Jean Paul Gaultier is my favourite 'on a nice night out and special occasions' perfume. It is more of a heavy evening scent but definitely carries that sexy allure. When I wear this, my other half can't stop smelling me, which I suppose could be a little embarrassing!
It comes in the classic Jean Paul tin, which I guess is iconic now and probably so well known needs no explanation, however if you had never heard of it, it probably wouldn't grab your attention on the shelf! The bottle complements it feminine sexy appeal being a curvy female torso. The fragrance combines rose, star anise, orange blossom, ginger (which is said to be an aphrodisiac), vanilla and amber wood.
It is a beautiful perfume which I am complemented on when I wear it; however it is on the higher price end of the market at around £68 for 100ml eau du toilette and £71 for 100ml eau de parfum. You can pick up the eau du toilette for around £41.00 if you are thrifty and check out offers and online and £55.99 for the eau de parfum. A lovely 'for best' sexy evening perfume.
Ed Hardy: Women by Christian Audigier, Eau de Parfum is very similar in scent to Britney Spears Fantasy only more subtle and possibly slightly more of a musk undertone rather than the full fruity tones of Fantasy. The bottle says 'Love kills slowly' so possibly not quite the right impression if you are buying it as a surprise present! Ed Hardy might be a global fashion and beauty icon but many might be put off by the tattooed bottle if that's not really your thing.
Advertising states that it is number one in many countries and I must admit I do like this scent with its fruity, sweet aroma but when it first came out it was on the more expensive side of the market at around £50 and still is in some shops. However now it seems the price has lowered (perhaps not as popular as they originally thought) and you can pick up 100ml for about £25 if you shop around or buy online.
The fruit scent combines elements of strawberries, mango and grapefruit as well as floral scents of Black Freesia, Water Muguet and Linden Blossom. A lovely scent that does last well, however if you like fruity scents and are on a budget there are others out there such as Fantasy that do just as good as, or better job.
Some might say that this fragrance should only be worn by the young but I don't think 40 is too old! I have worn this for some time after my daughter was given a bottle for a present! Every time she wore it, it was instantly recognisable with its fruity aroma. I wear it in the daytime rather than the evening as it is fresh and sweet and lasts the day.
I've had many comments when wearing it, at work my colleagues enter the room and say 'mmm, we can smell you before we see you, what is that perfume', not sure if that's good or not but I think the 'mmm' means it is! It is slightly embarrassing perhaps for a 40 year old to admit she is wearing a pop princess perfume but if you have a don't care attitude go for it! I know this scent lasts because I have even had positive comments down the gym after a full day at work.
It comes in a pink bottle studded with Swarovski crystals and comes in a very pretty looking box that is a lot larger than the product, however I think it makes a lovely present and various shops such as Superdrug and the Perfume shop often have special offers on this scent. You can normally get it for around £19.99 and I haven't met anyone who doesn't actually like it.
I've had this TV for not quite a year and have had good experiences with LG products, washing machine, and microwave and before buying this another LG TV that is still going strong. We decided that we wanted to upgrade our small 19" LG to a slightly larger TV that had the latest HD ready features and widescreen went to various different stores, Currys, Comet and the like. The sales people in various places seemed to want to dazzle with their technology patter which really left us none the wiser! We popped in to Tesco and this was on offer, being an LG and a make that I already knew, coupled with a sales person who could speak 'lay-man' we went ahead. It has been fab, really easy to set up with Sky+, DVD recorder etc. Just simply took it out of its box and followed the on screen instructions. The picture is very clear and we have had no problems at all, it is also good that it has an on-off switch so you don't have to leave it on stand-by. A good buy at a good price!
I've had this camera for a little while now and it has lots of features and a high 14 mega pixel capacity for a little camera. My daughter did GCSE photography and had numerous cameras that never seemed to keep their 'life'. This one has gone everywhere with me and been to some sunnier climates too! As with most cameras that run on batteries, I would advise buying good quality batteries or invest in a good quality battery charger and rechargeable batteries as it can be frustrating when the battery life goes in the middle of an epic 'snapping' session. If just using this to take pictures then the battery life is pretty good. However if you decide to use many of the higher tech functions and video mode it can drain fairly quickly. The video function also requires a good deal of memory so spare SDHC cards are a must. I got caught out with this on holiday snapping loads of pictures and then shooting video and my memory was full, leaving me part way through my sunny hols without being able to snap anymore! However as this little camera has smart stuff like Blink Detection, automatic display brightness adjustment and Smile Detection, I've never taken a bad snap! Good price too, so a good all rounder.
I have recently managed to refurbish one of these that had been chucked out for 'dead' I have quickly realised that you can get spare parts pretty cheap and with some care and attention it can go on forever! My partner has become a bit of a rag 'an' bone man in his spare time and he happened upon one of these that someone had chucked out. I am a bit of a fix it fanatic so thought I would have a go. I set to work, taking bits apart, frantically cleaning and making a terrible mess! When I happened upon the first filter that looked like crumbled flower oasis, I decided I needed help, So had a look online at fix it videos and found out you could change both the lifetime and HEPA post motor filters for a very reasonable price.
You can find these videos online very easily if you just Google 'how to replace a dyson DC07 filter'. The lifetime filter is at the side of the cleaner and is easily accessible and should actually look like a sponge; however the HEPA filter gets missed and is under the main bin compartment. The HEPA filter can only be replaced but the lifetime filter can in fact be washed, but it's recommended you change it every 4 years. In fact you can actually get most replacement parts for these online which seems to extend the life and return it to 'like new', I bought my parts from Espares.com as they are genuine Dyson products but you can get cheaper versions if on a budget. It soon became apparent that although I had changed the filters it was missing its 'U bend' and effectively dumping the dust back on to the floor from its hose! So a quick glance at a new online video, I ordered the part and it came very quickly from the same supplier and was easy to fit.
Suffice to say I now have a fabulous new addition to my under stairs cupboard, in 'like new' working order, beautifully vacuumed carpets and stairs all for the price of a take away! I have previously had dyson vacuum cleaners and stupidly thrown them out when the hose broke, I have now found out that these can also be bought and replaced for around £6.00! My advice is that this is a very good product, very pricey initially, but can be maintained for years if willing to put in some time and effort. Since having it I have noticed how my previous vacuum was under performing, the dust and pet hair that comes out of my carpet is somewhat alarming!
It is easy to use and fix if need be with amazing suction power, and a hose that reaches the length of my stairs without having to move the cleaner. It has auto carpet height adjustment, so no fiddling is needed between carpets and hard floors, it's hygienic and quick to empty and has a reversible wand, the bin is clear so it is easy to see when it needs emptying. A must for people with pets.
I had an old shape Ford KA 'T' registration for a number of years and it was a super little car, a little basic on the inside and could make a bit of a rattle but it served me perfectly for zooming back and forth up the A3 in to London for university. The only reason I sold it was to upgrade to the new shape and buy my first new car. The new shape KA is much sleeker and actually 'feels' more like a fiesta to drive, it is a lot more solid and has more features than its previous model. The plus of the new model is that the road tax is only £30 per year and it is a fairly low insurance group. Since buying mine the range has changed slightly, mine was top of the range z-tech which has many features: ABS, all round electric windows, courtesy light, Air con, front and rear heated windows etc. The price was fairly justified for the features etc in comparison to other small cars, however the market is becoming increasingly competitive and there is more variety out there. All round I think the Ford KA is a good car, which holds its price and parts are cheap. A good first car and ideal small car which is still comfortable enough for long journeys.
I have tried various whitening products and nothing apart from a dentist's specialist whitening really works. When you smoke and drink coffee and tea, your teeth will get stained and it's more about which toothpaste will do a better job! I have tried nearly every whitening product out there and then resorted to paying a healthy amount to get that zingy smile form the dentist! However I do like this toothpaste it does seem to remove some staining which I think is the work of the baking soda but I have yet to see any whitening results. It does seem to keep your teeth up to scratch before the next visit to the dentist! The price of this product is fairly comparable to other brands and if you hunt around can often be found on special offer. It is also pretty comparable to other products within the Colgate range, so over all a good buy.
