I bought the HTC Wildfire in September 2010; I got it as part of a 2 year contract. I was really excited when I first got it as it was the first smart phone id had! So, let's start with the phone itself, its light and small, and slim so it can fit in pockets easily and handbags. The screen is very clear and the touch screen is very responsive, unlike other smart touch screens that you have to press on quite firmly to get a response. The home screen has 7 screens that you can flick through and put shortcuts on. I find I don't tend to use this, but for other people this might be helpful. Texting on this phone is very easy but it does take time to get used to! You can turn the phone either vertically or horizontally to type your words onto the screen, it all depends on preference. The camera is okay, it's not amazing but it does a good job, and it has a flash which quite a lot of phones don't have. It is designed to be easy to stay in touch with people with all the apps for face book and twitter. I only use facebook and yes it is fairly easy to use for this but the internet can be slow sometimes. A downside to this phone is that about half a year into using it, I found it became very slow and froze... I deleted a lot of things off the memory and it seems to quicken up again, but then it began to get slow again. This for me is the main downfall of the phone, but I haven't come across a phone that doesn't do this. All in all, I believe that this little phone is handy and easy to use; it's a good start into smart phones if you haven't had one before.
I have been a huge fan of Soap and Glory products, not only because of the mouth-watering smell but how efficient they are in what they do. I purchased the Breakfast Scrub in June ready for the summer tanning and I still have quite a bit left! It is made from Shea butter and sugar (which is great for exfoliating your skin, especially because it is a natural product) It also has the ingredient of banana, honey and almond which all contribute to the distinct and luscious smell of soap and glory products. It recommends that you scoop some of the scrub onto your fingertips and rub onto your skin in small circular movements. However, this is good but sometime on sensitive skin it can be harsh on the skin, so a little personal tip is to scoop a bit onto a bath scrunchy and then rub it onto your skin, that way the scrub is slightly less harsh on the skin as it is spread onto the bath scrunchy. I believe that it a good price, as it lasts for a long time which makes the price worth it. The cheapest I have found it is nearly £10 from boots, but with an advantage card you will benefit from getting points back! If you want a reliable body scrub that doesn't leave your skin feeling "tacky" after exfoliating then I suggests this is the scrub for you!
Now, I have always been cautious of fake tan as I hate looking like a tangerine, however I have found THE BEST fake tan! It's affordable, you don't smell like a bakery and it doesn't make you go orange! Brilliant! No 7's Quick Dry Tinted Lotion is a wear off fake tan that can be used for both the face and body. I purchased this from Boots about 3 months ago and I still have loads left! I even use it on my face I am that confident with the product! It is about £12 normally but I recommend getting it when Boots have the £5 off No7 voucher! Bargain! It says that you can rub it on with your hands but I always recommend a fake tan mitt as firstly is stops your hands from going an odd colour and secondly it creates an even appearance on your skin. And another advantage is that is can be washed off easily too! So my tip for using this product is to put it on after a bath/shower at night, sleep on it and in the morning have a shower/bath. Do this a few days before a night out or whenever you feel like having a tan and you will have a natural glow to your skin!
I purchased my first pair of Toms in the summer just gone and it was defiantly not the last pair I was going to buy... as i bought 3 other pairs afterwards! These amazing shoes are THE comfiest shoes I think I have ever bought, and I wear them everywhere! Hence why I have so many different colours! They are fashionable and funky that both GIRLS and GUYS can wear! I have worn my on the beach, walking to places, around the house. I LOVE them. People do say however that they do tend to smell after you have worn them quite a few times... well I have an easy solution ... shove them in the washing machine... sorted. Just my advice is to put them in a pillow case and on a low heat setting and leave they to dry and they are like new again! Also people have said they are expensive, but if you are a student then places like office and republic do student discount! Brilliant! Also part of the price goes to a good cause, a charitable cause! I would defiantly recommend these shoes to anyone who wants to keep up with fashion, has a smart/casual style and who likes shoes that are comfy and you can walk everywhere in!!
I was a big fan of the novel of Warhorse and when I heard of it becoming a stage production I was so excited! The use of puppets for the horses, animals and some of the characters I believe had an amazing effect! 5 minutes into the production I completely forgot that what I was seeing on stage were in fact puppets and not real. I found I became attached from the horses from the beginning and found it difficult to accept that they were in fact puppets. It is so cleverly done that you even forget the people who control the puppets and just see the puppet as one real thing and you can't help but become emotionally attached to the horse/puppet. My worst worry was if it was going to stick to the novel and to my relief it does and does not miss anything important out. I believe the actors live up to their character descriptions in the novel and so does the horse Joey. Another benefit is that it allows the audience to realise the true horrors of the First World War through a different setting, through the eyes of the horse. I believe that this is a 'must see' production and I have not read one single negative review about it, I have already booked my second viewing of it.
I have lost track of how many of these little pots of wonders I have, but I tell you I won't stop buying them either! I absolutely LOVE this product; I think it is a brilliant idea to add uniqueness to nail polish and quirkiness. The first colour I purchased was the black one which actually is the one I use the most. I purchased it at Halloween and painted it over the colour of green (as I was a witch) as the effect was brilliant! The texture and vibrant pattern is mesmerising! It dried very quickly and didn't disturb the nail polish that was underneath. I have found that the more colours you clash on your nails, they better the effect of these nails varnishes have! I have a pink one that I put over purple nail polish that has a very funky effect. But also it can be used on its own which again has an equally funky effect. I say this is a definite must have essential for your make up bags ladies!
This was the first Sony Erricson phone that I purchased. I was drawn to the modern twist of the touch screen on the side for the camera and the long clear screen. Also, Sony Erricson's are well known to be a music Walkman. However I found I had to buy and extra memory card to store all the pictures and music, but this only cost me an extra £5. Texting on this phone I found was very easy and the screen is clear and simple to understand. The camera is very good quality and quick to use as all you need to do is pull the upper half of the phone upwards to release the camera, unlike other phones that you have to search for the camera app which is a hassle! The main problem and only problem I found with this phone is that is froze towards the end of my contract. I suppose this is to be expected seen as I dropped it numerous times on a night out, however from other friends who also had the phone, they also had the same problem.
I purchased these jeggings as an act of curiosity really. I have seen people wearing them and wanted to see what the huge thing was about them. I purchased a size 10 and wore a white top and shirt and I love the look instantly! I love wearing leggings as it is but I was getting bored with the black look all the time. So if you are like me and enjoy wearing leggings but want a twist to them then I suggest buying these! I wear everything with them and also unlike some leggins they aren't see-through so you can wear a t shirt without showing the world what knickers you are wearing. Advantages: Comfortable, breathable, go with any top as they are pretty much jeans and best of all you can walk normally without the "stiff" feeling of jeans. Disadvantages:They do tend to stretch. I bought a size 10 which is what I normally am, but I have found they have stretched after washing so I recommend buying the size smaller.
I was introduced to Clearasil by my brother who had skin troubles from a early age, however I was lucky enough to not have this. My brother swore by Clearasil for all skin types and troubles and loved how it never dried out his skin. He gave me a bottle of Clearasil ultra deep pore treatment scrub to use. Okay my first impression of the product was that it had quite a strong smell to it, which made me a bit wary. But however, when I used it that night, it made my skin feel clean, refreshed and hydrated! The beads that are in the scrub really exfoliate your skin and leave it tingling and feeling vibrant. I have always used facial scrubs because I love the feeling of my skin afterwards. This product comes in a large upright tube and can be bought at around £4 a bottle, but however keep a eye out in Boots for when its 3 for 2 or another offer ( which also means Boots points!) But even though its quite expensive it goes a long way. It has a flip top that makes it easy to dispense the scrub onto your hands even when you are in shower and blinded by shampoo and conditioner. Whenever I use it, I tend to pay a lot of attention on my nose area and forehead as this is where breakouts tend to occur, and I rub in circular motions on my skin which leaves it smooth and glowing for the day ahead ! I would recommend this product and I would buy it again!
This tiny pot is a pot of wonders in my eyes. Ever since I was little I was never without a lip balm, and since I've discovered Carmex lip balm I've always had one to hand. Except this little pot is different to others. I have lost count of the lip balm sticks that have broken and fallen off or I have lost the lid and I find them a few weeks later at the bottom of my handbag with the remains of a bag of crisps I had left there. The pot is bright yellow and about 4cm (ish) in length so it's very easy to find in the shops but also when you are on a mission to find it in the depths of your handbag or room! The price normally ranges from about £2.20 which is great for the amount of time it lasts, which is at least 2 months! Even more depending on how much you use it! The unique thing with Carmex is the tingling sensation you have when you use it, which really convinces you that something is obviously going right! However, a disadvantage to this product is the smell, if you aren't a big fan of strong smell body care products then you might find it difficult to use Carmex because of the smell. For me, this isn't a problem as when I use it at night it doesn't matter, but during the day, it still doesn't bother me. Overall, this product and Vaseline are by far my favourite lip balms!
I am a big fan of Bourjois make up and if it is on offer I jump at the opportunity ( only because it is very pricey!) When I heard that the make had released a new mascara, I was determined to try it as Boujous are known for their defining and big volume mascaras which I am a huge fan of! ( especially 1001 lashes) Boujous Elastic Mascara is very similar to their previous new mascara 1001 lashes with the the brushes are very similar and it has a similar effect on your lashes. The brush is the style of a defined comb which is designed to separate your lashes enhancing the length and appearance. My eyelashes are long and thick so sometimes some mascaras tend to clump my lashes together more easily than others. But I find that the way to get the best effect from this mascara is to lift your eyelid up so your lashes are lifted and then zig zag the mascara brush from the base of your lashes. This avoids clumping my lashes together and also gives them a separated look. A disadvantage about this product is that it only separates your lashes, it does not add volume. So because of this, I normally use a volume based mascara to begin with then followed on with Boujous Elastic Mascara to separate and define my lashes. I find this is the best technique for my lashes and all lengths of lashes! The price is defiantly not a disadvantage as at only £4.95 on amazon, this is a great offer! But also, it is frequently on offer in Boots which also means Boots points too! Overall I do rate this mascara but not on its own. I find it really shows its best effect when used as a final coat to your lashes.
Now I have always sworn by Matte Mousse foundation by Maybelline but when I saw this new foundation Superstay 24 hour foundation in Boots for a similar price to my usual then I thought, why not try it. I am always a bit wary of trying different foundations all because I just want to avoid the worst disaster possible with foundation... the orange face effect!! When I got home, I was desperate to try it out, not only because I was excited to try it out but also worried that it wouldn't have the orange effect! The bottle is very sleek and smooth design but fairly simple. It is a glass bottle with a pump at the top. The pump is small but the exact fit for any shape of finger, but also it is designed so to dispense the foundation sparingly. I was a bit confused at this and so did the mistake of pumping quite a lot of foundation out and using it then discovering that you only need a little amount !! The finished effect was great! It wasn't streaky or greasy and best of all .. NOT ORANGE! Now, it claims to 1)Resist heat and humidity and sweat resistant 2)Non transfer (wont rub off on your clothes) 3)Flexable and breathable all day comfort 4)Oil free (so wont block up your pores) After I bought this foundation I was going on holiday to Menorca and so decided to really put this foundation to the test to really see if it can withstand the summer heat... and I was pleasantly surprised! It really did stick to its word! So overall, for £8.99 I really think this is a good buy and highly recommend it!
I have bought strapless bras from literally EVERYWHERE and never really found one that leaves me happy with the result. I have bought them from La Senza and Marks and Sparks but I always found that a) they would push my boobs up and b) they wouldn't be very secure on my body as they didn't keep their positions. My friend however recommended this bra, after being slightly wary because of the price (£35) I eventually I bought it. At first I couldn't decided which colour as you can get it in black white or nude... eventually I bought in black 34C. Wonderbra have made this bra with polycarbonate "hands" that they claim to keep your breasts up as though you were holding them up with your hands. Now, when I took it out the packaging, I was a bit confused and shocked at the style but don't let this put you off at all! It is so easy to put on with the usual hook and fasten, and the shape is all down to enhancing your cleavage. I was extremely happy with the style and fit if the bra, and normally I am a bit wary of buying bras off the internet as I like to try them on for size first as bras from different places do tend to vary in size, but it fitted perfectly!! And also feels extremely comfortable to wear. The reason why I bought this bra was to wear for my brother's wedding the other weekend and my dress was strapless so I desperately needed a good lifting bra. The evening was a complete success! Throughout the day (even through the mad drunken dancing) the bra maintained its position and did not falter at all! All in all I believe that is bra is very well made and will last, but also it is worth its price. But what I love about this bra is that normally with strapless bras I still wear a see through strap to hold the bra up in position but I didn't need to this time! Which meant no dodgy tan lines on my neck from the wedding! I really recommend this product not only because it truly enhances any sized breasts but also because of the comfort and the fit of the bra compared to other strapless bras.
Okay.. I actually swear by this stuff for every cure on your body! Well.. not every cure but dry skin or anything to do with your skin, Olay is perfect for anything! My mum introduced me to Olay Beauty fluid when I wanted a safe moisturiser for my face at night and during the day that wouldn't get greasy and absorb quickly and efficiently! Now, the reason why I absolutely love this product is because of how fast it absorbs and how it isn't sticky or thick or greasy at all like normal moisturisers. This lightness of the fluid makes it absorb quickly into your skin leaving it feeling fresh and clean! I often use this product on my skin at night before I go to sleep and on my hands, feet and body! Because it absorbs so quickly it doesn't make you all sticky before bed! I use it also in the mornings before I apply my foundation because I find foundation makes my skin dry, but by adding a light layer of Olay Beauty fluid I find I avoid dry skin! Also if you are running low on foundation, adding a bit of Beauty fluid to it makes it last just that little bit longer and acts as a tinted moisturiser! Just put a blob of it on your hands and add a bit of foundation and mix! I also find that it acts as a good after sun because of its light texture and cooling refreshing feeling. But most important of all my discoveries is that it acts as a great lip balm! Just rubbing it onto your lips every night keeps them moisturised for the next day! Overall, I love this product and because of its handy size I literally take it everywhere with me because you never know when you might need it !
I have always been one to be picky with my mascaras. I have very long thick eye lashes and because of the length they tend to clump more easily with some mascaras, and because of this I tend to use a volume and a separating mascara as I find this is best for my eye lashes. I came across Rimmel Max volume flash mascara in boots when it was on offer for around £5. I hadn't used Rimmel mascara before so this was a bit of a jump in the deep end for me. However I was very happy with my purchase!! It is great for adding volume to my eye lashes from the roots and not clumping! Bonus! The brush is very thick and it looks as though it will clump your lashes because of how dense the brush bristles are, but it really doesn't! I always use black mascara as I have dark hair and features but I think it does come in brown too! A tip that I always do to my lashes when applying mascara is to bring my upper eye lid up with my middle finger so to bring up the lashes so I can coat all my lashes with the Rimmel mascara ! All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and have continued to buy it ever since my discovery ! Pros : coats my lashes extremely well without clumping Gives good volume to my lashes Reasonable price! Seems to last forever! Cons : Does tend to smudge easily when it gets onto your skin
