We decided to go on norfolk line because it was the cheapest crossing around bank holiday weekend!. Because we didnt need to check into our hotel in calais till 2pm, we decided to have a look around the town. Its a farely big place, just a tiny bit bigger than calais. It had plenty of shops and little bakeries. We noticed most of the shops were the same as calais. Theres a really nice church and a big clock tower. It was really nice as we saw a wedding there. You can park all around the shop area's for a small parking price. But we parked futher out so it was free. Theres a mini shopping mall with a supermarket inside. We did see a little port full of yatchs and boats, it reminded us of portugal. Which was really nice. Even though we went in august, it was still cold! The weather in north france is a hit or miss. I do like this town, but i much prefer calais, theres alot more to do there. But if you are driving through, deffo go and look.
Stayed at this hotel the bank holiday weekend in August. I booked this online over 3months before i went. The website was really easy to use, and they have lots of hotels all over france and germany. There was two hotels in calias, we stayed at the one near mcdonalds and a mile from cite europe. The other hotel was at coquelles, A bit futher away from calias city centre. It took us ages to find it, as the directions on the hotel website wernt that great. But maybe it was our fault as i didnt print of the hotel location map. It would of helped!. Make sure you do that, as its not that easy to find. We attually saw the other hotel in coquelles, that was alot easy to find. That hotel was a new hotel, it was by sainsburys and auchan. Calais st pierre was located by a mcdonalds, a toy shop, builders shop ( like B n Q ) , few clothes shops and a fosters american bar. The hotel is on a roundabout opposite a car selling place. The hotel looked just like a travelodge and had a securred car park, at night you have to type in a code to get in the car park. Very good, as you know youre car is safe. I booked this hotel for 38euros a night, but when i checked in, the price changed to 41euros. Wasent really fussed, but would of been nice to known that before i went there. The website has now updated it and says that hotel prices may change. Not very good in my eyes, They should just charge you what they say on the internet. We got given a room code, you type this in to get into the room, you also use this code to get into the car park at night and also the front doors are locked fter 10pm, so you enter your room code into a little machine to open the door. Very good, as you know that you are safe. The room was like a box, Had a 3/4 size bed in there, it wasent quite a double!. Had a small television, toilet, shower cubical and a mini luggage storage. Its all you need for a couple of nights stay. We thought we had a problem, we used the toilet and it wouldent flush, so we went to ask for help. You have to fill the toilet up with water, theres a valve connected to the side of the toilet. Never seen one of them before!. Theres Shower gel and shampoo in the hotel aswell. You can pay a extra 5euros each for a breakfast, but i wouldent bother! Its a waste of money. Theres 3 choices of cerial, mircowave scample egg and bacon, orange juice and a crossiant. Next time i will go into calias centre and go to a supermarket, much nicer. The breakfast area was packed and cramped, its not relaxng! The reception is only open at certain times. If you do arrive when its closed. Theres a computer by the front door, where you can pay by card, and you get a room code on there. We didnt use it, but it looked pretty simple. This hotel is a decent cheap hotel, its clean and theres a secure carpark, and thats all we wanted. I would rather of stayed in the other hotel in coquelles though , beacuase it was near buffalo grill!( See my reviews about that place). Check out there website though and you can get come good bargains on there and late deal offers!. I will deffo use this chain again!
I have always had a hotmail account but really only used it for msn messenger. But after getting very frustrated with tiscali email, i have now started to use the hotmail email alot more. Its alot quicker, smarter and much quicker than tiscali. It has alot of email storage and it even clears what they think is for you and they putit into a separate file. I just wish they would do that to all the rest of the advert emails i get. This account is very clear and easy to use. It deletes unwanted mail really quickly and you can easily empty the recycle bin. I feel that the website advertises alot though, but you cant complain as its a extra email address. Unlike my tiscali email, it keeps what i have sent , thats a good thing as then i know where i am up too. In work i dont get to go onto the internet, But at least hotmail works on my mobile internet, unlike tiscali email. I feel its very handy for me when i am on the move. This is a very good 2nd email!
This town is around 1 hour away from calais, and its well worth the trip. This was one of our first stops into belgium. I can see why people call it the venice of the north, its a really nice town.you get to walk through busy squares, lovely and quiet parks , intimate cobbled streets, and do not forget to visit the modest almshouses as well as the imposing patrician's homes! We attually went on a sunday , there wasent many shops open, but it was just great to walk around a quiet town. Theres alot of famous buildings in brugge including The Beguinage The modern Concertgebouw The Old St-John's Hospital The Saint-Salvator Cathedral The City Hall on the Burg square There is plenty of places to park your car, we parked in a free area and just walked in, the train station is a 10 minute walk to the shops. The nearest airport is a hour away in brussels. One thing i did notice about brugge, its expensive. So take plenty of money with you if you want to buy choclate. I would recommend brugge to all people, espically if you are staying in calais. Take a trip to belgium, its not far away and its really pretty and different. Next time i wont go on a sunday, so i can visit all the shops
This album has been out for 5years now, i wasent really into them back then. I always remembered one song they released and i just found it annoying. They then released there second album in 2006, i really go into that album so i decided to see what this one was like. I was really impressed with this album, and i couldent believe i didnt pay more attention to it. The album kicks off with 'This is how it goes' what a start to a album, ubeat and catchy! I wouldent really call it punk, its a fast paced rock sound. His voice is very different to anything i have heard before! For me the guitar work of fooled me into thinking there were more than one guitarist in the band, he really is a top quality guitarist - just have a listen to the opening riff of River Below! The bass lines are also top notch too, not just a boring drone in the background but a driving force in the fast songs and some innovative fills. The good songs are line and sinker, this is one of the best on this album. I feel that they should of released this song. I would of brought the album back in 2003. You need to own this album in your collection!
I wish i was older enough to buy this album back in 1994, I didnt get my hands on it till 2000. This was the last album i brought out of their collection of albums. I was expecting this album to be pretty good, just like all the others. I was quite shocked when i heard this album, The lyrics are very dark and in someway depressing. I wasent to sure at first what the lyrics meant, but i looked all the words up which i didnt know what they were and its vert celevery done. I know i wasent that old when this album came out, but i read up on them via books. To me it looks like they have matured out of their glitter and the eyeliner stages. The album cover is very artistic and i can imange now that they dont sell much of this album. People are missing out. This album is not pop, its dark rock with sum amazing solo's, expically in 'archives of pain'. I was blown away when i heard that. In this album you can hear how emotional james's voice is and how great seans drumming is. I played this to my boyfriend and he hated it. Its a hit or miss really. If you like the newer stuff,i doubt you will like this album. But give it a few listens and its really different. The manics wont be like this ever again i can imange, So this is a once in a lifetime album to be cherished.
I remember hearing this album in my partner's car. It was really weird, but he made me listen to the whole of it. Im very into my music, only punk and ska. He's tryed for ages to get me into something different, and i suppose it was his car, so i couldent just turned the music off. Now after a few months, my music taste has become more open. And im hooked with this album. I see this album came out a while ago, its shame this album hasent come out now. Its different, if i heard bands like this on radio one i would attually listen to radio 1 for more than 5minutes. By the first song ' el salvador' it has my feet tapping. All the songs on this album are really random. Its crazy how one minute classic indie, the next 80's casio, into hip-hop and back home for a rabble-rousing feel good anthem. All the songs are very suprising, my partner was saying how they put drum and bass into a slow song! I was shocked when i listened that it attually worked. All the music i normally like is at a fast paced beat. This is chilling and it makes me relax. I am going to now see what other album athlete have, i cant beileve i missed this band in 2003.
This is one of the best film's pixar have done in a while. It has now been out 5years, and people still love it 5years on. This is a must for everyone's collection, young or adults. Everyone will love this film. The story starts quite tragically and i even had a tear in my eye. Marlin then vows to protect his one little baby from everything and never let anything bad happen to him. The story starts with Nemo's first day at school Marlin isn't happy about him going off on his own and Nemo then tries to show his dad he is big enough by swimming out to a boat. Unfortunately Nemo gets caught by a scuba diver and ends up in a fish tank at a dentists. Marlin then sets out on a journey to Sydney to find his son. Nemo in the mean time is trying to get out of the fishtank with the help of his new found fish buddies. On Marlins journey he is helped along by a variety of wonderful water animals, and even the sharks are great! 'Fish are friends not food' is a fantastic line. The animation is amazing and this film has some great humor in it. If you havent seen this film yet, you need too!
I have lived in wrexham for 20years now, and to be fair its attually a alright town. Theres 3 main big supermarkets, 2 that open 24hour. We have 3 little retail parks and theres mini supermarkets dotted everywhere. Wrexham has most stores you can think off. They are building another new shopping complex which will have a bowling alley etc in there. The nightlife is either good or not, depends what you like. Theres plenty of bars all in one street and a few clubs aswell. I feel that wrexham is getting to be a nice town, They need to update some of the not so good area's. But im sure they are trying there best. The traffic in wrexham though is getting worse, this new shopping complex is going to make the traffic bedlam. I feel that they are craming to much stuff into a certain space. Wrexham isnt big enough in my eyes to become a city. Wrexham is a nice little place, but its getting better and better, so sometime soon wrexham will be better than chester.
For a city, i feel that the supermarkets in chester are poor. There isnt one big and decent supermarket even close too the city centre. Ok, we have the tesco's right in the middle of town, Which only stays open till 10pm. I wouldent bother trying to attenmpt to get to this supermarket during the daytime or anytime before half six. Because the traffic around that area is bedlem. The parking isnt even free, Unless you spend a certain amount of money in there. Quite close to tescos we have a icelands, Again it would be bedlam trying to get to this shop and the parking isnt free unless you spend over a fiver. I think this shop is open till 8pm. You have a somerfield in the shopping centre by the other side of town, But i wpuldent class this as a main supermarket. Its a perfect shop for your little items after you finish work. Again its only open till 6pm and the parking isnt free either, One shop that is good, is morrisions, this is open till 10pm and its 2minutes drive outside the city. It has plenty of parking and this supermarket is rater big and has a little cafe aswell. They do have a 24hour tescos about 5miles outside out of chester in a place called new broughton. This is one of the best supermarkets around chester. I jus feel that its a bit far to go just to get your shopping. But they have built a new tesco's near the greyhound park, but its not 24hour. Its a smaller tescos, about the same size as the one in town. This offers free parking and theres a aldi behind it. I feel that Chester has a bad range of supermarkets in the city itself. You have to travel at least 5 to 8 miles to get to a 24hour supermarket.
I feel that when you go on holiday theres really only a few things you need to remember, the main things that you need to attually get on holiday are 1. Passport(i hate watching that airline programme and see people who get to the airport with no passport, how can people forget passpports, It's one of the main things you need) 2. Tickets ( of course these are also a thing you need to get aboard). 3. Travel insurance( a must for a holiday, my insurance is with the bank, so all i need is a bank card and the claims numberr) 4. Money (you may get on holiday with the top 3, but this one is also important, But suppose if you have a credit card you would be ok). Them to me are the most important, I check mine at least 5 times before i leave my town. As long as you have them you are fine. Who cares about some toothpaste. Its not worth going back home to get that! Get it in the airport! Simple. I suppose the next 6 items.. well its up to you what you call important. But anything in your suitcase can be brought on holiday if you do forget it! But the 6 to me would be 5. Travel adapter, for my hairdryer and straighters. 6. Padlocks for my suitcase. (suppose i would make sure i had them on before i left) 7. Packed my flip flops and shoes. 8. Paracetamol - long days make my legs ache 9. Camera- not that important i suppose, but to me it is. 10. Contraception- Got to be safe! Theres the 4 main items and then 6 not so important!I dont care about little things in my suitcase, aslong as i have some clothes, Its all good. Make sure you always have the important 4 though, or you wont be going anywhere!
I have always liked tk maxx, but only when i have time to spend my time looking through all the rails. Tk maxx stock alot of different designer items at low prices. This is a good thing, as i will never pay the full price for all this designer clothes. The stores are very clear with what goes where, i like the way they put all the jeans on one big rail. Its so good to go through them all, as every pair is different. They sell lots of clothes, and quite a bit of home stuff aswell. The clerance sales are really good, you normally pick up a bargin from those rails. I always have a browse in tk maxx, but only when i have time. Theres so much stuff in there, and it changes everyday. I really like this shop, It reminds me of being in america,as in america they have so many shops like that.
I shop in matalan quite alot, Mainly in the summer months for summer clothes or to buy office work clothes. I reason why i like this shop is its open to 8pm and its really cheap. A bit dearer than primark but its very good quality. The best time for this shop is around the summer months, The flip flops for 3quid, vest tops for 3quid. Perfect prices to buy your clothes for. I feel that they to stock the rails a bit better though, all the small sizes go so quick. I think the only problem with the clothes is the jeans, They need to stock smaller leg sizes. Everytime i try some on, they are really long. Maybe do a little petite section. Matalan, is not just about clothes. They stock alot of home stuff, Even televisions i noticed the other day. I have heard in matalans they are stocking alot of birthday/ dressing up stuff. Its a very good idea, means you dont have to go into town. Most matalans have car parks, so its quick to just pop in and out. In matalan stores you do need a matalan card, dont really see the point in this. I forget mine all the time, so im always signing up for new ones. A great shop apart from the card malarky.
I have only flown once with easyjet! And i will deffo fly with them again. No problems at all. I booked my flights off the easyjet website, and it was really simple. Just type in when you want to go, and it helps you. Theres either cheap flights or more dear flights. It asks you if you want any extra's,food etc. Just be careful before you book. Make sure you check everything before you attually buy anything. These companies will try and get all the money they can out of you. The boarding is really simple, the earlier you check in the earlier you will be called to board the aircraft! But even though we were late to check in. We still got seats together! Its like a bus, just sit down if you see a seat. I was only flying to amsterdam, so it was only a hour. I was that tired i just fell asleep. On the way home they came around with a drinks n snacks desk. Its just a simple flight. And dont expect much. If you want amazing service you will have to pay more. No complaints from me. Website is really easy to use. We were 30minutes delayed, Because all the weather. But that is all.
Everyone mentioned ikea to me in work, saying how good it is, and how cheap it is. I was decorating my room at the time and wanted to get some new bedside cabinets for my bedroom. So went to ikea, I looked up on the website the opening times! I noticed they were open till midnight everynight, Thats perfect to go after i finished work at 5pm. Took me a while to find it, Then i saw the big blue box shape warehouse. I was quite excited. Didnt quite understand everything at first, you go into a showroom type of bit first, Little weird, But quite smart. Then i noticed everyone writing notes down of what they wanted. Then i clicked, you look at the showroom, note down which you like, then go buy it at the end. There was everything you could think of in this shop, including shower gel and shampoo. It was all really cheap aswell, But a little basic in my eyes. But very good ideas, some things i wouldnt even think off. So simple but so good. Ikea is massive, it was amazing how big it was. To have a good look, give yourself at least 2hours in this place. It was so good going later on at night. We got in there about 7pm and left about 10pm. I was so tired by the end of it. I went again on a sunday daytime! It was packed and so many kids everywhere. You can get so much more done if you go on a weekday. Theres even a few cafe's in there, selling food really cheap! Great idea if you get tired, somewhere where you can rest your legs! But get a bag or trolley when you start, Cause we didnt as we didnt know how much we were going to buy. But i wish i did at the end of it. You have to buy something if you go into this shop!! Its that cheap. Im going to make another visit to this shop when i move out of my house!
