Companies House provides a wealth of information for both those who operate companies and those who wish to find information relating to a specific business. Companies House also holds the register for all limited companies within the UK. As a reference source for those who operate a business, the information provided through the website and associated guidance booklets etc can prove to be a wealth of knowledge. The breadth of information appears to cover the totality of the business needs and is supplied in a format that is understood by all levels of experience. As a new business owner I have often had cause to use the support and services given by Compnaies House with little reaason to moan until now. Previously the information and guidance available has proven to be invaluable; unfortuantely, recently the business received a penalty for an incorrect submission to the Companies House registrar. The disappointment was not so much the penalty, we can all make errors, but the fact that the element that was considered incorrect had been taken directly from the stated requirements published on the Companies House website and within the accompanying literature. This experience has shown that despite the information given by Companies House being in the main pertinet, helpful and correct there are instances where it can go wrong. As such it is recommended that caution is given to the source of information especially if there is a possibility that incorrect submissions could result in a finacial penalty. However, considering this instance in the totality, the overall level of support provided by Companies House is good and well structured. Therefore, I would recommend the use of Companies House to all business operators providing you maintain a level of caution and do not become dependent on the services as a sole source of expertise, otherwise you end up with a penalty of £150.
This is my second blackberry and I continue to be a true fan. The phone is convenient and efficient for all my personal and business requirments. I have configured the phone to receive both personal and work email through seperate accounts which enables me to focus my time and respond appropriately to correspondence. I find the quality and range of applications to be extremely good; there are sufficiant applications available through the Blackberry ApWorld that satisfy both business and personal requirements and there are a lot for free. I have had this handset for nearly a year with minimal technical issues; normally a simple reboot can resolve any hardware hang-ups. Unfortunately, there is always a dependency on the quality of the service provide and on occassion I have had problems receiving th erequired services but these have proven to be due to my service provider and therefore, I cannot hold the Blackberry Curve to fault. The Blackberry messenger application is great for rapid realtime communication without the delays related to traditional texting; I often use this to communicate throughout the day, especially with family. The only restriction to date with the device is the inability to view movie style media whilst browsing the Internet; however this is recognised by the manufacturer (RIM) and will hopefully be rectified shortly. Personally I find the use of a full qwerty style key pad very user friendly and convenient for rapidly inputting data. The roller ball also makes navigation easy and speady; I am confident I would choose a Blackberry again as my chosen handset.
Herts are our prefered supplier for company rental and as such I often have to use their vehicles. I have accrued sufficient rewards to become a Premium Gold member and as such I find the level of service offered to be exceptional when I am at locations around the world. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the level of service provided at our company on-site depot does not match this service and is a great disappointment. I have on occassion been contacted at the last minute to inform me that a car is unavailable which is obviously a great inconvenience especially when travelling for business. It is my experience that the local depot appear to believe they have a closed arrangement and therefore, they do not need to apply the same level of service as is given at their public locations. In general I believe the level of service provided by Hertz is good but if you are considering awarding a business contract I would definately consider the implications hard before commiting to this organisation. Additionally, the opportunity for prefered rental rates with a long term arrangement are not evident; often when Hertz have been unable to deliver a vehicle alternate sources have proven to be cheaper.
