My brother actually introduced me to 'The Detectives' series as im not going to lie i personally had never heard of it before but being a huge fan Jasper Carrott i thought i would give it a try.
I was pleasantly surprised at actually how good it really was, with not one bad episode in my opinion.
The Detectives is a british comedy series which ran from 1993 - 1997 which starred Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell which was based on a police drama spoof.
Its an easy to follow comedy which will have you laughing throughout. They are both completely useless at their job and extremley childish in their behaviour which just adds to the humour. The pair of them are usless with the ladies although smooth talking Robert Powell likes to think he's a hit with the opposite sex. This is certainly a soft comedy and for all the family to enjoy.
Blow is one of my favourite movies which is based on a true story. The film is completely gripping from start to finish which shows that greed always gets the better of people.
The movie stars Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz adding that extra bit of sex appeal to the film.
Basically the plot is about George Jung (Johnny Depp) being an innocent hippy from the 1960's becoming a money chasing drug dealer in the 1980's. In pursue of living the dream life he moves from his home town to California where he discovers sun, sex and majijuana from which he later discovers has huge profits. At first he sell the marijuana to a nice independant lifestyle but greed soon get the better of him. Soon he becomes the worlds premiere importer of Colombian cocaine with the risks he takes becoming more fatal as his profits begin to mount.
What makes this movie all the more interesting is that its based on a true story.
I would certainly recommend this film to anyone and would put this in my top 10 favourite films of all time.
The approx film length is 107 minutes
Times are really tight for me at the moment especially with my partner out of work and her having a child from a previous relationship we both need to save money any way we can. One way of doing this is to stop buying the branded names and instead buy supermarkets own branded items as they are a fraction of the price. In the past i have been reluctant to do so as often cheap brands are to put it nicely 'disgusting' but Sainburys lemonade is a completely different kettle of fish. I found the lemonade so refereshing especially after a hard days work i would pour myself a nice glass of Sainbury's lemonade and feel refreshed. In my opinion it actually tastes nice than some of the branded names such as 7UP but at the fraction of the price.
Sainbury's classic lemonade is made from real lemons and when added to a glass of ice is totally thirst quinching. It also goes very well with spirits such as vodka and gin.
Your typical values per 100ml consists of 50 calories, trace of protein, 12.g carbohydrate and a low salt content of 0.03 grams, so overall its not actually too bad for you.
If you are going to purchase this i would recommend buying it in a multipack of four to save you money.
I would totally recommend buying this lemonade as its very nice and will save you money campared to sprite or 7UP!!!!
Chelmsford is a great place to shop with two modern and fairly large in shopping centre's as well as the main high street and moulsham street. Moulsham Street is the oldest part of town and tends to have more character as it is steeped in history. In partnership with Chelmsford Borough Council & Essex County Council there has been much improvements during the regeneration scheme which was recently completed. It has enhanced the historical character of Moulsham Street but at the same time made it more friendly for shoppers and visitors. Both footways on either side of the road have been widened which in turn has the narrowed the road allowing better walking access for pedestrians. There has also been new benches and lamp posts erected along Moulsham Street. The shops up Moulsham Street have a unique charm about them and they are more specialist shops rather than the rest of Chelmsford which are your more conventional stores. The shops in Moulsham Street include pope & smith sports shop, Moulsham Electronics (music sound specialists), a vintage clothing store, Franklins Needle Craft etc.
Meadows shopping Centre is like any other shopping centre with your big chain stores such as Wilkinsons, BHS, Anne summers, Superdrug, etc
High Chelmer Shopping Centre is the bigger and better of the two shopping centre's which includes some of the following shops, Boots, River Island, Peacocks, JJB, The Game Store, Look, etc and in early Spring of this year the new Primark Store will open its doors.
The High Street is very spacious with many good shops, Which includes the Spurs Shop, Debenhams, H&M, Next, Clinton Cards and also has market stalls down a large length of the high street. As of the late 1980's the high street is pedestrianized fully which has made it much safer for shoppers.
Chelmsford is a good town to shop with a wide range of shops to choose from especially for women but good mens clothes stores are im afraid lacking in the town.
White Hart Lane is the home of Tottenham Hotspur F.C as is located in Tottenham in North London. It has been the home of Tottenham since 1899 with the first match there being played against Notts County which ended in a 4-1 victory for Spurs with a little over 5,000 turning up to witness this!
The stadium holds just over 36,500 spectators which a fairly small compared to rival clubs such as Arsenal & Manchester United etc but there are plans to build a much bigger stadium on the current site.
Its is fairly easy to get to the stadium with White Hart Lane train station only a 5 minute walk and Northumberland Park Station a 10 minute walk to the stadium. The bus service also run regularly with the buses 149, 259 & 279 getting you to the ground.
The away fans are located in the corner of the Park Lane South Stand with the allocation varying on the tickets sales as they get the option of the upper and lower tier which holds roughly 3,000 fans.
The stands are reasonably close to the pitch and with the stands all a similar size and compact it creates a very special match day atmosphere which doesn't occur at many modern stadiums in the UK.
White Hart Lane is defiantly a great place to watch a football match & is certainly safe for all the family.
Paper Mill Lock is a lovely canal system located in Little Baddow which is approximately 7 miles from Chelmsford town centre.
It is a haven for walkers with its picturesque views of the woods and canal system.
opening times vary depending on the time of year but even during the cold winter months its open from 10 am.
It has free admission & there is plenty of free parking at the carpark with coaches also welcome.
You can take an hour long cruise along the beautiful canal or hire a row boat or open canoe and explore the canal yourself.
Where the carpark is located that is a lovely tea room to relax and enjoy the views of the canal. You can refresh yourself with tea, coffee, lunch and home made cakes. During the winter months the tea room changes slightly with homemade soup of the day and daily specials.
There are certainly some lovely parts of Essex and this is certainly one of them!!!
Having borrowed my friends Fujifilm FinePix S2950 camera for the weekend recently this is my view on the said camera.
The Fujifilm FinePix S2950 has a wide-angle 18x zoom lens, takes AA-size batteries for power, and has a 3-inch LCD, an electronic viewfinder, and manual and semimanual shooting modes.
The S2950's performance and photo quality indoors and in low-light conditions relatively poor for its price compared to other camera's within a similar price range!
So basically its a low-cost way to get an 18x wide-angle lens, the Fujifilm FinePix S2950 delivers merely OK photos and shooting performance.
Because there is so little separating the S2950 from the other two models (S3200, and S4000) it's understandable why those looking for a decent zoom lens, a viewfinder, and power from AA-size batteries would gravitate to it instead of its slightly pricier camera's. Unfortunately, its photo capabilities and shooting performance require a lot of compromise. It's not a bad camera, but it's not a very good one, either.
I was given the Crap Towns book a few years back as a stocking filler for christmas & i must say it was such a funny read. A lot of the towns in the book were towns i would have instantly put in there myself. For example number in the crap towns book was Kingston-Upon-Hull which having visited the place myself could completely understand why it was number one. There were a few towns that i didn't understand why they were in there, like Bognor Regis and Worthing but generally they were towns i would have put in this good little book!!
The book is thoughtful, blunt, bitter and humanist. The black and white photographs are perfectly chosen to give each town an even bleaker mood of crappness. (Although you may find photos of shattered cars, strewn garbage, misappropriated human waste and the polluted (and unnaturally warm) ocean next to Leiston nuclear power plant
Its a book that you can read abit at a time when you have a few spare moments and bored rather than needing a few spare hours to get into a book like is usually the case.
Where do i start with this film, well Dumb & Dumber is the funniest most enjoyable films i have ever had the pleasure of watching. From the start to the finish i had tears of laughter.
Jim Carey is my favourite actor but this film is certainly the best film he has been in, in my opinion.
There are so many funny moments from the scene where he crashes his limo at the airport when the air bags get set off to the moment when the bloke wants to kill them by poisoning them with rat poison but ends up being posioned himself.
I have personally watched this film well over 20 times and never get bored of watching it. They tried making a prequel to this film called Dumber & Dumberer but it was poor compared to this, plus it didn't have jim carrey or Jeff Daniels in it so it was never going to do it for me!!!
Although the film was made back in 1994 it doesn't seem in the slightest bit dated & im sure anyone watching the film will have the same views as me that its AMAZING!!!!!
Calvin Klein is a well known & well established brand especially when it comes to fragances such as aftershave. I for one rarely buy any other aftershave other than Calvin Klein but Calvin Klein Escape certainly is one of my favourite fragances that i have worn. The smell certainly is potent like some other aftershaves i have worn in the past have been. Some aftershaves are so strong the smell gets to the back of your throat and you get looks from people for all the wrong reasons. Calvin Klein Escape is certainly different as i have had so many complimentary comments from people especially the ladies which is always a bonus. The fragance also lasts a while which means you don't have to keep topping up with more aftershave like certain other brands require. I for one would recommend buying Calvin Klein Escape especially if your out with your mates on the look out for ladies!
The silicone protective cover for the i-phone 4 is a must have accessorie. Having recently purchased one myself im so pleased i invested in one myself. Me and my best mate purchased our new i-phone 4 at the same time & that evening i purchased a protective cover for my phone whilst my mate decided not to bother. We have both since dropped our phones on the hard concrete which resulted in my mates screen being smashed & my phone being undamaged & perfectly fine all because i invested a few pounds by buying a cover for my phone.
The protective cover actually looks surprisingly good & not cheap and tacky like i thought it might look. So to anyone considering buying the Easyi protective cover i would totally do it, otherwise you might regret it like my best mate did as it cost him over £90 to get a replacement screen.
i recently purchased the new Fiesta in the 61 plate & i am totally in love with the car.
I have a girlfriend & a young baby so i got the 5 door version but you can comfortably fit 4 people in the car with plenty of room to spare.
Its such a smooth drive and changing gear is so easy compared to other cars with no effort involved at all. An added bonus has been the blue tooth which is totally amazing & allows me to take urgent call whilst on the move.
The handling of the car is second to none even in wet conditions where other cars would suffer.
During the winter months when the car is iced up i put the heated front screen on & the ice melts within 30 seconds which is totally awesome.
The only negatives about the car is that its slow at pulling away due to it being a 1.2 and that the lights seem a little dim especially when driving in un-lit areas.
Overall though i would totally recommend this car to anyone!
The Gillette Fushion Proglide is different to other Men's Razors in the sense that the blade doesn't tug at the skin. With other men's razors the blade leaves the skin red & itchy as it scrapes at the skin leaving the skin feeling rough and irritable but with the Gillette Fushion Proglide it just glides across the skin giving it a much closer shave.
It also allows to shave those positions by your jaw & under your chin which isn't possible with many other men's shavers.
The shave is exceptionally smooth leaving your face feeling fresh and clean, meaning you don't have to shave as often as you do with other razors.
I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of by a new razor to invest in the new Gillette Fushion Proglide. It wont let you down & neither will the price which is very reasonable for the price you pay.
