I absolutely love BIG, this film will never go out of fashion!
This film was first aired in 1988, it stars Tom Hanks. The basic story of the film is that Josh Banskin who is a young boy (I'd say about 10 years old) wishes he was 'big'. He then wakes up the next morning as a 30 year old man (Tom Hanks). The film then follows Josh as a man trying to survive in the city, Josh finds his dream job in toy development and his dream woman. Josh later realises that life was so much better as a kid and wishes he was a child again.
This is a short family friendly, feel good move.
Approx Length of film - 104 minutes
Directed by - Penny Marshall
Produced by - James L. Brooks, Robert Greenhut
Written by - Gary Ross, Anne Spielberg
Starring - Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins, Robert Loggia, John Heard

Over the years I've learnt to love The Sanctuary products, the unique scent they have is appealing to me. I've heard many people say that they don't actually like the smell of the sanctuary products.
The Sanctuary Body Scrub has the same scent as the rest of their range. The body scrub comes in a tube and is available in a number of different sizes. It has the famous orange packaging that The Sanctuary use.
I purchased the smaller 50ml size for £2.20 from boots. In my opinion this is expensive for a body scrub.
I didn't feel that this product did the trick for me; I expect a body scrub to scrub off dead skin cells from my skin and leave it moisturised. I found that the little exfoliating grains didn't do the trick for me as they were too delicate. I'd be happier with a little sugar and olive oil from the kitchen. This did leave my body moisturised for a short period but not long enough for me to notice.
If you're after a thorough body exfoliation this is not the product for you, but if you want something just to tickle your skin and just smells nice give it a go.
I received one of these super modern DVD players as a Christmas gift. My husband who is an internet research loving geek selected this one based on online reviews and the price. The main reason this DVD player was selected was for the fact that this DVD can play HD DVD's. The picture quality for this DVD player is super; I've had no issues with the disk skipping.
The size of this DVD player is relatively small; 20cm by 20cm with a depth of 10cm - much smaller than a standard DVD player. The remote control for this DVD is also very small; the battery was included with the remote control.
The downside to this DVD player is the beeps that it makes when you turn it on or off or press any of the buttons on the unit - very annoying.
All in all I love this DVD player for it's picture quality and it's size, I'm pleased with it.
I have stayed in the Manchester Central Travelodge on numerous occasions. The fact I have been back more than once would to me say that this is acceptable accommodation for me!
The Travelodge is a budget hotel chain, cheap and cheerful in my eyes. The Manchester central Travelodge is no different to the rest of them.
What makes the Manchester Central Travelodge stand out for me is the location. A stones throw from Dean's Gate (a street of bars and clubs) and a very short walk from Manchester's main shopping area. What else could a girl want!!
I would say that the location is the best feature here; the rooms at the Travelodge are basic but spacious. The bedrooms that I have stayed in have a double bed, sofa bed, en-suite bathroom, tv and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar - which I've never used.
This Travelodge also has limited car parking facilities, each time I have stayed there I have been lucky enough to have a space. I think the parking costs us approx £7 a night.
I've seen many deals for this Travelodge for as little as £19 a night, this is an absolute bargain! Due to the fab location you won't be spending much time in your room.
I always love the idea of being rewarded for spending money on items that I need in order to survive. Therefore the idea of rewarding the customer when they spend in Tesco is right up my street.
Tesco is the UK's most popular supermarket; on average I'd say that I spend £50 a week at Tesco. I buy all food, toiletries and some clothing from Tesco.
My assumption is that Tesco isn't the cheapest supermarket available in the UK therefore they have to go a little extra in order to attract regular customers.
Each time you go to Tesco or spend online the customer needs to present their clubcard upon paying for the items. For each £1 you spend in Tesco stores, online and at the petrol station you receive 1 point.
At quarterly intervals during the year Tesco sends each customer a statement of their clubcard points and a voucher to redeem these points.
Each Tesco point is worth 1p and can be spent in Tesco stores. Or, you can quadruple the value of these points if you spend them on 'Clubcard Deals'. Clubcard deals include the following -
Exhibitions & Events
Health & Fitness
Restaurants & Bars
By quadrupling the value of your points your money goes much further. My favourite way of spending my points is to change 250 points i.e. £2.50 to £10 of restaurant vouchers.

I received a box set of Sarah Jessica Parker Covet from my other half last Christmas. The box contained a bottle of perfume, a block of solid perfume and some body lotion.
The perfume itself is a light scent, It's hard to describe, I wouldn't say that it's a flowery smell or even an ultra modern scent - definitely a lighter scent than some perfumes. I personally like it and would use it as more of a day perfume.
I'd never actually heard of solid perfume until I was given this set. Solid perfume comes in a container similar to lip gloss, of course this container does not contain lip gloss it contains solid perfume. Solid perfume is of a hard jelly like consistency, you simply use your finger to apply the perfume to the desired areas. I though that this was the best idea since sliced bread, as this solid perfume is small you can carry it in your handbag and use whenever required! Genius who ever invented it! The packaging for this solid perfume is divine, it's the flower/gem from the bottle lid.
The body lotion received in the gift pack also compliments the scent greatly, improving the strength of the scent.
I would be delighted to receive a set like this for Christmas next year!
Vera Wang Princess has been available to buy in the shops for a couple of years. Over the last couple of years I have owned a couple of bottles of this stuff. I always think when buying it and opening the box that the bottle is something from a fairytale, something a 10 year old girl would love to have in their bedroom - not a grown woman like me. I can't put my finger on the fact of why I like it. It must be the smell as the bottle could be greatly matured.
The smell of this perfume is a light spring scent, ideal for everyday wear. I would not recommend this perfume for a special night out, I'd say it's more of a day perfume.
As perfumes go this one is not as expensive as some of the other big names, but still can make quite a large dent in your finances.
There is a range of products available to accompany this perfume - body lotion, shower gel etc. All complement each other nicely. I find after a few hours of wear that this perfume does disappear. When combined with the shower gel and body lotion the scent does last longer, but definitely not all day!
If you want a light scent in a fairy tail bottle this is the perfume for you. Your dressing table will look like a 10 year old's!
I'd like to share my latest craze with you - tesco couscous.
Couscous are small granules of dried semolina, originating from Mexico. Couscous is enjoyed all over the world.
Couscous bought from the average supermarket has been pre steamed and then dried. Couscous is cooked by adding boiling water; the small couscous granules swell to three size their original size. With the average bag costing less than a £1 this is a cheap way to eat.
I enjoy couscous with a salad for lunch most days. I live to flavour my couscous with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
I cup of couscous has 176 calories and 0.3 grams of fat. Couscous contains no cholesterol. I'd therefore say it's healthy.
This is my favourite couscous recipe -
200 grams of couscous
3 table spoons of chopped coriander
½ small onion
Juice of a lemon
2 table spoons of sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
To cook, simply cover the couscous in boiling water twice it's original size, cover and leave to stand for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes add the remaining ingredients and enjoy!
I've only seen series one and series two of Ugly Betty therefore I can't comment on series three.
Ugly Betty is a US comedy that's shown on Channel 4 following a geeky girl called Betty that lands a job at a fashion magazine.
I absolutely love Ugly Betty, I find Betty at a character hilarious in her ways. Her situation within the magazine is hilarious as she's so different from everyone else there. I suspect that most of us women can see ourselves in Betty in some way or another!
I find how the authors have combined different story lines from a man becoming a woman, an illegal immigrant, death, love triangles and day to day life at mode magazine is fab!
I have found the idea of Ugly Betty to be very similar to the book 'The Devil Wears Prada', I wonder if there is any connection?
I can't wait to watch series three once it's out on DVD.
My other half and I stayed here for a 7 night stay in October 2006. This hotel is nicely located in between the hustle and bustle of the lively part of town and the more upmarket part where the nicer restaurants are.
The rooms are quite modern and adequately equipped with two single beds, nice clean bathroom, sofa bed etc
The staff on reception aren't the kindest people I have ever met, the queues at reception did get quite long at times.
The pool area is lovely; the pool is a salt water pool. There were plenty of sun lounges available when we were there. But, at peak time I would probably think that sun lounges could be quite hard to get hold of.
The food at this hotel was not the best. On a couple of occasions I couldn't find anything I could eat in the buffet style dinner they served and I'm not a fussy eater! I found the quality of the meat not to be good.
Due to the food and not so helpful reception staff I don't think I'll be returning to this hotel.
I came across this gem of a chocolate bar in my local petrol station, I was hungry at the time and therefore needed something to fill a hole. Kit Kat chunky is a large bar of chocolate (about the same size as a Mars Bar).
This chocolate bar consists of a wafer that's covered with smooth peanut butter, and then a generous layer of milk chocolate. When you bite into it you'll get a mouthful of wafer, peanut butter and chocolate.
I personally loved this chocolate bar, I found the taste to be quite similar to M&M peanuts (I wonder why!?), but with a wafer texture.
I can't imagine how many calories/sat fat there is in this but who cares, it's an indulgence that we should have from time to time.
This did the job in filling the hole I had in my stomach, I'll definitely be going back for another quite soon.
I always use tesco.com for my shopping. I find that the website is easy to use, I particularly like the way that it links your online account in with your clubcard. Therefore if you go to a tesco store and buy items and then use your clubcard those items will be presented to you for selection on the website! These items are located in a section with all the items you have previously purchased. This saves time when shopping. All you need to do is click on the items you need to add to your basket. When done all you do is 'checkout' and pay.
Usually I can select the delivery slot that I want; sometimes I can even select a same day slot which is fantastic!
Delivery charge ranges from £4 to £6; the drivers are always helpful and bring the items into my kitchen for me. If items are out of stock I have always found the substitutes to be appropriate.
I always find money off codes to use on the moneysavingexpert website. This usually saves me £5 on £50 of shopping.
Moneysavingexpert.com is one of my favourite websites. This website is aimed at saving you money! It has guidance on all aspects of finances from mortgages, cars, supermarkets, credit cards loans etc
This website has numerous forums with thousands of active users who share tips and tricks on how to save money. These forums also contain members who are supporting each other when re-paying their debts.
You can sign up to the moneysaving expert newsletter - this weekly newsletter sends you all the latest deals that are available on loans, credit cards, also where to find money off coupons and deals.
I always use the moneysavingexpert website when I use tesco.com for grocery shopping - I always find a money off code to use. This usually saves me £5 on £50 of shopping. I also found through this website that pizza hut are giving away 50% off vouchers in certain areas of their website! Bargain!
I can guarantee you that you'll find a way of saving money with this website.
Carden Park is a 5 star hotel and is located near Chester. The hotel has an onsite golf course, swimming pool, spa, two restaurants and a bar. The hotel also has a number of function rooms available for functions and weddings.
I have stayed in this hotel three times and absolutely love it's location and facilities. The rooms I have stayed in have a king size bed, huge bath, flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities etc
I have dined in the restaurants, the main restaurant servers high quality food and wine. The second restaurant/bar has equally high quality food but of a different nature i.e. more bar food than a restaurant.
I have used the pool many times and have found it to be warm and clean.
This hotel is a 20 minute drive from Chester where you can go shopping, visit the zoo or just walk the canals.
I'll definitely go back!
I can't tell you how much I love my ugg boots. I have two pairs of UGG boots, a pair of short black ones and a pair of tall brown ones. I've had both pairs for over two years - they are worn nearly every day in winter. My uggs have been soaked in the rain and have been through mud - both pairs still look like new.
I definitely think that they are worth the money. I bought both of my pairs from ebay US, where they are much cheaper.
I wear mine with skinny jeans, tights, dresses and skirts. They go with everything.
Earlier this year I went to Australia, I was very interested to see that these UGG boots are not worn by Australians. They were only available in tourist stores! I was disappointed not to find any bargains. I think the US is the best place to find bargains!
