This moisturising/oil can be used for all different reasons. People with dry skin, to even out skin tone, pigmentation, prevention or improvement of stretch marks, scars.
I started using it about 2 or 3 weeks ago, to prevent stretchmarks as I am pregnant. so far I havent got any stretchmarks (touch wood) and shall continue to use the product throughout the pregnancy and they advise to use it for a little while afterwards aswell, when your skin starts to shrink back to normal.
Although I did buy the big bottle 200ml for £12.95 from Wilkinson, it is nearly finished. So it can be quite pricey, but having said that I do use it all over not just my tummy. The brand recommends this and also to use it twice a day.
Obviously you can get the smaller ones for less, but I think they would just last me a week.
Not only does it feel like it works, it smells nice too and once it has absorbed into the skin, you dont feel overly oily, just nice and moisturised.
I have wondered would just a normal moisturiser do the same, but this does claim to contain a new break through ingredient called PurCellin Oil. But there are a few other products on the market that are similar to Bio-oil and claim to also prevent stretchmarks etc.
It can be bought almost anywhere, Boots, Wilkos, Superdrug (which have also brought out their own brand of bio-oil). I saw Asda also had a product like this, which was cheaper.
After buying the Nintendo wii and really enjoying it, the next gadget on my list wish was the Nintendo DS lite. I was pleasantly surprised to receive one for my birthday plus one game (braintrain). I have also recently discoved that I can connect it to the wii, so you can play it on a bigger screen. Depending on which game you play, the graphics are quite good and look amazing on the 3D ultra-bright screens.
I love it because its portable and quite sleek and fits nicely in my handbag. The last handheld game system I owned was the gameboy. They have obviously improved a lot since then. You can even make it look even better with many choices of different skins.
It has 2 screens, one is a touch screen. It comes with a little touch screen wand that slots nicely into the side, so you dont loose it. There is a volume control or you can choose to plug in your own headphones or speakers, and also a microphone port.
5.2 inches by 2.9 inches long and the width is 0.85 inches. It is also only 7.6oz, which is around 20% lighter the original DS.
What a good phone. Well as long as you get use to the touch screen and lock it with the button the is on the right hand side of phone. So many times I've put the phone in my bag and forgotten to lock it and it has rang people or opened up applications, oops.
It does have loads of applications, can't say I use them all but its nice to have the option, the most useful ones I find, are the calender, for birthdays, meetings and all things important.
Music and it comes with earphones, so you can download all your favourite tunes and listen to them anywhere.
The camera is super, its 3.2 mega pixels, so quite good quality.
The bluetooth means that I can talk handsfree in the car (but make sure your car has imusic or some other device installed)
Browser, to quickly check my emails, this is all included in my monthly rental so dont need to pay extra.
There limited screensavers to choose from but you can just use your own picture.
Overall it is quite easy to use, you can even use the buttons on the sides if you dont like touching the screen.
It is quite light, sleek and looks good. There are also some great blingy covers out there for this model.
I remember when I used to eat Hula Hoops when I was little. Putting them on your fingers and playing with them. Hula hoops have always had a fun element and taste great!
Now they even have a little sort of quiz question on the back of each packet for entertainment.
They come in a few different flavours, like ready salted, salt & vinegar, cheese & onion and beef. This is the only kind of crisp that I like in Ready salted flavour you can taste the potato. I think it is maybe the shape and because they are made with 100% sunflower oil and are completely free from artificial flavours, colours and MSG.
Potato (potato starch & dried potato), sunflower oil 28%, rice flour, maize flour, salt, potassium chloride.
Nutritional value per bag
0.1g of sugar
7.1g of fat
You can get a value pack of 36 bags for £2.44 from tesco
or a single small pack containing 25g is around 35p
They come in different colours depending on flavour, but the original (ready salted) flavour is Red and they all have a picture of a hula hoop on the front.
Very highly recommended yogurt snack. I used to eat the muller corners but they were getting a bit expensive, then I saw the cheaper Tesco version. They cost only £1 for 3 and they taste just as good if not better, but that is probably because of the amount of sugar.
Having said that, if you look at other yogurts they also contain a lot of sugar, which Ive never realised before.
Yogurt 69%, Sugar, Milk Chocolate Coated Cereal Flakes 8%, Water, Banana Puree 4.5%, Lemon juice from concentrate, stabilisers (pectin, xanthan gum), natural flavouring.
They are suitable for vegetarians but not for nut allergy sufferers. It doesnt contain nuts but they cannot guarantee its nut free.
Each pot contains
27.6 grams of sugar
9.6 grams of fat
Basically it is a sweet banana flavoured yogurt, with chocolate covered cornflakes which you tip in the yogurt for extra flavour. In one pot you get 150grams. Together they are quite sweet, but its a nice dessert to have after a meal or as a snack as it does fill you up a bit and does not contain too many additives.
If you are like me and always hungry, then snack a jacks are perfect to keep you going, or maybe you're looking for a healthier alternative to crisps. Not that they really taste like crisps but they make a nice difference to eating breakfast bars to stop feeling hungry and are a savoury option.
They are basically little rice cakes with a sour cream and chive powdered flavour on them. Each little disc is about 4cm in diameter.
Quite flavoursome, but a little dry.
There are only 91 calories in one 22g packet, 1.4grams of Sugar and 1.7grams of fat, 0.6g of salt.
Ingredients: Rice, Maize, Sour cream and chive flavour, lactose, salt, onion powder, glucose, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), milk powder, flavourings, herbs, butter, citric acid, sunflower oil.
It is suitable for Coeliacs and Vegetarians
They come in a bright green pack with snack a jacks written on in White.
An individual pack costs 48p for 26grams, but you can also get the value pack which has 6 small packs in it. The value packs costs £1.97.
At the moment Tesco do a deal where you can get 2 value packs containing 6 packs for £3.00, so pretty good
I love Diet Coke, although not as much as the full fat, full of sugar, original version. But I prefer to buy the Diet version so I don't feel so guilty drinking it and worry about putting on weight.
Some people say that you're not going to loose weight drinking Diet Coke, but that is not why I drink it. I drink it because it only contains 0.5 calories per 100ml and 0 grams of sugar. The taste is difficult to describe, a bit metallicy and syrup. The colour of it is dark brown and is carbonated. Perfect served chilled to quench your thirst on a hot sunny day.
Im a size 10 and not overweight, so by drinking the Diet version I can keep my weight the same and not put on weight and still enjoy the great taste! Still Im not saying Diet Coke is good for you, possibly worse for you than Full fat coke, because it contains a lot of additives, especially aspartame, which I think is dangerous. This is why I dont tend to drink it too often, only when I need an energy boost as it contains caffiene aswell and it really does the trick.
The packaging is Silver with the word Coke in RED and Diet in Black. It comes in all different sizes, 2litre bottle, 1.25litre share size bottle, Cans and mini cans so you can pop them in your bag.
I dont really class quavers as crisps, they have more of a prawn cracker texture but obviously with a cheesy flavour. Well the original is a cheese flavour, but they now also do other flavours, like prawn cocktail and salt and vinegar.
The cheese ones taste the best out of them all. They are not overly cheesy and just fizz and melt away on your tongue. I think the way they are curl shaped accentuates the flavours. They are perfect for a snack but not exactly filling, as they are quite light and airy.
I dont rate the other two flavours that much. I dont think they have the taste quite right and that they are a bit overpowering and tangy.
They are made by Walkers but have less calories than ordinary Walkers crisps. A 20gram snack size packet contains 101 calories and 5.7g fat and are not compromised on flavour. Although they do seem very greasy, maybe this is because they are fried in Sunseed Oil rather than Vegetable oil which regular crisps are fried in.
You can recognise them by their bright yellow packaging, with Quavers written on in green in curvacious letters and the nutritional information.
They are not too expensive either, the small 20 gram bag is 40p.The family sized bag contains 12 packets, which are the smaller packets (16 grams each) and costs £2.18.
If you're in a hurry or simple cant be bothered to cook, then Pot Noodles are the way to go. They are just noodles with a flavour. There are lots of different flavours like Chinese Chowmein, beef & tomato, spicy curry and a few more depending on where you buy it from.
As the name suggests, the noodles come in a pot. They are dry compressed noodles with a flavour and all you need to do, is boil some water and fill the pot up to the line. Let it stand for a couple of minutes, then stir and let it stand for another couple of minutes to let the noodles moisten and cool down a little. It also comes with an optional packet of sauce. I tend not too use the sauce, just because I like the taste of the noodles as they come.
I love the flavour and they are not expensive, only 88p and they are so easy to make. The beef and tomato for example contains 396 calories, 7 grams of sugar and 14.9 grams of fat.
You can also get the value pack, which contain 4 pots, or an even bigger version for £1.12, called King pot noodle but beware The King Curry pot noodle contains 505 calories!!!
I eat them with a fork, just so I can get hold of the noodles, but some people prefer using a spoon so they can scoop up some of the soupy water.
I really like MTV during the day and does show some great music videos, but its a shame you have to pay extra for it. We used to get it on our Sky package but have decided to save some money and have scrapped it. If you didnt have to pay for it, I would definetely choose it over other music channels and just have it on in the background. Although I do have to say, they are starting to show a lot less music videos and putting on reality programs.
For people that have never heard on MTV, its a music channel which used to play lots of music non-stop, however now this channel has a lot of breaks for commercials between songs and doesnt play much music in the evening just reality TV programs like, The Hills, Pimp my Ride, Jack Ass, Runs House and many more.
I do like 'The Hills' it follows a group of young adults, some of the girls work for Teen vogue and go out a lot, its quite funny watching the cat fights between them all.
I have a few different opinions about Big brother. Some series are really good especially the first one, because it was something different. But this last series, with Noirin, Marcus, Lisa, Bee etc is not as good. There is a lot of bitching going on, I know some people will say that, thats the best thing about it and entaining, but Id rather watch something a bit more relaxing and that you can learn a thing or 2 from.
If you have never watched it, its a reality TV program, where 10 people will live in a house together and their every move will be caught on camera. They have to do a task every week to get their food budget and have to nomitate 2 people each week who they would like to put up for eviction. It is then up to the public to vote who they want out of the house.
There have been some really good series, like the one with Pete who suffered from Tourettes. He was such a nice guy and hilarious, very kind natured and glad he won.
This is a great program to watch with the whole family. If you have never seen it before, its basically a talent show for singers. The auditions are filmed and edited, although the next auditions will be held in front of a live audience. The judges basically tell them if they are through to the next round. Then the final acts go through to a live show on ITV but this can be a little boring just watching people sing. At this stage its in the viewers hands on who gets through by voting.
I particularly like the first stages of the auditions. I know you shouldnt laugh but it is really funny how deluded some people are, they genuinely think they can sing and are world class. The faces of the judges are even better, you see them trying to fight the urge of bursting out laughing but often they just cant help themselves. Obviously this can be quite upsetting to the auditionee but really someone needs to bring them back down to earth.
Another great program shown on Channel 4. It provokes all different kinds of emotions. If you have never seen it before, its a reality show about a real life millionaire that goes under cover. The millionaire will go to a region that has quite a lot of proverty or people that need help. They will do some sort of voluntary work and help people and learn about their lives. They only get a little bit of money to live from, for them to also realise how other people live.
Near the end of the program they will need to decide which people they are going to help and give money to. Often they are quite large somes of money that go to organisations that care or help other people.
Its hard to fight back the tears at the end because the people that receive the money are genuinely nice people and really deserve a break. They also revisit the receivers after a few months to see how the money has helped.
Often the millionaire also learns a lesson about their own lives and that they are very lucky but that money isnt everything.
Recommended feel good program, very inspiring.
From when this program started in 2005, I have been glued to the TV. If you have never seen this program before then I definitely recommend it if you are business minded. Basically random people who have a business idea or just simply need money to put into their business come and pitch their ideas to 5 dragons. The 'dragons' are 5 very successfull entrepreneurs themselves. The first series started with different dragons than the more recent episodes.
I like to watch it because I find it very inspirational, watching young inventors come up with something new or people just generally working hard and trying to become more successful. Although there are also some very unprepared non-business minded people that come and pitch. Its cringe worthy watching them digging themselves into a hole and sweating profusely.
I do understand how nerve recking it would be and I have been tempted before to go on the program myself. I think I will keep that as a last resort because the dragons can totally shoot you down and make you feel really small. Plus in my opinion the program is more about entertaining the viewers than making investments.
This is a very useful website. I have often logged on to find some advice or save money. If you are not familiar with it, it basically will advise you on any topic. Take for example your utility bills, there are many things on there on how to save money, get cash back and find the lowest provider. I found my cheapest provider and also got my travel insurance by looking on their website first and have saved lots on other stuff that I didnt know about before.
Martin Lewis the adviser can also be seen on ITV giving advice on many different subjects.
However if you are not familiar with the site, it can be a bit confusing when you first log on. If you click on a tab, there is a lot of information and can be overwelming.
I do like the shopping/spending tab, as I have got lots of vouchers and deals from there. Check it out Im sure you wont be dissappointed.
