I just love Zoflora. Having three dogs and a baby in the house can sometimes be, lets just say interesting to say the least! We have twelve paws, six feet which means a lot of cleaning! Firstly I have to say until more recently , yes the packaging of the old spring bouquet did make it look very old fashioned, however old fashioned is good. This product has been around for years. I only knew about it on recommendation from a customer in my local chemist where I work. Its highly concentrated, dilution of 1 in 40! So its probably a good idea to use rubber gloves when cleaning with a strong product like this. I empty the required amount into a little spray bottle , then add some warm water. It's amazing how long it lasts. You can use it just about anywhere, like animal crates, work surfaces, around the bathroom and floors. I even use it for my sons potty. Its the versitility and smell that score all the high points, not only does it make your house smell gorgeous, it kills 99.9% bacteria too. Now there are about six scents on the market and the packaging is very pretty. I thought of trying the cinnamon one around Christmas time. The product retails from around £1.33 to £3.99 dependent on which size of bottle you buy. Most major supermarkets stock a good choice of the varying scents. The old ones really are the best!!
In the past I have had several toothbrushes both manual and electric. My dentist actually recommended this product a while ago as he explained the concept of the rotating and occilating features and compared to that of a manual toothbrush. basically this toothbrush cleans your teeth in a much more efficient way. The toothbrush itself comes with an additional head and a mais charger. Once fully charged it lasts about 5 days. It cleans brilliantly and the head is small enough to reach hard to access areas. personally I love the timing feature on the toothbrush as it beeps after 30 seconds which allows you to move onto another area. Its recommended that you brush for two minutes altogether. The only thing I did notice was that my gums started bleeding quite a lot but when I asked the dentist she said that was fairly common. Ok now for the slight problem area, replacing the heads! As I said this can be a problem as braun are constantly bringing out newer versions. I stocked up on a few replacements from my dentists little shop but working in a chemist, I get customers enqui ring and having this problem time and time again. For the good results you see its well worth the money retailing at around £35.00. Its widely available in most dental practice stores and online. Just remember to buy some extra heads.
Robitussin chesty cough medicine is an over the counter pharmacy product, so you have to ask the counter assistant or pharmacist for it. This is just to double check you are firstly suitable to take the product for example if you are taking any other medicine that could cause a reaction or you could be pregnant. Secondly to make sure you actually need a chesty cough bottle and not another product within the Robitussin range. Basically what you really need to know is that this company produce cough medicine that actually does work! Its perhaps not as well marketed in comparison to other brands, but for me it has the best result. The packaging has no fancy logo's or claims, it's straight to the point, clearly stating what it does. Which is to help loosen the chesty cough, and allow it to break down. It is also non drowsy and sugar free. Sometimes if you have been coughing a lot, your chest area gets really sore, and this brings about great relief. You will pay anywhere from £2.70 to £3.99 depending on where you shop, it's a widely available product and you will probably find the larger pharmacies cheaper than little local ones. Really really good, I always use Robitussin as all their cough bottles are excellent.
Oh my goodness I have really mixed reviews on this Dettol hands free soap dispenser. Ok I will start by describing the packaging, its really unique looking and quite attractive, with a simple curvy figure it looks like something years ahead of its time. It comes in an outer plastic box which differs depending on which fragrance you have opted for. This one is pleasant cucumber which lingers even when rinsed. The concept is that once you have visited the bathroom you can wash your hands with ease, not needing to actually press a pump to dispense the soap. You simply place your hand under the lid part and it does it all for you. This is to stop the spread of germs. Well to be honest, yes I suppose technically it does the job, although it sort of drools out and makes a bit of a mess around the sink area. The actual soap does have a lovely fragrance but tends to leave my skin a little dry and tight feeling. In my opinion though to be honest once you have washed your hands you dry them, then open the door, then go and do what ever else you were doing, which means touching millions of bacteria. Lovely idea but for the start up cost of £9.99 its simply just too much money. I prefer a good old fashioned bar of Dettol soap!
We have now had our Beko Fridge/Freezer for almost two years. It's proved itself to be reliable and we think really good value for money. We bought ours from Littlewoods for £499 - however there is money off in the sale and its now £389. It is very modern in the silver, however it also has a white option. It is originally taller than i had imagined, but its still easy to reach all the shelves, and i am 5ft 4ins. It is very stiff to pull open for those sneaky little fingers who might want to help themselves to a midnight snack! Comes as standard with a great 2L water dispenser, which is very handy as your water is always kept cool. It is A class energy efficient and frost free so no need to be chipping away at ice! There are a few little snags in my opinion though that pull my rating down a little. We have found a lot of condensation build up in the fridge compartment, which is due to a constant blockage of sludge in the channels. I looked this up and you have to plunge the little hole to clear the channel, then it seems to be ok again - for a short while! I do find I have to do this a lot. There is a great fast freeze large top drawer, but all the doors on the freezer seem to be very flimsy. My second drawer tray has actually cracked. Overall a great fridge freezer, with more than enough capacity for a family of four.
Wow this amazing and intensive skin moisturiser and protectant is certainly one of the best around. I used to fly as cabin crew and it's certainly a favourite with the community. It can be used everyday but in tiny quantities as it is very concentrated. Its not like a normal moisturiser that comes out as fluid or cream, I would describe it as more of an oil based formula which has a more solidified feel to it. It protects your skin especially in cold weather conditions, when the skin becomes dry or chapped and can also be used as a moisturiser for sunburn. One of the things i like about the product is its versitility. It can be used all over the body, useful as a quick revival for chapped hands or lips. I used to put it under the eye area before bedtime. Even though its fairly greasy it does absorb and is better to be used sparingly. It has become so popular that it is widely available from most large department stores such as Debenhams, and sometimes you get a little free treat with it. Its also available online and in the major high street chemists such as Boots. It retails around £22.00 but if you shop around on comparison websites you will probably find it a little cheaper. Remember if you buy online be sure it's free delivery as this may bump the price up a little. The packaging is lovely and in keeping with the rest of the Elizabeth Arden range. Clean looking and bright. The tube is relatively small with a content of 50ml. It really does last a long while though. A glamorous looking complexion is achived in an instant.
If you have read my review on Dermalogica exfoliating brush then you will see how much I recommend using this product alongside it. Dermalogica was founded in 1986 in America, and basically set out to develop a brand of skin products that did not contain irritants such as alcohol and lanolin. This facial wash is a clear gel like formula which creates a lovely lather. Personally I wet my face first apply a pea size drop of the gel, as it it concentrated it a little goes along way. Then i work in to a nice foam and start gently brushing in small circles. Just rinse off with luke warm water, I follow this with a cold splash of water to close the pores and pat gently to dry the face. Its packaging looks quite basic, but I actually think it also looks professional. As its creating no fuss products, keeping it simple give's the best results, so maybe the packaging reflects this. I have sent away for some free samples for their other products, free samples are available from http://www.beautyflash.co.uk. In my opinion I actually thought it was a great idea to actually go to a professional salon and get some advice first as. I went along to the actual Dermalogica store in Kingston Upon Thames, where the advice was excellent. The products are quite expensive this special cleansing gel starts at £8.45 for 50ml upward to £32.99 for 500ml. As i previously mentioned though it is concentrated so it will last.
Little angels are a lovely well known brand that belong to Asda. The products are all specially formulated to be Hypoallergenic and no tears formulated. The baby bath comes in a large 750ml bottle and is blueish in color. It has lovely packaging and has won a mum and baby award in 2009 for its gentle formula. We have tried this a few times and its smells gorgeous, not as long lasting a fragrance compared to other well known brands but just as good. It is £1.47 or 2 for £2.50 at the moment in Asda. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that it would not lather up that well, I always feel my son is cleaner somehow if there is some foam there. I think this is why we went through it a little quicker. It's baby bath, but as its gentle we used it as a wash also. Overall lovely product and good range of products that match such as the shampoo and body lotion. It pours very freely so just watch you don't accidently pour half the bottle into one bath!
This is hilarious, I think I actually enjoyed it more than my son at the time, who was around eight months old. It has bright attractive colours, numbers and textures all over to help promote your babies development. It also has a rolling motion, which my son was terrified of. I have to say its a great educational toy and my friends son loves his. I tried re-introducing this again when Alex got older but he has shown no interest. It has two settings for the volume and a lovely ladybird that spins around on top. Personally i think that it depends on the child and his/her interests its reasonably priced at around £11.00 on Amazon, which is good value for money as it has so many different and fun lights and sounds. My son is basically only interested in wheels and footballs! I am actually having a giggle to myself as we have a eight month old border collie who just adores this toy. She presses all the buttons and chases it when it starts rolling. Very funny to watch. So if your child does not take to it a puppy will!
Ouch - well if you have read my review recently posted on the white tiger balm my back is still sore! I have just bought this today as it's supposed to be extra strong. It is the same price as the white balm - widely available for around £3.99. The packaging is very unique and pretty and the only difference really (externally) is the red background. So i took it out of the packet when i got back to the car and instantly loved the smell, it is much more cinnamon based than the white balm and smells sweeter, not quite as strong as the menthol. When you apply the white balm you get, within a few minutes a warming sensation, with this however there was no relief. There was just nothing. I don't think that its not working, you just don't get that same sensation. I found it was this that helped take my mind off the pain - for a while! Love the smell but where's the warming feeling.
This is a relatively new phone to our household around 3 months old. We didn't pay the full price as the phone was processed as s part exchange upgrade. It is presented in a lovely velvety feel box, which contained all the usual accessories such as, the charger, headphones and usb cable. It is an android phone 2.2, its one of the first 3d phones on the market. It has dual core technology. Its a slim phone with a 4 and a half inch screen. It has all the standard functions of an android phone with easy to navigate menus. The sensitivity on the touch screen is excellent. Its very quick at loading games due to the duel core. The 3d technology is amazing but it takes a while and a bit of practice to focus initially. This phone has so many advanced features you could literally read the technical data for a good few hours. Good site to look at is www.lg .com - my husband watched a lot of video footage before choosing this product Great phone we all love looking at our family photos and videos in 3D.
I have just been given this bag as a treat, my husband who works in a well known store in the highlands of Scotland. I don't get spoilt very often, but have injured my back at the moment - and it had reduced in price to £55.00 at the annual sale. Its absolutely gorgeous. It comes in a lovely soft linen bag which stops the soft leather from scratching. As I mentioned the leather is so soft and it smells so nice. Its just an all round perfect size for a bag to use on a daily basis. Just to give you an idea, I can fit in it a packet of tissues, an A5 diary, my make up case, it has a fab pen holder in a great place, just inside the front flap. It also has a zip pocket in this flap, room for most mobile phones. The strap can be neatly tucked away, and is adjustable so it fits securely across the body. All the buckles are well made and firmly attached. It has plenty of separate pockets to keep everything well organized. A real surprise and a lovely treat. This bag can be found at The House of Bruar, but that's quite remote. For a full range of products and this bag try giannicontionline.co.uk/ Amazon also stock it.
I was recommended this product from a friend as she said it was the best high chair she had bought for her son. I thought it looked great, quite old fashioned but looked really sturdy and loved the three in one idea. I bought mine from Littlewoods which retail it at £85.00 very expensive, however if it was going to last i didn't mind paying that price. When the product arrived it was well boxed and looked very attractive. I was surprised a little at the wood though, as it had no varnish on it - which i thought was a bit odd. Its not an easy product to build up, i think if there was two people i would have found it a little easier. Once made up it looked great. When using in the highchair position, it just balances on top of the table base which is sturdy. I i would have preferred some sort of locking device just for piece of mind. It has a wipe clean seat and table, however one of its biggest let downs in my opinion is the wood is very hard to clean and there are large gaps between the edging of the wood and plastic seating. As everyone with babies and toddlers knows food seems to get everywhere and it does not take long before trying to get all the bits out. I then found it started becomming loose and the table was getting wobbly. I tightened it with the keys provided but it just kept becoming loose again after a while. Unfortunately the table is now in the bin, which means i can only use the chair as a little seat. The seat itself could of done with added shoulder straps for very little ones. My little boy is now 20 months and loves his little chair to watch his programes in. Overall i would not recommend this product as the build quality is poor and its difficult to keep clean.
I was exited about testing the Dyson as it the company has a great reputation, especially for their patented cyclonic technology. I actually have not bought this product, as the client I was cleaning for had one in their home. The first thing I noticed about the vacuum was how poorly it was made in my opinion. I will start with the most obvious problem which was the tubing, it had countless bends and every time I turned in another direction the bends would crease stopping the suction. Even if the recommended procedure for storing was followed everyday I would still envisage a problem as the tubing is just not robust enough. There are two disconnection points which allow you to remove the head and handle to allow you to pick up larger pieces of debris and these are very fiddly, both to pull apart and pop back on. Once you have straightened everything out and actually get going the suction is not great, and the head flips too easily back and forth from the roll to flat position. This Hoover is only around 4 months old and it is already displaying problems with the stop/start button, sometimes you need to keep your foot pressed down on it which makes hovering a huge problem. Looks wise it's a lovely design, neat and compact and lovely colour. It's very easy to store away. In my opinion it's a huge disappointment. I don't know the cost and when trying to find out all I see is adverts for parts!! Oh dear. I think I will stick with my Henry vacuum.
The reason behind buying this iron was that I had to borrow a Philips Azure whist staying in a B & B in London. I just could not get over how good this iron was and when I got home decided it was time for a change. I was absolutely sure I was shopping for a Philips Azure as I had asked the owner of the B& B. What I did not realise was the amount of varying models of the iron, and that's when I picked up this one. In my opinion it's nowhere near as good as the one I had sampled, it's very disappointing. It is advertised with a long list of attractive features, but honestly I feel they don't make any difference. I always top up the iron with water, yet when I adjust the level of steam to suit it just is not powerful enough, so I am constantly pushing the steam boost button which after a while gets a bit much. I have taken to the old fashioned way of using a spray bottle as I can't afford to replace it again so soon. Don't get me wrong it does iron; it's just nowhere near as good as the one I had used, so I am comparing it. The linen option is very hot, and as you don't get the constant source of steam you need to be careful as the material can stick a bit to the plate. It's very quick to heat up and cool down and looks very appealing. Think it's now priced around £48.00 so its not all that expensive, however when I looked online it now seems to be unavailable in most stores. Philips are constantly improving there products and may have upgraded this one, but not too sure. In my opinion if it lived up to the long list of beneficial features, such as the continuous steam, steam glide etc, it would of been a better iron.
