having guests around for is all good but you cannot help thinking please do not make a mess. For example my brother, his wife and my niece were down on New Years Day from Scotland. All is going well until Jennifer who is only six starts running around and unfortunately knocked the plant over with soil going everywhere. She was very upset but I wasn't at all. I knew that it could be cleaned it very quickly.
The suction is very good even with bits of soil and despite it being used on various other bit that seem to make their way into the house it has maintained its power. Because it is hand held its great around kitchen especially where bits of food and crumbs fall off the side and I have even used it over the seats of my car to give it a once over. I have found after playing football grass can often get into the car and again it has little trouble clearing it up.
What is important for an item like this is its price and when you can pick one of these up from an Asda living store for as little as £12 then you realise that you are onto a winner.
It is certainly something I would recommend and when it comes to value for money I would look no further.
Now I am not sure who started the fashion or maybe it is because I have been out of touch for so long but body hair on a man is now not really the done thing. Well this is what I have been told anyway. I don't have a lot of hair, a very small area on my back but I do like to keep myself cleaner and tidy in other more sensitive areas.
I have tried my facial razor before and this can work perfectly fine but if you are using it on your body then you always run the risk of making a nick in the skin and this can be quite painful. I also have a decent amount of chest hair and once I shaved it off with the Phillips I was given many more compliments especially when I was away on holiday. Again it is difficult to shave the chest area with developing some sort of rash through over use and then you always develop an ingrowing hair.
Having looked around many stores and sought a decent product online I came across this shaver and have not looked back since. I have been really happy with it and its is extremely effective. There are various blades to use depending upon the thickness of the hair or the area in which the hair is located. It is specifically designed for use on the body, chest, nose and groin areas and although I was a little apprehensive at first mainly due the electric whirling sound it made there was no need to worry as was perfectly comfortable and safe.
It gives a close enough shave to be efficient and you may need to go over areas a few times which can lead to a small rash but nothing at all to the like I was getting before. I am very happy with it and will not be going back to a normal razor.
The price you should be paying can vary dramatically depending upon where you look. The best advice would be to look at the deals on the internet rather than going through a store and you may even find since I brought the price has come down further than from what I paid.
Phillips are a good name in this industry and they have not let anybody down with this product. I am happy to be using it and I know my girlfriend is too. It is defiantly worth a purchase in the January sales.
If you are visiting the heart of England for awhile then it is well worth checking out Evesham as a place to go. Located just a few miles down the road from Stratford Upon Avon it is a lovely town to go and relax. I know a lot of people who live just a few miles down the road in Redditch, Bromsgrove and in Worcester City itself who have never been and they really are missing out on a treasure of place.
I used to go with my family when I was young. There is a huge area of green land where you pay £5 for the day to park your car around the edges and people either use it to sunbathe, or the kids to kick a ball throw a frisbee or play some cricket. If that is no good for you then as its located adjacent to the river you can take a walk alongside it down the paths and if you walk down far enough then you will find places that do river boat trips. This is always good fun a very relaxing.
I have many happy childhood memories visiting Evesham, running around with an ice cream in my hand for a day trip out. However now I am older it is still nice to visit. It is such a picturesque town, with plenty of shops, nice little restaurants and cafes and the people are always very friendly.
I would not say it was a place to spend a weekend although it is good location to stay if you are visiting Stratford, Worcester or perhaps even Warwick Castle because you will probably find the hotel prices a bit cheaper. The Malvern Hills are not too far either so it has a lot to offer people. It certainly will give you a good image of what the Heart of England has to offer and as I say with the good transport links you will find it is accessible for other places around it.
If you are looking for a place to visit then you can certainly do worse than visit Evesham. It is a lovely historical place with great architecture and many beautiful areas. The scenery by the riverside is magnificent and it is good day out if you have young children because of the huge area of green fields. There are not many areas these days where kids can just run around and be themselves. Take a ball and as long as the weather holds true you can enjoy your picnic and ice cream. Then your children might have some of the similar memories as I have of the place. I hope that you enjoy.
Now I do always wonder about these offers that seem to come up in stores especially around this time of year. You walk in to a shop filled with percentages, bright colours and all promoting the fact that there are bargains to be had. I believe there is more awareness of this bumping up of prices and then a week later taking 70% off. However it is impossible not to ignore good value and so as we were having guests around for Christmas we wanted to spruce up our kitchen with some new appliances and when I brought this I knew we had a good product.
Having searched a number of the different makes and models and compared prices for different products I was very happy to find this one. Sometimes you have to wade your way through all the various prices but for sure bargains are out there.
It has a capacity of 1.7 litres which is a good size and when boiling the water it is so quiet. To make that point I did think it was not working properly at first. After a few minutes I looked over and saw the light was off. Only when I pressed the button again did I realise it gave off little noise. Now I am not saying that our old kettle was so noisy that you could not hear yourself speak or that the neighbours were constantly phoning the police because of the ongoing kettle disturbances. However there is a noticeable difference and it is just another example of the kettles quality.
It also has a quick boiling function, Now this is something when you have another kettle that you do not need however when you have it you wouldn't be able to live without it. The only thing I would change is the colour but that was my girlfriends choice. You maybe able to get another colour for it. The button to switch it on gleams with quality to rather like a car door shutting from a Mercedez Benz. Again you can hardly hear it press down.
The cordless function is excellent and often you have to pay a much higher price for this facility. It is very handy and means that we can have more space in our kitchen. Plus we only paid £17 for it, Now of course it was reduced from a much higher price or so they say anyway but it does feel like you are getting a bargain as I would have happily paid a much higher price for it.
The product comes with a guarantee so you need to not worry about the reliability too much although I have to admit I don't know much about the Pro Line brand so not sure how good a make they are. My thoughts are that if reputable high street stores are selling them like Comet then I would assume that they are more than useful.
If you are seeking a kettle that will provide you with some more pricey functions at an affordable price then you can do much more worse than to buy this. I would certainly recommend it and I am very happy with it so far.
There are some things which transcend themselves from one generation to the next without any diminished credit, unblemished and as though they have been living the dream, as still as good today as they always were. You have bands like U2, shows such as Friends and even comedy acts like Morecambe and Wise. For years this game has been around and yet it shows no signs of wear and tear. Like famous artists or those comedy acts that continue to perform It is still fresh. The game continues to give pleasure to thousands of gamers and those part time players who just simply want a bit of fun. It is a game that is synonymous with Nintendo, its a trademark of theirs and almost every time there is a new console released if this game fails then so would Nintendo.
So why is this game so popular? How come many young children would have been writing it down on their Santa list? Why did it provide us with so much enjoyment being played by my brother, my girlfriend and my girlfriends dad? I hope to answer at least some of these questions in this review.
The first Mario Kart game was released in 1987 and everyone who was in the gaming industry had to play catch up from there. The cheeky characters, fun game play and competition made it an enjoyable game to play. There were other games too like Zelda but this one encapsulated what the consoles was all about. Just have a good time. No blood, no gore just a good family experience.
This Nintendo Maro Kart game on the Wii has really changed much from the original. Looking around the living room at on Christmas day seeing the different age groups of people playing it with smiles on their faces I noticed It had still had the same features. You pick a character, you pick a car you drive it. There are added features such as the battles, the various difficulties in the tracks and the fact you can now use the Nintendo steering wheel to help you around the courses but the principles are still the same.
There is also a bit more skill and tactics involved because you can tailor the car you pick to the course that you are going to be on. So for example you may find yourself on a tight bendy road which may mean you want to pick a car with more handling. Or for example there maybe courses with long straights so you could make the choice of having a Kart with better straight line speed and acceleration. This element adds a little more too the previous versions and means that you can try different karts out. You can also unlock different tracks the more skilled you become. It makes the whole game last longer and prevents any tedium setting in too quickly through the constant game play.
The game up until May this year had sold 28 million copies world wide in fact it sold 300,000 copies just in Japan on its first day of release. You know exactly what you are going to get with this game. I am one of those millions of people I have to say it is my all time favourite. I know there is a call of duty phenomenon on and various other big named titles that attempt to steel the limelight on other consoles but you cannot beat this in my opinion.
I see no reason why this game cannot continue to be the best franchise game ever. We are at 7 so far and I am sure it continue. The quick responsive game play the fact you can pick up added boosters, the circuits are far better and challenging to what I have known before I reckon this can go on and on. My hope will be that many more younger gamers will discover it too and perhaps it can be passed on down the generations like that tradition you have at Christmas. I am unsure as to what we will be doing next year or where we will be spending Christmas Day. One thing is for sure however and that is for now many more young people and adults will be wanting this on their wish list and hoping Santa brings them the gift they want.
It remains the best game I have ever played and the new Wii Mario Kart simply does not disappoint. I cannot recommend it enough. Put away the board games at the next house party and plug this game in. Then sit back and see the happy faces. Enjoy.
I was so pleased to get this for my birthday a couple of of months ago. It is by far and away the best after shave I have used before.
There was a lot of publicity surrounding the fragrance over Christmas with stiff competition from various other manufacturers. Every TV program you watched on a channel you would be bombarded with some advert or other trying to improve you sexual life with a new fragrance. From the single man to the man who wants it all there are various companies trying to change your life. However I cannot imagine there being one that would be any better than this. This one is simply superb.
I was given it in a box set with Gucci Shower Gel and the packaging was lovely. As I opened it the scent was so strong I could smell the fragrance there and then. The combination is like fresh forest tinged with peach and flowers.
Due to the fact that the scent is strong you really do not need a lot to put on for it to be effective. Gucci was one of the companies advertising this scent in a very sexual way and the Guilty name has seductive and sexual annotations. It is very vibrant and if you are single man there is no doubt it will get you noticed in a club or bar. Certainly you will get compliments for it and attention.
The bottle comes in sizes of 30, 50, 75, 100ml. Personally if you buy the 50ml bottle this I think provides good value as you wont need to be spraying loads and therefore will not go through the bottle quickly. You should be looking to pay between £40 and £65 depending upon retail outlets. Finally I would say it is more of night time scent. Not really one for the office unless you are planning to meet that girl at the photocopier again. It is simply lovely and worth every penny.
I was given this as a birthday present and as soon as I opened it I wanted to take the day off work so I could watch all of the whole series. It is one of those programmes that just has you absorbed right form the start, makes you wait in anticipation as to what is going to happen next. The great thing about series one in particular is that it sets the bar and standard for what goes on throughout the series.
You are cleverly introduced to the characters, what they are like and also into their real names and lives. Following MI5 and MI6 through the battles they have with terrorism and other factions who are looking to destroy and bring down the UK government you really get a feel for how intense things are. It does really well to add suspense to the drama and give you the unexpected.
Without spoiling it one of the a couple of the main characters get killed in this series. Therefore it does not follow the pattern of everything turning out ok in the end. This ensures it moves itself away from scripts that have fairytale endings which loses some of the thrill.
This series portrays itself as hard hitting real life at the coal face of national security. Yes I am sure that some of the stuff is far fetched but it is close enough to reality and makes you believe so much that it will almost certainly have you hooked. It follows story lines such as corruption in the security forces, love interests, the troubles in Ireland and even extremists who do not believe in abortion and use bombs to make their point.
The acting is superb, the use of music at the correct times to add to that drama is efficient and overall it is a fantastic show.
On the downside I do not know why the only made 6 episodes in series 1 surely they must have known it was going to be a success and why put these shows across 3 CDs. Also when you are loading the DVD up you have to wait for this guy to break into a building before you get the the menu screen. Its kind of annoying when you just want to delve straight into the action.
If you have not seen Spooks before this is a must to add to your DVD collection.
I love this laptop especially after my old one has now virtually conked out. I use it for work as a PE teacher to do my planning with and use for lesson plans whilst also browsing the internet for sports news and social networking. For me this fits the bill perfectly.
I like the large, easy to use buttons. The key board is good for navigating through and the buttons are also responsive. You only have to tap lightly for them to work. Not like my old one where you needed to press down hard to get anything to work. I also find the system simple to look at but also rather stylish. I would describe it as neatly finished at the corners and with its silver outer lining looks very smart.
It has a built in webcam that is of good quality. The images are not blurry or delayed and having used it quite regularly recently to skype my friend in Australia I can vouch for that.
I tend to upload my pictures to facebook quite a lot and this laptop is useful because it allows you to put in your memory card port and you can upload your digital photos in seconds. It also has a USB port at the back of the computer which is good for me when doing my work and makes it easy to save everything.
The screen is lovely and clear. Great for viewing images and videos on youtube. It is also great for playing these videos and is quick enough to mean that any buffering is minimal. What also helps is the large storage capacity the laptop has for data too. You need not worry about saving items to your desktop or saving all you many holiday photos as it just does not appear to slow it down.
I also love the way you can switch rapidly through different websites. For example you can move from one site to another within seconds without having to close sites down to take a look. If you are anything like me this is real god send. I have at least 15 pages open right now but it is not a problem for the system. If you like to toggle then this is perfect for you.
The mouse on the centre of the laptop is good to easy to operate and it has an excellent battery life. You can easily get 2 hours use of out of it when it is unplugged and there are various modes that you can use to save on power too.
This is a great laptop. You should be looking to pay around the £350 mark for it and although there are cheaper laptops out there your will appreciate the extra little functions it has to offer. Couple with with the fact it is sleek and stylish and you are onto a winner. I really like it and hope you will too.
I had never had a navigation system up until about 6 months ago instead relying on my own map reading skills or following a paper route planner. Neither of these were very good or safe. I must spent hours driving round places in the hope I would come across my destination and with petrol prices going up I decided to take the plunge and go and purchase this Garmin.
I know that there are a number of different players within the navigation market but Garmin were recommended to me and my girlfriend also had one too. They have a good reputation in the market place and I certainly have never been disappointed with this.
I previously thought I would just like something to get me from A to B without getting lost nut I have been spoilt with certain aspects of this. I like the fact it gives you updates on screen of when you are going to arrive. This goes down or up depending on how your are driving and is updated instantly. The other month I was going to a wedding in Bristol and it does take the stress out of travelling because you know what time you are going to get there.
The speed camera function is excellent giving you a beep as you are approaching a camera or even a speed camera zone where potential mobile speed operatives maybe lurking. I have 3 points on my licence and don't want any more so this really helps.
It is easy to put up on the windscreen, connects and loads up within just a few seconds. The last thing you want is to be in your car waiting ages to start your journey so the ease of use for this product I would say is excellent.
It tells you with ample time how far you are away from certain junctions or corners. It gives you regular information through the clear screen image and arrows, whilst also telling you verbally when you need to change course.
Finally although I have never really seen the point of these zones especially when there is no traffic on the road but there is a section on the screen which will let you monitor your speed. Now of course you have the cars speedometer however I have found this useful to keep a check on my speed because when you are driving on roads you are unfamiliar with it is sometimes easier to concentrate just on one piece of equipment and this function allows you to do that by simply looking at the Garmin.
There is a downside and I suppose all technology is never fool proof but that wedding I mentioned earlier meant we did get there on time. However it did take us at first to the wrong church despite typing in the postcode. By a quirk it took us the church of the same name just that it was 5 miles apart. Another member of my girlfriends family had the same problem so I suppose nothing is perfect and at least we were not late.
At just short of £100 I would suggest I have earned my money back by not having to travel around roads trying to locate my destination any more. I no longer have to frantically find or guess a place or use maps again. It is not perfect but it certainly takes the pressure off and is good value at an affordable price.
Now I am not into my technology but even I know when I am onto a good thing with Scart Cables. These products connect all of your electronic equipment together such as TVs will have a rectangle hole in the back of the system and you can connect your console or games systems with it.
Now I never knew until I was speaking to my girlfriends dad at a house party once that there was any difference in products. Some of them can range from £45 to £10 He recommended this one I brought it on line and found that there was a difference in the picture that I received.
It was much clearer and crisper than before. I did also notice a slight difference in the sound quality with this product too.
My friends have noticed the difference when they come round to my house and play Fifa and it is noticeable that there is a difference in the game play. It is more responsive than before and makes it easy to manoeuvre the players. There is no doubt that it expensive and that you can pick up other Scart leads for way less money. At a little under £20 then you may decide this to be a luxury purchase especially if you are like me who normally gets these second hand. However it does make a difference to the images on the screen.
You can also tell that this is a bit better than cheaper scart leads as it fitted nicely into the socket too and often I have to force my older ones into back of the TV.
If you a re looking for a product that will improve the function of your TV then you can get a bit of extra quality from changing your scart lead. I didn't know that this was possible until I tried it.
I already had a Bush TV for our living room and having had this for two years I wanted another TV of this make. We currently have taken on a lodger in the house to pay for bills and so we decided to use the additional income to pay for Sky multi-room and buy an additional TV. This would also hope to save on any problems if we all wanted to watch different programmes.
This model cost just £129 and is a very sleek and stylish TV. I didn't want something bulky and so with its flat screen it means it doesn't take up much room. What I also like about is its stand which seats neatly on the sky box and so again minimal room is taken up on the side board.
It gives off an excellent picture although it is not completely panoramic. If you sit too much of an angle then the images become slightly blurry. This is probably to do with the number of pixels the TV has. Because of this I would recommend it best as second TV for your room or perhaps in a kitchen. Unless you are guaranteed to get a good seating position in all areas of your living room. It is also only 19 inches which is something to have in mind if you are seeking to have this as your single TV.
The built in DVD system is great too. It is easy to load and use. Again this is another good thing as it saves space. The buttons are nice and simple to use however my only gripe is that it can take a little while to switch on. There seems to be a 3 second delay from actually pressing the button to switch it on to anything starting to happen. I can live with that however and I am sure that if you want a good TV at and affordable price then you would not mind either.
I would recommend this as a second TV or for students who need to limit the space they have. It is good value and by a good brand.
I loved this phone when I first brought it. I couldn't wait to take it home and open the box. THe thing is now it has been taken over by so many other smart phones. The market seems to move so quickly that quick and easy apps for facebook and twitter have been negated by how slow it is to load the internet to other sites and I am stuck with this for another 6 months having brought it on a 24 month contract.
It is the basic Blackberry in their range however the buttons are great to use and despite being small are easy to operate. I did think this would take a bit of time to get used to and be a bit fiddly however I find them very good quickly. Although it is a slim phone it is also very sturdy and having dropped it a few times as is sometimes happens it has not broken and shows only a few scratches and marks. I love the fact I can send emails quick and easy with the phone like sending a text message and the fact that I can receive my emails like a text message too.
There are lots of apps to download for music and different games and blackberry messenger is useful. The problem is that I am 31 now and I do not have lots friends who are on bbm as they call it. From working in a school I know lots of pupils use this as a fun, easy and cheap way to send messages to each other however I do not use this function enough to get the full benefits of it. That said when I had two friends watching the cricket in Australia last winter I found it useful to send these free texts to them to keep in touch.
For me I would say the phone is useful for those just getting onto the smartphone market. Social networking is easy but that is where the positives stop. It has been taken over by so many brands and items that are just so much better. This includes their own range of phones like the torch and the bold.
Although a great phone at the time I think now it has had its day and there are better phones out there with more multi functions and faster internet speed which you can get by paying just a few more extra pounds.
