I'd say my nails do grow at a decent speed, the only problem is when I feel like they're getting to a nice length they start to peel and break because they're really soft. My mum's used Sally Hansen products for years and she has gorgeous nails so I went ahead and brought some. The instructions say to apply one coat to start with then apply another coat daily which I think is a great idea as I find with products like this if you apply 2 or 3 coats they start to chip really easy.
I've been using this for about a week and already see a massive improvement, my nails are retaining their length, have hardened a significant amount and just generally look a lot healthier so I believe if I keep this up I'll be well on my way to compliment worthy nails and people will be trying to guess if they're real or not!
I bought maximum growth from boots for £4.39 and that may seem a little expensive to some people but I think it's soo worth it especially as the bottle will last you ages.
I think mascara is one of the most essential beauty products as it really finishes off your look and defines your eyes, that's why I'll only settle for the best when it comes to them and am willing to try all to find it.
I heard rave reviews about this mascara mainly for the super sized brush and long lasting formula but was reluctant to pay £15 for it so decided to just ask my aunt to but it for me as a Christmas present as it was only a month away.
I was soo excited to use it and my aunt even came up to my house in the morning so I would have the mascara to use for that day as I love to make as much as an effort as I can on special occasions but having trusted it to make my eyes look amazing on an important day i was severely let down.
This really is the worst mascara I've used, 99p store brands have given me a better look!
First of all the smell is horrendous, as soon as you go to apply it you get a strong whiff of super glue and you're almost inclined to think you may go blind if you poke the wand the wrong way, however I was sure this must be to do with the 'long lasting' quality and went ahead and applied it anyway.
The formula looks super creamy on the brush but then instantly dries to a flaky finish when you put it on, it was horrible I had to remove my eye makeup and start again with a different mascara.
Even having this bad experience first time round I thought well why now try it again on a day where I'll be at home for the most part and yep, I had the very same problem.
Checking again there seems to be as many bad reviews as good out there for this mascara so I guess it's to do with the individual and their preferences but I'd never go near it again!
My mum shops at Estee Lauder a fair bit so has gathered up a decent amount of free samples and of course being a girl I regularly rummage through them to see what I can steal (she doesn't mind :P).
Among the lotions and potions I came across a 1.5ml sample of the Sensuous fragrance described as 'Warm. Luminous. Feminine.A modern new definition of sensuality. Confident and elegant.A rich sensuous core of Molten Woods and Amber, surrounded by atmospheric florals, Pepper, Mandarin Orange Pulp and Honey' it sounded delicious so I went ahead and sprayed it on my wrists and neck.
Now I'm not usually a fan of Estee Lauder fragrances as they tend to smell like something an OAP would wear (no offence!) just generally overpowering and not my style, I've noticed that these fragrances tend to be the ones that are a dark yellow in colour whereas their more subtle fragrances are pretty much colourless or just have a slight hint of colour.
Back to this particular fragrance as soon as I applied it I was overwhelmed as it literally makes you smile inside, the description fits perfectly! As cheesy and dramatized as it may sound I could actually imagine being in the woods surrounded by flowers with that exact smell in the air plus the hints of pepper really stand out giving your senses that extra tingle.
If it was based on my own opinion I'd say the smell didn't last too long maybe only a couple of hours but I get compliments on how nice I smell all day when wearing it and now I've realised that my nose just gets used to the scent quickly and it does actually last.
Overall I'd say this is a must have if you want a really classy but fun fragrance which is subtle yet noticeable and the only disadvantage is the price at £34.75 on Amazon for a 30ml bottle which is a little expensive but to be honest I'm sure it would last a decent amount of time as you only need to apply one spray to each area.
Paris Hilton has always intrigued me probably since her and Nicole Richie started their hit show 'The Simple Life', I'm guessing it's because I secretly envy their lifestyle and the luxury's they own wondering how I can grab a slice of my own fortune. So when I noticed browsing the Amazon website that she'd released a book I had to have it!
From the title 'Confessions Of An Heiress' you subconsciously assume it's going to be filled with secrets from her scandalous life and anyone half as nosy as me would want to be in on the goss! So I ordered the book and waited excitedly for it to arrive, reading it straight away when it did.
If you're looking for a tell-all then this ISN'T the book for you and even though I automatically thought it would be I was just happy it was a book about Paris.
It's filled with more than 300 amazing photos of her, her family and friends plus she gives you hints on how to life your own life in true heiress style such as fashion/beauty do's and don'ts .
What I like about this book is that it really gives you a behind the scenes look into her life almost as if you've lived alongside her and you realise that despite however the media portrays her she really is a decent down-to-earth young lady.
'Whether you're sporting sassy waves, full curls or just softened natural texture, Texture My Way Curl Keeper Moisturising Hair Lotion quenches dry hair with a healthy dose of well need moisture. Your style immediately snaps back to life!'
-that's what they claim on the bottle and it couldn't be more true!
A month ago I shaved my head because my hair was badly damaged due to relaxing and I really wanted to go natural. Before the big chop I decided I was going to do everything in my power to have long, luscious hair like I did before I became a slave to the relaxer so went to the ethnic beauty supply store to stock up on products and came across this, I LOVE organics products in general so I had to have it and I can definitely say I wasn't let down!
My natural hair is very coarse and dry or 'nappy' as some would call it but as soon as I rub the silky moisturiser into my hair it feels and looks amazing, not greasy like most moisturisers make it.
Already in a month my hair's grown more than I could have imagined it would and I reckon it's all down to the curl keeper!
As part of my routine I apply this in the morning and before I go to bed at night to keep my hair moist, I also use it as a leave in conditioner after shampooing and conditioning.
Curl keeper is now a must have in my strict selection of hair products and I would recommend it to anyone with dry curly hair.
