Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is probably one of the most memorable CoD games ever released. It brought with it, outstanding graphics, gameplay, a fully compelling storyline which is still going strong to this day as well as a really addictive Online Multiplayer mode. The story of this game follows the main characters of you, 'Soap' as well as Captain Price and another character who goes by the name of Gaz, who undoubtably became every players favourite character in the game as they progressed. The story is widely based around acts of terrorism of which your aim in the game is to find and stop terrible acts from taking place. You'll find yourself in the game stealthily raiding enemy ships in the middle of the ocean to find manuscripts of terrorist actions, as well as going back in the past to play as Captain Price in his younger years investigating the horrors of what is now left of Chernobyl and the nuclear disasters which unfolded there to take out and assassinate highly wanted terrorists. After completing the main story of the game you unlock a rather fun 'Arcade Mode' in which you can play though a variety of different missions which you have previously completed and replay them with more of a challenge to rack up as many points as you can with a handful of lives. One thing i really enjoyed about this game was the fun of discovering and activating 'Intel'. These intels were laptop type 'easter eggs' scattered around the map in each mission where each one consisted of around 2 or 3. Once you have collected these intels you could use them to change the colour schemes of your game to things like Noir or Sepia etc. as well as activating Slow Motion anytime within the game and also a 'No-clip' type mode of which reloading was not necessary. I found these modes really quite fun as they built up the replay factor of the campaign in this game dramatically and always made you want to just play one or two missions kicking ass in slow motion, or even making enemies burst into tyres! Multiplayer is really exciting. With a vast array of game modes to choose from it was always hard to get bored while playing. With classic game modes like, Free-For-All, Team Deathmatch and Search and Destory, Infinity Ward also includes many new kind of gamemodes to keep the fun flowing. With this online mode, every kill, capture, killstreak and match bonus you get accumulates as Exp. which allows you to rank up your levels online to unlock new weapons, Perks (Buffs), Weapon Camouflages and weapon attatchments. Once again Infinity Ward compensates for the fact that some players may find themselves getting bored after they reach the maximum level of 55 in the game. So they included a new feature which becomes available once you achieve the highest level, Prestige Mode. This mode allows you to start again at level 1 in the online universe and a know what you're thinking, "That's a bit unfair!" but this mode is optional, and if you do choose to enter it, you will earn a new badge every time you prestige. With 10 prestiges in total at 55 levels per one, that's a total of upto 550 levels for you to enjoy earning while dominating the battlefield! Or not.. Like me. However, online may sound really cool and awesome and it really was! But i recently went onto multiplayer and found that this game was now Modded (Modified) by illegitimate who have in a sense 'Hacked' into the game and can alter the online players stats, screen, challenges etc. Some players may find fun in these kinds of 'Modded' lobbies however do bare caution as Game Tampering goes against the Terms Of Service especially on Xbox 360 so be careful! As landing yourself in one of these games could cause your Live account to become banned for a certain amount of time! but overall this game is amazing, and definitely be one that stays close to my heart with an outstanding story mode with a vast array of hidden extras that will keep you coming back for more for years to come. It's a shame about the Multiplayer though!:(
Everyone needs a pen from time to time, whether that's for taking phone numbers, addresses, names or even for asking for someones autograph! These pens are lightweight and can easily slip into a coat or trouser pocket and with the assorted colours of three black, 3 red and 4 blue these would be ideal even for teachers to lend to pesky students who are always stealing them and also make a really good companion for markings due to the inclusion of the red pens. We always keep a pack of these pens in the glove box of our car along with a notepad for taking things down because we always find that this is the main place where we need one! However i would like to point out that i have found that one or two of these pens can be a little 'scratchy' on paper if you know what i mean and a couple of them ran out of ink rather quickly, however saying this it could be because of them being kept in the car throughout the winter etc. The value of these pens is remarkable. Coming in at just 4 pence each (10 pens at 40 pence a pack) these are a bargain! I can't believe how they manage to sell them this cheap. I can't really give an overall review on how long these last for as i just pick one up but i will say that they are all still working despite the couple of pens that ran out due to the way they are stored (in the car) but i cant really complain at the price of them! No pens have 'exploded' or leaked on me yet (Touch wood) and they all seem like a good investment especially since you can pay up to £2.00 for a pack of 4 pens which do the same thing, write! I would definitely recommend that you pick up a few packs of these for your journey if you're going anywhere.
Having been a badminton enthusiast for many years now and having getting tired of renting Shuttlecocks from my local sports center to play around 8 months ago, i brought 3 tubes of these from Amazon, and i have to say there is a massive difference between Feathered Shuttles and those with the plain plastic skirts! These shuttles speed up the game drastically and ensure that you are always kept on your toes when you see one of these flying towards you. These are the only shuttles i have and ever will buy, as these retain quality for a good 2-3 fast paced, hard hitting games. With feathered shuttlecocks you will see a massive difference in your badminton games and how you play. The power that you can get behind these are phenomenal and you really feel like you're packing a proper punch when knocking these back over the net. Each tube comes with a dozen (12) shuttles each, which i think is a great amount as i play once a week and most of the time one tube can last up to 2 months each. Many other feathered shuttles may be cheap and seem like a better option, but i'm telling you they're not! many cheap feathered shuttlecocks break and are not sturdy enough to ensure that the skirt stays intact and you'll see feathers flying everywhere while you're playing. Your play will be interrupted continuously with the distraction of you thinking you've just hit a bird out the sky, and the shuttlecocks not flying properly due to three or four missing feathers. With these Carlton GT4 shuttles you'll rarely see this any when you do, all you have to do is switch it out for another in the tube which will last a good 2-3 matches once more. The price for these shuttlecocks may seem expensive compared to other types however this is because they are either not feathered or of a low quality. For a tube of 12 Goose Feathered Shuttlecocks on Amazon is currently £13.99 which is excellent value and works out to £1.17 per shuttlecock. These are of a very good quality and are extremely sturdy that will ensure your badminton enjoyment for a long time. You'll never want to go back to plastic ones again (despite them lasting long) as these goose feather shuttles will improve your play style and improve your reaction time for a more enjoyable badminton experience. An affordable price price makes these excellent value for money! Tip: Many people think that when the shuttle skirts on these go deformed they have to be thrown away. Wrong! simply pull the feathers back into shape (as long as they aren't broken) to keep playing with them for longer!:)
With its super low price with a whole range of colours to choose from this is something you can't not own! This portable speaker is great for people on the move who need to give presentations containing sound files or if you just want to chill out with your friends listening to music without using terrible phone speakers or crummy headphones. I know that most people will be thinking when looking at this product, 'I bet the sound quality is awful and tinny.' but it's not! It may not be production studio quality but these portable speakers are a great piece of kit that can fit in any bag or just to be slipped away to be used where appropriate. The speakers are powered from its internal battery pack and can easily be charged with the included USB cable. battery life is good however anything can be improved on, right? i found that the charge in it usually lasts around 10 hours which may be a problem if your travelling a lot without electricity. This little speaker set-up will easily please a small room of people but dont expect low basses and superb sounds. I really enjoy this piece of kit and at such a low price you cant go wrong at all! Connectors are all good and fit into the standard 3mm jack in most phones and MP3 players, as well as laptop and desktops.
I used to play tennis quite regularly a few years ago and decided to buy a new racket and a few tennis balls since they are pretty useful to have if your going to play this sport! They arrived quite quickly and i'd ordered 3 tubes, and i have to say i was impressed, they were much better than the ones i had previously used at my old tennis club as these seemed to almost glide over the net as they appeared to travel faster and further. I got about 4-5 hours of peak performance out of them however i will still use all of them as i'm not really that fussy about the quality of them after a few hours of use of out them and once they are a bit battered they are great to give to children to play and throw with. Even after this i'm sure they would also make a great dog toy to throw about with them and this may discourage any puppies from chewing shoes if they have these as a replacement. They bounce well and haven't split on me yet. Pricing was good however i do feel they could be better, however saying this i recently say on Amazon that a pack of 3 tubes of Head tennis balls was i think £8.99? Wish i'd of seen that earlier! Great balls (Careful) bounce well and are still going to good use for a knock about with my friends and family. Would definitely buy these if your looking about for any. Much better than any Poundland 'Professional' Ones!
Gears of War Judgement is the Prologue to the massively acclaimed Gears of War series. In this brand new gears experience you will be encountering how the massive invasion of the Locust attacked and how the likes of Baird and Cole find themselves where they are in later games. Judgement offers fresh new ideas from the developers to deliver to us an immersive story that leaves an epic impression. With shorter missions and the new inclusion of the 'Declassify' mode, you can experience a harder gameplay style with set weapon out-loads, time trial modes, harder enemies, more enemies, melee only, reduced vision, weather affecting movement as well as many more. This adds for a more objective based scenario within the levels that keep you coming back for more to try and complete them to help unlock more stars which equates to more goodies including unlockable characters, weapon skins and the extra locked campaign, Aftermath. With the new enemy spawning system enemy encounters are vastly more frequent and allow you to be looking round corners as well as behind out every step of the way along your Judgement journey to make sure you wont be ambushed. Cutscenes are beautiful despite a post-war occurring, and they all seamlessly link in with the storyline which is a bonus as with many games i play, i get lost with the story from them. Revives appear to be better and even if you aren't playing on 'Co-op' mode team-mate AI's always seem to put your safety through revives first. They are also useful with fighting off locusts and always seem to be getting more kills that you most of the time. The mulitplayer more is generic. usual Player Vs Player mode with character selections and the ability to level up to unlock more. But i did find this thoroughly enjoying due to the fact that the Locust had a load of different character selection options in-game that don't require a particular level to use. You simply just gain points in a match and once you reach the required points, you can spend them on unlocking a character for a life. One thing that i didn't like about the mulitplayer though was the fact that there was only 4 options for the COG's team as apposed to the locusts' 8. COG characters were too boring with the usual, Soldier, Medic, Engineer, Scout much like those found on Team Fortress 2. This is my only niggle at the mulitplayer but other that that i loved it! Overall i feel that even thought Gears Of War: Judgement didn't have the usual Gears feel to it with its new spawning and fast paced gameplay, but i think this was for the better. This was knowhere near as good as Gears Of War 2 or 3 and i do feel that this is more of a 'Sell Out' game for producers to make more money. But it does clear up the story towards the beginning more and the replay value of the levels made be come back for more with the game.
The boost bar really is one of the most delightful, chocolaty and even most expensive chocolate bars found in local post offices and supermarkets. With these bars you certainly don't get ripped off and i believe that this is one if the few bars of chocolate that actually for fill my hunger needs. The wrapping of the bar is recognised by its very manly looking shiny blue wrapper with the word 'BOOST' taking up a large majority of the whole product. The rest of the wrapper contains nutritional information and facts with the usual notices on eating healthily and the usual GDA 'Treatwise' labels. The flavour of this particular product is very distinctive to the chocolate bar and is easily recognisable by its crumbly outer chocolate shell and also with the caramel-ly glucose goodness surrounding the inner chocolate piece. there are a lot of flavours to be experienced with boost bars however to many of these could potentially be bad for you with just one bar of this chocolate is a massive 303 calories and 17g of fat! Prices for one of these bars are some of the most expensive i've seen along side many of the other chocolate bars available in the sweets isle. However you can buy them in bulk on the cadbury's site (there are probably other, cheaper places elsewhere) with a box of 48 for £22.88, including V.A.T which works out to be 0.56p per chocolate bar. This is the average price for a boost bar in most shops, however if there are any offers on instore i have seen the larger, duo bars for the same price and the cheapest i've seen the original ones are about 55p in supermarkets and all the way up to 70p in some off licences and post offices. These are great chocolate bars and are really ones to be tried if you haven't before. They are a very unique type of chocolate and i am yet to find any cheap alternative anywhere else of the same quality and taste.
Age Of Empires 2 is an historically based real-time strategy game with a unique style of play within the 'trilogy'. The aim of the game is to advance through a variety of different ages to gain new abilities to complete your main objectives: To gather resources, gain and research higher technology, grow the population of your village and to create an army large enough to take on and wipe out your enemy/enemies as fast as possible. Although the game is quite old it still retains its fun factor and it's one those games that despite the graphics not being as high quality as many of the next gen. consoles like the Xbox 360 or PS3, the fun and excitement you experience when playing this game makes up for all of this and you hardly even notice about the graphics not being 'perfect'. The controls are simple and effective and don't over complicate things as with other real-time strategy games. There are 13 different civilizations within the game to choose from. Ranging from the British to French and from Japan to China settings with their buildings and variety of different soldiers and villagers. With the options to go through the tutorial missions, the long campaign/story mode as well as the options to go online and create your own randomly generated scenarios with the map editors to change the amount of resources you can start with, and where you and the other enemies start on the map. There are cheats available in the game and these cam speed up the games you play drastically if you just want a quick game. As well as this the cheats can make the game more amusing by spawning in Dodge Vipers that shoot cannonballs at the enemy and cause chaos throughout the whole of the enemies towns and they can easily tare through any opponents army. No matter how you chose to play Age Of Empires 2: The Age Of Kings, this game will keep you coming back for more even years after you've stopped playing it. There are all different aspects of fun within the game no matter how you tackle it, whether that's going through the campaign, playing online, or just causing chaos with the large variety of cheats available at your side. If you've ever played any type of real-time strategy game or like the classical medieval style of real-time strategy games then definitely pick this game up on eBay or if a games store near you still sells classic, amazing PC games. Despite this game being released by Microsoft in 1999 i still find time to play and enjoy this game in 2013.
Set in the world of 1950's/60's America, Lucius is about a satanic boy who is the child of the Devil and whose sole aim is to murder whoever his Devil father wishes. The game has a free roam aspect to it, as you have the ability to walk round the stately home without being tied down to any missions. However it is essentially a point, click and find game due to there being a number of clickable options to complete your devilish tasks in a certain way to progress through the story. I would strongly recommend to any religious followers or believers to think again about buying this game, as it follows the satanic followings as well as sacrifices and symbols. This game can get very disturbing so i would highly rely on its 18 rating as i'm sure if the ratings could go any higher, this game would. Gameplay is quite fun although there are many glitches and saving errors that really can spoil the overall game. As you progress through the game you unlock more powers and abilities to help you through the many different levels and missions to progress through the story. With abilities like mind control and telekinesis this game could be closely related to the abilities found in 'Destroy All Humans!' a popular game found on the Xbox and playstation 2. One problem that i have round a lot of people are running into is the fact that you may not be able to play this game if you do not have an internet connection or a steam account, as this game requires Steam activation which some people may not have access to despite this gaming having no multi-player and it being a single player game only. Pricing for this game is very reasonably as it is cheaply priced, £6.99 on Amazon, £8.25 on Play.Com, and provides and interesting storyline with a unique playing style. If they could improve the glitches and overall gameplay i'm sure this game would be rated fairer among reviewers. As well as removing the fact that you need a Steam account with internet connection to play it. I enjoyed playing this game quite a bit, even though a majority of the scenes i did find quite disturbing, and the constant glitching and saving points being poor did put me off this game several times while i was attempting to play it, it is worth giving it a try. I'd decided to play this game after seeing a popular YouTuber 'PewDiePie' play it on his video channel. I'd say, if you're thinking about buying this game, go watch some videos on Youtube to see if the game would we right for you, and to understand better upon whether or not it would be a game you would enjoy playing. Overall it's an Okay game but some scenes can be very disturbing and can play on your religious beliefs while trying to complete the game. Very buggy, not enough save points, but for the money this game is worth it.
We always seem to pick up a few bottles of this diet lemonade every time we go out shopping to Aldi, and we always make sure that we have at least 2 bottle on hand for when guest come round or we need a quick fizzy fix. The packaging for the product looks very high quality considering what the product is and where is comes from, and in my opinion this lemonade looks more professional and of a higher quality than the more popular R. White's Lemonade. The flavour is very lemony and despite it being diet, it still seems kind of sweet and pleasant to drink. I've found that sometimes it can be a bit to fizzy and has caused me to have hiccups after drinking it. (Manly I know..) Pricing is VERY reasonable, and I've seen these bottles be priced at 39p which is better than a cheap 500ml bottle of drench water! which means that you could buy 10 for just £3.90! And this is usually the price for just two 2 litre bottles of Coca-Cola or Pepsi. This really is a great lemonade which i feel is better than a lot of the 'premium' quality bottles. I always have a bottle of this stuff in the kitchen for guests and i think you should too! And at a price like that, you could save a lot of money.
If the bright orange colour of of Fanta Orange doesn't entice you to go buy one of these refreshing a fruity drinks i don't know what will. The bottles are very distinctive to the product, with it's 'squeezed' in neck with the spotted ridges around the side even an empty label-less bottle could be identified as being a Fanta bottle. The product itself is very sweet but very refreshing and fruity. I've always been a fan of Fanta and ordered it most times at restaurants and brought it in supermarkets. I would also like to point out to people who have never drank fanta before that it is a carbonated drink so it is fizzy. The soft drinks are available is 500ml bottles and also 2 litre bottle and are perfect with a nice packed lunch as it complements most foods with a pleasant aftertaste of orange and citrus flavours. I find that Fanta is one of those fizzy drinks that isn't too fizzy. And even when it does go flat after being open a few days, it does stay drinkable as a kind of weak Oasis and is a lot more bearable as apposed to flat Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper. Pricing ranges from around 70p from cheap stores like B&M Bargains (however these prices can fluctuate) and the most i've seen is about £1.80 however this was in a theatre and everyone knows that places like that aim to try and rip people off who may have forgotten their own food. I would recommend have one of these drinks with a light meal as it doesn't fill you up and make you feel uncomfortable with a high amount of fizz. Even after you have finished your meal, this drink always seems to leave a positive and fruity taste in your mouth that will not make your breath disgustingly bad odored if you were to walk into and start talking to a work colleague or friend.
If you'r asking yourself this question you've probably never lived! Polos really are one of the more classic mints around, with its distinctive hole on the middle these sweets really are something to be savored. The sweet minty taste of the classic polo is brilliant for eliminating bad breath after a meal or a drink and with around 15 in a tube these will last you quite a while. The outer packaging shows all of the nutritional information and one tube of polos is only 139 calories which works out at around 9.3 calories per single mint! The foil that protects the product is useful for using as a re-sealant on the mints and you can just twist the end to make sure that none fall out come into contact with any nasties. Polos are great for slipping into your back pocket, into a rucksack or even a hand bag due to them being reasonably sizes to fill in any small gaps that may be lurking in holiday luggage or in any camping equipment. If you have small children polos are perfect for them as many kids don't like the very strong mints as they can burn sometimes and be an irritant to the mouth, however, polos are great if your little one wants something sweet to keep them occupied on a long car journey or at home just 10 minutes from dinner. Most polos are available in tubes on there own for around 45-50p which can seem a tad expensive but they are available in 4 and 6 multipack packets. the packets of 4 are available in most pound and bargain stores and the 6 packets can be found in supermarkets for about £1.50-£2.00 which i believe is very reasonable for a small carry round mint. If you ever pass any polos in a store and you are yet to try them, buy a packet or two and you won't be disappointed with their sweet, minty flavour!
Coca-Cola is the worlds most popular and famous soft drink. With it's famous red and white logo being recognized by 94% of the worlds population, it really is hard not to know about this sugar filled beverage. Bottles of Coca-Cola can currently come in a variety of different sizes to fulfill the consumers needs. In handy 330ml bottles, as well as 500ml, 1.5l and 2 litre bottles they all have the same style of label with the red and white logo and ingredients list. I like the taste of coca-cola as it can be very refreshing served chilled on a warm summers day to quench your thirst. However i do feel that sometimes the drink can be a bit to sweet and it can make my teeth ache. Many would say that diet coke would be a suitable substitution to this although i would also like to complain that this can taste a bit like medicine after drink large amounts of it. pricing is very reasonable on these drinks as they can found with Buy One Get One Free offers in most supermarkets however without these offer some bottles of the 1.5 litre pop can be a bit pricey so a cheaper, store brand product may be a suitable replacement. If you've never tried Coca-Cola before, i would recommend picking up a bottle when you can, as im sure that 94% of the world population with 3.4% of all beverages being drank a day being Coca-Cola can't be wrong!
Freddo's have got to be one of my favourite chocolate bars due to their distinctive taste and small price tag. However it has come to my attention that the good ol' freddo bar is now at an outrageous 20p! I love freddo bars and they really are the iconic chocolate bar of any childhood. The packaging of the freddo bar is slightly different than the one shown above as they now come in a purple packet, from where i come from anyway! This works well with the colours of Cadbury's due to purple being the colour associated with the company, and this also draws the attention of the customer as purple is also a very distinctive colour against many other chocolate bars. The chocolate itself is very good for giving to younger and smaller children for a little snack or treat as they are not too big and will not make your child unhealthy. (Unless they eat a whole box of 60!) These really are an iconic chocolate bar to any adult in their childhood, however i think it would be time for the classic Freddo to revert back to its original size and tasty price of 10p!
I've had this tablet for quite a while now and it still amazes me to this day. The Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1, in my opinion is just as good if not better than apples iPad and this tablet is just a fraction of the price! This Samsung tab comes with 16GB internal memory as well as WiFi capabilities which will you give you the opportunity to go around public places like McDonald's and many popular cafes wirelessly. One thing i don't like about this tablet at the moment though is that is it yet to be released with any 3G or 4G capabilities, which greatly reduces its superiority of that of the iPad and many other tablets of it's kind. The features of this tablet include the well places 2 speakers on either side of the screen to allow for a more pleasant sound experience when playing music or videos etc. without the use of headphones/earphones. The tablet itself is in fact a very slim device, with a 9.7mm deep body it's ideal for slipping into a bag or adding it into a laptop bag when on the go however this is much beefier than the iPad 2 for example due to this being 8.8mm. The tablet comes in both a grey/black colour as well as a limited edition white colour. Both look and feel like a quality build and neither of them feel like they have been made of cheap plastic or materials and the whole of the product weighs around 587g The new Samsung galaxy tab gets shipped out with latest of android, Ice Cream Sandwich (Yes, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)). With a 1 GHz Dual-Core processor this isn't going to blow away the competition on the market at the moment. However with its 1GB of RAM this brings the galaxy tab back up there on the market competition. The front facing camera is initially for Skype and video calls, and taking quick pictures of your pretty face, which leads to why this camera is not fully visually appealing. Around the back of the camera however is a 3.15MP sensor. With no auto-focus or low light setting the pictures you take are really restricted to those outside on a sunny day in a well lit place. There are different effects that make up for this however, like Sepia, Black and white, and negative. There is a very panorama effect within the samsung galaxy tab which can produce some pretty good pictures. The video on the tablet is superb. with the ability to record and capture at 720p with the 3.15mp camera on the back of the device. just stealing the limelight against the galaxy tab 2 is the Transformer Pad 300 which has the ability to record at 1080p! To access the video settings you have to go through the camera app and toggle the switch. I have had a lot of fun with the video as my dog is always doing something crazy and funny which i can just record at the click of a touchable button and capture. Another negative i didn't like with the tab is that it has no auto-focus, zoom capabilities or flash. There are loads of apps to be accessed on the Play store with vaguely the same amount and style of apps as that of Apple's App store. a lot more apps are being made for android systems so just stand by if there is an app on the iPad that isn't yet on the android store. There is a larger range of the price of apps on the play store ranging from 61p and up, which is what i have seen so far. these are cheaper than some of the apple apps as they are roughly about 69p each and up. One thing i like about the Play store is that you can get the high quality premium apps on the app store for free! with just one or two adverts places in here and there. this means that you can save a good sum of money on apps like the Angry birds Trilogy and other apps. I really think that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a really underrated tablet which is being crushed by the 'popular' and 'better' iPads (which are not). Movie playback is great and sound is as good as its going to get on a tablet like this. This is a great tablet and i still really like it. the apps are great and the speed of loading the apps and booting the system up are brilliant. I would really recommend this tablet over that of the iPad as it is something different but still has all the features of apples tablet and can even do flash!! YES! With 720p movie recordings this tablet is even better for YouTubers and video editors as well as skypers and app gamers. BUY IT! :)
