Now this makeup range is very difficult to find, in fact I only know of Selfridges that stock it. After trying out various brands and ranges of foundation, I originally tried this foundation out 5 years ago after obtaining a tester pot from the Bull Ring, and to be honest it is the best foundation I have every used.
Working in retail under constant harsh strip lighting, I need to have a foundation that lasts all day, without slipping or caking and also that the coverage is light enough that I dont feel like I am wearing a mask!
After using the last of my other foundation, which I also had to layer on two coats of foundation and also add a Matt powder to acheive the finish I desired, not to matt and not too shiny. My boyfriend and I took a trip to the Bull Ring, and a lightbulb came on in my head to go in search of this little fluid miracle I had tried before.
In Selfridges on the top floor at the make up counters, a fabulous consultant sat me down after watching me pour over several foundations to try and figure out which one it was that I tried before.
At first I was scepticle when she offered to redo my makeup for me to find my best match, but after a pushy boyfriend convinced me too, I was pleased that I did.
After explaining what I did for a living, the fact that I have an oily Tzone but also dry cheeks due to the air conditioning in my office, she picked up the luminous skin foundation.
After feeling the light weight texture on my hand, it felt like there was nothing on there!, she picked my medium shade, as I am blonde with a fair complexion who occasionally wears fake tan, and applied.
The feel of this foundation is like a second skin, it is totally lightweight by the coverage is superb, it does not excentuate your pores or hairs on your face like some foundations, and it blends totally with your natural colour (choosing the right tone helps though) As I wanted to test its coverage she added a second layer, but to be honest I still could feel my skin breathing through, to this she added a liquid bonzer and concealer. I have found using the liquid products has helped keep the coverage feel lighter. Then she was done!
I was totally astounded, even though the product had the coverage of a matt foundation, it still leave a luminous and dewy glow to the skin, making it appear more natural and light.
The makeup she put on me lasted throughout the day, even though the weather was blazing hot and being in a shopping centre I had tried clothes on and off all day! The foundation didn't run or leave any tied marks at all, I was totally impressed, that two hours after she had applied the makeup, I went back and bought all of the products she used, including the Armani primer which is also fabulous for helping foundation keep still!
In the evening taking the product off was easy, I only use facewipes, but it wasn't stubborn to remove or needed any other products to take off.
The next morning I applied and still do only apply a 20p piece size amount of foundation with a foundation brush, and even that sometimes is more than enough to cover the whole face. Then I used a sweep of concealer and bronzer and I'm good to go! This bottle though not huge would last me, even through daily usage, around 3-4 months, so the amount I used to spend on not too great highstreet equivalents has saved me the bother and the money on using something that really did my skin more harm than good, and my purse for that matter!
This isn't by any means a cheap foundation buy, but as I said it really has made makeup in the morning more easy! If you work in retail, it seriously is a good all day lasting foundation, and if you don't like a dewy finish you can add a power on top to take away the sheen and not feel masked in makeup!
The colour matches are superb, and the consultants really take the time to find out what suits you. They will happily give you sample pots to try, the lady I bought from gave me 2 others to try! But would have to wait till payday for another! So give it a try and see if it impresses you as much as it has me. Quality costs more, but it also does what it says on the tin!
Ok, I have been suffering with a horrible rough chesty cough now for over 3 weeks. I woke up yesterday and thought I have to do something about this as it just would not shift.
I purchased some Venos Expectorant (for chesty coughs) and i took it every 3 hours for a day. I woke up this morning feeling so much better, cough was still there but the pain from my throat and the horrid feel of having stuff on my chest had gone. I have carried on using it again today and I can actually feel the stuff working as each hour passes.
It comes in 100ml bottles, I paid £3 for it from the garage so i know i paid over the odds but i needed something!
It does exactly what it says on the box, helps to clear the chesty cough and soothe your throat.
There is no sedative in this product so you can carry on with your normal day without any drowsiness - so no issues with driving.
Contains ingredients - Guaifenesin (100mg), Liquid glucose is 3.0g, and 1.35g of treacle.
Total sugar content is (3.4g per 5ml)
The only bad thing i can think of with this product is the discusting taste! It is awful...
However I would rather have something that worked than just tasted nice :)
Shelf life on this product is 6 months after opening, so i would advise taking the full course once opened even if you feel better.
We bought this dryer from Littlewoods around 3 months ago. We went 2 months without one, and we would be lost without it!
Because our place is all on one floor we really didnt want to purchase both a washer and a dryer as serperates. One we do not have the space and two, It just seems easier to have one machine.
You could look at it in 2 ways, its good because you only have one machine to go wrong, or the other way is if it does break down you lose both your washer and dryer...
The washing there times are adequate, and you have various options for washing. There is an option for wool. synthetics, cotton, fast wash, and there is also a pump out option which you use before you switch to drying.
Word of warning!:
I thought I would please my girlfriend by washing her UGG boots for her while she was away. Left the machine washing and went to bed.... Well I woke up the following morning and went to the machine thinking they were going to be all soft, fluffy and nunarish again! erm how wrong i was. What i did not realise was that i left it on the setting to switch to dry for 2 hours after it washed them.... The UGGs were still roasting hot when i took them out, the soles had more less melted and the toes bent down, and all the wool inside was fried and rough. In nicer words than i said at the time (oh whoops a daisy!)... I hid the boots for 4 weeks until i admitted guilt and took the wrath. Needless to say she now has 2 new pairs... So please be warned!!
There are 3 drying options:
Hang dry (wardrobe)
The best option by far is the hang dry, the clothes come out pretty hot, hang them up on the rail and they are usually dry overnight, no ironing required - bonus!
I have read many reviews of washer dryers before i bought one, as this is not the cheapest by any means. However i really rate this machine and would buy another one as long as this one lasts a few years.
Just remember, careful with the uGG boots!
I am a blonde with fine hair, but lots of it! I was asked to give this product a go after recomendation by my hairdresser, I love the Tigi fresh and modern branding in all of their products, and after party doesn't disappoint.
After towel drying my hair I applied the smallest 5p piece of after party from roots to tips and then blow dried my hair. But After Party left my hair feeling heavy and a little greasy, I tried the smoothing cream again once my hair was blow dried and straightened just to see if it made a difference, again with the smallest amount, but the product again seem to sit on my hair rather than smooth it out.
Now I know we can't always recreate the hairdressers techniques at home, but even following the manufacturers instructions with this product, it didn't work for me. The product made my roots and hair feel heavy and the tips a little static, so I wasn't over the moon with the price that I paid for it.
I would recommend that if you do want to try this product, maybe run it by your hairdresser to see if its worth the purchase before you invest, as mine, I'm afraid ended up in the bin. I love all Tigi products but this wasn't right for me, believe me I now own another of Tigi's smoothing hair products instead.
My advice, see how and ask your hairdresser would apply and use this product, but for heavy weight fine hair I would steer clear of this one.
I have used a couple of the Benefit blusher and bronzer kits and duos, and have even defected to other more expensive brands, but Hoola is the bronzer that I always come back to.
Hoola works as a light coverage ontop of any foundation and last throughout the day, I work in retail so the lights are bright and sometimes very hot, so its important that a bronzer lasts throughout the day with my other makeup.
Hoola gives you a gorgeous shimmer without looking too over done. Its' lightweight texture and coverage allows you to put as much or as little as you want without feeling caked.
I would however recommend a normal wide head bronzer brush to apply this product, as the one supplied with Hoola can be a little harsh for more sensitive skin types.
The packaging is gorgeous and even if you drop it on the floor the content doesn't break up or smash like normal compact bronzers.
The price is above normal highstreet equivalents but to be honest, a box of Hoola will last me about 4-5 months with daily application.
Well worth the investment and you wont switch once you've tried it!
Perfect to honey toned and darker complections.
This is the third samsung television that i have bought.
I thought this would be too small for our main tv in the lounge but i wanted one to use for the xbox and to put in the bedroom.
I actually think the picture on the 32" tv is better than the one on my 40" TV, its definately easier to play games on where your eyes have to be everywhere, i find on the 40" you end up having to move your head too much to enable you to see everything going on (snipers in the corners etc).
Picture quality is excellent, the colours are extremely vivid and clear. There are options for gaming and movies with cool and warm colour tones.
There is also a customization setting which is fun to play around with! you can change the contrast, sharpness, amount of colour etc.
I was suprised at how light this is compared to the 40 as well, its very easy to place in the backseat of your car and take to your mates or your parents.
The sound quality is very good, but admit I have heard better. For this reason I run the TV though my hifi system to beef up the sound.
Very easy to use and install, remote is easy.
For the money you will not find a better television than this, it looks sexy and oozes quality in all areas.
The only critisism i would have, it does attract the dust! So requires cleaning regularly.
Want one for the bathroom next lol
I bought this TV in June this year to replace my old 40" LCD which was not full HD (1920 x 1080)
To be honest in my opinion the difference is hardly noticeable to us normal people, im sure that some tech experts may disagree tho.
This TV comes into its own though when you plug in your xbox or playstation. THe colours are absolutely brilliant, the most vibrant I have seen.
I have seen many people complain about the sound quality (or usually just the volume levels) of samsung TV's. And i can see their point on my older samsung but i think the sound on this TV is again the best i have 'personally heard'. Very loud and clear, without sounding distorted.
I don't think you can beat the style of these tv's though. They are sleek, gleaming black, only drawback is they seem to attract the dust!
The only thing i was dissappointed with is that there is only one scart connection, although this is ok if you are using a HD cable instead.
I think 40" looks good in any sized room, when i got mine and i saw the size of the box i thought JESUS! it was the size of my dining table!
But after using it for a couple of weeks it just seems to get smaller and smaller. I would not go smaller, TV watching is just not the same!
After all, Size DOES matter!
This is a gorgeous watch to wear, looks very expensive (which it is) but not really as far as quality watches are concerned.
This is not for everyone, i find i can only wear it on my right wrist as the time adjustment sticks out so much to the right. If you wear it on your left wrist, because the watch is heavy, it tends to dig into your hand while your driving or if you are typing on the computer.
It keeps perfect time as with all Seikos and the kinetic system seems to work as good.
The face of the watch is huge, everyone comments about it at work and many colleagues have wanted to have a look.
I have never paid this much for a watch before, but i always wanted an expensive nice watch. It is certainly the nicest watch i have ever owned :)
I kind of regretted it the moment i bought it just for the reason of i have just blown £500!! But when i received the watch I did feel that it was excellent value for money.
Oh, one other thing, when it arrived the strap was hughe, so anyone with large hands should not have a problem. I had 3 links taken out which cost me a fiver.
It has some nice functions with the 3 faces and stop watch options.
The best thing about these is that no matter what you do to them, it seems impossible to scratch the crystal.
I would recommend this watch to anyone who has a spare few hundred quid and wants a treat. But if you are anything like me, you will buy it, think omg i just spent £500 on a watch, wait very impatiently and then my stunned and happy when it arrives :)
So in summary:
Beware of the left hand issue
Large clear gorgeous face
Comes with plenty of spare links
Best watch I have owned
I have played many ibanez jems over the last 15 years and to be honest i have never played a bad one!
This guitar has the wow factor when you see it for the first time, and the WOW factor gets bigger when you plug this beast in and start to play it!
The pickups are awesome, very loud but also extremely tight.
It plays like all ibanez jems, like through butter and it screams with sustain and feedback when you crank up the distortion.
If you can afford to buy this kind of guitar then i would seriously recommend it to anyone but for all beginners out there and players wanting a guitar that sounds as good for a fraction of the price, pick yourself up an Ibanez RG550 or 750 used for around £400.
I have owned many jems including the 20th anniversary see through model which cost me £3000. To take a look at it go to my youtube site and here them being played, you can also here the RG550 and 750 there too while im attempting some Joe satriani and Mark knopfler covers.

I have been playing the electric guitar since the age of 15 and have used a whole wide range of string brands.
I can honestly say i do not think these are the best strings i have ever used for my kind of playing, i tend to use D'Addario and i will not put anything else on my ibanez's now.
However, these strings are not that bad, they are one of the better other makes i have used. I just find that D'Addario seem to stay in tune much longer and they seem to also last longer.
I play lots of Joe satriani type music so my guitars take some hammer over the weekends. There is nothing at all wrong with these but i would have to recommend D'Addario over these.
Please feel free to watch my videos on youtube where you can see me using the D'Addario strings on my guitars. Search for guitarwizzuk
Hope you enjoy and happy playing ;)
I have been training in Muay Thai boxing now since the age of 6 and also teaching when i get the time!
students at our gym train for many reasons from recreation and weight loss, to both men and women wishing to compete at an amateur and professional level in Thai Boxing.
Through training in thai boxing it can improve your current fitness levels and build your confidence
I have trainied in many martial arts including wadaru & shotokan Karate, brazilian Ju-Jitsu and trained to be a bodyguard.
The most helpful martial art i have ever come across and the most useful self defence in my opinion, nothing comes close to Muay Thai.
It is extremely explosive and can be violent. if you are looking for a martial art to train in for street self defence, i could not recommend anything other than thai boxing.
If you take a roundhouse from a trained karate student etc yes it wont come very nice and you may get winded if you are untrained. However ifc you are unfortunate to be untrained and take a roundhouse kick from a trained thai boxer, it could easily smash your ribs.
Dont be put off by me sounding like its vilent, it is taught in strict safe conditions and you would not be subject to this if you are a beginner or want to just learn the art. But if you do want to compete, there are ways to condition yourself to take these kind of blows.
I have had my blackberry 4 months now, and to be honest i would be completely lost without it now.
It is extremely user friendly
Large clear screen
So so much you can do with it, im still learning.
nice size to hold, and speakerphone works really well
There are none for me personally, but i would think that some people who are a little to old for the technology may struggle.
The keys are not huge, so people with large fingers may experience some difficulty in using. Also the scroll key will not suit everybody, i have just found out you can change the sensitivity on it though which helps.
Overall i would recommend this phone if you like technology and are fairly ok with computers etc you will be fine!
I will certainly be replacing my blackberry with another one when my contract expires!
People with large fingers beware though, my dad struggles a little!
I bought this camera for my birthday in november 2009.
I trawled through all of the magazines i could find in asda at the time and after several weeks of indecision i decided to by it.
being my first SLR camera i was a little daunted about what to look for and confused by the techinical specifications, but most of the magazines i read seemed to recommend this camera so i took the plunge and bought!
I'm extremely glad i did, i have taken some awesome landscape pictures of my parents garden and I am more than happy with the results!
Once i had printed off the pictures, my mum was so pleased with the results that i actually bought my parents one for christmas.
My mum does not work so she was getting really bored at home every day whilst my dad had to run the buisness, and she loves showing me her latest photos whenever i go round
would recommend to all - especially beginners for ease of use!
