Now, I'm by no means a photographer but, like everyone in this day and age, I take hundreds of pictures on my iPhone so I decided to but a 'nice' camera.
From what I'd seen, Canon or Nikon was the way to go. I didn't do much research but this seemed like the best camera for me. And it's pink.
It's easy to set up and seems very sturdy. It fits comfortably in my coat pocket and isn't heavy or bulky. I've found that using the more 'advanced' settings drains the battery quite quickly - I doubt you could take this on holiday for a week or two and not have to take a couple of sets of spare batteries.
When using the zoom, the lens extends which is novel although it extends quite a way and makes the camera look odd if you zoom in the furthest.
It's easy to focus on a certain point and the camera doesn't get accidentally turned on in bags etc due to the recessed on/off switch. The video function is of high standard and you can use full zoom during shooting which I've not seen before on a camera.
Face recognition is good if the lighting is good. It can recognise up to 35 faces in a single frame.
The screen is high resolution and is very clear, ergo you can tell your image quality is excellent.
For it's price, it's one of the better cameras on the market.
I bought a MacBook Pro due mainly to the fact students in the UK receive a pretty big discount on Apple computers and I needed a new, more portable, faster laptop.
I definitely made the right decision to purchase a MacBook Pro. In comparison to a standard PC, the operating system provided by Apple is much faster and streamlined and I have had no issues or 'bugs' to date.
I bought the 13-inch model because I needed a computer that was easily portable.. The only problem with it now is that since everyone seems to want bigger laptops, I struggle to find nice cases and bags for it.
Aesthetically, the MacBook is very pleasing. It's predominantly silver with a black border around the screen. I rarely suffer from glare on the screen although the laptop itself does get fingerprinted easily and often which is a pain to get off.
The built in camera is superb and I love the backlight on the keyboard.
The speakers are below the keyboard which is strange and there don't appear to be vents so sometimes the base gets very hot.
The screen, although small, is still fantastic for watching HD films and streaming TV on.
Battery life is beyond anything I ever had on a non-apple laptop, it has no problem lasting a good 4 hours being used for music, internet access and word processing at the same time.
I recently forced my boyfriend into buying this due to the sheer fact it makes me melt..
Now, this isn't going to be a standard 'it smells good' review, because I'm a girl, I'm not the one wearing it.
But, it does smell pretty darn good. It has an almost feminine overtone which fades to a musky undertone which is unlike any mens fragrance I've smelt before. Not only that but the smell is that pungent that one little spray at 7:30am is still evident at 7:30pm.
I'm not alone in it making me weak at the knees, many of my female friends have a similar reaction which can never be bad for a guy.
I see no problem with the bottle myself but my boyfriend does think it looks 'cheap and tacky', which I can understand. A standard glass square would have been better than pulling out cheap metaphorical packaging.
I love Lush and everything it stands for and have been wanting to try out one of their lip scrubs for a long time as I suffer from very chapped lips - especially in winter.
Now, I'm a bit of a chocoholic and I love mint so this seemed the obvious choice for me and boy oh boy was I happy.
I've been using this teeny pot of goodness for almost 3 months now pretty much every day.. Morning and night.. And I have only just hit the 'glass half empty' point. It's starting to dry out a little, which is annoying, but I guess that maybe they don't intend people to drag out the usage time like I do.. Oops.
My lips are in much better condition and I barely suffered at all this winter and I'm pretty sure it's thanks to this product. It tastes amazing, too good for something that shouldn't really be eaten, which encourages you to use it more and theres no mess left behind like other scrub type products.
Well done Lush! This is definitely worth the price tag.
I'm in love with Chanel lipstick. There, I said it. Although it comes with a somewhat hefty price tag, I don not regret buying my Chanel lipstick. I have it in a dark red, although it doesn't deviate too far from my actual lip colour and it never fails to make me smile, make my face look brighter and my teeth look whiter.
It's really easy to apply, even straight from the 'tube' and it lasts ages - I've known my last 6 hours without needing to be reapplied and I was eating and drinking and talking a lot during those 6 hours. It's a really nice creamy formula too that doesn't dry out your lips or accentuate any chapped areas.
What is, for me, the best selling point of this lipstick is the hard-wearing tube. I'm someone who likes to throw their 'lipstick of the day' into my handbag and know it's going to survive.. The casing is very hardy and pretty impossible to break.
I'm a keen Soap and Glory enthusiast so when this came out I bought some pretty sharpish.. Their body washes are not overly pricey compared to their other products and this adheres to that statement.
The smell is absolutely gorgeous. It's like the Refresher sweets that you used to get as a kid but unfortunately the smell doesn't stick around too long on the skin. The bottle however, lasts ages. I've had mine almost 2 months and barely used a third. It's best used with a shower puff or a sponge as you get the most out it that way but I have been known just to use it straight onto the skin which is slightly wasteful and it's not very foamy.
I have quite sensitive skin so I'm always a bit concerned when using this kind of product that seems heavily scented but luckily I seem to have avoided having any adverse reactions to it.
In all, it's a good buy. Good value for money and smells divine first thing in a morning - my boyfriend loves it too.
